Im afraid they are not autos. I only work with regular and feminised photoperiod plants.3 points

Iv found jiffies very forgiving... I use straight tap water with the jiffies, unphed even... And leave the seeds... So far iv had 99% success.... It would be higher... But I was impatient and started digging around and I damaged a taproot... So now I set em and leave em.... And make sure the bowl has water in it so the jiffies don't dry out2 points

So i'm going to give the JIffy Pellets a go. Seeds have been soaking for 20h. I think my issue with the Rockwool was that the PH was too high, I took one out, soaked it and tested the water and is was PH - 8 This time im using bottled water, and double checking the PH2 points

Jarred the GDP, weighing in at 36g So far my smallest yield on a plant in 3 grows although it feels my kinda potent. Should be quite nice after a bit of curing.2 points

Eish sorry to hear about that BlueDream Captn, if there are no cuttings available by you, I would like to offer you something from my stable. Me and @1000Hills Nursery been discussing sending rooted cuttings around, will send him some cuts in July, if the lockdown doesnt gooi n curveball. Getting some of our cuts out to forum members, could start to establish some 420SA forum cuts. Seems natural to send some of the first to our commander n chief2 points

Week5. 06/05/2020 -Critical HoG exploding with growth , I decided to transplant a clone I took from one of her toppings at this point . To clone I used a small cup filled with coco/perlite ,I cut the clones stem at a angle and then dipped in Dynaroot powder. -Caboose slowly making a comeback but her stems and structure is very weak. Looks like she was suffering a deficiency at this point. From google it seems like a Magnesium deficiency. -Autoflower Glueberry OG starting to have some vigorous growth with some nice fat leafs . However the low humidity problem is evident on her leafs .2 points
-
If you have propper soil and enviroment no strains are hard to grow. My advice is decide what you want. Indica sativa hybrid. And see what catches your eye. OG kush is a nice strain to grow.2 points
-
its typical transplant shock that they are going through. i wouldnt train them at all yet - rather wait for vigorous growth to resume they look alive and thats what counts. Dying plants look like they are dying, and yours dont look like they are dying2 points
-
@adre Dont water the plants close to the stem. Rather now that it's been a few days since transplant focus on watering half way to the edge of the pot to promote root growth. Things will change up a gear once the roots start searching for water.2 points

Week4 28/04/2020 -Critical hog Progressing and new growth after topping is ready to be tied down to create the base of my mainline , New growths topped at this point (2nd topping) (pic 1) - caboose straggling along . Looks nothing like pics on internet either.( Pic2) -Autoflower coming along slowly. (Pic3) ***Side note regarding the gavita lights. While researching it was difficult to find the right height above canopy for the gavita 750w. I started my grow off dimmed at 400w and raised it as I went along. initially as per what I found online , I mounted light right at the top but I realized the girls were stretching to much especially since I was dimmed to 400w. Since then I had dropped the lights to 60cm above canopy and currently she is up to750w on power . When the canopy gets to 50cm from light I pick lights up to 60cm.2 points

Ah bleakness cap!! Im sure you have the support of the okes here and nearby to you... I'm sure there are okes with fire clones you could tend to and as for the blue dreams... I would let her finish... I had a plant last run that I thought was gonna be so shit and unsmokable....and it came through in the last few weeks... I think all they way to week 9 I was in the edge and wanted her to come out... Curled leaves and all haha.. Let them live and see what happens2 points

Hi everyone Just sharing my Grow diary on the following strains . Planted on 01/04 (critical) and 06/04 (auto and Caboose) Current strains -Dutch passions Glueberry Og Autoflower -T.H seeds Critical Hog (Fem) -Strainhunters -Caboose (fem) This is my first grow so I’ve made a lot of mistakes but that’s how you learn I suppose . My setup -Mammoth G1 tent (1.8x1.1x2.4) -Gavita 750w hps light -6 inch inline extraction fan -6inch in-line intake fan -4x clip fans (non oscillating ) -1x oscillating Clip on fan. -Humidifier (in the Room not the tent) because my extraction is too high running24/7 dropping my humidity way to low. Best humidity I’ve seen is 45% and lows of 10% average around 28% which is still way to low ( been battling getting this factor controlled especially with the heat the Gavita generates) Medium and nutes -24lt Rootbuilder Airpots -Ghe Flora coco nutes (Flora grow ,Flora bloom) -Gold label coco mixed with 20% perlite .(80/20) So i started by germinating my seeds by dropping them in a glass half filled with tap water . After 48hrs I transferred them to a light sealed container in between two paper kitchen towels and put this on the back of my laptop to stay warm. Once roots popped out I planted them straight into final pots .( in hindsight I should have started in a smaller pot and transplanted so I could have seen the difference myself) I decided to run my lights at night and let them sleep in the day but after 3 weeks into my grow being a newb I took bad advice and changed them to run lights on during the day . I did this change by running them straight 36hrs light on to change the times of light on/light off cycle. Here are pics of them starting out. I mixed up my desfran and critical seed when germinating and one didn’t pop . Based on the growth of the plant I guessed it’s the critical Hog that survived . Hence the plant tag says crit or Des Week 11 point

It is the REB 2,5N speed controller from AMS: http://fans.co.za/index.php/ancillaries/electrical1 point

Cool, and then they can go under your light... Don't be afraid to give them too much light... As long as they are far from the heat they can get all the light they want, just like outside under the sun. It's more cuttings that need low light conditions to get them to transpire less and focus on rooting. TBH I put them under my light from the moment I sow them1 point

@CreX So i used some bought bottled water just to be safe, comes Ph6,5 as standard. put them in a clear container with a lid and in a dark, warm cabinet. Not touching them for 2full days, maybe even 3.1 point

Aweh fellow greenfingers. Just finished jarring the last of the late summer outdoor. Now we trying winter. 1/2. Purple Russian Express lady getting lekker. GDP x White Russian. 3/4. Seedsman Purple bud going pistils. 5-7. Some Winter Fruitpunch pheno hunting going on. 8-9. Pheno hunting ''spoils of war'' Not making the the cut doesn't mean they won't be enjoyed. 10. Fruitpunch potential. Puff, puff pass.....1 point

Fokus on the new growth, that will tell you what's happening. I agree with@CreX just let them grow for a week or 3 and then start with topping or/and scrogging PS - good watering tip you got from Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk1 point

I use an 85w CFL i found that any stronger and my clones take much longer to root. This is in a tiny 60cm x 40cm x 60cm tent1 point

Depends what training you going for. I think they are a bit small still for Lst. I would rather keep it simpler this run and maybe just top some of them to create a nice even canopy. Lst is a pain in my opinion... Much better results can be obtained using a scrog net of sorts... But for now, just let them grow so you can see how they turn out and so you can learn a few things for the next run1 point
-
thanks man , i get what you saying about not training them yet , when would you suggest i can start because plant in picture 2 is making a lot of nodes.... guessing when they are greener ?1 point
-
ahhh ok thanks man will do, but other wise do they seem healthy ? , want to start with some LST1 point
-
Day 3 they looking better but feel they should still be greener, yellow starting to go away but still slightly visible , not sure if im under watering them as i do water them with equal amounts and make sure soil is moist still on 18/6 cycle1 point
-
It will work for clones, seedlings and the very beginning stages of veg. But so will a few CFL lights.1 point
-
I snapped the main stem off when it was still in veg, so the oo Blueberry is half the size it would've been. I think I may have learned my lesson with the next 2, LST working as planned. Schedule of watering plus nutes seems most optimal so far.1 point

Okay, so I fed her a few hours ago and she's doing really well. Can't wait for the buds to start filling out so I can finally see what they look like! I didn't consider the size of the new pot so I misjudged when I would have had to feed her, hence the delayed post. Nothing's really changing, but she is moving along well. She has really good structure but I feel the internodes could've been tighter. All in all, I'm happy with how this Inzane is turning out, and there isn't much longer left. This tree is also due for a defoliation real soon. Enjoy.1 point

Nice man! I was literally looking at these yesterday haha!! I'm keen to get some and do away with silly timers all together, along with the other devices they offer... It really is worth considering How user friendly is the app?1 point

Excellent idea. I actually went in last week to have a look at this unit at home grow depot. looks like a great little unit with nice features, the only reason I didn’t fit this yet is because I see that it’s a power on/off switch and doesn’t slow the speed of my fans . My thought process behind it aswell is that if it’s using temp and humidity it would be a confusing one. seeing that if fans go off . Heat and humidity will skyrocket quick , then fans will kick in have a buffer until it starts bring heat and humidity down. My problem is that when this happens , my humidity rate is dropping so fast compared to my temps rate. Where as temps starting dropping 0.1c the humidity dropping at a rate of like 10% in that same time frame. so by the time my temps come back down to 26c odd the humidity is like down in the 20s for a while. I suppose it’s better than my current situation of low humidity always , Think I may have to go with this option once I start veg on my next grow. I think once I add my carbon filter ( another rookie mistake , should have bought this in beginning) The Carbon filter should restrict my fan enough so that humidity can climb . Now that my girls are in flower and bigger humidity is a lot better . But in veg and seedling stage I had many days where she was sitting at 10% humidity if not lower ( the hygrometer reads down to 10% I think )1 point

Week 3 21/04/2020 -Critical Hog doing well ,decided to top her at this point . -Caboose straggling along. Her first node has the single serrated leaf and her second node the same single serrated leaf not the usual 3 leaf . She gets weirder as we go on. -Auto Glueberry OG looking ok.1 point
-
Week 2 14/04/2020 At this point I start reading about growing properly and realize I need to PH my Tap water and perhaps use RO . ( I stuck to tap ) Critical Hog being 5 days ahead is doing ok besides the PH problem evident on her leafs. Caboose this has been a nightmare strain from the beginning. auto flower Glueberry doing ok .1 point

Shortly after my last update I decided to bin the blue dream as it just continued stretching and produced little to no trichomes. Take a look at these pics below, she had no hope. This was at 6 or 7 weeks through flower and she was still stretching. I have 2 of her clones in flower now and they are showing similar signs just not as bad. Will show you further down in the post. She's a dud pheno Fortunately the Pineapple Express (left in pic below) went alright and I managed to get a decent yield out of her. She was chopped at 11 weeks through flower. On the right are the 2 blue dream clones Fast forward to now... These clones are all in my soil mix which has been recycled. Again the blue dream clones will not stop stretching and they are nearly at 6 weeks through flower. The Pineapple express clone in the pot closest is growing better than her mother in the previous round and is putting out a nice aroma and decent trichome production. The blue dreams, again, are putting out almost no resin and I see myself possibly having to bin these 2 as well... which really is gutting Pineapple Express Clone Week 5 Day 3 Blue Dream Clone - Week 6 Day 4 - She isn't clawing like her mother did but it almost looks like she wants to. Her flower development is poor and continues to stretch at week 6... So in conclusion I'm sitting with shitty genetics that I'm growing here. I have a whole bunch of hobbies that have been stealing my funds so I'm not able to buy good genetics right now, just can't afford it. I have a whole bunch of seeds from @Totemic that I'm aching to grow but regulars don't suit my current situation as I don't have a space to veg out the seeds till they are able to show sex. I will more than likely make a plan regarding that though soon as I'm long overdue for a Totemic tester run. I apologise for the lack of updates guys but there really isn't much excitement to this grow so the enthusiasm for me to update hasn't been there. Will give another update a few weeks down the line.1 point

Awesome entries this month guys, loving them. All the best to everyone! Also a big thanks to @420SA for hosting these comps, it genuinely adds more excitement to my grow every month since I knew about it. I've only ever seen this kind of thing on international sites in fully legalised and regulated countries, so it's really cool that it's being done here as well. Harvest Day - GDP Just finished harvesting the GDP. I think a donked up a bit with how I structured this plant. I intentionally kept a few side shoots quite low down on the plant and the flowers never really developed fully at all, just a couple hairs with barely a bud formed. I ended up chucking most of them. The buds on the main stems came out really nice, but much smaller than anything I've done before. I think keeping the side shoots took away a lot of energy from the main stems and I think this decision was detrimental to the entire yield. I am going to purely focus on the main stems on the next run for sure. Lessons learnt.1 point
