This is the worst. Many successful past attempts and then one round is just terrible. It's enough to make one doubt everything they know3 points

Dope Friends Anyone tried curing there buds this way? Took 30g of a sticky Sativa strain I grew from Lesotho Heights bagseed. Very sweet perfumy aroma. Some say this technique increases potency and trippiness. Let's see. After the wrapping the cobs I vacuum sealed them and placed on my Hid lamp ~43C2 points

You can also look at the f~series samsung led strips some of them are 120w if run at 2.4A. I think they are R750 or there about. 4 of them will make a decent light.2 points

In my experience it makes the buds decarboxylated some what because you can chew on some matured cob and it will give an effect, so there must be decarbed cannabinoids in there. Smoking cob is smoother than jar cured and I think because it does a better job at degrading chlorophyll. The taste of jar cured is more preserved than cob, however the high is similar when smoked. The differences come when eaten or chewed plain.2 points

Lovely, Tangwena is a friend of mine. I'm busy growing his Malawi x Swazi. He would be proud to see some new cobs being made in Africa because of his technique he popularized. Its actually changed quite a bit since he has been developing it and he no longer uses corn cob and its done inside vacuum sealed bags now. He used to call this 'canary bud' because it would give him an indication of how the bud is doing inside the corn husks that he prepared at the same time, but then realized that the canary bud was just as good with less fuss involved.2 points

Okay so here's that long overdue update. Apologies for the delay. I was fighting a losing battle with the Black Fire tree, and managed to sort out the lockout issues I had, only to have the tree recover and hermie on me... You can read about it here if you'd like to see what happened; https://www.420sa.co.za/index.php?/topic/3821-Emergency,-advice-needed The Inzane in flourishing. I've transplanted her into a 20L smart pot 2 days ago and did some light LST to spread her out a bit more. The first 4 pictures are from transplant day - the rest I took a few minutes ago. Seems like she filled out the tent well but I know I'll see a lower yield than my Blue Dream tree as this wasn't a true mainline and the bud structure is a bit more spaced out. I'll stick to creating a Flux or regular mainlining from my next grow, I prefer it, also I think 1 tree at a time in this tent is enough. I don't want to have to lose a tree again. She's due for a feed tomorrow, and a light defoliation as well. Will update once it's done. Enjoy1 point

How though? I am not aware of any gas heaters which can be hooked up to a thermostat to maintain temperatures. Having to turn it on / off the whole time is going to be such a pain.1 point

Thanks man! I also found a samsung specific data sheet on the digikey website, getting all the answers now!!! Once things are in motion I'll show you all how I'm putting it all together.1 point

Once the seedlings have broken the surface you can start reducing humidity, open the vents up on the dome and eventually remove the dome entirely. Rockwools are such a mission to not over-water or accidentally dry-out, but I've used them in every grow so far. Just takes a lot of attention.1 point

I have tried these rockwool cubes once without success. I prefer the jiffy pellets, get much better results. How have you prepped the cubes? @Kiteloop1 point

You sir, are a bozza. Thanks for finding that and educating whomever is interested in that information.1 point

Shot for the kind words @1000Hills Nursery , its really chilled, i dig hanging around the forum, seeing all the growers plants and methods. Sharing knowledge and learning more about Cannabis cultivation is the best way to up my own game. I think there are quite a few OG's around in SA, but like any craft, some are weary to teach all of their secrets. As a breeder I would like as many growers as possible to grow super hot bud, cause those guys and girls will really appreciate locally bred fire. Hopefully some more years we can also have the titles of master gardners here in SA. Big shoutout to you as well dude, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication, visable in your current project! Im sure more breeders will follow suite and start collaborations here on 420SA Sounds lekker @420sake any nice winter colours popping up after the frosts? The Indicas will most likely start to finish off fast now.1 point

If you only have PM and no other pests, keep the wash short.. and I wouldn't do warm water as it softens the trichome substance a lot. For PM only, I would only recommend a 2 bucket wash. First Bicarb of Soda, 2g per liter and a tap cold rinse with clear filtered water. You only do peroxide and lemon juice to shock crawlies. Spider Mites and such. PM lets go very easy with just Bicarb of Soda.1 point

If you have to heat.. I really recommend Gas.. gives you heat and CO2.. double benefit1 point

I feel the bud looks better after a wash! I am curious who uses Hydrogen Peroxide when washing their bud and what strength do you use? Heard Hydrogen Peroxide is a good idea if you have PM or pests. Also do you guys keep your lemon and bicarb separate or mix them in the same bucket?1 point

I personally use Blumats, the tropf (dripper) system. Although you can build your own dripper system.1 point

I don't see that working very well or being very efficient. Those cheap fan heaters with a motor work well and even have a thermostat built into them!1 point

Washed buds once, was desperate and impatient. Bud loses bag appeal though, definitely smokable and effective1 point

At the moment we still have lockdown.. and any normal parcel not running priority or Express.. has HUGE delays... just to point that out. Communication is a issue down here hehehe I never used SACF.. never even heard of them So can't comment on their reliability. If you are in a rush to get seeds, Marijuanaseeds.co.za are very fast.. is it on stock, CT has it delivered the next day. Rest, there are quite a few. I think making a page to shame dealers not doing their job or scammers, might be a nice addon to the site.1 point

Just need to give some recognition where it's overdue . I've come across alot of growers who can talk the talk... And just 1 who walks the walk... He's the real OG and the best part is he is humble as fk. Thanks bro for sharing your experience with me and many others... Thank you for liking everyone's content regardless of it being one little stunted plant in a tent to a room full of fire. Guys... How's about a 'like' for @Dank1 point

So the other day I did my first pop directly to soil as it was an auto. It eventually came right after some surgery (kept going in circles). Then the cat destroyed it while digging in my pot. Needless to say, that one I got worried and dug it up a few times. Might of just been a bad seed, but point being I think to wait. I now popped another auto, didn't mess with it, and within 3-4 days its head was sticking out. I think as long as you are giving it the moisture and warmth it needs and planting at the right depth, you should be good. I also found, as mentioned, that with the temps right now, a heating pad under helps.1 point
