So this Friday I gave the girls a Microbe/Molasses/ground Barley airated tee. Today they received a Stinging Netle FPJ. Must say they look gorgious and my scrog net is getting to full but I can only flip to flower the weekend. Question - is it possible to top the bigger branches to buy time and space, or should I keep the main branches Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk5 points

Flip Day The outside plant isn't doing too badly either, should probably put her in a bigger pot though. She's already about a week or so into flowering.4 points

Another quick update: Coming along nicely, the smaller girl had some minor tip burn from being straight in the fan's line of fire, I moved the fan and light up a bit and she seems fine now. The little OG survivor I found outside is exploding with new growth as well:(Hope it's a female ) I also slapped together 2 Arduinos I had lying around with temperature and humidity sensors and can now monitor both my tents on the Bynk app It holds on to the data as well, so you can monitor changes over time. It's just quick and dirty for now, I will make them neater and solder and print waterproof cases for them later, I also want them battery powered maybe.3 points

Brother, no need to thank me, When your plants look like that, or let's rather say, if mine looked like that, I'd be sleeping so easy at night. Yes sir, those main lower, not the weak ones as you mentioned, you want those branches going as wide from now, all the way through the 3 week flip, the LST training of them under the net, all way till proper flower in that 3rd week of 12/12. Then you want to stop and you'll be as even as you'll ever be without removing them.2 points

[emoji120] Thank you[emoji120] What I have noticed in the past is that the main branches that tug underneath the net always outgrow the lower thinner ones that just go strait through the net, even with a even canopy when I switch. Il just tug the big ones a little lower this time and we can see how even it is after the stretch. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk2 points

Yes boooiii, 3 x that 150w in a 1mx1m space will toast your ladies. I am running a 50w in a 80cm x 80cm space and plants are happy! Again this is 50w, got 4 plants under the thing. 2 of them and you'll be flying, bro. No doubt.2 points

Watsup man. Great idea. Except I think 450w of that light in a 1x1m tent is alot of light. For vegging I think you'd only need 1 to be honest. I have 3 50w that I use in my 1.2x0.6m tent. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk2 points

..and so we come to our first little hurdle! I made a mental note this morning to triple check whether taping up the power indicators on both the Sonoff switch and heater would prevent any internal light leaks within the tent. Turns out the tape did sweet nothing. Popped an eyeball into the tent and not only could see the light indicators shining right through the plastic, but the heater itself glows surprisingly bright from the heating element. Temperature during the day should be fine now though, so I'll just run the lights as planned during the night and lights off during the day, and just remove the entire heating setup. Should also save me a couple bucks on electricity. Luckily it's only the first dark cycle so zero harm done. I will definitely need to sort a solution for when I replace the HID lighting with LED, especially for Winter next year. Thinking a heating panel with a Sonoff switch should do the trick. Got plenty of time to sort that out. Other than that, I've cleaned out my carbon filter and need to replace the pellets. The old pellets were doing nothing for the smell after a year's worth of cleaning my air2 points

So I thought I’d give budbuddies a try and bought a 3 pack of Green House Seeds super lemon haze. Ordered yesterday afternoon and received now. They also sent me a poster, a sticker, catalogs and rolling papers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

I've taken it upon myself to do a bit of a review on the LED grow light I've been using. Morning fellow ganja soldiers... I see many guys are looking for opinions on LED lights as like myself. It seems it will be the natural progression, so its quite important to have a vast understanding of all the products out there, locally and internationally. There are many ways of measuring how effective your potential LED grow light will be and this will all get taken into account before you go and spend your hard earned money on something that I would definitely say is not affordable. I have been using the Liontree Supernova 320 for 10 days now, and it completely blows my 600w MH out the water for veg, however, I'm still yet to experience the full power of this LED as I've been running it on 25%, but now for the exciting part... the bloom stage has just commenced so the ultimate test for these light is here. I will update this thread with the results as we go along. These LED's are affordable, utilize Bridgelux 5050 diodes, Magnifying lenses covering with far red, 100% waterproof! guy said I can hose it down if I like lol thanks, but no thanks... and driver? well the guy says you can choose which one you prefer very smart . This unique design also allows for expanded footprint which is always good. Liontree, based in KZN... are positioned quite well in the market in my opinion, and are a great example of a proudly SA business. Maybe this might be helpful to some. there website www.liontree.co.za Updates to follow!!!1 point

Hey brother, I just see problems, those plants are not happy, they dont like that light and you should sell it to me Haha, only playing. They look amazing, and if I am correct to say you are just right as you are, dont cut anything other than lower branches that dont get light much, they steal from the big buds production and right now, you need to LST the branchs under, in and out that netting. Keep the canopy as even as possible without snapping branches, Your grow is spot on man Added, I also pre flower pistols, age is perfect for flip the weekend1 point

This will be the plant I will test my soil on. It's an Inzane in the membrane cross with a mistery strain. Don't know how it got pollinated... Maybe my neighbour doesn't know how to identify males. Let's she how she'll take it.1 point

No problem.Haha, it's pretty simple. Organic soil just means that it has nutrient amendments produced from natural sources - however does not mean that it contains microbial life. With organic soil you could add organic nutrients (made from natural sources), or nutrients that are salt-based (provided in their chemical salt form). Salt-based nutrients feed your tree directly. Living soil on the other hand has a ton of beneficial microbes that produce nutrients from the stuff in the soil and you would use organic nutrients or additives to feed the microbes in the soil to boost nutrient production for your tree in the medium. You shouldn't use salt-based nutes in living soil because it will eventually stop the symbiotic relationship between your tree and the microbes, eventually leading to the microbe life dying off completely by starvation. *Living soil is usually Organic, but not all Organic soil is living!* Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk1 point

Some better pics of the mainline structures. just for @afternoon blazer these girls are beefy and the structure should be able to hold any sized colas they can develop, unless I get some freaks of nature that is.. we can only hope. I think I will be flipping tomorrow and throwing in the daddy 400W HPS bulbs. Also good to note, everything up until now has been under 250W MH bulbs (minus the soil plants of course, strictly speaking the mainlined plants). So you could comfortably grow 2 plants and mainline both of them under a single 250W for veg. This was secretly a little test I wanted to conduct to see if one could do it and I think the 250W bulbs get a bad rep, but if it's all you got for veg, I'd have to say don't stress1 point

That's my soil mix. By no means a rigid recipe either. Many items can be replaced by other similiar items. The reason all the ingredients are in there is to grow cannabis.1 point

Small update, not too much to show. Still focusing on building the manifolds of the DWC plants. The two on the left are struggling to catch up to the bigger ones which are begging for the 400W bulbs but I don't want to increase power until they are somewhat more similar in size. At some point I'll have to just make the flip. Soil ladies doing real nice. I did take one Skywalker OG and started flowering her outside and take her inside for the evenings so she doesn't get too cold. I felt like having 5 plants under a single 250W QB was one plant too many.. plus I didn't feel like repotting her also just curious to see what happens.1 point

The rule of every few days is marginally flawed. It works to a point and as a very rough guide. A more accurate approach would be to do the pickup test... You are running coco so it's real easy... The coco pots will literally be light as fuck... Almost no weight at all... That's when you know you need to water them. When the plants are small like that... One cup of water is enough for a very long time, what size pots are those? And take the twisty tie off not sure why it's there... Be careful not to damage the fragile stem when taking it off. If it's LST, the plant has to have a few nodes before it will be effective... What you are doing is just making the stem skew because you have tied the plant at the bottom. Lst's purpose is to bring the top of the plant lower... Exposing lower growth shoots to more direct light.1 point

Fokus on the new growth, that will tell you what's happening. I agree with@CreX just let them grow for a week or 3 and then start with topping or/and scrogging PS - good watering tip you got from Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk1 point
-
Depends what training you going for. I think they are a bit small still for Lst. I would rather keep it simpler this run and maybe just top some of them to create a nice even canopy. Lst is a pain in my opinion... Much better results can be obtained using a scrog net of sorts... But for now, just let them grow so you can see how they turn out and so you can learn a few things for the next run1 point
-
its typical transplant shock that they are going through. i wouldnt train them at all yet - rather wait for vigorous growth to resume they look alive and thats what counts. Dying plants look like they are dying, and yours dont look like they are dying1 point
-
Let them settle in. They take about 3 to 4 days to settle into new soil.1 point

Lol, thank you for making it a soft blow.. I guess the stress was a bit too much. It was a female seed, and a freebie at that. Its a pity it took so long to show sex, I could've vegged the Inzane out a bit more Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk1 point
