Added some chopped up branches and woodchips around the side of the raised bed. This is mostly to help promote good fungal activity in the soil as the wood breaks down over time. It also helps to minimize evaporation. I added some well aged leaf compost again and tilled it over. I will keep the soil covered with cardboard from now on to maximize microbial activity.8 points

One of the ladies in my stable. Beans were gifted by a local indoor grower. Pineapple Express pollinated by a Purple Haze male. Pheno hunted a bit through the selection and this lady and her fruity boyfriend caught the eye. Smoke report is good-(my new favorite). Very smooth and tasty smoke with a funky 'chemberry' tang. Clear, strong and energetic with typical sativa cerebral effect.4 points

Grow Diary Update: Sour Diesel Auto - Currently day 9 of drying. No snap on twig bends just yet but it's looking like tomorrow might be the day. Yield is very small though. I didn't expect that much considering I was growing 3 plants under a single 75watt light. Cocopopo Auto & Gelato Samba Auto - Currently in week 10 (day 67). They seem to have bounced back after the droopiness. I increase air flow and just watered with plain water until first sign of runoff. Thereafter, just light spraying with plain water every other day until soil was dry again and then I hit them with a bloom feed. They seem OK now. Hoping that these two yield a bit more than the sour diesel auto.4 points

Morning again fine people. Update time. This baby makes me smile everytime i look at it. Week 8 - Day 60. No training. No defoil. Nutez from start of week 4. 8 liter pot. 24 hour light until week 5 ( 9 hours of sun from week 2 and the rest was LED floodlight. From week 5 to current, about 10 hours of sunlight only. She stands about 40cm tall. Probably flush at the start of week 9. Trichz are mostly cloudy. Theres some rotational shots.4 points

Morning Fam. Just an update. Week 3 PS1 - day 20 REST - day 15 May do a feeding today or tomorrow. Will check the soil this evening. Last watering was on sunday. So im gona top the bag seeds (plastic pots). Probably tonight or tomorrow morning. I want the 4th node to have abit of a stem before topping. ( its worth noting that i have no idea if the bags are gona be female or not. But anyway. . . Lets see how it goes. Advise required Should i be defoiling the leaves after topping or just leave them to grow? Should i tie down the branches after topping or wait for the new branches to tie down? With the Purple Sunset autos. Im only gona do some LST. But LST on PS2 and PS3. Thought as a small experiment i will leave the PS1 to grow on its own. And maybe compare the grows and end product. I will probably start the LST when i top the other plants. So tonight or tomorrow. Advise required. With regards to the PS1. Any advise on how to get it to stretch abit? After adding more soil. Shes very low to the ground. Would like it to stretch abit. Suggestions please. Any other suggestions or advise on things i might have not noticed aswell. Please let me know.4 points

Day 40 in flower under the @Liontree 320 supernova! Girls are super healthy and doing well. Some are running to the finish line and others are a bit behind but happy days all round it seems. Oh yes, let me not forget, distinct smell of sour sweets here, AMAZING! can almost taste them!4 points

Ok, I brewed my first AACT just to dial things in before I start my outdoor grow. I kept the recipe simple: 125ml home made compost, 125ml home made worm castings and 30 ml molasses in 15 liter rain water. After 36 hours of brewing it seemed ready.3 points

Slowly working towards that harvest day opening the tent is an event every time now and the aromas are quite amazing. The Pink Mango Gelato has a very distinct and sweet smell with the resin producing a sharp vanilla smell on the fingers I'm super stoked on the progress. The outdoor baby is also looking classic. Not super huge buds but the shape of the whole plant I really like I feel like I had so much more to post about in the past and usually posted whenever I ran into snags, which were plenty and often, but now not so much2 points

The seedlings are really showing vigour. They are in FF classic and no feeding will be given until I repot them.. The greenhouse is doing it's thing..2 points

Coming together slowly. I'm now stuck on the ventilation component, but I have time this afternoon to do some reading. If any of you have a good link or two to share, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks for all the assistance and advice so far! This community is very different to the 'various FB pages I look at.2 points

I bought 2 clip fans from futurama earlier this year. They stopped oscillating after 4 days. But i couldn't return it as i cut the plugs off. I wouldn't recommend anything other than a "real" desk fan. You can always mod it to take up less space2 points

Usually you would reduce the light power or move it further away to induce stretch. However you're nearing the start of week 4 with an auto so she may start her flowering stretch.2 points

Hey man, have not really fed them much (but it does seem like something like that), I've just been watering, and gave a bit of fix mix here and there. They will be going into an amended soil so I think they will do good, only time will tell.2 points

The youngans are now settled in and seem to be showing some vigour.. only three made it but that was due to my own stupidity..2 points

Whatsup my 420 family As the title indicates, this is going to be my First Outdoor Growing Experience I must admit, I have 2 plants busy growing in organic potting soil that I have been using as test subjects These were just 2 seeds I got from some decent buds I got a little while back, decided to try the germination process and planting them. I wanted to do this first, as I didn't want to go all out and purchase seeds and medium when I couldn't get the first steps half right None the less, this will be Officially, my First Outdoor Grow Diary. So lets kick this Dairy off with the seeds The seeds have all been purchased through Biltong and Budz (for the first time buying seeds, I must say, these guys delivered some awesome service). They are also all Photoperiod seeds. Banana Kush [Feminized] Sunset Sherbet [Feminized] Platinum OG [Fast Feminized] Bruce Banner [Fast Feminized] As for the Medium, I went with Freedom Farms Premium Classic Living Soil. For Nutrients, I have gone with Terra Aquatica Pro Organic Grow and Bloom. For Pots, I have decided to go with 2 x 40l Fabric Pots and 2 x 30l Plastic Pots, wanted to experiment between the 2. Excuse the pictures, taking pics isnt a specialty of mine but I will try get better shots as these ladies grow Just some random shots of a seed during the germination stage (all my other pics were blurry AF), Medium, Nutrients, and their homes.1 point

The reason i grow indoor. I use to stay on a small holding with geese, dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, chickens and grooms. Nothing was safe, I never saw an outdoor harvest after numerous attempts.1 point

Good stuff, it looks lekker. AACT has many beneficial uses for your plants. Just use your nose.... if it smells fresh ,musty, mushroomy or earthy you're good. Any off, sour, rotten, putrid smells proceed with caution or dump it to be safe.1 point

You know those plants will be fine. The are in your soil. Plant will secrete the right sugars and tell the microbes what it needs.1 point

@ORGANinc. , you are most likely looking at a magnesium deficiency. Looks like they need some food in general, a repot will help a lot.1 point

Is one of the troubles with running different strains at the same time.. some are faster, some slower.. First thing to check is air flow. If they do not get vented well, they stay behind. Tent corner plants have often that issue.. or a bigger plant covers the flow in front. If you want to fiddle a bit with the plants, guide the new branches into the light or bend the leaves away with some 90 degree plant bends. Don't remove any leaves, those energy sources are very much needed now. Rest, looking good!1 point

I also have a bright star one, got from Takealot a while back. One died, then takealot swapped it out. The other is quite noisy but still working. I got another one from I cannot remember where and that died within 3 months. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

Clip fans can be convenient, although price and lifespan is what has put me off. The clip fans I have had, have not lasted long. How old are your clip fans, I assume they also run 24/7 ? I see Hydroponic have a RAM clip fan, wonder if that may not last longer. Its like R600 though.1 point

To me it has to do with the moons gravitational effects on water. Full moon draws water up to the surface, and surely affects water in plants too. I plant by the moon, and have found that germination is quicker, seedlings stronger when I plant at full moon compared to any other time of the month. All anecdotal of course. Just part of my seasonal routine. The next full moon is 1 October, and I'll be dropping my first outdoor beans then.1 point

Those smaller clip on type of fans generally do not last all that long. I also prefer the larger box fans or oscillating fans, lots of options available with those - just need to become creative with how to mount them.1 point

These babies are booming. Did a watering today. And toped up the soil in the grey pots. Was abit low. . . Didnt have enough at time of potting and soils settled abit more. Seems like they enjoyed their first night in the new atmosphere. Temps sticky around the 23-26 mark. Humidity between the 40 and 60 range.1 point

Eeeeeey guys been kaaaak busy with a really exciting venture that I hopefully will soon reveal. As for this grow, everything is smooth sailing. Probably why I haven't really had much to say, literally just waiting for more development from the buds Just been taking a couple leaves off everyday just to open up the colas as much as possible. even from the bottom nugs I'll be getting some decent popcorn. The main colas on the big plants in the DWC are just getting bigger and bigger1 point

Soooo I got my airpump and fiddled around a bit. Couldn't find 35mm pvc pipes anywhere, so I tried 25mm and it works like a charm. This is how it looks like. Now I got a question what you guys use as a 'teabag'?1 point
