  3. Greetings 420 fam So as promised, here it is. For anyone that's growing and hand-watering their plants, this is for you guys. This is a simple project that I've completed in minimal time while sitting at home trying to make life easier, lol. For those who want one, but don't have the resources or time to make their own, I am willing to make the kits by order (excluding the container) and make them available for purchase in the classifieds section - which is why I've decided to exclude the pricing list. They will be cheap though, no worries. I hope you guys understand, just trying to make some extra moola during this lockdown. Anyway, enough of that. Let's get into it[emoji41] What you will need: - 5mm PVC tubing (I got 3m to be safe but it can be done with a shorter length of tubing) - An adequately durable and sharp scissor - 5 x 5mm screw/barb adapters - 1 x 5mm micro tee - 1 x 5mm micro choke - 2 x 5mm regular adapters - 1 x 10L plastic container w/tap - Hot glue gun (we gonna use a really small amount of glue) - at least 2 x small cable tie straps Now that we've got that out of the way, here's the build. Creating The Main Ring - At the base of your tree, use an end of the PVC tubing and hold it in a loop around the main stem, creating a circle of the diameter you would like. Use the scissor to cut the desired length of tubing. - Insert the micro tee into an end of the tubing and close the loop Making it into a Drip Ring - Cut out/poke 5 holes spaced out well on 1 side of the tubing that are slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw/barb. - Shorten the screw side of the screw/barb adapter so that it doesn't damage the opposite inner wall of the tubing once it's screwed in securely. - Use the screw side of the adapter and try to push it into the gap you've created while you rotate the adapter to catch thread. Screw the adapter in until the plastic base is flush with the tubing. Do this for all the holes you created. The plumbing - Cut a length of tubing a bit longer than the distance from the center of where your pot will be to the corner of your tent. - Connect one end of the tubing to the choke valve and the other end to the micro tee on the drip ring you've just created. - Cut a length of tubing long enough to reach where you're going to place your container/res. - Attach one end f this tube to the free end of the choke valve. The installation - Use one of the cable tie's to secure the tubing to the grow tent pipe slightly higher than the level of the drip ring on the soil. - Strap another cable tie just above that, securing the choke valve and holding the tubing much more securely. - Open one end of the drip ring and place it around the base of your plant than reconnect the tubing. You can face the drippers upwards or into the soil, I went with upwards so i can notice any flow issues. We're almost there! Just a few things left. The Res I know this isn't a traditional res in growing terms, but its function is definitive. - Cut one side of the regular adapters off at the base as shown below. - Place the modified adapter at the outlet of the tap as shown and hot glue it into place effectively, not leaving any gaps. This is so that your precious nutes don't drip all over the floor once you open the tap. *Be careful not to cover the barb of the adapter that's sticking out with glue or else you will have trouble with the next step* - Cut off a short length from the free end of the PVC tubing and attach a regular adapter to one end, then attach this piece to the adapter sticking out of the tap. - Mix your nutes, fill the res (please make sure the tap is closed, lol) and place it somewhere higher than the choke valve. - Attach the free end of the PVC tubing to the adapter pipe on the res (this is the pipe and point at which you will connect and disconnect when using and storing the system to prevent breaking the tap adapter). *The higher you have the res, the more force the water will flow with* Adjust your flow - Open the choke valve the so that it barely lets anything through, then open the tap on your res (open the res tap slowly to prevent anything blowing out due to the sudden change in pressure) *Check For Leaks At This Step* - Adjust the choke until the nutrient mix has a slow, steady flow out of all the nozzles. This is subjective though so set it however suits you the best. Just like that... Boom, your very own semi-automatic watering system. The only issue with this prototype design is that the res doesn't completely empty due to its shape (a major part of the reason I'm leaving it out of the kit), but there are ways to solve this. I plan to make a commercial version available once I find a decent shaped res with a siphon pipe to ease flow and empty the res. I'm also in the process of designing another (pressurized) system so the res can be kept on the floor along with some other improvements. Send me a private message for any questions or orders.

  5. Norseman’s Review on the VapCap M 2020 Starter Kit from DynaVap I received this VapCap M Starter Kit free of charge directly from DynaVap for the purpose of this review. Regardless of this, it will not color my opinion on this review in any way, shape or form. I would also like to thank DynaVap for sending this over. Another thing I would like to say is that I have used it with medical cannabis only since anything else is forbidden where I live. Packaging This comes in a lime green plastic ziplock bag with a window on it where you can see all the different stuff that comes with the Starter Kit. It has the DynaVap logo printed on it. The M itself resides in a recyclable cardboard box with DynaVap and made in the USA printed on the front. On the inside it says ”This Is Your Key To The Future” and ”Welcome To Battery Freedom”. The VapCap M 2020 It is a 5-piece Vaporizer for dry herb made out of medical grade stainless steel with some nice machining done to it. It is 92 mm in length and 10 mm in diameter. It is basically in the size of a cigarette but has nothing to do with tobacco. If you ask me the overall look of it is really nice. The 5 pieces is the Tip where you load the dry herb, the Screen that goes into the Tip, the Condenser that goes into the Stem, the Stem and finally the Cap that sits on top of the Tip. The Screen can be positioned in two places in the Tip, at the top of the Tip and in that position it can hold around 0.05 gram of dry herb and in the lower position it can hold around 0.1 gram of dry herb. When used in the 0.05 setting it is called ”Micro Dosing” and it is really the perfect position for people like me that uses Dry Herb to get rid of unwanted pain and not the high. To load the M you just grind some Bud up or you just take a few pieces directly from the Bud and put it into the Tip. Too fine ground up material might go through the Screen and into the Condenser so make sure to avoid getting the material to fine. Using a Grinder is a good way of getting the material into the proper size. The piece that sticks out on the cap can be used as a scoop to get the used dry herb out of the tip and you can also use it to pack the herb. To ensure some clouds while using it I would recommend that you pack the material into the Tipl somewhat, that way you will get the best result. It comes with a three flame torch in this Starter Kit and when you are outside I would say that it is perfect, but indoors I would rather recommend a single flame torch to get the best result. Using a single flame torch will give you a real nice result but it takes a little more time to heat the material up. When you are heating it up I would recommend you to try to keep the flame/flames in an angled position towards the Cap while rotating the VapCap M. Heat the top of the Cap for flavor and the base of the Cap for more potency Be careful with the flames and keep them maybe one inch away from the Cap in order to avoid charing the Dry Herb. Stop heating it up when you hear one or two ”Clicks”. At that point you go ahead and vape on it and when you hear the next one or two ”Clicks” you can repeat the heating procedure. The ”Click” I am talking about is the metal in the Cap that reacts to heat and it makes the click at a certain temperature and it is working like a charm. The air holes or should I perhaps say ”Chisal AirPorts” are located in the middle of the Stem and only on one side of it and they are used to adjust the air flow by blocking one or both of them with a finger while vaping. The airflow on the VapCap M is what I would say a totally unrestricted Direct Lung draw when the airports aren’t blocked and with both airports blocked it is a restricted Mouth To Lung draw. You cover one or both airports depending on your preferences, but beware, it can make a little noise when you do. The Kit does also come with something called the DynaStash, it is a wooden container where you can store the VapCap M and also some Dry Herb. It does also work as a stand for the VapCap M thanks to a magnet in the wood. The magnet is strong enough to hold the VapCap M standing without issues and it does also help cooling it down. Cleaning this device is a piece of cake thanks to the fact that you can take it apart completely. When cleaning it I have learnt that you should use some of the DynaWax on the O-rings to make them last longer. Since the Tip only holds 0.1 gram of Dry Herb it might be on the low side for someone that uses Dry Herb on a regular basis but since it is so easy to scoop out the used Dry Herb and load it again I would say that even the regular users will appreciate the VapCap M for its simplicity and the flavor it provides. For those that have an interest in using the VapCap M together with full melt concentrates there is an accessory called DynaCoil that you can use with those as well as with thick oils and liquids. Assessment It is the first Vaporizer for Dry Herb that I have used and I am surprised over how good it actually is. The simplicity when it comes to loading the Dry Herb and operate it is just wonderful and the fact that it works without the use of batteries is refreshing. The flavor from the Dry Herb does come out really good and the fact that I don’t have to use the Dry Herb with tobacco anymore is just perfect. The machining is really good and I haven’t found anything to complain about. I must say that I have enjoyed using the VapCap M since I got it and I will continue to use it since it provides me with what I need. Simplicity to use, simplicity to load and clean and it gives me that relief that I need due to the pain I got and of course the good flavor from the herb. Another thing with the VapCap M that I haven’t gone over yet is the fact that people with arthritis can easily operate it without any issues or at least less issues since it is so light, I mean it weighs only 18.5 grams and not to mention so easy to load.. Can I recommend it to others? If you like me got chronic pain that opiate based painkillers can’t fix or if you just want to Vape Dry Herb recreationally I would say ” Go For It”. It is real easy to use and even if you go on a camping trip this one will work perfectly as long as you got enough Butane in your torch (no need to rely on batteries or electricity). Another pro is the price point ($140 at DynaVap for the kit), this one starts off way cheaper than the battery driven ones and when they don’t work any longer this one will still work as good as it did the first time you used it. Pros Machining No batteries needed Good flavor Looks good Easy to load Easy to adjust the airflow Easy to clean Possibility to do Micro Dosing Price point Cons Might be a bit noisy fully open and when you start to cover the airports Parameters Diameter: 10 mm Length: 92 mm Weight: 18.5 gram Material: Medical Grade Stainless Steel Package includes 1 x VapCap M 2020 1 x Dynastash 1 x Cyclone Triple Torch Lighter 5 x Cotton pipe cleaners 1 x Dynawax 3 x High temp O-rings 2 x Condenser O-rings 1 x Replacement SS CCD (Screen) User and Care Manual You will find it here DynaVap VapCap M Starter Kit I will not put any prices on the VapCap M Starter Kit in this review since the price on it might vary depending on where in the world you reside and where you buy it. 6. Do you measure your fertilizer, when you give it to the plants? Or do you just guess how much to give? I think growing went into the next league with measuring your light and applying what the plants need and not what you think they have to get. We measure water, fertilizer, time to grow.. but not the amount of light we give the babies... why? Is it worth it to spend on a quantum flux meter? That is your own decision.. I grow for that long, I know I can grow.. but how much I get out per sq or watt.. that is my challenge. I wanna hit 1kg per sq on every harvest I do. Would love to see how close I get to 3g/watt, if I go as perfect as I can go. I learned a lot.. really.. more than in the last 10 years, just by using a stop watch to clock my lap times. Without, you just guess your lap times.. I post one pic and that explains all.. Same strain, same time glassed.. different light intensity. 250mmol are recommended by Apogee.. what a result with just different light setups. No, you do not need a quantum flux meter to grow a plant.. if you wanna reach the limits.. yes, you need one. The plant with more light.. didn't perform better.. wuuuppppssssss.....!!!!!!!!!

  7. I'm chiming in quite late here but can't say how happy I am to finally see initiatives like these starting up on the forum. I'd be more than happy to partake. I need some new genetics and I think this is the way I wanna go now. Trying out 420SA's finest. So those who are willing to sponsor me a cut I would be glad. I'll cover shipping of course

  17. I've had mates tell me it hits and tastes close like a dab, minus the heat. I've only dabbed a couple times so I never made the connection. I barely ever smoke combustibles now and I gotta say my lungs feel great. What I could get in a joint will get me high 10 times more in Da Buddha cause you don't really need to pack it too much to get the same result. 90% of the vapor is sweet marijuana, in comparison to a joint where only 10% is the good stuff, the rest is just smoke. One of the best investments apart from actually growing my own that I've made.

  19. No problem, Yes, that was a local store with the buddy pack, probably trying to make room for the new model. For me personally, I loved that you didnt need to charge it, you didnt need a cable or plug. Though, you are not very discreet in public, and then again, if you are going to smoke out in public, its normally a blunt, and then that's not discreet either. Oh, and no plastic taste either

  20. Flippen nice idea this. Clone transport seems iffy but wtf. Indoor growers will have a bit of an advantage wrt to cloning and vegging abilities all year round. But summer is around the corner, then the outdoor growers can play ball too.

  21. Yo @420SA , thanks for the platform making it all possible I want to offer to send you some of my cuts, if there is nothing from other members you would rather grow. I might only be able to send em off rooted by next month this time, but I can offer you some choices. I have the WeddingCake I sent to @1000Hills Nursery, but during this winter grow I managed to stress her out enough that she made nanners, so wouldn't really call her a Elite Cut, even though she dank as hell and hits like Mike Tyson. I got 2 different Black Dogs from Humboldt Seed Organisation, pro's is a quick flowering time, nice terps and stoney, downside, a bit sensitive to the bottled nutrients in high doses, also a bit weak against PM. Exodus Cheese, she's nice Blue Cheese from Dinafem, liking her more and more each time i flower one of her cuts. I have some others but the above I can have rooted by end of next month at the latest. The CBD is nice but very stretchy, not really indoor stash, but nice to pop a clone outside in summer. Guys please feel free to drop your offers here for @420SA, im just getting the ball rolling. 23. Yes, nothing written in stone... but i treated the girls same way, yes, same batch seeds from same breeder. Blue cheese from nirvana seeds. I start to correct my mistakes and each seems to improve the plants happyness. I was way to close with my lamps in all stages... so over all, i enjoy this, as a bigger foot print also lets you light up more plants.. less wattage consumed. I for my part will stick to the 250 mmol on germination, they grow rather fast. Could be genetics, that i got three different results in plant hight. Interesting part... Epogee data suggested the outcome before. So i could say, yes, genetics.. or simply accept that i got the same result as they did. To much on your youngsers is actually no benefit, but slows them down. And to little provides the worst result...

  24. @Ill_Evan Quite trippy when you put it like that Thanks for the welcome and the praise on the review, as always much appreciated. Never tried that device so i got no clue on how it is. I don't think you will be disappointed with the DynaVap if you get one. It got a small learning curve on the heating but once you got that covered you will enjoy it. Thanks again NNorseman

  40. Came across this last night, was lucky enough to actually taste some about a year or so back. The stuff i had looked nothing like the pic but it put me right on my ass, was a nice relaxed smoke. Seems the guys from Alien Genetics cross most of their stuff with Tahoe Alien. Fruity Pebbles (AKA Fruity Pebbles OG) by Alien Genetics was a limited-time offering from the breeder. This sweet hybrid takes genetics from Green Ribbon, Granddaddy Purple, and Tahoe Alien to create a tropical, berry flavor reminiscent of the cereal. The euphoric effects will keep you happy when you’re stressed and help you catch some sleep when faced with insomnia. Sit back, relax, and pour yourself a bowl of Fruity Pebbles!

  43. very nice @Prom, i have no doubt that you followed the process correctly, but using 3 seeds from the same cultivar can still produce results like yours. im not disputing your results, but for your method to be proven correct, you will need to rerun this test a few times, and the plant with 250um need to outperform the other 2 plants every time, especially if you consider the sun being way more powerful and without a dimmer solution putting out 1500ppfd and the plants love it. but i agree with your stance on an apogee - to be precise you need to be precise, because you cannot attain perfection without being precise

  46. @Prom interesting, your boards must differ slightly to mine then - for full power I need more than 50v and the 48B would not go over to 50V when on max. A quantum sensor would be awesome, although truth be told I am not sure how much of a difference having one would make to a grow. I dim my lights based on the watts and eye ball the height based on what I feel is comfortable and so far results are decent. Have you done tests to see how much your yield is affected by running the lights too close or too far away - so lower or higher ppfd? I find it hard to justify the cost of a decent sensor for just growing, especially when you could borrow one to take measurements and have a decent idea - as you said the diodes would deteriorate over time and preferably you'd adjust for it - but once again goes back to how much of a difference does it make? Is it really worth the R10k or so for a nice Apogee?
