  1. So seeing that i deleted all my posts as it had added 0 value to the site, i decided to do a new diary woth more useless information that will be of no use to any of you. Strain Names : Bud Bud Bling Tingz - Dr Krippling Tropicanna Rose - Worlds strongest strains Slurrijug - (no clue if it is oni maybe) Citradellic Sunset - Ethos Genetics Lumpy Space Princess - Solfire Gardens Mc Slurry - Worlds strongest strains Triple scoop - DNA Genetics I have popped the Tropicanna rose and the bud bud bling tings. and i am running a test. (non scientific and totally dumb move but i have enough tents and lights to mesa around with) so the Vegging Cycle is 12 on 5.5 off 1 on. 5.5 off. the flowering schedule will start at 11on 13 off and will drop weekly by 30mins till i get to 8on 16 off. i am vegging under a 240w unidentified light manufactured on the moon. (dont ask) @ 3000k because i wanna veg under 3000k. no reds as its not really needed under the light. for flowering i will be scrogging all the plants however im wating for my current flowering tent to finish. i will be replacing my Samsung 320w and 240w with more unidentified Led grow lights. i have been testing the lights over the last grow and i am very happy with the results i get from this. below is a Bud that has 4 weeks left till completion under this alien light. So lets see how my little project go. i got 1.3 grams per watt on my previous scrog grow under 240w. so the idea is to see if i can get more than 1.3g using this unidentified light and my the 12:1 growing style. ok let the Slaughter begin.

  2. the Just Cannabis Soil stated that you can grow in this soil with only Water no nutes needed. i am of the Judas type that doesnt believe shit people say even if its "proven" so i bought a bag and stuck a lumpy space princess clone into it. stuck it outside in less than favourable conditions. watered it with Tap water only. below is the result of Just Cannabis soil woth 0 molasses added. microbes and no ph of 7.8 tap water. (of course it got some rain water too. i also if i saw a bucket of water that filled due to rain would chuck that over it too)

  3. Good to see more of these comps coming out. The more the merrier! Happy to be corrected but isn't a true cannabis cup a competition where a breeder submits new strains/cultivars they've been working on for judging? I've noticed a few entities running "Cannabis Cups" in SA and none have stuck true to how they run it overseas. Has a proper cannabis cup been run in SA yet? I thinks it's time for us to get a proper cannabis cup going in SA where we find out who is breeding the best strains in the country. I reckon it will do wonders for developing the breeding industry in SA. They'll get exposure, validation of their genetics etc. Can't think of a better situation where we are relying on local breeders and not so much on the breeders from the US and Europe.

  4. 4 weeks of veg is what I got when I ran 12/12 from seed as an experiment once... I was even able to top it a single time around day 21 or so and it grew 4 mains. Yield was around 30-40g if I remember correctly. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  6. As much as I like to point to really great service companies. This one is the COMPLETE opposite! I can only recommend to stay away from www.onlinegrowshop.co.za, what a friend experienced here, is just to much. The only thing they promise seems to be lies. Honestly, NO exception. Started with: Your lamp is ready and tested and will get shipped right away. (about 1 month ago) We are sorry, the heat sink didn't arrive but have it now. (about 3 weeks ago) (how can the lamp be finished and tested without heat sink?) Sorry we told all those lies, the material didn't arrive, but we send you a better replacement lamp (2 weeks ago) The better lamp got send to the wrong customer. Please send your banking details for the refund (this week) Honesty is not on their menu and for Christ sake, don't support such online shops, they need to close down to not have others run into those liars. Why can't they just stick with the truth, that hard??? Who wouldn't understand, sorry, import issues. Telling that the Lamp is done and shipped, twice, knowing that this is a blatant lie.. sorry, shaking my head with those SA business behaviors.. never experience anything even close to this time wasting, lying your ass off habit. I imported and build my lamps faster as the lamp they promise to be on stock (and way cheaper for me). Lies, lies, lies....

  8. Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. Sorry I missed the whole signing in and sanitizing story. Keen to have fun share some grows and hopefully one day mingle (in a sanitary manner) with some of y'all at a live event one day. I am currently waiting on the current outdoor grow to finish up and I have just popped in the Special Skunk Auto into a some Just Cannabis Craft Soil. Props to Biltong And Budz for the genetics. I do prefer Organic based herb, I know it takes longer but I feel the plant gains so much more, why would you want to rush old mother nature. If I can help or offer advice to anyone I will be around. Thanks guys and girls. Peace, I and I

  11. I agree, it definitly depends on how and with what the nutes are made. In terms of using nitrates and sulphates I guess the molecular structure is "organic enough" to allow use at certain amounts, where as with organic nutes you can just give the stuff. Synthetic nutes can become "too much" for the plant very quikly. The other big difference is the obvious, roots in earth will move a lot further and free where as potted plants are limited, which is the biggest contributing factor in the synthetic nute becomming "too much". According to practical studies done by boss man, using synthetic nutes in an inert medium (coco) just increases the risk of nutrient build up. In living organic mediums with a healthy symbiote you actually have microbes breaking down those synthetic nutes aswell so you don't have to rely as much on flushing as with inert mediums, although it's still recommended. Which if you think about it makes perfect sense. Anyone who can shed some light on this? I'll probably still do my own practical research, just trying to find external views. So in conclusion anyone who has ever told me to stay away from synthetic nutes just cause I'm growing in living soil was just being a bit full of themselves? My "research" isn't final and I am not setting my mind on anything, but choosing who to believe is becoming an issue, because some people are real hard up about what their egos make them believe and they'll try to force it on others even though they themselves don't really know and on the other side you have people with masters degrees telling you different. Kinda a no brainer, but giving the benefit of the doubt to the self proclaimed masters and giving their opinions a fighting chance. With that being said I am fully aware that you still face nute build up and root damage when growing in living soil with synth nutes, but it's actually more so with coco. Which is what we use synth nutes for. I am also fully aware that organic nutes compliment living soils much better and keeps the symbiote healthy, but using your synthetic nutes the right way won't do any harm, with extra emphasis on "USING YOUR NUTES THE RIGHT WAY". Here'a where things get a bit more complicated, although not really complicated at all. Going off looking, smelling and knowing what's in the soil, how do you know how "alive" it is and if so how "healthy" it is and how much synthetics it will take to cause harm. Some conditions will be able to tolorate more than others. How to simplify? Apply microbial and enzyme rich ammendments in the medium, introduce life and keep it healthy and alive. You can push the microbes till you see mycelium colonising on the soil. This brings life to the party and your synth nutes won't be a problem (obviously you still won't be able to apply it however you like, just stick to the recommendations that come with the product)

  12. They're both D and not T ? If so, then I believe the 600D is a heavier material and as far as I understand more dense. I stand to be corrected, although I envision it similar to thread count. A 400 thread count sheet vs an 800 thread count sheet for example. If made from the exact same material, the 800 thread count would also be heavier and contain more material.

  14. How many people competing you think they get? Might be a great solution to stock yourself up. ^^ If you put for 50k prices out and have 2kg weed send to you you made a killer income.. and lets face it, people send you their best Might be a great idea.. stop growing and just organize a Cannabis Cup each year to stock up again

  17. Hi all I'm going to put some pics up here of some Durban x Columbian plants that I kept from cuttings of the last round of seed pops. They have just been put to flowering photoperiod this afternoon and should take about 12 weeks to finish. #2 #6 If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer.

  18. What's the story around using synthetic nutes in a living soil? All information welcome. Motivation for my question is that they use these "synthetic nutes" in big scale irrigation systems on farms. I currently work on a fynbos farm, but have done my share on cash crop and fruit farms and they all do it. It obviously goes directly into the earth and the plants still gets fed. My current boss is a multiple masters degree holder in all things agricultural science at the age of 59 and also the owner of Inteligro. They manufacture and distribute their own nutes and distribute brands like Haifa and such, all specializing in water soluble synthetic plant nutrients and all kinds of other crazy shit. We have a consultant that visits our farm once every 3/4 months and gives us the run down of what to do and feed the plants with, this consultant is twice as smart as my boss. I often listen to their discussions, but only understand about half of what they say. I only apply the stuff, but that allows me to know what it is and it's all the exact same stuff you would use in a normal hydroponic setup, just at different ratios. I know people say to stay away from synthetic nutes when growing in a living soil, but I'm sure it's very much the same as putting synthetic or "hydroponic" nutes on your plants that are growing outside in mother earth. You just have to apply it right. We have an old school irrigation system on the farm, no pumps, all natural. So where we irrigate from we tap into the irrigation system through a manifold then attach a big metal bucket that gets pumped full of pressure and we throw all the synthetics in there and pump it into the irrigation system. Like I've mentioned, we've done this for everything from lettuce to guava trees to fucking king proteas. Consumables, ornamentals, the whole show. Recently finished a permaculture internship on an all organic farm, toughest but best time of my life.

  20. Amazingly healthy roots you got yourself there! Im still trying to find stable genetics for my garden, did randoms in 2018,but in 2019 I have some Ethos Sweet Insanity ,F skittles and Wedding Cake going atm, so keen to see how they stack compared, and which I can keep going and which needs to go.

  23. The 210 is a T and the 600 is D, as @PsyCLownmentioned, and therefore different material make up, the 210 is more a nylon probably or something, I'm not sure, but the 210 seems stronger made, and as much I like Futurama, if their tent has a warning on the site, that they are tight and can rip if not treated well, I tend to stay away from those items.

  24. She seemed to still put on some nice growth even though she went straight into flower, the roots and stem look strong so I'm sure there will be some dense growth at those magical sites of bud formation

  28. If you don't mind not having to cut out your own ducting holes then the Mammoth 120 is fantastic the Mammoth also has more accessibility with the side zip that the DS120 doesn't have. I'd probably go Mammoth. It's a good size tent too.

  33. I have always used some sort of chemical salt fertilizer on my outside plants and on my inside coco and hydro setups.I have tried organic but the inherent issue when faced with organics is that you dont know when the ferts will break down and be available and also the different elements that make up N P K values wash out at different rates, so how do you effectively top-up and control this ? I have to say that I have grown "organically only" speaking, and the flavoru and smell was much better than with chemical only grows. This makes sense because I added a variety of organics that eventually when broken down contribute to the terp profile of the plant in some way.Im no expert so that may be way off I stick to chemical nutes because of simplicity sakes, you measure your water ,throw in nutes, stick in a EC/TDS meter, adjust ph, then you are done.Different plants have different nutrient requirements and I find you can really push a plants limit and sometimes you have to because inside grows are costly and you may be chasing an effective g/watt. At the end of the day, you either feed the plant nutrients directly (Synthetic) or you feed the microbes in the living soil that break down and then makes nutrients available to your plant(Organic). The downside of combining the two methods is that your chemicals could alter/kill microbes in the living soil.I have done experiments many times when switching out an organic plant for nutes and the plant gets stunted for about 2 weeks before resuming growth.I guess its up to the type of synthetic fert you use and its manufacturing process that determines how it affects soil microbes.

  36. Amnesia Mom reset... It has been many generations and she's stills an amazing plant... Indoor and Outdoor... Anyone would be able to successfully grow her. Ticks alot of the boxes. Great structure, unmistakable stem rub through all cycles so much so that she doesn't really need to be labeled, not a fussy feeder, early finisher by day 54 is when she's perfect for chop down , big yielder, top bag appeal, smells and tastes like pink grapefruit. Decent high 1-2 hours. Her cons... She foxtails easily... Too much light, during flush and any other unnecessary stresses. Kak to trim. Can be a bit of a mildew magnet...

  41. The Dark Street come with a bit of extras and you can customize to how you want the placement of extraction and inlets etc. You basically get a sealed tent and make your own holes.

  42. Secret Jardin Dark Steet tents are the best on the market imo They come with much more than just a scrog net. They have a space saver that prevents the tent walls from being sucked in due to extraction. The tent comes completely sealed and you choose where you want to make holes for your extraction cables and intakes. The intakes are also light proof. You also get clips to manage cables. I think me and Cool J spoke on Facebook
