People dont seem to grasp communication, and promise what they cant deliver. Just be upfront, say how it is, and others will respect that and you for doing so... You make a promise and dont deliver, it doesn't reflect well. So many people want work or opportunity to make a living, and others are nonchalant about their current. Flippin SAD3 points

Planned to run my Burple light, but with no specs and anything I was not very comfortable. So with some research and asking around I got this light from @Master_G. Want to hit the ground running so will see how everything works out.3 points

Howzit all. I changed over to 12/12 the weekend, got so excited I spliffed up got stoned and built a bigger grow box. I have got space for bigger pots now so my question is. Can I wait until I can tell which sex my plants are then transplant them.2 points

Thought I'd leave my experince here too. I too ordered a grow light off their website. I ordered 480w led bars. It took about a month to get to me after also nagging and nagging for days on end. Every week I was told at the end of the week my lights would arrive, then Monday I would be told the same storey again. It was repetitive to be honest. It's difficult to keep your cool and with no physical shop etc it's really tough following up. On another note though. The light that I have is actually of really great quality. I've only recently started using it so hopefully will see in the long run what it can do. My rating: 1/5 for customer service 5/5 for product quality and price2 points

I do agree fully there, and have when using jiffy pellets, gotten 100% success rate with seeds and clones. But got the rockwool starters for a clone project, and thought while I had them I'd use them for the seeds. Next time, jiffy pellets or straight in as you suggest to the home. Much safer and simplest way. Oh yes, all 50 odd clones I did last month in the rockwool, came out 100% success so thought seeds would be good...lol.2 points

I found the most success with placing seed straight into the medium, I have germinated many seed successfully in paper towel but somehow many don't survive after planting. So far all my cheap Bulkseed bank seeds that I placed straight into the medium germinated and grows well and my previous 5 with the paper towel method only 2 survived (many other factors can play a role which caused the failure) so I am sticking to straight into medium. (Currently have a winning cake fem and cheese auto waiting to pop)2 points

Omw, just look what I saw after agreeing with your post above and battling to get 1 out of 3 zkittlez to fully come up and be seedling. Life hey...2 points

@TheUltimateNoob hey bro. No grow journal yet for me. Only keeping a photo diary and some manual notes. This being my first indoor grow, and also new to forums, not even sure where to begin with a grow diary. Yours was on point have to admit. So on the mainline topic. I think we have to engage a bit on the different 2 methods most commonly out there. One being the Nugbuckets method and the other the Nebula haze "flux" mainline. As I understand you ran the Nebula Haze method?2 points

to this very day i absolutely stress about seeds and seedlings. they will sprout on a rock outside but inside they will die for the slightest anything. does my head in. thats why i have clones clones clones2 points

We are here to help, share knowledge and experience. So happy to be of assistance. Exactly right, haha. That slow fade off on humidity and temp toward the end of flowering is key, most guys run such a low humidity it makes the plant perspiration so much, it cant absorb any co2 through the leaves as there is only one way flow happening. So to low a humidity in veg will only block the co2 uptake and slowing the whole system down.2 points

I bought 2 of those ACDC LED flood lights after reading your recommendation, The are really bright (just run hot imo, nothing a small fan cant fix) For the price of the 100w and 150w its a steal!2 points
-
Hit up Acdc, they have decent veg lights that are really good enough! Or @Master_G, I think he have a diode or 2 to string together for you You could try a dark spell to try coax out some fast showers. Put the ladies in a dark area for 3 days and you should be able to see something happening2 points

Thanks man. Just waiting for sunny day to move lights to new cabinet. Don't ask, cfl's.2 points

And if somebody would like to get their own Serenade. Even Amazon sellers not shipping to South Africa. Go to www.planetexpress.com, sign up and you get a US Address. Then order over your new address, planet express will send it further to you to SA at a low charge added to the shipping. They also pool several orders into one parcel, less international shipping fees total in most cases.. and they are very very fast The delay will not be on their side. Service is tested already with quite a few parcels. Waiting for FloralNectar Pineapple, Banana, Blueberry and Fruitmix. Wanna test if it really enhances the taste as promised. Even I contacted the producer of FloralNectar directly, nope, only shipping US. So Planetexpress makes things rather easy for those cases.2 points

I have no idea to be honest. I watch them, photo and measure once a week keeping my eyes peeled for balls or something?? (To much Google). That's why I joined the platform. Loads more questions and learning on the way.2 points

You are right, it's not critical. I like to follow the VPD chart and find I get the best speed and plant performance doing so. Also I would try stay away from 70% unless having very good air circulation and changes, other WPM creeps in, in my experience.2 points
-
You are right man! Higher humidity in veg is more desirable than low RH in veg. @Newbe_2020 But neither are crazy detrimental in veg... Only if you are hitting 100 or 0 should you need to worry. Keep between 40 and 70 and the plant should be fine2 points

I add my 10 week BioBizz sheet.. this is the feeding plan I give 10-11 week strains. As plants can't read you always have to use your brain and adapt to the plants current status. grow sheet10.pdf If you check week 7 on the sheet, it states 4 G (Grow), 4 B (Bloom) and 3 T (TopMax). I only gave 2 TopMax as the flowers are just not big enough and the stuff is expensive. I am also rather sure the Gorillas will do 11 weeks (Flush gets replaced with 4/4/4 and a flush week added).. I will late harvest them like all my weed for taste. During Pre-Flower I also swap Fish-Mix and Grow for each feeding and flower i stick to only grow (just for the added molasses in Grow). So again, you have to use your brain what to give when, some plants are faster, some slower. Is a bit why I was reluctant to post the sheet. If you compare it with the BioBizz 12 week table, you will notice the changes I did.. my 8 week sheet is even more aggressive. On the sheet I notice all changes I do. That way I have a easier puzzle solving, if I run into nute issues. If you note the starting Day (Monday for example) and cross each week you are in off, you never feed them the wrong mix. Without my grow sheets I would have a complete mess when I have several strains in the tent. Rest... you can't grow more relaxed and without any effort. I did beside feeding still nothing on the plants directly.. raising the light... that is it2 points

On my friends side... no refund, no lamp.. just more emails to say sorry. Time just passes.. they ruined him a grow with their lies and moron circus, selfish little pricks. If nothing is coming this week, Police gets involved. Fun is over.. I actually start to get mad now.. how can you not be able to do what you promise for 2 weeks??? God damn liars... sorry.. supporting those dudes is just not good for the grow community.. like Cannabist.. the name is gone by now.2 points

@TomatoGrowerJHB thank you. Yes so for heating i purchased a Salton Panel Heater, mounted it to a wall. They about 420w, which is controlled by a STC-1000 controller. The controller manages my preset temperature.2 points

DWC LED Indoor Grow | Week 3 Thing have picked up speed quickly now, All seedlings nicely established and roots all fully grown through the LECA pebbles. I also decided to take 2 cuttings from the Crescendo that that was about 3-weeks ahead of the Blue Kush seedlings. Strains: Blue Kush | Dynafem x 4 Crescendo | Ethos x 3 Nutrient Concentration - EC 0.5 (will moving to 1,0 soon )2 points

After a very successful outdoor DWC grow last season, i'm going to copy my setup, take it indoors, and run them under a High Spec Samsung LED Quantum Bar setup. I wanted to steer away from using grow tents, and i'm fortunate enough to have some extra room in the garage. So decided to build my very own Grow Room. The garage is exactly 3 meters wide and the ceiling in 2,4 meters high. After weighing up many many options, I designed the following. A simple wood frame made from 22mm x 44mm pine planks and then skin the frame with Masonite Hardwood sheets https://www.boardmaster.co.za/pc-prime-coat-masonite.html End result came out fantastic and the Masonite boards are so easy to work with, the are probably a third of the weight of Rhino Board, and it comes with a white side as standard. So even bigger bonus. End result..... Simple, straight forward, and very easy to build with only a handful of tools. The floor space inside the room is exactly 3,0m x 1,3m I will just be growing on one half of the room, whilst the other half is work area and clones. The light fixture is a 320W Quantum Board 3-bar design from https://www.onlinegrowshop.co.za/ and its powered by a Meanwell HLG driver. The main reason i decided to go for a Quantum Bar instead of a Quantum board is the more uniform coverage the the Quantum Bars offer. Dimensions of the light: The bars are 1100mm long And the frame is 900mm wide Makes for a perfect fit for my grow area. As mentioned above im going to be doing DWC in individual 25L plastic buckets with and central air pump providing continuous oxygen to each bucket. I will be growing 5x Blue Kush seeds from Dynafem and also managed to score a free Cresendo cutting from a friend. Seedling are 2 weeks old and looking very happy in their "Jacuzzis"1 point

Good day my fellow gromies... So.. the below lady I germed for my Girlfriend. There were two seedlings but one turned out to be male.. These are the first to pop from seed I want to play with.. They are expected to be a mix between Cheeze and Swazi.. My girlfriends little windowsill/balcony grow will determine if I will waste any further time on the seeds in the comming season. Have quite a few of Totemic's genetics I will most definately grow out and sample can't wait.. After the male was removed she was potted up.. way late but rather late than never. It is a nuteless grow with some of FF Classic mixed in.. The next week will decide the fate of the seed batch.. Happy growing and stay safe... Covid's Real People..1 point

So, been browsing all the local grow shop sites and everyone seems to be out of stock of the 6 inch clip on fans. Anyone know where to get? 220v preferably. I have found 12v versions for cars, and if I have to I'll just get a transformer but its extra unnecessary stuff in the end..1 point

Yeah I am already looking for something cheaper for once I get to flower to add, I have 2 x 90W 3500k lights and the 100W ACDC Flood Light(might keep the 150W for veg tent)1 point
-
Yesssss!! VPD is where it's at!! You will notice that the veg diagram is way more forgiving and is way easier to stick in the lines so to speak hehe Flower is very tight narrow band1 point

Well, now that they are in a 12 12 cycle, you need to examine them every day for little white pistols. Or clearly hanging balls. The earliest changes will happen at the higher nodes1 point

@Ill_Evan I hope i can, it will be difficult could be compared to giving a rookie a Ferrari to drive, does not mean if you have the greatest car that you will make it to the end. But with the forum support i hope to get the first successful grow under the belt to move forward.1 point

Jaaaa turns out that EcoBuz really doesn't work.. Do the @Prom thing and stick with the Serenade. It is the winner.1 point

I have friends ordering their own Serenade now.. I gave them a little to test and next they want their own. Works like a charm, one spray. I even made a little test with some buds. Gave them a soft wash, let them dry and rest for 4 days. Couldn't detect any side taste at all, they were just PM free Nothing works like Serenade on PM1 point

You are going to want all that electricity on the floor lifted. I keep all my electricity connections outside my space. Evan just hanging the lead along the wall or roof will be fine.1 point

FF Premium just goes for a few week then needs to be fed nutrients, the FF micro is a feed for bacteria if I understand the info on the website. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk1 point

That dilution is fine for the plants... Will work wonders. And weed likes a good wet to dry cycle. So you can rather err on a day later to water than a day sooner.1 point

Little update, I chopped the gelato as she picked up a black fly infestation. Kinda weird since the LSD was directly beside her and her soil is clean. Not a train smash since a few trichomes on the main bud were amber already, I was just waiting for the lower buds to catch up. Not a huge yielder (probably due to my mistakes) but some really dense and sticky buds.1 point

Yo @Prom thanks for letting us all know. Praying for positive outcome to the situation. The hardest thing to earn is trust1 point

^ This information is completely incorrect. Your bright cool lights are summer and veg lights. In autumn and winter the sun rays take on warmer colours the oranges and the reds for flowering. To answer the question asked: Led floodlights are not your best bet as they tend to focus a beam of light rather than evenly diffusing it. You would be better off using CFLs for veg and get yourself a ballast and 400w HPS at least, otherwise you will just be setting yourself up for a dissapointing harvest.1 point
