  5. Ok dried and trimmed the 3 plants gave 150g of bud. The smoke is an amazing sativa high. It's really nice for an autoflower. I would definately recommend Fastbuds cheese.

  8. I was also busy in the compost this weekend at my dad's place... It's quite a workout turning the pile. My dad's been composting some stuff for a good few years now and the stuff we found at the bottom was really beautiful sweet smelling black gold, loaded with earthworms. The garden is going to loooove it

  9. I think flushing the soil might strip the soil of good ammendments and additives that were pre added. But if u dont flush the soil . U probably would have build up from all your nutez. Which would probably be imbalanced to start again. Im not saying that u cant do it. But . Do u really wana risk getting 60-70% complete with your grow. And then realise that your soil is stuffed up and u heading down hill. That would probably be around 2 months of work down the drain. Im pretty sure that there are ways to reammend the soil to be used again. But from my opinion. Better to play it safe then hope for the best. Control what u can. While u can.

  10. Hello, just checking if it's the FF Premium Classic (green bag) or the craft soil, Premium is fine I plant rooted clones in it they looooove it but the Craft soil might be to much for a young seedling. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  11. Jeeeebus. How does one pick his favourate rainbow? I haven't found seeds of this plant, was lucky to grow out a clone and it came out just as I wanted. Will fill up my space with it next time I find it. Elvis. Cross between Skunk #1 and AK47 and absolutely amazing. It's a sativa dominant hybrid that you can smoke all day and it fucking knocks your socks off, but doesn't make you wana sit down for hours. Frosty buds like you would not believe and the skunky skunk lineage makes for that super loud smell and pungeant taste. Another plant making the realms, being kept alive by someone supplying clones of it to the whole cape, is the famous Big Buddha Cheese. Always big pleasure getting my hands on some of that and will grow it out every chance I get. Those are two from my growing experience, from my history of smoking there's a few names that come up. Mostly the crowd favourites because, well... why else would they be crowd favourites? GorillaGlue#4 GSC is right up there Gelato And many many others

  14. The biobizz time tables start when you drop the bean in the glass. You are week three, you give what week 3 tells you. Please note that the table is not good to apply for autos finishing in 8 weeks... or photo outdoor grows.

  16. I think it is a waist of money. That is just my point of view. If you start with good soil just add compost tea's and seed sprout tea's. Your plants should do great. Rather research those products and make your own mixes. Im not aying their products are not worth it if you have the cash. Comsumerism.

  21. Interestingly enough i recently watched a podcast on this subject, small LED's / indicator lights. And apparently it will in fact disrupt the dark cycle most of the time (showing your friend with a flash in the dark does the same thing). Some people say Green LEDs / indicators are fine. I would not risk it.

  23. Now that she's standing, be carefull of water logging and damping off. I'm sure the foam cup has holes in it for drainage? Let the medium dry a bit more and only give a shot glass of water every few days. Don't saturate the medium. Make the roots go look for the water. Once true leaves come out back under the 240w. You gona mix anything into the FF soil? Or else I would suggest biobizz as mr. Dank has before mentioned.

  25. Hi Guys I want to level up my game for my second year growing, for which i have the following questions. Im using freedom farms classic mix and growing in the 40 litre Velcro bags. Last year i fed only black-strap molasses heavily during veg and added Bio-bloom during flowering phase. Results were great. This year id like to prep my soil by adding a good amendment to my craft soil to boost it, I have the Biobozz Pre-mix in mind. Is this a good amendment? Should i be adding a high Nitrogen amendment? Nutes i want to add Biobizz Fish-mix and Biobizz Top-max to my Bio-Bloom. Can anyone who uses any of these products, tell me in what ball park their feeding schedule / quantities are? I know the dosages on the products are conservative, but i dont want to take the chance of hurting my plants. Can anyone give me a guideline for outdoor growing? I would appreciate any assistance from my fellow growmies! peace&love peace&love

  31. I think they are trolling nonya bizness like non of your god damn business! I grew this plant in my first setup (285w CFL budget setup). It had a HSO Blue Dream as a partner. The Insane stretches A LOT when flipped. Very very frosty and the smell was very delightful. Limey, piney smell. I have some pictures of the nugs on my phone. This was my first proper "genetic" grow. I only topped her once, no training etc. I took a few joints to a NYE Party in the Robertson berge and a new acquaintance asked for a few puffs (he claimed to be a daily smoker and we chatted about my grow etc) - and he came back asking me if i laced the joint with anything else.

  39. Greetings all. well not much to complain about, no major problems either. This is Choc Kush and looking the best in the tent. Going to be some nice colas from tbis lady as all the branches are loaded with bud sites. Then we have Sherb breath, this plant smells like mixed candy bowl/ packet skittles. She was a lil stretchy but not to much at all, also building lovely bud sites. Then there is this lady,Jacob's Ladder wow she is eager with the resin production and pushing some citrus smells. took clones and all have roots, running out of veg space fast but there is always a way. Already setup for a lekker outdoor season with soil cooking and clones ready to go outside. Some leka forest leaves and wood to boost the microbes, enjoying AACT when turning.

  40. I added 40 liters of old donkey manure and about 5 liters of bran. Crushed most of the manure and tilled it all in again. The manure will help to add more carbon to the soil, some Nitrogen as well as loosening the mix. As it breaks down it will benefit both the bacteria and fungi in the soil. There are many benefits adding some good quality manure to soils, however this is best done a month or two beforehand.

  41. Its comments and things like that, which make me use a persons service or places products, and recommend them to others, cause I know they'll get the same. That's not to say I'd take the free offer, it's the gesture that means everything.

  42. Thanks Bud. I have 8 that I'm pushing through with, wasn't expecting all the seed's I planted and chucked outside to germinate and then half ended up female. Happy with the outcome though considering the very first light was a lead light with a 22w led globe. Gonna stick to 4 next time. Outdoors is upon us again though. Preparing the ground for a herb garden with companion plants and I'll chuck 4 in amongst them and hope for a 100% female then pray for 50% hit rate. Then some in the shade house where I had a good outcome the last grow. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  44. Have been giving this some thought, how about the prizes go to "best diaries", which the judges can deliberate over scrutinize plants etc, but in saying 420sa is looking for the best diary, gives the incentive for growers to be op it. BTW well done on the previous competitions guys, thought it was pretty cool regardless, and paving the way for SA CannaCulture

  45. Being active on other websites. Have a minimum post count of 50 in order to participate, they also had a requirement, where the entrants needed to have completed 1 full grow journal on said websites. They also had different grow battles i.e. Sponsor hold their own grow offs i.e. Mephisto had their own / Female seeds had their own and so forth. But this community is a whole lot smaller, so I would just have a minimum of 50 posts and like others have said a nominal buy-in fee - to show commitment / cover costs of courier etc. You could hold 2 separate grows autoflower grow off and photoperiod grow off. Sidenote: Either way I am buggered didnt get to buy fem seeds in time, so trying some bagseed out, so hope I get a female somewhere along the line I can flower out. Good Luck to All

  47. Thanks for the input guys. After reading your inputs here are my thoughts on the best way forward: Instead of aiming too high with the competition I think we should start it small and build participation by means of qualification. The competition will be geared more for members of 420SA The competition will be more exclusive with specific qualification criteria to be met if you want to participate. Qualification criteria to be discussed. The goal is for the growoff to be an exhibition of the country's finest growing talent pitted against each other. Having a pool of accomplished growers also benefits the breeders who sponsor their genetics. I.e. they get a much truer indication of the performance of their genetics. A win for all parties involved. With a narrowed down participation pool, it may not be viable to offer prizes in the beginning but we can see how that pans out. Qualification criteria: I don't think post count alone is good enough to qualify. The member needs to be a proven grower with grows to show. They need a minimum post count of 50 They need to have a minimum of 5 completed grows under the belt. They can either direct us to grows on the forum or provide images of 5 of their grows. Finally there will need to be some sort of approval committee setup to make the final approval. This committee can be elected by forum members Perhaps an entry fee may need to be charged but we will discuss that a bit later. On the other hand, and I'm not sure on the legalities, but what if all growers paid in an amount at the beginning and the sum of these fees gets split amongst the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners? Is that considered gambling? probably...

  48. I feel the issue with people receiving seeds and not participating happened more with the newer members. So perhaps have a minimum post count required in order to participate and/or they have to have been a member for x amount of weeks / months. Regarding sponsors and prizes, may be best that they send it to you and then it gets distributed from there - that way the prize is confirmed and secured.... Although this does create a slight issue with shipping as someone would need to cover shipping from you to the winner. Rules were pretty straight forward I felt, easy to understand. People are easily able to ask questions and refer back to the rules if need be... Maybe try and do a single consolidated thread with all rules and start dates etc. I recall something being split the last time and there were like 2 or 3 threads depending on what info you wanted - I think it was the prizes and rules were separate.
