  1. Roughly the 8 week mark, and she is just cruising to the finish. Only just starting to see a spot or so of PM and removing the leaves as I see them, but otherwise in perfect health. She will go on to harvest by mid to end June I reckon. She is maturing bottom up, with bottom buds starting to swell.

  2. So I decided to give her the chop. 2 weeks earlier than I'd have liked, but she was just klaar. The snail damage did a number and most branches started drying up. Plus our first proper cold front is rolling in tonight. I lost 4 long colas to catapillars that ate the colas from the inside out. Never the less, I'm happy. The haze vibe is there, buds are fluffier than I'd like, but she still managed to stack quite ok, despite a mid flower transplant. Bubbleberries mass of pistils has carried through, and going to dry with a rooibaard vibe.

  4. I'll get a whole pool for you @CreX Can't say I pay much attention to water temp unless it's warmer than 21C

  5. Agreed. The last grow I did I only had puny 20L DWCs and they were not enough! Had to basically refill every day. Now I have these 30L DWCs and they are so much better. Only need to refill every week now in flower.

  6. I like it! I still feel you should get a larger DWC res for next round... It really takes the edge off. Something like a 30l - 40l in that space and you will notice the difference. Currently I set my res up with hortimix up to 1 EC... Literally leave it alone for 2 months except add water that's been displaced... No extra nutes, no pH checks... And the plants explode like volcanoes.... Damn the efficiency of DWC!!!

  8. Hey G, what is your budget? What can you spend on your grow on a monthly basis? Monthley expences is a good place to start in this ecomomic situation we find ourselves in. It does not help you buy the most expensive equipment and you cannot afford to run it. Enjoy your time here. Experiment allot. We all have.

  9. Hi Please help - 3 rows of 3 pots. All a local cannabis craft soil. I have been feeding low doses of Biobiuzz nutes & stimulants through a Blumat drip system. Strain is a Purple Punch cross, ( that needs extra cal/mag and I gave a bit ) . The first row is airpots - and everything looking healthy and green 2nd two rows - locally made fabric pot - bottom big old leaves have turned a pure yellow ( now forming brown patches ) - no curling , no leaf tip burn - and newer leaves are a pale green . Difficult to see in pic one - but right two rows are the pale green ones. I narrowed down to a lack of Nitrogen, ( from what I can research ) so I have given a good feed of BioBizz fishmix. Question is - is this lack of N and why only two of the three rows with cloth pots ? Lack of O2 due to fabric maybe ? PS...There is a knat problem - but not too bad - they came in the soil Please, any advice appreciated 1

  10. Noice... I would even consider consolidation to even larger bucket... Ones where the volume of water in use is lager than currently... Do you measure your water temp separately to your ambient?

  11. Welcome to the forum @Gee88 , best damn hobby in the whole world! Like Skunkpgmharm mentioned, quite a big layout when starting indoor, what kind of space do you have available as your grow area, usually a good starting point to evaluate costs etc.

  14. But why only the fabric pots ?

  15. The genetics between the two are so different I would definitely redo the right plant again if I had to choose between the two for this manifold technique. The left barely stretched and grows really really tight. I'd probably recommended the left plant as a Sea of Green technique, but still confident on getting good yield and bud from both from this harvest

  16. For a 60 x 60 area I would grow an autoflower under a Mars TS-600, which is R2 900 at the moment with the standard 3 year local warranty fulfilled in Cape Town. Thanks @CreX

  19. It looks good. I would not be to worried this late into flower. As long as the upper leaves dont yellow. Take off the leaves as they go completely yellow.

  21. Well, it's been more than a few hours but; Greetings everyone! Lol Update time. The tent is looking awesome right now. I changed the timer to 12/12 and flipped the bloom switch on as well. They're due for a feeding when the light comes on later. They're also in for a major defoliation in a few days... Let's hope it isn't too much for them to handle. So I took on a small project that took me about 45 chilled minutes to get done. A Small DIY CO2 generator. I know some of the advantages and disadvantages of running CO2 in a tent and how to properly use it, but I figured it couldn't hurt even though I have a vented setup. I'm not gonna seal up my tent, try to control climate and all that stuff, it's just something new to do and maintain. Please don't hate, lol. To make the generetor; - I simply rinsed out a 2L bottle, filled it a bit over the label with tap water (my tap water is pretty clean @67ppm). I know distilled water is better to use but I wasn't up to waiting for some to get delivered or setting up a quick distillation apparatus. The cost is minimal this way. - I added almost a cup full of brown sugar and shook the bottle until all the sugar was dissolved. - I made a hole in 1 bottle cap for the sugar/yeast mixture and hot glued a pipe in place for the CO2 to travel through as well as to serve as a detector in another bottle. - I added a 20g sachet of dry, high foam superbrew yeast to the bottle and shook it up a bit (closed with a normal cap) first to mix it up. I then screwed the cap with the single pipe onto this bottle and left it aside to allowe some time for the mixture to start reacting. - I made 2 holes in the cap for the "detector" bottle, 1 for the pipe from the first bottle submerged in water and the 2nd to channel the CO2 to the circulation fan with both pipes sealed onto the cap with hot glue. The pipe is submerged so it can develop bubbles as CO2 is being formed. This is so I can monitor how active the mixture is. - I tied a small hand towel over the yeast mixture to shield it from my grow light and placed everything in the tent. I'll maintain this yeast solution by emptying out 70-80% of the solution out, filling it up with fresh water and adding another cup of sugar. This will be done every week or so, I'll judge by how many bubbles per/s can be viewed at the detector. The process creates byproducts that will make the solution toxic to the yeast if left unattended for more than a week or 2. Here's a short video on the setup; https://www.instagram.com/p/CAgmEdQh96P/?igshid=5rkucicrj7bt I'll put up a few pictures of it also, in case the link doesn't work for you. I've included a few shots of the girls as well. Enjoy.

  23. Not too shabby man - iv just read through this thread to make sure i didnt miss anything along the way that led to your last update. Everything looked solid, but now in this last update the plants are droopy. i couldnt quite make out how often you feeding your ladies? you said you mix 4 different ph levels to balance the feed. but not sure if its 4 times a day or 4 times a week or less. the droopy leaves indicate one or both of the following - over watering or a problem with your root zone. have you just watered or taken pics during lights off? or have you noticed any issues?

  24. Aaand here the Ethos Strains are; Inzane on the left I gave them another defoliation a couple of hours ago and I'll flip them soon. Just waiting for the to-be clones grow out a bit more. Hopefully it doesn't get too crowded once flower is in full swing. The first 2 pictures are the before shots, last 2 are the afters.

  29. Another week, and she's starting to fill out all the space in her buds. About a month left. She is maturing bottom up, and foxtailing pretty evenly. Her terpene profile has also completely changed on me. Hardly any bubblegum, but citrus and chocolate.

  30. Another week, some progress. She is still pushing pistils like crazy...got to wonder when she is planning on finishing. She's practically only just past half way now. Have a snail infestation that is literally ringbarking this girl, so I made a copper collar around her base. Hopefully it'll keep those bastards I couldn't find away. I'll be hunting daily now for the next few weeks.

  31. Thanks man, going to do an update tomorrow and show off some preflower The great and powerful @PsyCLown hooked me up with this particular 250W QB. So far loving the performance and it's up to this point comparable to my experience with using 250W MH/HPS. I will make my overall opinion once I get that sweet sweet smoke into my eager face Strange that you are getting different results from the three QB's do they all use the same diodes and driver?

  32. Another week and she is going on really well. Been an absolute nightmare scanning her for nanners every morning, but all her new growth is healthy and normal. She is pushing pistils like crazy still...

  33. She is doing well so far. I've been able to cut down on my watering to once every 3 days, and she is recovering, with new growth healthy and overall colour and posture just happier.

  34. I had to make a decision as I simply cant water her twice or 3 times a day. She got too big for this pot in organics, and more damage is being caused because of the frequent watering, and pH issues. I will run her again in the ground or in coco, but she still has way too long to go, plus minus 6 weeks. This also is a good stress test. I doubt she will hermi from the transplant as her root ball wasn't damaged, but let's see. She displayed no transplant shock, and is already after 3 days looking much better. I wont be using this white pot again unless I bury it. I dont like the algae that it caused. Algae robs the roots of oxygen. And third day after transplant...her leaves already pulling up.
