  3. Yeah.. I can help you if you have the space and would like to do some pheno hunting.. I'll help you out if you prepared to share some of the fruits.. Swazi Seeds and some Malawi. These are old seeds.. Collected from township Swazi Suppliers in the early 2000s but one of them I have a thread on.. Corona... A batch from 2003. Where you based?

  4. If you raise your child on bread and water.. will not turn into a Arnie. Giving them as much sun as you can.. good.. watering when dry.. sweet too. Growing without gear is like building a house without tools.. will look according to that. The 5L pots should be fine for now, the plant will not become rather big anyhow, when you have proper gear, double the pot size for Autos. Autos demand perfection.. you might wanna start with a Feminized seed. Read up on some fertilizer.. beside light, is the second most important thing to add to improve harvest. No sun, no plant, no nutes, no harvest. I do not count 2-3 joint plants as a harvest Why you add river sand to your soil?? Has any reason behind that??

  5. So i was wondering what else people are growing in their setups? I've started cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce seedlings in my clone room, which will be moved outside in several weeks. They are loving the 300 watt LED. So what else have you guys grown or are currently growing? ***420sa this is not vegetable code*** Dead serious about the veggies i'm growing and want to know what other people are growing.

  6. It's been a while since I've harvested so I should probably close this diary off with some pics Crescendo: Great strain start to finish. Has fruity smell , like over ripe fruit , great taste and balanced high. High quality genetics! Sensi Star: This one is interesting. Came out extremely sweet smelling with a slight hint of spice. Guess I didn't get the "metallic" smelling pheno. Effects wise it's also an interesting plant , although it's a solid indica the high is very much like one would get from a sativa , might harvest slightly later if I ever grow it again ... I don't find that this one puts me to sleep whatsoever. This plant yeilded like crazy and was 100% wpm resistant which is awesome! GBOF: Weird strain this. Although covered in trichomes the buds have very little smell. They smell like cut grass , when crushed there is some minty grape aroma that gets released but not as intense as the name would suggest. The smoke is very smooth and the high is pleasant and uplifting. The plant produced very long thin buds with good density which is cool. Final Comments: I liked the diversity of the three different strains. Each plant was totally unique morphology, smell, and effect. I would definitely wan't to try and grow out some more sensi star to see if I can find some of the other interesting phenos. The crescendo pretty much produced exactly what the breeder description said which is great! I rate I will definitely buy some ethos gear again. And the grape balls of fire was a great yielding stable plant which gives me confidence to try some other local gear in the future.

  7. Welcome yo !! Shem... Seems like you got caught in the middle of everything with this nasty lockdown!! First up - totally correct with windowsill growing... It's not good... You need direct sunlight on the leaves, and not reflected light. So I say take them outside in the morning so they can get the most sun possible... 11 hours if possible as apposed to likely under 2 hours of direct light while the sun rises or sets on your window sil. And then take them inside to a dark dark place... A windowsill here would also suck if you went into the room and turned a light on... It's not as critical with Autos... But it's important to note it. Next as @Prom mentioned, you need good soil/nutrient feeding What do you have for nutrients currently? If nothing.. Then I suggest you go to pnp and buy some Epsom salts, and if you are lucky and they have a garden section, you should be able to find a basic liquid fertilizer... Don't go granular fertilizer as it's often slow release... And you won't have enough time to effectively use it before harvest... Seagrow is a common one or nitrosol is better for flower and both you can find in pnp garden section. Follow the instructions on the bottle and we might just get you to a better harvest than you hoped for... 1)outside in the wind and the sun all day, and in side in a dark place at night 2)epsom salts and seagrow and you will be happy. Prom did mention that autos need perfection... For a good yeild, everything must be right from the word go. Autos do not recover well from stunting and are often quite a challenge for new growers.

  10. That's true. It is pathetic... I guess the police need to have big busts in order to show that they're doing work, but the media needs to really get with the times. Something as simple as an old word makes something seem so dirty. I've learnt to ignore old school negative opinions really early. They don't really have a reason as to why weed is bad, is just is. Seems like the people that run the media have the same mentality. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  13. That's a nice 9 bucket RDWC system that guy has..I mean..had... Although R400 000 is a bit of an over estimate if that is the entirety of that guy's grow and some of those plants look like they are struggling a bit. I also spy a Royal Queen Seeds poster I can only assume came from one of our local seed banks, in fact I might have that same one lying around somewhere Jissis I still can't get over how the media uses the word "dagga". The day that changes is the day that the stigma goes with it.

  23. I must say that the 4:3:4 is doing the trick.. I was worried for this girl as the soil she is in is very sandy and do not have what it takes to see the plant through. What I have noticed though is the fact that if a seedling sprouts straight into soil they seem to sort themselves out pretty decently.

  28. "The Ministry of Justice has drafted a new bill which provides guidelines as to how much cannabis people can grow and possess in South Africa. The Mail & Guardian reports that the bill was developed in response to the Constitutional Court judgement in September 2018 that ended the ban on private cannabis use. The draft bill – which has not been publicly released – states that South Africans will be allowed to possess up to 600g of dried cannabis in the privacy of their homes for personal use. However, they will be prevented from selling the drug – either recreationally or for medicinal uses. The draft document was reportedly sent to the national director of public prosecutions, the department of health, treasury, and other stakeholders in October 2019 with a deadline set for the end of January 2020. It should be noted that the details of this legislation may still change and that it will still have undergo a public consultation period at a later date. The government has until September 2020 to bring legislation on cannabis in line with the Constitution. Hemp regulations The government also plans to open up and regulate the commercial use of hemp products, providing opportunities for small-scale farmers, President Cyril Ramaphosa said in his State of the Nation address on Thursday. Ramaphosa said government will formulate policy on the use of cannabis products for medicinal purposes, to “build this industry in line with global trends”. “The regulatory steps will soon be announced by the relevant ministers,” he said. He reiterated that agriculture is one of the industries with the greatest potential for growth. The Eastern Cape Government has also indicated that it plans to build a cannabis college as a means of creating jobs in the impoverished province. The training facility will upskill farmers in the growing and distribution of cannabis, and will assist with seed, fertilisers and fencing. It is set to be built in the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality in Lusisiki, picked because of its ideal growing conditions." https://businesstech.co.za/news/lifestyle/374310/new-draft-laws-show-how-much-cannabis-you-can-keep-for-personal-use-in-south-africa-report/

  29. "The Bill allows possession of up to 600g of dried cannabis per person, or a maximum of 1200g per household with two or more adults living in it." I am happy with this. I know some of the bigger growers or extracts users will probably have a problem with this. "The commercial model would allow for regulated commercial cultivation, possession and retailing of cannabis, similar to the regime for tobacco and alcohol." This is really interesting. Recreational cannabis on the same level as tobacco and alcohol is a great step. Will obviously need to pay attention to how accessible this industry would be for the small farmer. However we won't see the commercial model this time round, "The Bill, he said, did not address commercialisation of cannabis or licensing, which was being attended to by the relevant departments, including trade and industry, health and social development." All in all, pretty exciting developments on the horizon. Just hoping they don't botch it in some typical fashion..

  30. Luckily there will be thousands of growers by next year... good luck to the popo to police us all. Keep your nose out of shit and I think the sky will be the limmit... If my personal use requires me to have 20kg for oils, extracts and smoking I will have 20kg.. If they want to go after me for that... so be it..

  31. The problem is, it takes longer to grow another single 600g plant, than to consume your current 600g... So if I split it into 6 plants....how are they gonna weigh my plants while wet and in medium? Are the roots, stems and leaves also weighed even though they are not the consumable part of the plant?.... All just potential issues in policing I'm seeing, but overall 600g is a decent amount to be able to have around.
