Some better pics of the mainline structures. just for @afternoon blazer these girls are beefy and the structure should be able to hold any sized colas they can develop, unless I get some freaks of nature that is.. we can only hope. I think I will be flipping tomorrow and throwing in the daddy 400W HPS bulbs. Also good to note, everything up until now has been under 250W MH bulbs (minus the soil plants of course, strictly speaking the mainlined plants). So you could comfortably grow 2 plants and mainline both of them under a single 250W for veg. This was secretly a little test I wanted to conduct to see if one could do it and I think the 250W bulbs get a bad rep, but if it's all you got for veg, I'd have to say don't stress4 points

For sure, as I said above and my understanding. If you cut the plant that night, in the dark, it will be the same as 24 or 48 hours darkness first, its just believed that the dark will help prevent Terps from burning off, but as long you dont go over 25 deg you normally okay. I never cleaned my mainline before, but will do so like Evan does, as that is the way, or best way, for me. Have a lekker day4 points

Sorry to hear that bro, really. Things will get better... Remember, the only way out from the bottom, is up, so better times are ahead! And thank you, I try my best4 points

Watsup man. I've gotten 4 of them in a veg/propogation/mother tent. So far just user them for propagating but will soon be vegging ing the pots. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk4 points

Why don't you obtain a copy of The Rev's book. True Living Organics. He makes cannabis specific recepies in there. And.also goes over why you are putting in there for the plant. There is no short cuts to knowledge. Read.3 points

Yo, I'm growing with this in my tent right now, the nugs are some of the most dense I have ever grown. I'm concerned about longevity because of the extreme heat though and don't know whether I can run this in summer, but for that price and my needs it works out well.12000 lumens is no joke, I can't even look at this light for more than a second before it burns it's image into my retina for the next 5 mins lol Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk3 points

@Naughty.Psychonaut Will keep you updated brother man! Hopefully get one today. Yes my since retired MH 600w was burning the pocket. @afternoon blazer And I think electricity in WC has gone up drastically, used to get 189 units for R300, now my R300 gives me 111 ... Its actually ridiculous.2 points

@Ill_Evan the current one, less buds, but bigger more compact. You grow well brother, without a doubt.2 points

Hi there, I actually flipped them on Saturday seeing as it's only an experimental grow. They have had a pretty hard life with my daughter trying to destroy everything she can see. Not only her but also the new puppy, that one pulled out a 4 day old black D.O.G I tried growing. I really really hope the Malawi (tallest plant) is female. I am currently trying to source everything for this year's outdoor grow but one thing is for certain, I won't grow as many plants as last year, I will rather grow 4 at a time, although I will then be growing throughout the year. The LED light works very nice I must say. Im have no knowledge of lights etc but it did the job and I think I might also buy one of those qb75 lights for next years darker months. The plants have been grown in only soil, no nutrients have been given at all.2 points

Welcome to the forum @ChroniclyChronic , happy growing! Looks like those seedlings are settling well, nice new growth there2 points

Haha, pre harvest turned into a mainline thread. I dunno how much of a difference a dark cycle before harvest makes really. Mainlining is something I've wanted to try for a while, might give it a go with my next grow. Although since I'll likely be working with clones it'll not be a true mainline. Mainline looks good, how much do you guys clean up your mainline plants when going into flower and during flower? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

That's my soil mix. By no means a rigid recipe either. Many items can be replaced by other similiar items. The reason all the ingredients are in there is to grow cannabis.2 points

No problem bro.The lack of humidity may slow down veg a slight bit (not really noticeable since coast generally is above 40%)... I'd say keep humidity levels below 65% in flower or whenever there's a lot of vegetation in your grow space and have good airflow to minimise risk of powdery mildew, that's about it... People aim for low humidity (below 40% sometimes) at the end of flower to get more trichomes... But I grow some frosty buds with levels sometimes close to 70% (I have no way of controlling it)... I do check my trees almost every day for any mold though. Edit: my guess at a decent humidity range would be 60% in veg and 50% in flower. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk2 points

Welcome.. Here I will share my current flowering plants. They are local genetics except one: 1 x Choc Kush ( Totemic) 1 x Double stuffed sherbert (garden route genetics) 1 x KB7 (garden route genetics) 1 x Sherb breathe ( garden route genetics) 1 x Jacob's Ladder ( round table genetics) They have been in veg for a while and finally have space for the to flower. Jacob's Ladder below first time doing a scrog, will see how this play out. Setup is in the garage with a hill billy dang thang going on, size is 1.4 x 1.2 and running 3 x 400W HPS lights. Took clones from all the plants, and did not have space for the other 3 that was planned to move in together. They back in the veg appt doing their thing.1 point

Just started a new 80x80 tent with a 240W quantum board from PhoenixSky: Planted 2 fem Amnesia Haze from Nirvana straight into FF Premium prepped with Seagro and mycorrhizae, sprouted in 3 days: Cheap drip system bought at Builders, which I removed the plastic pressure regulator. I drive this with a 5L pressure sprayer, plug and play(the pipe fits into the spray handle where the chrome pipe goes in and locks with a nut), it has a trigger lock, so you can lock, pump it and leave it. Works very well Happy growing!1 point

I'm curious to hear what you guys moisture levels is, I'm growing in FF custom soil. What I have read is that moisture levels for our favourite plant should be between 120-150 in veg and 150-180 millibar in flower with the Digital moisture meter. Here is my where I need help, drippers start at about 130 millibar and then it only stops at 50 millibar, is this a problem espesially in flower? Any advise is welcome Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk1 point

Ever since I started using additional silica in my DWC feeds I've been experiencing much thicker and more rigid stems in general. I also tried to defoliate as much of what would not be used sooner rather than later, specifically with this grow I definitely took a more aggressive approach. In terms of how I top, I'll usually wait for the initial 5 nodes from seed then top in-between nodes 3 and 4, cutting as close to the 4th node as possible. This leaves a little bit of stem on top of the 3rd node which in my experience gives them much more space and support to get nice and beefy. It should also help much, much later on to prevent the stem from splitting at that point during your last few days of flowering. This is the specific silica that I use:1 point

Brother, my bill for this month is almost R1300 over the normal one, Im not sure what's going on in WC, but I queried it. Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk1 point

Thanks bro. So using the same stratergy as u. As much direct sun as possible. Then supplement with the light. But i have been keeping the plant about 350mm away from the light ( im only doing 1 plant at the moment. So i dont need a big footprint. If i had more plants. I would have to keep the light higher for coverage.1 point

Not like my last one I hope the way I'm cleaning them in my current grow I believe will result in much better bud production, albeit less buds. Tnx1 point

With destilled water, 2 silver coins, 2 crocodile clamps, 2 wires, a 9v battery and a ppm pen, you can produce you own coloidal silver solution. Aim for 30ppm1 point

I use coco and also use the blumat tropf carrots. I adjust it by eye and then monitor it to ensure its watering sufficiently. I don't bother measuring the soil and don't have anything to measure the soil either. I did try the carrots out with some Organics Matter soil when I first got them and did the same without issues, the plants seemed to love the dripper and regular feeding. I've had no issues with my plants while using the tropf carrots. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

Sup man.. okay, so 1) I agree with @SkunkPharm , living soil would be the way to go if you're getting back into things. Just feed organics to boost the microbes whenever you need to and it should serve you well. You can mix up your own, it would be a bit cheaper but its more work. 2) General Hydroponics Flora Tripack (as Salt-based) nutes or BioBizz (as Organics) are normally what beginners start with if you really want to buy some stuff - Although you won't need it if you go with living soil. Also salt-based isn't used in living soil (it hurts the microbe life) Disregard what you saw on that youtube video, putting a tree into flower doesn't depend on the colour of the leaves or anything. The only thing that will make a difference is how old the tree is - photoperiod trees generally won't flower even if exposed to 12/12 when they're younger than 4 weeks old. With Autoflowers you would have to keep an eye on your plants to know when to change the nutrient ratios - something that's easier planned with photoperiods. 3) Depends on your space... I grow in a 70cm x 70cm space and have a single tree in a 20L pot - fills out the tent well. If you aren't limited with space, then like SkunkPharm said, a 30L should be fine for a single indoor photoperiod tree to train - The harvest will be worth it, just watch humidity levels in flower.1 point

Awe and Welcome brother. Those are some nice flowers for a first time grower! We'll help you grow that fire pretty soon. Hope you enjoy the stay with us1 point

Welcome. Buy a decent soil. There is really good commercially availible soils these days. Organics Matter, Just Cannabis and freedom farms to name the most popular. If your in cape town there is some mixes we can hook you up with. If you buy a good soil Fertilizer is not.that important. A good microbial inoculant or your own compost teas should.be more.than enough. No fertilizer needed. Your lights should do perfectly for a first grow. Just switche them put to HPS bulbs when you switch to flower. Pot size. If its only growing one plant get a 30l pot. Most commercially availible soils comes in a 30l pot. You can also veg a bit longer if you going to train your plant you will.also get a larger harvest off your.plant in a bigger pot. Happy growing.1 point

STS really is the best method. You only need to spray a plant once every 5 days and only about 4 times. Store bought colloidal silver solutions are too weak. You need a colloidal solution of about 30-40ppm. But you'll have to spray every day, with no guaranteed results. Youd need to make it yourself using DC electrolysis with both the anode and cathode needing to be made from .999 fine silver. Just use STS.1 point

Eventually. I've got 2 x 1m 15w/24v led strips that are 4000k that I'm thinking of using. Thinking a PSU is cheaper at the moment. Just not sure if I should add it to the veg or flower cabinet. Still saving up for the next QB75 though. Thanks to@growopz for getting me hooked. And the advice from all you Bud's. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk1 point

Thank you brother, Took about a month longer than the others, so about 3 months I guess, give or take. They had meant to be my GSC mothers, and take clones from them, which I did before flowering them, after the previous spider pull, and then things changed and I lost my work and life gave a slap in the face, and lost interest in them and sent them to flower outside and started new things.1 point

Nice one bro! How long she take to get to that stage? Here's a few shots of my indoor mainlined for 8 main colas... There are a few more shots in the Blue Dream grow report that I completed a while back.1 point

The Nebula Haze Mainline is more of a flux method, but results are on par with mainlining. Here's the journal; https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/harvested-nirvana-blue-dream-indoor-grow-nebulas-manifold.1548198/ Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk1 point

I'm also getting the hang of doing it, will be my second time now in grow, and third on its way soon, just battling with seedlings stretching from this Chinese COB. First picture is my test subject who got spiderman'd in a sense, and topped and pulled everything back, then topped again. Then my in flower now, top and leave bottom lower branches, and this works, but next time it's only the main ones on top, then top again as above.1 point

@PsyCLown One thing I forgot to mention is the L-brackets I put in every corner where the wood frame meets. It's quite sturdy, before I put the panels on I was able to sit on top of the frame and I weigh around 70kg. So there's wood glue, long ass screws at wood on wood sites plus brackets with screws to keep the whole frame stable. I think the wood poles would snap in half before the corners come loose, but even for that to happen it would have to be carrying some real heavy weight for real long time or experience one hell of an impact. I believe this thing is much stronger than a normal tent, I also only have the one flood light which weighs like 2kg hanging from the wood. My concern rather lies with the hooks that screw into the wood where the light hangs from. I'm sure if anything was gona give in it would probably be those hooks. I just grabbed the ones I thought would work, but they're real small so I might replace them.1 point
