Fruitpunch ladies flowering out. Terpine profiles weren't impressive and the bloody Nanners in late flower don't help either. 8. Growing out some Gorilla X's and a wildcard Swazi bag that germed on the greenhouse floor in winter. It's will to live earned it a place and the vigour is clear being double the size. 9-10. The Purple Russian Express from Kalashnikof is not disappointing. Not a massive plant given the time of year, but she is more stinky spicy purple bud than anything else. 11. Some actual ''tomato'' trees bearing fruit. Staying organic with the feedings, supplementing the Seagrow and Ecobuz with banana and apple smoothies (incl wood ash and coffee grounds). Molasses and AACT keep the micro flora happy. Softsoap and canola spray for the aphids and whitefly. Had hoped there would be fewer bugs in winter. Only highlights the importance of IPM for all growers. Good growing all. Cheers.

Just a little update on this lady, she responded well to the training and the lower branches are shooting up! She just started flowering this week and I started feeding Bio Grow Phyta. I can't wait to see what she does!

from the pictures i would quickly say that you have what seems like Potassuim def, coupled with magnesuim def, coupled with increased storage of nitrogen , but i wouldnt say its toxic yeeeeeet. my advice, as contrary to @skunkpharm as it may seem. i would mix a feed of epsom salts (NOTCALMAG - we dont want the calcuim nitrate in the callmag, just the mag) and your GHE bloom nutes at labled dose of whatever per liter. and then the next few feeds only with water - depending on the reaction and maybe mix 50ml of milk into the feed for the microbes, maybe alil mollasses and you should be fine. Identify the problem - make one adjustment - monitor be careful not to over fix an issue

Day 12th Update: The seedling is slowly making progress. Some roots can now we seen on the side of the cup. Humidity and temperate is now under a bit better control, awaiting the delivery of my humidity controller then it will become much easier.

Mmmm...if it's GHE that micro should be both for hydro/soil. Hydro ratios are usually on the left of the label on the bottle, soil on the right. Well, some nute brands do recommend feeding every watering, like the BioBizz that was suggested.

Wow this forum is excellent! Extra note: i see the nutes the oak gave me are for soil except the micro, this is for hydro and the Formula i Followed For the First Few Feeds. omF!! Thanks for the info@Bospatrollie2, that explains quite a bit and understand way better now. @CreX - since this is an experiment to find my feet i'd like to try both suggestions but for obvious reasons tight on funds. I'll try skunkpharms suggestion on the plant thats still looking ok, hopefully payday. For the plant that needs help right now, heading to the shops to buy a packet of Epson salt right away. And definitely going to add milk [emoji848]. One question, do i give this feed properly till runoff and only once? One if the things i did wrong is feed with every watering (i probably Watered with pure Water every 5th Watering [emoji58]) omW!! I'll post here on their progress. My understanding and experience, Sativa around double in flower Indica around 1/3 in size. Hybrid, between, which ever is more dominant Hence why I have a stagger on the plants and lifted some up to match.

Same size pot, but these got root bound at the end of flowering. They had been in those pots 3 week longer than the above plants, planted same time.

That has so many variables it's not easy to predict as such. How long you veg for, how much stretch in that strain and how fast and well it grows or a certain time frame is also different. Here is an example of a plastic pot, smaller than a 3 gallon fabric, and rushed to flower as a teenager. "Right, you old enough now, go produce"

Hydro nutes are salt based and suitable for inert hydro mediums like coco and leca hence you need to ph etc..(you control everything) Soil is an intricate biosphere with many automatic internal regulating ''processes'' and contains additional elements/amendments as you mentioned as well as micro organisms(they do the work, but you have to keep them happy). The soil has the capacity to buffer your feeding to the plants required ph in the rootzones. By feeding living soil with hydro nutes you are damaging the soils natural buffering capacity and possibly killing off the natural miro organisms that facilitate normal feeding in soil. Basically causing a shit storm in the rootzone that will affect your plants negatively and making it very difficult to diagnose and repair. If you want to stay with soil, do a flush to get rid of the salt based stuff and aquire a ''micro'' innoculant to put the good beneficial organisms back in the soil and some organic nutes. I only discovered that there’s something like washing your buds after I found some PM on my plants while harvesting. I searched the web to find out what can be done about it other than chucking it into the bin. I found the following video and did everything this guy suggested to do and it worked great. I also kept a bud that wasn't effected by PM and dried it along with my washed buds. I compared the washed bud vs the unwashed bud and couldn't tell a difference.

And week 7 as promised. Cam position got changed. Placed the cam up on the Fan rack now. If it gets over grown there.. I have bigger issues hehehe And sorry for the skew cam, the plant close to it had other ideas how it should be pointed

What up peepz. Just a update on the above grow. FAIL.. seeds didnt sprout. Did a little bit of investigating. Seems like the taproots barely grew from the time of potting. Was abit upset. But then again . They were bag seeds. Frustrations aside. We ready to go again. After some long convos with @CreX. Decided to invest abit more to get going and be less disapointed each time. So. Starting from scratch again. Looking to go the distance this time. Made some purchases. 1. 150w cool white LED light for veg. (Highly reccomended by Crex) 2. Extractor fan. 3. 2 galon fabric pots. Wann keep a small stealthy grow. ( easy to upgrade later) 4. Had the Seagro nutrient. Will stick with this to keep cost down for now. 5. Biobizz bloom. ( reccomended by the store guy. As excelent and works well with my grow medium) 6. Freedom farms formular 1. ( guy who sells it. Says propbably the best in SA. Works very well nd easy to grow with. 7. Got a hygro meter for humidty and temp monitoring. 8. Ordered a PH meter. Tds meter. Mini miroscope thingy. And a pocket scale of wish. Should take about a month or so. ( try and make do until then. Reccomendations are welcome untill then) 9. Built a small grow box. Floor area 500x700 mm x 1meter high. With inlet holes covered with mesh. Extractor fan. Led light for veg only. Wraped the inside in some foil. Oh and it is a cardboard box. 10. Lastly and i think from my experience most importantly. I got me some seeds online. Biltong and buds worked Out quite reasonable and had a massive selection. I took 5 seeds. 2 photo and 3 autos. I think with my setup and low grow requirements i am gona mainly grow autos. But lets see how it goes. Also. Before the Mrs started asking alot of questions about my spending recently. I bought some seeds and started to grow some herbs for her aswell. Could use the grow box to veg these aswell. N make it seem like im doing a little bit for her too. Marigolds. Daisyz. Mint. Thyme. Lettuce. Corriander. Chives. Tomatoe. Chilli Pics below.

People dont seem to grasp communication, and promise what they cant deliver. Just be upfront, say how it is, and others will respect that and you for doing so... You make a promise and dont deliver, it doesn't reflect well. So many people want work or opportunity to make a living, and others are nonchalant about their current. Flippin SAD

So to understand what you are doing with topping, you need to remember that even though the plant is alive, you aren't chopping off its head with this maneuver lol. There is no hard and fast rule as to where you must top... This comes with experience... One day you will just walk by and realize a lady needs a snip and just do it! You can top the plant right down to the first node if you really wanted to... Don't... But I'm just saying it would be fine... The trick comes more about which lower nodes have decent enough shoots, you want to make your snip as low as you can! Without cutting off the lower stems you want to promote. So even if the nodes alternate like you are experiencing, you are just looking for lower growth that looks good enough to become a main Cola... And that method you have about topping at the 5th node is wrong... Or atleast the way you interpret it is wrong. On a seed grown plant, you would want to wait for the plant to have atleast 5 nodes, before topping the plant.... Likely at the 3rd node or lower even, depending how the lower growth has grown. Lemi know if this has helped you alil and feel free to ask questions to gain a better understanding. And don't worry about killing them... As long as you leave a leaf or 3 on the cutting.... The plant will survive

Sup Guys, how's the planing going for the next indoor growoff? Anything planned for the near future? I also support a buy-in idea with participants paying a fee to enter the competition and to be able to get the seeds for the comp. I personally found the forum thanks to the growoff poster that I saw on Facebook. Maybe we could do a competition between members on the forum more like a "forum only" growoff with the more experienced growers. Then we can do an open growoff for amateurs with some advertisement before hand to draw some more people to the forum if we want to grow the forum? But I guess then we still have the issue of them not posting or keeping their dairies updated. Maybe a minimum like R100 to enter the amateur competition with prices going to the best dairies with forum members voting. Let's say the top 5 dairies get 50% off to enter the next "forum only growoff" and completed dairies have the option to join the "forum only growoff". I don't think I saw any Solo cup challenge on the forum, maybe a solo cup growoff can be fun.
