  2. I can give u guys more info if needed Take your total watt usage. X factor of 3 for safety. That value = wattage of inverter required Example. 500w total power including lights. Heaters. Fans. Etc. X 3 for safety. ( surge watts) 500x3 = 1500w Size of inverter 1500w Then for the battery. Minumium requirement "Deep cyle" Lets assume a 12v battery is used. And lets say you want to run your 500w for 4 hours. 500x4/12 = 167 ah 500w - 4 hours - 12volts - 167amp hour battery ( batteries usually come commonly between 100 - 110ah ) So best to get 2 x 100ah batteries. The more shit u wana run. The bigger the inverter required. The more longer u wana run the shit. The bigger the battery required. Hope this helps guys.

  5. okay sweet, yea then you have all the info you need. no need to beat a dead horse anymore hehe i generally wait till its dry down to the 2nd knuckle before i water. is a bit of a dig, and i would try use the same hole for the next feel so i dont poke my roots too badly. the knuckle test works better than the weight test for soil applications where even the dry medium is pretty heavy

  15. I just built an auto watering system for my grow. Not entirely auto, still have to mix nutes and connect the pipes, but once that's done I just open a tap and it will empty the container into the soil... Provided I leave the container higher than the pot its watering. Also have one of those 5L plastic bottles that you can pump up to spray out the contents with pressure. Managed to modify it so I can connect the piping - this way the bottle doesn't need to be higher than the pot because the pressure pushes the water up the pipes anyway. Made it with some 5mm pvc tubing, a few dippers and valves, and some hot glue (for the container that's not pressurised). The 5L bottle simply involves unscrewing the main pipe and replacing some parts. Anyone want me to create a thread on how to do it? Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  16. I'd also gladly add any cuts I have to this. I dont keep moms too long. I'm cycling through too many plants, and if I had to keep a cut of each, I'd be spending all day maintaining a veg forest. Just because a plant isnt a keeper for me in terms of breeding, doesn't mean it's a crappy plant. So I'll have clones randomly as time goes.
    3 points
  17. Aaaaw, surely not. I'm sure if you got a cutting you could work with it as per usual, but obviously you wouldn't be able to replicate the grow without receiving another cut, and you probably wouldn't have a mother to send cuttings to others. I mean, this is a closed group, I'd like to think we're here cause we lekker and want to play. In fact, I'll happily send you a cutting when I establish my mother plant in the next grow. I am planning on mothering a Gorilla Zkittles from Barney's Farm and I will be selecting the mother from 8 seeds. So if you're keen, let me know at the time. I think this right here is wonderful

  18. 2 weeks later, top clones taken. Given the first STS spray to a single branch, marked in the pic. Going into 12/12 from tonight. The GTH male is coming on slowly. Flowering him outside so the temps are affecting him.

  30. Very good point and I’m sure your right and I’m sure that flavor and hit are something else. I’m just looking into this all now, I’ve know and heard about dabs and just recently looking into making better use with my off cuts and sifting drew my attention which brought dabs up for interest. But I guess if your growing and you can push out some honey every now and then, it’s only a treat and a reward for your amazing grow. It’s also got me thinking I’ll try and push a few different strains if I do find the cash to start this journey and get a press, but that would be cool to have like two or three different strains to dab after harvest instead of one. Anyway I’ll keep my eye out until the right price finds me I guess. like how were those prices on imports, can you imagine the cost of shipping on goods with Carona.

  31. I just thought a veg area would be needed to get cuttings to a decent size. Members without a veg area could arrange cuts in time for a new run. Sorry about the misunderstanding @Bakstein420 , u are by no means outa the game. Having mother plants is also not a necessity, just encouraging those who would like to share. Yeh well said man, not a necessity to have a mother setup to play. @1000Hills Nursery aggreed to share out some of the cuts that i sent him, and I think is also happy to share some of his stuff with members. I'll also do my best to send out cuts when i got some available. This is awesome bro! Shot, the more guys sharing cuts the better the forum standard will become. Super stoked, happy grows my owes!

  34. Have a look at Blumat systems and Autopots. Those are pretty much the bog standard auto watering systems being used these days. I believe @PsyCLown makes use of the Blumat tropf system and I'm sure he will vouch for it. That would be the Blumat system with the carrot sensors

  39. Hi. Pardon late response. Moved house. Hopefully start outdoor, weather permit and location. But, the C19 , thrown things around so much. Might move again Looking into diy leds. But dont want to make mistake and pay too much school fees. Lots to learn and possibly make a mistake or wrong purchase. Probably better to rather spend on a branded reputable entry level light. ? Hopefully something will materialize

  40. thats pretty much it @StickyD420, root zone issues but it could be ph, or rot from over watering, or hot soil

  42. I had seen that what looked like a FIMing Plant looks happy other than the old growth being eaten as it needs that nutrients for the new growth I guess and take that as a sign that the roots are not able to do their job from an imbalanced soil pH or watering?
    2 points
  43. some questions here. looks like your new growth has been eaten? and your leaves are a bit shiny, did you spray the plant with anything? and a plant this young should not have any issues in a medium that large. the medium does look a tad wet but not sure whats up. for info sake, what is your PH? do you ph?

  44. Agreed, will wait for Friday. Will just monitor and hope this did not cause any damage.

  48. My tap water has a ppm of 79 and I use the soft water ghe. No issues at all. I also don't care much for letting my water sit or specifically airing it before I use it - I gets throw into my res, nutes mixed and that's that. Connected to the automatic watering system. There are airstones inside the res though to help move the water around a bit etc. The plants get fed with that water basically straight away. I personally wouldn't bother with organic nutes in the Formula 1 mixture. I'd also prefer plain coco over the F1 mix. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
