Great idea for this thread! I think I might have over-engineered my frame [emoji51] Made with 45 mm extrusion which has one flat side for sticking the Samsung F-Series double row 2 footers. Going for 240W to replace my California Lightworks 250 in a 80x80 Weighs 6KG [emoji15] I will replace the the corner fasteners with a lighter option to save some weight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

Morning Fam. Just wanted to start a little something to see what you guys are up to with any custom LED lighting units. Be it parts you ordered and pieced together, or parts salvaged from other fixtures and flood lights. So yeah, feel free to showcase whatever you've completed, are working on, or built and is in use. Also add in any supplementary lighting that you may have used even if it isn't LED. Don't feel shy to post your rough DIY work, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, lol! Anyway, it would be nice to see how everyone's making things work with what they have, maybe someone here can improve your setup with nothing extra, just some new ideas! Hope this takes off, Enjoy! Edit: Was supposed to post this under the LED sub-forum. Apologies.4 points

Aweh, Hope the fellow outdoor growers are getting their soil preps sorted. Mine's been cooking for a while and amendments went in, compost is being sifted and many batches of AACT innoculations have been administered. Managed to do some research into SST(seed sprout tea) and decided to give it a go as the science is solid from numerous sources. Settled on mungbean for veg and corn for flower, ladies got their first taste of the new tea today. Reaction from the ladies is positive so far, will keep an eye. Both the Pineapple express and Fruitpunch ladies are bearing seed after manual pollination. Especially excited for the Purple PE pheno. Cheers4 points

The babies are healthy. Getting an in-line fan really made all the difference. Today is the beginning of Week 7 and 8 of veg [emoji2956] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

Love this thread! This is something small for veg. Draw watt should be about 225w so I would think I’m getting around 100w true. But could be completely off so will keep updating as to how it grafts Simple and easy to put together...3 points

I agree, awesome thread topic! @ChroniclyChronic That's one sexy frame you put together! I'm putting a 1mx1m flower room together. Got 15m of Alu T-strip. 3cmx3cm. Gona build a 80cm x 80cm frame and put 10 beams across. Here is what I ordered, Strips on backorder with 8 weeks waiting! FML Here's what I'm going for, Will have potentiometer for dimming aswell.3 points

Hi @Louis, I used the biobizz range myself and I would interpretate it as follows: 1st week: 4ml root Juice 2nd week: 2ml Fish mix 3rd week: 3ml Fish mix 4th week: 3ml grow / 2ml bloom 5th week: 3ml grow / 3ml bloom 6th week: 4 ml grow / 3ml bloom / 2ml topmax 7th week: 4 ml grow / 4ml bloom / 3ml topmax 8th week: 4ml grow / 4ml bloom / 4ml topmax 9th week: see week 8 10th week flush. That's how I would interpretate it and how it makes sense. Correct @afternoon blazer and @Prom?3 points

@afternoon blazer hi, its water extracted hash, my friend. You need a big bucket with big chunks of ice, for mixing and then a smaller bucket with the screens to filter it. 1st 3 grades 4th2 points

Her colours are awesome, she went dark real quick with the cold snaps this winter. Got about 50/50 clear and milky on the trichs- about a week or two to go. Terps are pungent, sweet and fruity- will see whats, what after she's harvested and cured. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk2 points

Hey man. I've got one of the modugrow lights and am currently running a grow with them. building a custom size box to house the light, and will have a full diary by the end of it. My advice would be to go with 2 units in a 1x1m for some nice flower power. lol2 points

Because I’m primarily a coco grower, and organic growers are like vegans, they constantly need to go on about it.2 points

These pair are my current grow and seed project. On the left we have a male sour blueberry x grape stomper. A little mix up of HSO and Gage Green's offerings. On the right is a blue cheese, she is just begining to pre-flower and has been outside for the last 5/6 weeks. Malted barley and dry fert top dressing. Water straight put the tap inbetween the rains. My neighbours and i combined all our cured trim together (580 g) and made a decent batch this week. have a lekker weekend, mense2 points

Welcome along to my back yard bucket grow. Please pull up a deck chair and park off here, a while. This lovely girl is a blueberry from Dutch Passion. She smells like a mix of blackberry jam and shortbread and should be ready in a couple of weeks time. This ugly ducling turned into a beauty. The seedlings were all deformed and took a long while to get going, the growth is spindly and she has to be supported as the branches will hang down like an octopus. I must veg her for 6 weeks and no stress is imperitive, otherwise she can herm easily. She's a pain to grow, but the high is worth the effort. Just opening the jar makes me grin. She has burned in the wind and hosted her fair share of mites, but is still putting on some decent weight. She's my kind of girl.1 point

@afternoon blazer Shiiib, only a pleasure my dude! Here's something you might like, https://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/ Someone on the forum was kind enough to provide me with that link, it's really all you'll need when going DIY LED. On the frame, cause of the 1mx1m space I'm planning a 80cm x 80xm frame so the light can comfortably fit inside and not fuck with my tent. Beams of the same alu T-strip across. Will have the best coverage possible, cause will have strip on the frame all over. There will be about 4cm gaps between each beam so no need for passive cooling, heat will be virtually non existant. That's about it!1 point

The cost of things? Alu - (local) R250 Strips - (Digikey) R2180 Driver - (Digikey) R1680 - Digikey has free delivery with anything over 2k, will see how much import tax is when we get there. Potentiometer + resistor - (Stepdads garage) Free, although if you gona buy it, it would be fairly cheap.1 point

Thanks Bud. I have 8 that I'm pushing through with, wasn't expecting all the seed's I planted and chucked outside to germinate and then half ended up female. Happy with the outcome though considering the very first light was a lead light with a 22w led globe. Gonna stick to 4 next time. Outdoors is upon us again though. Preparing the ground for a herb garden with companion plants and I'll chuck 4 in amongst them and hope for a 100% female then pray for 50% hit rate. Then some in the shade house where I had a good outcome the last grow. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk1 point

Update: 31st July 2020: So today is the start of week 5. So the girl growing well. Taking well to the LST I have been doing for the last week. Really moving along great, and is making great progress since the over water issue experienced. Any advice at this stage of the growth? Not sure if i need to start clearing the small leafs below at the bottom of the plant or getting rid of the leaves that was effected by the over watering.1 point

Im not sure what the prob could be bro. Suposed to be str8 forward and simple. Coz theres not much connections anyway. Sorry bro. Wish i could help further1 point

Increasing the size of the herd will get you results. Biodyne, explogrow, other microbe innoculants will do this. Feed that microherd mollasses and other sugars and carbohydrates(teas) to keep them pumping in overdrive. The plant is not necessarily going to uptake more than it needs though.1 point

Week 13. 4th week of 12/12. Everything seems to have settled down now. I've stopped taking my plants out for their daily vitamin D under the sun rays. I think that was my leaf problems. Warm in the sun but there was still an icy chill in the breeze. One week under the light and they are looking much better bar a few small leaves at the base of the plants which I'm putting down to the light not reaching them. Busy germinating Durban Poison and Elvis at the moment using the paper towel method but it seems to be taking a long time compared to when I just popped them into seedling trays with soil so I've popped more into soil at the back of the cabinet. See how things go. Until next week then unless something exciting happens. Have a spliffing weekend all.1 point

9 weeks tomorrow. I realised that I mixed up my clones. Harvested a branch of what I thought was OKC.and realized when trimmimg it that it was infact OG kush. But every thing looks amazing. New plants in the tent today are.the Ghost Train Haze from Rare dankness and Blunicorn from In House Genetics. The large one is the sluricane. Last pic is the Rasberry Diesel. It is probably the most surprising of all the plants. I did not expect it tosmell this way.1 point

So this Friday I gave the girls a Microbe/Molasses/ground Barley airated tee. Today they received a Stinging Netle FPJ. Must say they look gorgious and my scrog net is getting to full but I can only flip to flower the weekend. Question - is it possible to top the bigger branches to buy time and space, or should I keep the main branches Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk1 point

Pre harvest plucking Apologies my fellow growers cos I didn't finish the write up on my grow. I harvested back in April, around the full moon, so I think it was 3 months of flowering, in total. She grew for 6/7 weeks under my 7 Watters in the cupboard. She sat in a 5 litre icecream tub and was carefully placed into a bigger drum containing old potting mixture. My mixture details are in my profile, but its a basic mix of coco and compost, along with a few additives and a top dressing to see her across the line.1 point

Took a quick pic this morning. Girls are doing well, most are in flower- various stages. But I'm not without issues. Still battling the Fusaria fungal problem, it's only affecting certain plants, only 3 so far. Might have been a bad batch of soil from the nursery, I dont know. The cinnamon and honey mix seems to check it for about a week and then it carries on, starving branches of nutes untill it wilts completely. The clove and nicotine sprays keep the worms and spidermites in check but those mites are hardy buggers and keep coming back. Need more companion plants to keep them busy. Funny enough my outdoor ladies are experiencing far less issues than in the greenhouse/tunnel. First Fruitpunch babies have germed for the start of the winter grow. Stay safe and grow well.
