Haha...That is the thing.... if you upgrade the power plant you will need to at some stage upgrade the drivetrain. Or get ready to cry big tears because you will break something. Swop overs from diesel to petrol or vice versa also needs to be done carefully. I usually laugh when okes ''chirp'' put a lexus V8 in your van.... Yes, the power and sound will be awesome. But the g/box, diff, prop and brakes will never handle it. To upgrade all of that is another ballgame. Secondly, why would I ''destroy'' a beautifull ''go anywhere'' one of a kind 4x4 with excellent fuel consumption. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk3 points

What did you mix in to start with? How long did you cook your soil? If you did amend your soil and you find that no nitrogen is availible tjen add microbes. Compost teas or microbe teas. If you want to take a short cut with microbes you can try explode grow. From papaj's. Fast remedy is to get products from Jamies garden shop. He has a product called bio-nitrogen.2 points

A week of drying, and I spent the entire weekend trimming all this up. Lost about 170g to bud rot, caused mainly by the massive Caterpillar damage. Managed to manicure 260g that's in the bottles and about another 50g hanging. Really not a bad smoke at all considering the harvest was a bit early. I'll grow one out next year again, but in the ground.2 points

Most people into track racing prefer RWD.. I do not have the needed cash to do that. Friend of mine has a 911 GT3 at the Nuerburgring. Is something totally different and would drive circles around my heavy stationwagon I am more Porsche fan myself, you just feel the road so well, had 2 in Europe. The wagon i used here, V40 Volvo, gave up.. was giving up a bit since i got it. Have nothing if a car has a little electrical issues.. but when it burns out the brake relay every 3 month (650 a pop). Had to get rid of it.. i just like stationwagons.. practical cars was looking for a replacement and ran into a RS6.. got it for 165k at the time.. couldn't resist. So what the fertilizer doesn't get.. the car eats up for sure2 points

Well for me it's remove the dpf and do a tune. Some call it stage 1, others call it stage 2. I have a ZF gearbox in my car, they're pretty decent! Not dual clutch or anything but performs well and can only imagine how much better it'll be after a software flash. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

My ass starts to itch when I hear things like XT, XR or Transalp. Love the old school big singles. Rode a friends' 81 XT 500 with a SS freeflow....WOW what a lekker thing for a cruise. (actually keeping a sneaky eye out for one....) Road bikes are pretty but they are not for me. Had a go on a mates ZX10, was cool but I knew it would kill me. Great info again. I'd def check PH whether soil or coco. I'll also go with a BlueLabs PH pen and a cheap(ish) EC pen. GHE sounds good, I like the simplicity.. Have you found your yields to be significantly larger and of better quality (and maybe bud density?) by moving to coco from soil?1 point
-
I think we will differ on this point. I mix my own soil. I am on my second grow in the same bags of soil. I have heard of guys in thr US that has been growing in the same beds for 11 years without any issues. I know we are not there in terms of the services that they use to test their soil and then to re-ammend with the correct amendments. But with a bit of logical thinking you can overcome these issues. All and all I struggled with growing in coco. Maybe you guys are just better at it that what I was. But I prefer the science of soil.1 point

Quattro / all wheel drive is amazing! Makes such a big difference in a car with lots of power, or even moderate amounts of power. A friend use to have an S3 with some mods, so not a ton of power but above average and the lack of wheel spin is a game changer in terms of 0 - 100 and quarter mile etc. Depending on the type of person you are, some still prefer RWD although AWD is fun in a different way. would be nice to have the cash for all the toys. But you suddenly also need a way bigger garage I bought my first 911 as a more or less ruined car (SC 1978 model). Just had a bad break up and needed to distract myself. Saw it standing for sale, very cheap, rusted through... week later i had most of the car disassembled. Just do it.. at the end you have a few screws left ^^ still runs fine Was also more fun when the fuel was cheaper. Doing 20l on 100km.. and that is driven conservative. @PsyCLown Stage 1 you should be able to put on any car running a ECU. I would actually recommend it as it should lower your fuel consumption over all (always depends a bit on the driving style thou). Stage 2 you can add if you changed your exhaust and/or air intake. Most cars can handle stage 2.. also very much depends that the guy doing the job, knows what he is doing. Would stay away from all those cheap Chinese plug in tune fakes, costs money, brings zero benefit. When the oil cooler housing is replaced and runs smooth, I want to change the boost setting and give the turbos 0.3 bar more max boost pressure. Because you are very right pointing to the gearbox. If you forget that thingy... can become very expensive Funny story, I had the bad luck in February, that my main engine radiator went bye bye. I looked over the internet to find a used one.. nothing. But also ran into the genuine part price.. so knew what is coming my way. Went to VW here around the corner.. good they do Audi parts too hehe gave the part number and the guy checked on the computer. His chin just dropped "That can't be right, I can buy a used Polo for that" I just giggled at him. "What is the damage, we reach 30k?" "26395 Rand, for a radiator, that is insane!" Fun when the guy selling you the goods is shocked about their own pricing What I can suggest.. if you drive a older Audi or VW.. when you import the parts yourself. There is a sale somewhere for sure.. you can save 30-50% just on the genuine parts cost (shipping/import included). Parts down here are expensive......1 point

I would imagine similar to bud candy, something that is a ripening and or terpenes producer, and rather start with a good soil, preferably home made with organic amendments, rock dust, perlite blah blah, you add the correct Microbes and have them on the best diet possible so their excrement is juicy food for your plant, and your plant and Microbes create a relationship that they work in harmony and as one unit. Wont need to add anything but water throughout grow. Check my full picture of grow, as I have plants going on 3 months old now (pic @ 2months) never had any nutrients at all, just water.1 point

I enjoy my vehicles although have to hold myself back a bit and remind myself to be sensible. So I have a 750cc inline 4 bike and currently have a German 2L diesel car, which I wanna do a stage 1 or 2 on to help her breath a respond a bit better as well as do a software flash on the gearbox. In terms of bikes I do not do off road or dualies, I prefer more a sport tourer or sport bike as opposed to a super bike (super uncomfortable for daily commuting). Neither are over the top, although sufficient and can still allow for a bit of fun and can be seen as sensible. Would love a 3L diesel, the torque one can get from those is insane! I have heard of people having to limit the torque on their tune as their gearboxes can not handle more (auto's). Although a 3L twin turbo petrol would be lots of fun too, but really not something I need as a daily and would be more of a toy. Spending such money for a toy at this point is hard to justify. Same goes for my bike, would love to get something a litter bigger and newer, a BMW S1000R (single R, not RR) would be looovely but I really do not need it. Hard to justify spending the $$$. Never got into doing the mechanical work myself, never really had anyone to help me with it growing up and never had the space either - perhaps not such a bad thing though... Who knows what I may have gotten upto. I almost ended up with a Civic Type-R (FN2), nice cars but forced induction is a lot more fun.1 point

I am more the Honda guy.. learners on a XL 125. Then CBR 1000, CBR 900 (Europe) and Transalp, was my last one and had it here in SA. Bakkie took me out.1 point

Did my fair share on 2 and 4 wheels. Ran a RM 125, them upgraded to a super jetted KX 125, followed by a KX 250. Moonlighted on the enduro circuit, but life caught up and had to prioritize. Didn't enjoy breaking my bikes as a privateer. More emergency room visits than I want to remember, but it was a blast. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk1 point

It is a love/hate affair alright. But then I start her up and get assaulted by the turbo whine from the front and drone from the freeflow when I put foot.....and I cant sell her....hahaha. Blew the motor a while back- dodgy injector. Had her rebuilt with a few improvements. Intercooler is next.... Mopar..... wish I could afford such grand toys but I'm allowed to dream... a Candy apple red 69 Chevy Chevelle SS maybe a metallic blue Yenko Camaro, a pitch black Dodge Charger. There are so many beautifull ladies. Been thinking about a bare interior Chevy Can Am (can't find my Nissan p510 coupe) with a 8cyl ford power plant. Cherry red with a pair stainless side exiting pipes. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk1 point

So I've flushed the Black Fire with, if I remember correctly, over 70L of 65ppm water at pH 5.8-6.0, about 3-5L at a time, with a big soak of around 8L every 3-4 regular flushes. The first flush came out at a severe 1100ppm. I continued to flush the medium and it stayed around 115ppm for 3 flushes after a while so I called it a day. I did a single flush on the Inzane and the water came out 1ppm higher than what went in. I'll use double the nute solution volume next feed to hopefully sort out whatever is left in the Black Fire medium. Both runoffs were at a pH 6.5 so the soil is doing its job and buffering out the feeds to the right pH, and the trees were treated exactly the same so I'm not sure what went wrong honestly. Will update with some pictures in a few hours. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk1 point

Hi all, before I start, I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself, and very glad to be here among like minded people. I'm currently on my second grow and can vouch for @growopz products, not only that but his knowledge on the field and build quality are second to none, which is my personal opinion and experience with them. Look forward to sharing in the adventure with you all, and growing with you all in every way. StickyD4201 point
