What up Growmies I thought i would do an early update. Weekend might be abit hectic. Week 2 PS1 - day 13 REST - day 8 This week was/is seagrow and biobizz grow. Repotted the 1 more purple sunset in a 8 liter fabric bag i had. And the 3 bag seeds went into some 3.2 liter plastic pots. Might do 1 more transplant later on if they seem like they worth it. Dont have space for the 1 more guy or a pot. So probably gona donate it to someone. Im rocking the chart from grow with this 1. Not sure what im gona do for space in a few weeks. But they so nice and fresh to look at. Also gona be moving my growbox outside under my patio. For the smells (especially the nutez watering smells) Its getting decently warm too. Excusing this past week. Will try and enclose the box with some plastic. Prevent any rain mist and keep some warmth inside. Keep u guys posted. Probably need to start some LST very soon. ✌6 points

What part of the world you at? If you Cape Town side I have some space for you. That way you can grow and visit your skelm on the side. I have 38 Durban Poison, 3 Strawberry Cheesecake and 1 Jack Berry I'll be moving into the shade house shortly. So I have space indoors and out. The reservation is about 30 minutes from Cape Town. Hi All, Some updates on my grow, this is the supposed Northern Lights, it's started changing colors last week on the leaves, is this normal? Been feeding 3 part nutrients as well as earthworm compost form my compost bin mixed with water.3 points

420sa put it on hold due to delayed results one of the months. It went over into entries for another month, as well as the Cannabist sponsor issue, which led to some unforseen issues. If I'm not mistaken, I think it stopped for just 1 month, and should be continuing this month... Just waiting on @420SA to get back to everyone with what's up. I'm sure they'd appreciate the sponsor bro! Mad Respect. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk2 points

Honestly bro. Thats steep cash to spend especially since u still starting out. What happens in 3 months for whatever reason u gota stop. The investment is too high for the reward right now. Dave has a awsome solution if u in that area. But if u not. Maybe u gota look for someone like Dave in ur Area.2 points

What's up brother man... Okay, here are my responses; 1) Digital timers bro... Set it and forget it. Whenever the power trips, it will be for 2 hours at a time. The backup battery in the timer will last 24hrs in order to keep the timings. The only time this could cause a real problem is if you're growing photos and the 2 hours of shedding is at the end and beginning of the light cycle - essentially shortening 18 hours to 14 hours of light. Some Sativa strains flower with a bit more than 12 hours of light so I would be careful about what strains I select for this process if you go through with it. Whatever you want to turn on or off every day, use a timer so you don't have to be there all the time. When I experience load shedding, I do nothing bro - mainly because I can't do anything... I just let my trees sit in the dark in their environments until the lights come back on. My extraction and everything shuts off. I don't think load shedding is going to cause you much issues, just slightly smaller yield if its severely affecting your light hours. ........... 2) I think the plan is a bit much because of renting a new space, but I do understand, if you can't grow at home - sometimes it's just simple as that. This does mean, however, the landlord now knows where your grow is going to be... And that's kinda sensitive info. So taking that into consideration, I say your plan is viable. It would just be slightly more stressful because your plants and equipment will be on someone else's property and you won't be there all the time. I wouldn't advise you to start buying again either, it's way too expensive bro. A plan can be made, don't lose hope. Home grown indoor is amazing if you do it right, dry slowly, and cure for 3 weeks minimum... Its better than anything I've bought and cost me a fraction per gram compared to street prices. .................. The idea of running your grow at someone else's place isn't bad at all, I would be interested in helping you out honestly - to the best of my ability. We can talk more in the PMs about that though if you want. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk2 points

Hi @zolrooker, I tend to agree with @Bakstein420. Maybe first do the math and compare the costs for your monthly weed consumption against what your grow will cost in a month. If you would spend twice as much on weed from a dealer compared to just grow your own I'd say it's worth thinking about growing your own. In case you should decide on growing your own I would suggest to work with autoflowers as loadshedding isn't going to mess with their light cycles too much. One question remains. What would happen if the unhappy party will find out about your project?2 points

We also started at Giants and up to the top over and down Bannermans, slept 4 night on top. I didn't "feel" the Kanna physically or mentally but I know it helped me alot. Yeah that place is mistical/magical[emoji2369], only people we saw was the sheep herders every second day or so. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk2 points

Hi If anyone is interested I have a very good 2nd hand paperback of the Cannabis Breeders Bible by Greg Green. The deal also includes 20 regular seeds ( Seedsman ) of afghani indica ( 10 ) and skunk #1 ( 10 ) seeds. Just thought this would be a nice package for anyone wanting to get into breeding. Let me know if you are interested.1 point

What up 420 Fam. On to the next. 2 purple sunset autos And a few bags for fun and games. PS1 8 days. Looks like it had some strugles PS2 and the rest 3 days Week 1 . Seagrow dilution Gona try some LST on these autos. Lets roll1 point

So it starts. @Bay Seeds tester pack. 6 Regular Auto Flower F1 seeds. Currently germinating. I use a old penlite battery box, paper towel and my Openview decoder... Sure fire... every time.. 100% germination within 24hrs.... counting my chickens right... Just had some of @Totemic 's Bubble Berry Glue.... I am pleasantly surprised and stoned... I will discus this further in his tester section... Yum yum... So here we go... My first experience with autos were rather disappointing.. I do have high hopes though.. These babies will be grown outdoor in Freedom Farm classic Soil. (Green Bag) Started in a 1L pot for the first 4 weeks or up and untill they show sex. Then they will be transplanted to the 30L Freedom Farm Grow bag. At this point I will start feeding, in a verry low dosage, some microbes and Fire Juice. Plants will only be outside if there is open skies no wind, plenty of sun and temps above 20' C. Otherwize they will be kept in a window sill with plenty of sunshine. There's the plan gromies... And that is what I can do with what I have... The Bubble Berry glue was grown outside... verry little sunshine bad potting soil... sharing a pot with tomatoes and chillies.. well.. to be continued else were.. These should fare much better with a little more TLC. Any takers on the males? PM me..1 point

Hi there Friends, I'm new to the group but been browsing for a few weeks before signing up. I have started my first grow in Winter indoors with no lighting, intention was always to grow outside once it gets warmer. I purchased feminized Northern Lights and Blue Cheese as I was particularly looking for strains to support with a little pain relief but more to aid sleep. Obviously the high is an added benefit. I have 2 of each growing in 420 mix with a little earthworms compost and been feeding weekly with fresh earthworms (Juice) from my composting box. I started 3 weeks ago using Micro, Grow and Bloom 3 parts since a friend suggested using this to improve yields. Seeds were purchased from Mary Jane Seed company, I have no clue about the quality of their seeds but suspect oen of them is a Male, please can anyone confirm this? The pics are of the Northern Lights, first Pic looks like a male, the other looks very good(I think) Appreciate any coaching and advise, will post more pics tomorrow. Raf1 point

Beautiful plant! They tend to get Purple hues when it's cold at night. So yeah that's pretty normal.1 point

No compromise unfortunately bro. Ive tried, trust me lol, hence my only option of renting out another place. Only other option i have besides that tbh is to give someone my equipment, let them grow for me at their place and then split harvest 50-501 point

Bru that just seems over the top to rent out space for a tent. If you dont mind me asking, what was the issue at home? Is it not possibly easier to work around that or find a compromise with the unhappy party?1 point

@afternoon blazer that's pretty stealth. Most would never guess what's inside. Nice inside-the-box thinking ;)1 point

Howzit peepz. So my move is complete. Grow is now outside. Should be fine. But will monitor.1 point

Hi all, I just got myself some rooted sceletium tortuosum cuttings which I'll repot soon. Before I will do so I'd like to know if anyone here has grown these already. Are there any specific things I need to take care of? I guess normal cactus soil is fine?1 point

@GGG the Drakensberg area is great for hiking. The silence up there is unique in a way. I've been in giants castle rest camp. I'm curious about the effect of kanna. Tried it a decade ago but I got it from a questioable source. Now I just grow my own :).1 point

They are looking good and nice and healthy! Your biggest one there you could almost start with LST. I prefer to have atleast 4-5 nodes out before I top or perform LST.1 point

Very awesome, even li-on batteries too. Sounds like a fantastic setup. I wish I had lent your brother some money 2 years ago too. haha1 point

@PsyCLown Yes bud, I'm aware, 24V = 2 x 12V batteries. Capacity will not be doubled but apparently the efficiency is a little better than just 12V. Nice one. Since I was last online, an amazing thing has happened.... About 2 years ago I loaned my brother some money and today of all days he has decided to pay me back. Since he runs an electrical wholesaler, he paid me back with an awesome Kodak 5KW PSW inverter + 4 Lithium Ion batteries! Will be taking delivery Fri morn. I can now run EVERYTHING on this rig - lights, fans, A/C, dehumidifier, humidifier etc. I can't believe my luck and timing! Another massive positive is that I've learned so much from you guys & online, now have a much better understanding of how UPS inverters and batteries work, which I probably wouldn't have learned if it wasn't for this challenge. An awesome day, which was much needed!1 point

My Mexican Airlines just arrived and I received a Dinafem Cheese XXL Auto as a freebie. Guess I will get to try my hand at germinating a Dinafem bean.1 point

Sounds more or less right, something with an AC motor isn't meant to be run on a modified sine wave inverter, it will damage it. If it runs off dc though, shouldn't be an issue as that modified ac sine wave will be converted to DC. So Majority of electronics are run off dc. AGM batteries do have a slightly different floating voltage and it is best to have a charger which is built to charge an agm battery to ensure the life and quality of the battery is prolonged as much as possible. You can do a. It of googling about agm batteries and charging them in general. It's also why when you put a new battery in most newer cars, you need to register the battery as over time the car adjusts the way it charges the battery to compensate for the battery deteriorating. Without registering that it's a new battery it doesn't reset and the battery won't last as long. AGM batteries are generally used in cars with stop / start, but not limited to those and some of the newer cars automatically detect that its a new battery though I believe. Also not uncommon to see battery chargers which have a specific agm mode. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

Howsit 420SA community... I have decided that the time has come to start my very own outdoor grow this season. Better late then never hey... I have built a steel framed Green house (6m X 3m X 2.2m). I have chosen to go with Shade clothe for the sides of the Greenhouse, which I am hoping will help with controlling the high humidity we already experience down here on the coast. I have a plan of my own already based on looking at google and chatting with mates already in the game, but I would really appreciate any advice or help with getting this up and going the best way possible... Planting Fem Photoperiods (Nothing too serious - I got a great selection from Biltong and Budz) - Opinions on how to pop these seeds with the best success rate possible will be greatly appreciated. I am planning to only start my outdoor grow in late October - Early November. As I have heard some guys down here had some issues last season. What are your guys thoughts on this? I will be using a variety of fabric pots ranging in size from 25L, 45L, 55L and even a 90L I will be using FF Premium Classic as a growing medium... Plus I have some worm castings to use when needed. I will be using the Bio Bizz Organic Nutrient range, but would like to know what else others would use, and if KELPAK, CALMAG and EPSOM SALTS would help to aid the grow, or rather have little to no effect at all? I am very excited to get this up and going and will be grateful to any advice from the more experienced growers ono this forum... I am sure with your help and my enthusiasm, I can get this off to the best start possible and look forward to a great season of learning and hopefully resulting some dank budz... Take it Easy everyone and I look forward to hearing what your thoughts and opinions are...1 point

You got it a few online guides promote fluctuating your pH slowly between feeds in order to get the full spectrum of minerals your plants need, but if you can nail it at ~5.8 you'll pretty much be getting everything.1 point
-
I usually use this as a rule-of-thumb in the beginning then adjust depending on what the plant shows me. Here's a handy chart to help with any deficiencies due to incorrect pH:1 point
