  2. Quick update , been feeding the coco plants with EHG nuts ( 2,5ml of each on 10l water ) and the soil bagseeds I am just watering. Since I planted the putins in the cell pots and then into the big pots and with the feeding they are going strong. Converted a bunch of old 140mm fans , a PSU and a bunch of L brackets into a airflow monster. Got a bit more space now since there is no more fan taking space.

  3. Think I've trimmed to the structure that I want the plants to grow in. Rate I am going to let them recover from the trimming and then start the flip.

  4. Weekly update. I watered today after a week and the girls are looking much healthier. Not sure if you guys see anything potentially wrong here, that I can attend to / correct?

  5. What up Growmigos. Update time. Week 2 - day 8 Little girl goes out every morning into direct sunlight from 7:30am to 4:30pm. Thereafter i move her into the grow box to supplement light for 24 hours on. The veg light is about 350mm from top of plant. Temperatures are about 24 - 26 degrees inside. She stands at around 50mm tall. Have been watering every second/third day. With about 60-100ml of plain tap water. Left to stand overnight. Gona be using the biobizz range. Grow. Bloom.topmax. Should i start nutes this week. Or wait abit longer?

  6. Nice one bro! How long she take to get to that stage? Here's a few shots of my indoor mainlined for 8 main colas... There are a few more shots in the Blue Dream grow report that I completed a while back.

  8. Thanks bru As for my growing style, I'll have to call it " bare minimum" Potplant, Outdoor in the Sun is what I've done so far... Will post some pics of my results soon.

  10. @afternoon blazer Thanks, decided to leave it in this size pot. Have started with some LST so working really well. Great learning curve on this grow.

  11. Thank you brother, Took about a month longer than the others, so about 3 months I guess, give or take. They had meant to be my GSC mothers, and take clones from them, which I did before flowering them, after the previous spider pull, and then things changed and I lost my work and life gave a slap in the face, and lost interest in them and sent them to flower outside and started new things.

  12. Yes sir, up to you for every day or second day, first thing yes as lights on, and fine mist, not a drenching, underside the leaves, starts photosynthesis faster and the evaporation process going to kick start the plants internal engine.

  13. The Nebula Haze Mainline is more of a flux method, but results are on par with mainlining. Here's the journal; https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/harvested-nirvana-blue-dream-indoor-grow-nebulas-manifold.1548198/ Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  14. Dont be scared of Perlite, it just holds air and a place for Microbes to home and hide when you water. It will be perfect for your over watering tendencies, haha. Kelp as a foliage spray is brilliant and gets the plants system working if you spray under the leaves every morning, with a very fine spray of very weak Kelpak mix. You going for it now, and going to impress even yourself

  18. Week 12. Everything seems to have settled in the grow now and the plants have started to flower. I've still been taking the plants outside every day to get some sunshine. The bottom leaves still seem to be drying out and I'm in the process of elimination stage. My water pH is 6.5 and the landlady is gonna send a sample to be checked to see if it's heavy or lacking minerals. I won't be adding nutrition as I live in the bush and only get into town once a month if I'm lucky, so no buying stuff. And then I'm gonna leave the plants in the cabinet for a week to see if there's an improvement, I'm thinking outside conditions here is a bit harsh. Usually 10 degrees hotter or colder than Vape Town with either cold winds or on the other end hot and dry winds. I was considering adding some more light but that is also on hold till the next grow and until I've saved up for another power supply, learnt a lot about power supplies yesterday and don't want to overload the one I have at the moment. Okay, baby awake and nappy change time, till next week, over and out.

  20. @1000Hills Nursery after giving me a good understanding of what’s these this little babies like, I think they will be smiling from here on out , some early purpol! these seeds were actually given to me with and order I received from cannabist. Unfortunate. Could have been a good service. Anyway 5 regular beans. They all popped beautifully and 2 made it through the cold. But now they have a home atleast. Fingers crossed for females

  21. Hey everybody... I'm glad to finally find a community with similar interests as mine. I'm a long time toker but newbie grower. I've managed to grow a couple of plants with my limited knowledge. Hoping to learn alot from you guys about my new found passion... Peace

  22. Welcome. Buy a decent soil. There is really good commercially availible soils these days. Organics Matter, Just Cannabis and freedom farms to name the most popular. If your in cape town there is some mixes we can hook you up with. If you buy a good soil Fertilizer is not.that important. A good microbial inoculant or your own compost teas should.be more.than enough. No fertilizer needed. Your lights should do perfectly for a first grow. Just switche them put to HPS bulbs when you switch to flower. Pot size. If its only growing one plant get a 30l pot. Most commercially availible soils comes in a 30l pot. You can also veg a bit longer if you going to train your plant you will.also get a larger harvest off your.plant in a bigger pot. Happy growing.

  23. Thanks bro... And yeah he can, even if he can find a small 24V power adapter like used in for input on DC electronics, that outputs at least 1.5A, you could connect the strips to that. The strips are 15w/m on 24V so that's just under ~0.63A... A 1.5A or 2A, 24V adapter should be able to power the strips up nicely. I'm using this hack to run a pair of 12V HID car headlights off a 12V, 2A power brick... Omg with 2PC fans - in my microgrow. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  24. Good advice for the guy as always brother, and as you have said, you never want to run anything flat out. I think he is meaning a power supply for the strips, which he can get @growopz and or an extra QB75, same place. But he can easily add the strips sooner with just a power supply for cheap. 27. Thanks brother, was before lockdown and retrenched in Nov, just hasnt been easy with all that making it worse than before. Starting to get back into a routine with the girls again, but some days are more shit than others. Cant wait for life to go back to some sort of standard where I can plan for tomorrow again. Your plants are impressive brother, flip man, just outstanding those heads.

  28. 3 months is the norm I guess... Mainlines make really good clones. Damn, sorry brother, hopefully things turn around. Everyone I know took a hit with this lockdown... Thinking of putting some trees outside myself. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  29. Stay on the 7 day watering for now, even with the perlite, You will get to water every day or second day, when the plants leaves start to get closer to the edges of the pot, not before then, and then it will normally be an indicator of the plant wanting more soil and space, or bigger pot. That's if you in veg, never change pots in flowering.

  31. This was how spider plant came out, Takes time to train them though into this. Added, I take a long time to grow them, so dont go on time, we all grow different and that wouldn't be a tell at all. I topped the plant again after pulling it back above, and ended with more than 50 main cola or ends when done.

  33. Spread their legs and gave them AACT twice by now, did another Bioneem treatment. The little red things down below is just a couple of sweet potatos rooting and a tip of a trichocereus bridgesii cutting sticking out there. Also: I had a few extra clones, given all away except for this one Banana Hammock. It's free to anyone who wants it, must be able to link up in Hermanus area to collect.

  34. @afternoon blazer I topped her 3 times which set me back between 2-3 weeks. I even broke 1 main during LST but it grew back. @TheUltimateNoob throw us a link so we can check it out. Have you ever tried fluxing?

  36. There's one that MIGRO on YouTube downloaded, tested and compared to his Apogee Quantum sensor... He also gives some correction factors in the end for different types of led if I remember correctly, as well as for colour temp and he gives a conversion factor to get approx PAR. 37. Its usually just over a week between toppings. Depends on how fast the strain grows and handles stress. Topping 3 times with regular mainlining should set you back about 2 weeks... Nebula Haze's method will set you back a week. Not sure if I've mentioned my journal on Grasscity to you with the mainline... I ran the Nebula method, plan to do it again this run with my latest Inzane tree... Still in week 1 of veg. The journal is from seed to smoke, lemme know if you want the link, you can get an idea from there. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  39. Shout out to all the electronic peeps out there. I have a mean well NES-100-24 power supply with a @growopz QB75 half 3000k half 4000k running off it for flowering. I have 2x1m led strips that are 15w/m, 24v, 4000k that I was thinking of adding to the power supply in order to give me more area coverage. The million dollar question is: am I gonna blow all my shit up? If I can (not blow my shit up but add the lights) that means I can add another 300mm depth to my cabinet. That means 2000 bucks saved and a better light. Give me good news please bud's.

  42. So the soil test is almost over. They will be harvested over the next week. I think my minds made up over how to proceed with the autos. 100 days. Seedbanks tell you they are ready in 60days from seed. They are ready when they tell you they are ready.

  43. Harlequins Moved outdoor from 24 hour vegging... Cooling off in the shade, get them accustomed to their new home. Staking and cleaning up off bottoms together with light defoliation Day 8 since cloning these gals and they have already started to root.

  44. Been abit busy for updates Things going really well. Doing some defoliating almost on a daily basis. EC-1,6 pH-6,4 These were the 2 cuttings I took a while back and rooted in Rockwool. Both taken from the same mother plant. Incredible to see the growth difference. DWC crushing it’s competition here.

  45. Precisely, and would be his best option and work very well, but just need to be on it and not slip up as to speak and forget to put it in or out. My first outside grow, I flowered it just the same way and was a very good outcome.

  46. What up 420 Fam. Just a small update to keep the Diary going. So the Banana Monkey i germinated got potted on Sunday Morning(12-07-20). With the seed cracked open. Into the root plug and final pot. Sadly still nothing has broken through the soil. So just gona let it chill out for a while. During the week. I was feeling abit irratated. So i germed another auto. SWEET TOOTH. Tuesday (14-07-20) Seed felt better for some reason. Anyway. Same story shot glass. This time i did 24 hours. Then paper towel and plastic bag for 18 hours. Temps about 28/29 degrees. Awsome 15mm taproot shown this morning and she got potted. Put on a humidity dome. And popped her into the grow box. Lets hope its smooth sailing for now.

  47. @afternoon blazer What's good my dude! I have made quite some changes to my method of popping seeds, only because what I had before was stuff laying around the house! I will look at a few points, first answer your questions and tell you what I did with these seeds, then give my suggestions and recommendations based on what I did to avoid the same mistakes! I am learning as I go still, also very new to all this so wouldn't go around telling people to do what I do for great success!! I popped these seeds on a heat mat between 30 and 35°C. Under a 85W 4000K (cool white) CFL bulb hung literally 5cm above the dome. Around 85%RH inside the dome but as soon as they open their cotyledons remove the dome or you'll be risking a lot!! Get them used to heat and direct light and all that as soon as possible. As soon as you remove the dome you have to take the light up atleast 20cm away from the seedling or the heat will cause stress or even worse, burn the plant, while there's really not even enough light coming from those CFLs to make the plant grow. My suggestion would be to never waste your time and money on CFLs. When popping seeds you wana go for the same kelvin as for veg (between 4000k and 6500k, a nice cool white). You really don't need much Wattage because you're not vegging under this light and if it's only for propagation seeds as low as 10W will do. Also don't need much in terms of Lumens as this only becomes important when you're in full veg and the plant is taking up nutes and all that. Also a handy tip for people like me who are still learning, keep away from any biological matter when popping seeds. A seed will pop with nothing but moisture and in a high RH environment with a lot of biological matter you'll encourage all kinds of life to sprout and you risk a lot by doing this! This is where Jiffy pellets (any kinda sterile medium) and distilled water comes in!! Also, going over 35°C will cook your seeds and anything under 25°C will slow things down drastically, so grab a heat mat and thermometer, will help a lot with these cold winter nights!! Happy Growing!!

  48. Just an update on these ladies. Topped a few tops, the long ones aswell as the one short cheese clone in front. Treated them with Bioneem so they look all shiney. Cooking up some tea for them that will be ready tomorrow night!

  49. Looks like it will do for now. The hooks have not budged a bit and when I tug on them they feel firm. Will only upgrade when I switch lights, got some brackets with hooks already. Girls are looking perky so I am feeling good about this, they only gona be in here till the tent is empty then gona use it for clones in future. As I mentioned I had a "clone dome conversion situation" and this is what came of it. At the time I had probably 10 to 12 clones, with a couple that got root bound and some that where not worth it. I only got space for 4 plants indoors, planted few in random potting soil in pots outside. These are the 4 that got material pots and prepped to go into the "flower tent" after I harvest what's in there now. These are: 3 x Banana Hammock 1 x Cheese (front left) -small one in the corner is a Super Lemon Haze cut. I've topped all the tops, except for the one plant in front right, but I think I took this photo before or during.
