  1. Sup dude. Well done on your first cannabis post online. It's already clear you getting alot of solid advice here and not just the owes burning the midnight oil on Google. A few months ago I was in your shoes and then I met this lot . Growing in secret for a long time, not having people to share your stories with or to get help from or to help. But it's here and it's local. So just to add on Firstly as painful as it is you should wait to see some roots in the cutting you take before flipping plants from seed. Even then upto day 14 you can still take clones without getting too much funkiness when they root. But yeah shit happens. So you would want to take her out of the flower room soonest after realizing shes the one. Transplant her into a slightly bigger pot (even though shes probably already in a big pot this is necessary, just a little more root space). Harvest all the really big buds as you planned . Leave some of the smaller A grade buds with whatever larfies etc you still have left. The more you leave the better the chances. You will still be able to remove buds as bad stuff starts happening to them. The idea is to only focus on keeping her alive. At this point its best she goes under 24hr light, not intense lights. Switch to mild veg nutes. And then it's the wait. It will just suddenly oneday start pushing out new growth out a bud... You gonna see the usual smooth leaves and twisted growth. After some time you will be able to take a healthy cutting of her to clone. Good luck Sorry for repeating some of the things that were already mentioned... Smoking the good shiat this side .............................. The terps you smelling sounds really good. Also nice lines you hunting. Feel free to share some pics and how you grow.

  2. I found some old pics of the final days of my 1st DP grow. Thought I will share some pics! Better late than never I guess!

  3. Haha, you and I are in the same boat regarding defoliation. I have also left my current plants with more leaves as well as more bud site, see how it turns out. Doing a defol def seems to help reduce the transpiration the plants do and therefore it does appear to affect the RH, in my experience at least.

  4. Hey all, So I was going to wait till my stuff arrived, but I figured I may as well show my grow tent build and then I can update about the first grow later on. I have a bunch of stuff that should hopefully be delivered within the next week so I can start my new grow (Pots, PH meter, soil, seeds, extractor etc). I bought 2 fem seeds earlier in the year and tried with that and some bag seed. But it was just too late to be starting in the season AND I was plagued with issues. But I have learnt a lot and have read even more and I hope that will pave the way to a great grow now. I am also moving indoor hence the thread My next seed order contains some auto's and some photo's. I am going to be starting with 2 critical autos from different seed banks. I want to run a few autos to try out some stuff and see the results. Anyways...to the tent! As I was trying to get this grow up and going with the "least" cost but still a good build, I decided not to buy a tent, and rather allocate that money to lights etc. This is the dedicated grow area. 80cm x 90cm x 200cm (but I could go higher). Its in a garage, so hanging the light should be easy. I decided to use 20mm conduit as I really only needed enough strength to hang the material around the tent. The light I am hanging from the roof. Even if I did want to hang the light in the tent, I think with a bit more roof structure it would manage the +- 3kg LED easily. Here I started on the first flat frame (for the front or back) and am checking the width fits in. Lots of 90 corners and t pieces Frame upright now (back) First support beam in. Sadly I didn't realize that the 90 corner and the T piece don't extend the same length. So when I cut the same width for top middle and bottom, the middle pulled in a little more. Its fine for now, will maybe replace eventually or just upgrade to a proper tent. So here you can see it pulling in, in the middle. Front frame and back Structure now joined front and back. I ended up adding another support which made it nice and rigid. I was resourceful and used "space" blankets AKA rescue blankets. 3 of them got me about 90% covered around. Completely covered. Little gap in front where I will be checking in. Top view down I then rolled out black painting sheeting, the stuff you get at builders to cover the floor when painting. Basically big trash bags. I covered all sides and then did an inset to the bottom as well as a roof that flaps over everything. Finished product, you can see my spot on top where I will connect the light. I ended up using only one of those and hanging an old small chain I had from it as the light has a cradle and single point to hang from. The chain is awesome, because with the carabiner, I can adjust the height quite easily. This doesn't cover the light getting in 100% but probably in the 90% region. As it is in a garage, I do not need to worry too much about light getting in. Currently I am also on a 12/12 flower cycle with it being on 6AM - 6PM. So even if there was outside light, it wouldn't;'t be much. I am considering reversing this on the next grow to get the light on at night and warm the tent ever so slightly for being an LED. But for now, this is where it is at. Tent finished and testing the 3 light modes (veg, veg+bloom, bloom). I hung the light from the open roof rafters in the garage so that worked out nicely. Outdoor plant finishing off flower in there. Sadly this was one of the learning curve plants. Week 5 flower and almost nothing on there. But this one was bag seed and as mentioned, the one to learn on. I am running a fan on #1 inside to get some light air circulation. I have a 150mm exhaust fan on order with ducting. So for now I am planning to pull air out the top of the tent, and passively let fresh air pull in from the bottom. As it is in the garage, I am not sure how fresh this air will be. Eventually I will have a second fan to push fresh air in. For now, if I have enough ducting, I may connect the ducting to the outside, so hopefully it pulls fresh air passively, else I will just let it pull air passively without the duct, from the garage "air". My garage is clean and not an oil filled smelling one, so no real worries there. I also worked out the air exchange for my cubic metres and I should have no issues there. I have also got a small 9w heating pad that I am using the keep the plant a bit warmer at night. Day temps at the moment are around 25 C. At night this is dropping to sub 15 C with winter approaching. The heating pad keeps the underside by the tray around 38C (I have one temp probe there) and the roots are around 20-22C from what I can tell (another temp 60% into the medium/soil). So as far as I understand it, as long as the roots are warm, the rest should be also. By the time summer comes, my air exchange will need to be good as the garage gets hot. But we will see. Also worried that at this point the 150mm fan will be too much and cause too much cooling. But I am not planning on running air exchange at night. Not sure if that is good, or if I should have air exchange when the light is not on? If I do need it, then I will set it up with a timer to run like 15min every hour or something. Oh and the most important bit, building this tent came in at under R450. Hence me wanting to do this, because as a first indoor grow, this should do compared to a 1500-2500 tent. Next steps >>>> Once all my stuff arrives, 2 x 40l pots are going in with the 2 different Critical Auto's. I will toss the current plant out then and give the tent a good bleach down clean. I have some powdery mildew on this plant, so want to avoid that hanging around.

  6. @Prom That is the thing, how do we get from "I" to "we". Someone will have to take "charge" to get people to do things because people don't have their own initiative and a leader will just lead us to the same situation we're in now, and let's not forget the balance in life that makes for that one guy that will stab everyone in the back. For all the good there is just as much evil, they say? Sadly, this rainbow nation of ours boasts about it's rich multicultural coexsitance, all for shits. I see your point about needing some else to take over. I like that and I agree with it. I think many of us would like better leadership. Oh yes, someone will profit from the disease, that's for sure. That's probably the biggest reason I would say it might not be all natural.

  7. I know a lot of information has come forward going into detail about what's being done and what can be done, but what concerns me is the information that has been exposed and then pulled back from the public eye. Leads me to ask why we know the things we do. Why all the videos with such "stunning information" is out there and it's all different? Like I said, I know nothing. One thing is for sure, I'll be wearing my mask and keeping my hands clean acting just as paranoid as the next guy untill the stories of people dropping like flies have cooled down. Hope all the peeps and their peeps are still in good health and keeping shit together!!

  8. Don't think there is going back to square one.. the money they spend now and want to push into the economy, will result in taxes.. and we don't speak less. I do not believe that the virus is somehow engineered.. just evolution throwing a curve ball. Over all it is more or less harmless.. imagine it would go direction Anthrax or Ebola. I think Ebola is 50% death rate, the other one is 99% I think. From that perspective we got a nice warning shot.. friendly fits better. With the tundra defrosting, curious what will come out there after the hundred thousand years of ice time But that is just speculation hehehe what isn't speculation, the monetary system we run right now is starting to kill us. The concept of profit in a closed limited resource environment isn't working. We need to change our social system and get from the "i" to the "we"... otherwise.. don't think we will make it. First step.. get rid of all the politicians and military. The pawns never wanna start a war anyhow.. we only die in those.. others start them and make a huge profit out of our deaths. Is one of those points which make me scratch my head. Then we need people studied in the sector they occupy in Government. Not helping, if the Minister for Transport has a medical degree So mainly.. we need people with knowledge and not some cousin or relative, King or what ever douche bag friend he may be. SA is a good example. I am a guest to your country and I enjoy my stay very much. Love the people (not all, but most) and the general vibe in CT. I came here the first time in 2001 and live here since 2008, did the 6 months Europe, 6 months SA before and got sick of the flying.. so stayed in SA. Somebody else needs a chance to control this country, the ANC showed rather clear, isn't the solution. I would suggest to make a change and see if that ends as corrupt as the situation is now. But isn't like this is the only country where things are a bit out of hand. The world goes out of hand.. but I never saw anybody so patiently sit in the dark like you guys Take a European away his electricity and you see them on the streets protesting till the energy sector got confiscated and reorganized by the government. Here.. Government doesn't really seem to be interested in the well being of the economy.. we need electricity to keep things running. So for years and years this goes on. Not sure we want to wait till things collapse.. can't be in us pawns interest.. What will be the result of Corvid-19? We will pay.. like we always pay and somebody made a monstrous profit somewhere.

  9. Here is what the inside looks like today. Bought a cheap bucket to invert and put the plant on (have a piece of wood there too). This will insulate it a bit from the cold concrete floor. Towel has the heating pad in it. And you can see the temp probes for under the tray as well as in the soil. And then a third one which just sits there for the general air temp. You can also se the chain here and how I hung the light + how easy it is to adjust.

  10. If I can.. not always possible ^^ I put my plants into the dark for two days before harvest. Also get no water anymore and stay dry. Is more a method to shorten curing time. The plants just starts to eat them self, you see that leaves yellow rather harsh after those 2 days. If you have a mildew issue before, you do not put them in the dark for two days. Even you keep em dry and ventilated.. not helping ^^ I even made a test with some blue cheese autos.. if there is a difference. In a blind test, friends pointed clear out, the dark weed is smoother to smoke after the same curing time (2 weeks). Same seeds, same fertilizer, same soil, same light.. 2 plants went dark, 2 didn't.

  11. Once again, well done, my dude! That's one good looking plant, besides the diodes you using, you must be doing something else right too!! She's probably chopped by now? One danger about the dark period is the risk of catching a mold in your buds as they love dark humid environments. Best way to avoid is to make sure the environment is super well ventilated and dry and most important that the soil is completely dry. You can basically wait till it's dry as dust and the leaves are falling off already and this kicks off the drying period also. I suggested the dark period only because of the lagging amber trichs, it seemed @Zah was looking for. Otherwise, eh.. also only done it a hand full of times and never really did much for me as I like to harvest with only about 5% amber thrichs anyway hahah. Was quite interesting to see that your experiment, pushing for the amber trichs with the dark and then getting them, to see how it actually worked. We will never be able to say if that's what did the trick!

  12. Can get done ^^ but the resulting plant will be "weaker" as the original. You might be disappointed with the result after your "little" mission. I am rather sure with all the posts, you got all the information you need. The major steps you have to do is remove all flower material, flush the soil very good and put her into 24 hours light (might trim her shorter if you can). I did that a long time ago.. and decided that it was a waste of time.. perhaps also way to inexperienced at the time and messed things up. Wish you all the best for your mission Just saw that Evan posted the bible pages regarding your issue ^^ not the bible written on hopes and dreams.. our bible based on facts. ^^ All there.. do that and you have your best chance.. but still ^^ don't think you get the same mother back, sorry bro

  13. Hello everyone, this is my first post here. In fact its my 1st post on any cannabis related forum. Ive been growing for around 8 years. Recently switched to organic and growing indoor. Some advice would be greatly appreciated here. I have always loved Tangie. For the past year i have been going through 10 seeds of Tangie (its not a lot, but i think its still a decent sample) trying to find the best phenotype. Pheno hunting has by far been the most fun ive had growing cannabis. My Skittles pheno has been a huge success. Btw, there is a huge variation between phenotypes in zkittlez. Ive had some very ordinary skittles which basically was just some skunk. But ive found my winner, i can truly tell you that its pure sour grape crushed skittles. Ive also had a skittles plant renamed to turkish delight. The resemblance to chocolate covered turkish delight is uncanny. Back to tangie. Variance between phenos are much less vs zkittles. Most are great. But most have the orange peel aroma. Now this is fine, but tangie was bred and resembles tangerine. Out of the 10 phenos i found 1 true and spectacular Tangie. Think tangerine or naartjie syrup. Sweet, creamy naartjie or clemengold syrup. For some reason i did not manage to make enough clones, and those i made failed to make it out alive for various reasons. So now my only hope is to reveg the mother post harvest. One huge problem is this plant has almost no growth in its bottom 2/3. A tiny bud and leaves, but very little. The plan is to harvest the big top buds and try to keep whats left of the botton 2/3 of each stem, but it wont be much. Any advice on what i can do to keep this mother alive except 18 hours light and veg nutes ?

  14. Watch the livestream in the link below starting at 6PM our time today. They're hoping to have at least 1 million people watching live. Whether you believe it or not... it doesn't harm you to watch it. https://londonreal.tv/1000000-fighting-for-freedom/ If something gets banned off the silicon valley platforms, that gives me more reason to watch it. Their previous livestreamed episode was banned off YouTube, followed by some more moves: The episode was pulled from various other platforms London Real's LinkedIn account was removed and subsequently reinstated after a revolt from supporters. Facebook revoked London Real's advertising, no reason given. Facebook removed David Icke's Facebook page with more than 1 million followers, no reason given. YouTube removed David Icke's channel, no reason given I don't agree with everything David Icke says and I'm not outright certain there is a conspiracy or hidden agenda behind this pandemic but I don't think that these platforms should be banning and removing videos and pages based on the premise that it's spreading false information. We're not kids, people should always decide for themselves and should always be allowed to have access to alternative views. If a platform is ignoring that basic human right and feels its in your "best interest" not to see a certain video, that worries me and makes me wonder that maybe, just maybe there is some info that David Icke (and a good number of doctors) is revealing that is harmful to someone's agenda....

  15. I normally do a gel dip, then a powder dip. Takes 8 - 12 days to fully root in peat pellets and around 14 days if going directly into potting soil. I mist cuttings and the inside of the tray. Seal for 3 days, then remove the hood on day 4. Days 5 - 8 I allow some fresh air, but still keeping humidity up. Day 9 it gets opened again, by this time, they should have enough root to grow without the dome, but you'll be able to see which tool and which didn't. A very light tug on the stem will give you an indication whether they rooted or not. With pear pellets the roots should have penetrated the outer walls of the pellet at this point. Currently on day 6 and quite a few of my clones have already rooted, but they will only be transplanted around day 12 - 14 to make sure the transplant doesn't stress them too much Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

  16. Grrr... humidity... Atleast you got it back around where you want it. No matter how aggressive you defoliate a week to 2 later it's almost like you can't notice you defoliated. I'm also less aggressive these dayz. I eventually noticed when growing the same strains repeated times that they take longer to finish when I defoliate aggressively . I end up with over vegged plants for the reset. And we all know how fast these plants grow in veg once the get going.

  18. Welcome @Magic I most certainly would like to get into pheno hunting once I've got the space, definitely boss level vibes. With regards to your revegging question, I rate it's possible to reveg after harvest. I would however suggest 24hrs over 18hrs of light to get the plant back into veg. I also believe it could take a very long time before you see results, it is after-all an unnatural phenomenon. I'd also keep it light on the nutes, it's going to go through hellah stress. You'll need to watch the plant and adapt to it's needs on the fly. This is also a possibility, might be easier on the plant to skip the harvest and try get it back into veg before the full bloom.

  19. Decided to give the ladies a light defoliation to get more light and air throughout the plants. The humidity was also sitting a bit high in the 60's range, so hoping this will also help to drop it a little bit as the flowers begin to blossom. Still keeping the overall defoliation less than what I have done before, just to see the results. I've felt like in the past I have gone a bit overboard with the defoliation so I am attempting a healthy middle-ground to what I'm used to.

  20. @Ill_Evansorry for hijacking your post. @PsyCLowni have attached a picture below. They made use of 3 pieces of flat aluminum to mount the QB and then another two angle angle irons for the Meanwell driver. The grow-light got so hot, in a span 30min, I couldn't touch it. I removed the two angle irons that was for mounting the Meanwell driver and I added the fan. Apart from that, the plants and I love the grow-light.

  21. By the power of Jacob Zuma and a 'C' in 'Woodwork', and a tip picked up from @TheUltimateNoob's current grow diary, I built a square frame to rise the cooler box of the shorter plant to try get it closer to the height of it's partner. Didn't get it perfectly right, it's still a bit short, but much better than previously. Definitely going to keep to the same strain when growing two plants at once in the same tent in future. Switched to full on flower nutes now, preflowers are looking pretty. Still a while to go before full on flowers, but it's looking good.

  24. Update : big bud is enjoying absorbing all of the light in the grow cabinet, I have started seeing some amber trichs so have decided to start the flush and she should be coming down in a week or so buds smell like fresh guavas that makes my mouth salivate whenever I open the cabinet, cant wait to try these..... 25. I'd wait for more / longer roots, also I prefer to put seedlings / cuttings into coco first and then into soil if using soil. The coco is a bit lighter and fluffier than soil tends to be, helps give the plant a bit of a boost and get started and established while its still small and starting out.

  27. Let me quickly put on my tin foil hat It's very easy and simple, I figured it out not too long ago... China has a secret lab where they were genetically modifying various coronavirus strains until this one was developed. At the same time the US of A were doing the same, hence why they were in China prior to the outbreak. Trump released their strain of the virus and China released theirs too (hence why 2 strains were confirmed early on). China also decided to modify the 5G towers they have been developing and manufacturing to further assist in the spread of COVID-19 because we know that microwaves are bad and only good for heating of food and WiFi... because internet. The governments are providing false stats to scare us and have decided to implement the lockdown to control all of us, they are busy developing vaccines which will either lead to us becoming autistic or allowing the government to control us (think mind control). and that is that! lol
