  1. So with enough time to spare I'm squeezing in a regular seed run. Clones are doing their thing in veg. Still waiting on a clone or 2 to reach size for a transplant and another 3 or 4 weeks veg. Females in the tent: Slurricane, Blunicorn, Ghost train haze #1, Green Crack, Chocolope NL x Gelato #33, Orange Kush Cake, Male: It was a toss up between a chocolope NL or GTH male originally, but the gelato cross males are really interesting me right now. 3. What up 420 Fam. Update time. Week 4 Day 22 Grow is going good so far. Have not had any issues. Really happy about that. Sweet tooth doesnt seem to get very bushy. But nice and thick stem. No training done. She is in pre flower at the moment. For the past week. I have been feeding some nutez at 75 percent strength. She seems to like it. Last watering was Saturday. Approximatly 500ml. Biobizz grow and seagrow. 1ml per 1.5L of declorinated water. I have been watering in circles around the diameter of the pot. 1st nute feeding was a circle midway between center of pot and then next was along the out of pot. Then nidway point again. Just tryna get the roots to fill out the pot nicely. This week i will be feeding gro. Seagrow and some bloom. Staying at 75 percent strength. Depending how she responds. Next week will be full strength Nutez. So due to her now being in preflower. Can i have some suggestions please in terms of lighting. The veg light now becomes obsolete? Weather seems to be warming up at night. Should i just leave her outside from now on to do her thing? Or should i give her as much direct sun and then bring her inside at night and keep her in a dark veg box with air circulation? Or should i still use the veg light for a few suplementary light hours?

  8. Yeah, I expect their will be a few nice cuts coming from this. All these are going to produce polyhybrid F1s (Chocolope NL x Gelato #33 x ...), except for the F2 gelatos, and they all gonna be freely available to the forum. The 33 is not a massive yielder, but dense frosty spicy sweet indica nuggets...

  11. Quick update , Been a bit busy. Ladies are looking lovely in my opinion .Can see the different quality in genetics from the thicker leaves on the putins punch and more leafy leaves ( if that makes sense ) on the outdoor seeds. Got 4 smaller ones under the blurple light in the small grow area. This floodlight is really really good and the plants seems to be loving it.

  12. ..yes Edit: Although I'll probably have to rework it a bit to fit the current Bill, but I'll wait until it's official before I put the work in

  13. Thanks guys. For the replies. Yeah so at the moment i dont have any red spectrum. Just my veg light and the sun. I will check out the link from @Fridgedoor. See if theres anything i could use in there. Maybe for this week i will bring her inside at night. And from about week 5 let her completely finish outside. Temps last night around 9pm were about 18 degrees. But could be a 1 of. Will monitor this week and decide.

  18. And then I want to run the chocolope x sluricane and all the new fem crosses from @Totemic and all the old ones. Its going to be a tough season. That is why an 8 plant limit will suck ass.

  21. I only bought the frosted apricot seeds. The other 2 i got fron a friend as cuts from his mother. I only hav the slurricane in flower atm. Snd that plant really surprised me with siza and strech. After 3 or 4 weeks into flower it is covered in trichomes. Very pretty. But I dont know if I would pay the prce for the seeds. There is a couple os places selling clones at R200.a cut. Also a couple of.people on IG that will make you [sell] cuttings if you ask. So it's not always necessary to fork out the big bucks. But I am also in 2 minds about paying the big bucks as I have some OG's that rivals thosr strains on trichome production. But I am yet to make up my mind as they are still flowering.

  22. After last years bumper grows I am aiming to do 3 outdoor harvests this year seeing that we wil be limited to 8 plants in flower. My first batch of seeds went into the soil last week. Doing an Northen lights, OG Kush, white widow, ak and bubblegum autoflower run. Will stil plant another 3 to make up the 8 plant limit. Still making up my mind for photos for next year so far i have the following on the list. Sluricane, blunicorn and frosted apricots from in house genetics. Early lemon berry and orange kush cake from ethos. Spumoni from the plug seeds. Dream queen from humboldt seed co. Ghost train Haze from Rare dankness. Will do 2 runs of those. Good luck to every one else's prep. If any one in CT would like clones. Shout. Don't have much atm but will have some coming up for summer.

  23. Hey Growers, I am almost ready to start my first official grow diary, but needing a little guidance on soil and nutrients as well as the best places to get hold of the stuff. I am in Durban, to give you an idea of temp/humidity and location. I have just ordered some Feminized seeds from Biltong and Buds. The plan is, to have 4 plants growing in about 20 - 30l pots outdoor. Mediums I am planning on using FF Organic Classic Soil (Is this still a decent mix, or should I rather be looking for something different? Any Suggestions here?) Nutrients I have seen a lot of people talking BioBuzz products. What would you suggest for an outdoor grow and is it really necessary? Pesticides To be honest, haven't done much research on pesticides. What would you suggest and is it really necessary preparing for worst case scenarios or is it better to wait and see what nature throws at me? My goal here is to grow some dank buds without needing to dig too deep into the wallet. However, I am willing to purchase the necessary ingredients to make the end result, top quality Hopefully above average to be honest

  28. I got permission from my better half to sink a 600l tub into the ground as a goldfish pond. The bonus, i have a brand new 600l raised soil bed to get to work on. The soil is a sandy and somewhat clayish mix, i will do quite a bit to get it ready for planting in October or perhaps November. First step i did was to add some CaMg in the form of Dolomite lime, as well as some DE. Adding calcium to clay soils can help release trapped mg in the clay. It also improves the soil structure, i will add a few amendments of Ca before the bed is finished. I don't use bonemeal anymore for various reasons. Ontop of that I added some semi decomposed leaf compost, and covered the leaf compost with homemade compost before tilling it all in.

  30. Aweh Bluntknife, We growing organic outdoors on the north coast- unfortunately heat and humidity doesn't always work for us in the garden. Pest wise depending on your grow space, humidity and ventilation- most common nasties to expect from own experience would be aphids, spidermite, whitefly, thrips and worms(butterflies) Fungus wise - budrot and fusaria. Companion plants helped quite a bit in deterring some nasties and attracting beneficial insects - basil, catnip and marigolds. Sacrificial plants also assist passively- I've got pumpkin and gemsquash covered in mildew and aphids, but nothing on my cannabis. (Give the bugs something better to chow than your cannabis) There are a number of products available for most pests, all with their pro's and con's, but to buy all of it would cost a penny. Just be carefull of systemic pesticides and organo phosfates. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  32. ...oh and before I forget, the size of your pots determin the size of your plants. I grow my photoperiod plants in 40 liter pots.

  33. I would use the fishmix in veg as it is quite high in N. Bloom and grow can be used in combination during flowering. I think on the biobizz website you'll find the feeding charts which will give you an idea how much of what to feed. Topmax also helps to fatten up the buds. Some here use root Juice for the early stages. This way you might also get a good idea of how much you need for the season. I think 5 liters would be a bit much. Maybe start with 1-2 liters and get new stuff when needed. I think when it comes to taste or overall quality your soil is the most important factor but yes the fertilizer plays a role as well. I also agree with @CoolJ that meeting precautions against pest is the way to go. If you've got super healthy plants they are able to fight of all kinds of pests and unwanted fungi. I am not too clued up on cover crops though. Maybe also take a look at compost teas used as foliar spray. I just wouldn't buy all kinds of bottled insecticides. And yes, you'll most likely run into all sorts of pests, bad weather, etc along the grow. That's one of the challenges of growing outdoors but makes it also an interesting journey.

  34. Hey @BluntKnife Sounds like it's going to be an epic grow. With regards to pests why not look into some cover crops which keep pests at bay or bring in other beneficial insects? In my experience I found it better to prepare and take precautions before the pests arrive. Good luck man looking forward to your grow.

  35. Hi @BluntKnife, looking forward to follow along! I do grow my plants outdoors too and used FF soil so far. I always achieved good results. So I think you can't really go wrong with Freedom Farms. The Biobizz range is also great especially if it's your first grow. It's very difficult to overdo it and burn your plants with biobizz. If you're on a tight budget get fishmix, grow and bloom. Regarding insecticides/fungicides I always get my stuff once I know what I am dealing with.

  37. She grew quite a lot since last time I saw her bro. Beautiful lady! I am not sure about the light as my last indoor grow was ages ago. But if you got a veg light it puts out more the blue color spectrum which might not do to your plant what you'd like it would do. Like @Dank already said it would be better if you could introduce some red light spectrum for flowering. Found an interesting read about that topic. https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-cannabis-cultivation-the-light-spectrum-and-ways-to-raise-thc-levels-n269 In doubt, I would rather just let the sun do a good job. In case your nights are not below 15 degrees you could leave her outside. Otherwise I would take her in over night.
    2 points
  38. You could experiment with sun in the day, veg light at night, is it possible to introduce some red spectrum? From my experience Autos will finish well outside, but you would prob yield more with increased light hours for auto.

  42. I have to agree. 7k for seeds is crazy. No matter how good they are. In house do produce some good stuff, but just how much better really? I'm also running a slurricane clone I got, and it's very stretchy compared to my other plants, but its early to judge at only 3 weeks in.

  45. Aweh, Sounds you’ve got a plan Stan! I’m on same path. 4 autos now. Then another 4 later. And then Im still trying to decide what to grow for my outdoor grow im up for a clone or 2 if you have spare when the time comes. Ive always grown from seed. Be nice if someone does all that hard work and gives me a perfect specimen to grow!

  47. Flower day 47 Daily check ups, Seems the Blueberry is finishing up with some rather small buds, but they're plenty. Wondering about what could have gone wrong, but she just didn't respond at all to the last two feedings I gave, so I started flushing her. Not gona risk is and rather have a smaller harvest. This is the same plant I had ph problems with in the beginning of its life, that's all I can think of that might have caused this somehow. Got another seed sitting in the fridge, so excited to see what happens with that one! Blueberry Super Lemon Haze Cheeze Banana Hammock

  48. I use coco and also use the blumat tropf carrots. I adjust it by eye and then monitor it to ensure its watering sufficiently. I don't bother measuring the soil and don't have anything to measure the soil either. I did try the carrots out with some Organics Matter soil when I first got them and did the same without issues, the plants seemed to love the dripper and regular feeding. I've had no issues with my plants while using the tropf carrots. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
