11/9/2020. Day 1. I'm gonna be using days instead of date from here going forward. 3 seeds into 10l pots and I put a dome over them. Not sure if this is the correct thing to do but I'll be monitoring them. Had to put the light off to take the cabinet pic, just in case you all think I got a regular light bulb in there. QB75 is 500mm above plant. Blurple is 400mm above plant. I'll have to figure out correct heights, open to suggestions here bud's. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk3 points

Yes and yes... Some Strains seem to hermie even when all growing parameters have met. That to me qualifies for crappy variety for example. Also some varieties just don’t have a nice terpene profile no matter what you as a grower do. But I guess taste differs from person to person. But I think in most cases it's mostly up to the grower. It takes time to be able to 'read' your plants and each strain likes different things. Meeting your plants needs and growing with passion is getting the best out of your plants.3 points

Aah, I get you. Yeah I just try to make the most of my lights also, hence the training method... I found this way is the easiest and most rewarding for me. I agree with the strains reacting a bit differently, but the basics is all the same... The only issue I've had is when the strain has early staggered growth (not symmetrical)... Kind of messes up the training a bit but its still manageable. Will definitely be following your next grow. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk2 points

Without a doubt, lots of shit out there I feel. Although with that being said, what I look for in a strain may differ to what you look for. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

Shit I know this should probably go to the grow diary space but I just wanna share the rest of the ladies even though they didn't make the flux mainline cut while vegging under the 100w. They still followed the same topping and training schedule though. Gorilla Kim #1 Gorilla Kim #22 points

Thought I'd update a bit on my 2 flux mainline flowering ladies. Shoutout to all the forum farmers that gave some input and for @TheUltimateNoob for the initial spark. Both ladies have exceptional quality with the Washing Machine growing like mad and some big bud development. Then on the other hand the peyote WiFi is building some tricome like mad. I am currently on day 53 since 12/12 flip. Washing machine Peyote WiFi2 points

So things have tapered off a bit with the current grow, but the new trains I am runing is still fire. Especially the Ghost Train Haze. Hands down the best plant I've grown. The blunicorn reminds me of the Spumoni. Similar bud structure and colours. Last pic is the critical x banner from GSRseeds.2 points

Just for the fun of it ^^ #1 "Lighthouse" (Royal Gorilla Automatic) #2 "Ladies abused by Eskom" I agree that the picture wasn't hard to take.. getting those 8 Blue Cheese Autos to this point, a real effort grow Not there yet 1,2 weeks to go2 points

Thought I should throw some Monochrome shots in the mix. EDIT: It's the same plant, took some final pics before entry closes. GSC Clone from a friend. 1. "The Watcher" 2. "The brag shot" 3. "Donkertoring" 4. "Close-up" 5. "Creamy Cookies"2 points

Do you guys think there is still crappy varieties out there? Or is it up to the grower?1 point

I've run into a couple of duds - multiple plants, same strain, same breeder - all different in growth and terpene profiles - one hermied in flower for no reason. Will never buy from them again. Schoolfees. If the genetics are weak or the breeder messed up somewhere, the grower can try his best and still end up with shite. But I must also add, some growers have greener fingers than others....and some should rather stay away from plants.1 point

My bet would be the dehumidifier. Those devices including humidifiers have terrible sensors. I would set them and cross reference using another humidity sensor like the Sonoff and just adjust the de/humidifier until I got the humidity I wanted.1 point

Beautiful! Cant wait to see them growing. Love the setup.1 point

So - 4/4 pop rate all from different sources : Trophy, B&Budz and The Grow Shop freebie (2 x Ripper Seeds Do-G, 1x TH seeds French Macaron and a freebie President seeds Osama bin Gelato Auto which I plan to gift to someone perhaps). The other 2 x were the testers. One is plug (bottom one) and other Checkers grow pod (top one). The plugs basically only get wet and retain a nice amount of water. It does not really double in size or anything like the pods.1 point

Fo sho. First time trying it. Also it’s 3 weeks into an auto grow so really an experiment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

They dont break the law for you. You declare value and content and are responsible for what you declare. You can go premium and pool parcels (up to 45 days storage) to save courier fees. Just with seeds, do not collect several parcels into one... they see seeds, they remove them. I just get another shipment of Serenade... so service works like a charm. I use bitcoin to pay them. You select what post service you want to use, they offer all options. If the seeds are stealth packed, just declare what item it is inside. Stealth packed seeds can also get pooled into one parcel. They dont see, they dont care.1 point

Fimming is still a mystery to me, I can't quite visualise it mentally how the plant grows from a fim. If you could do a progress compilation of how the fim grows out, that'd be dope.1 point

Trying a FIM on the white widow. Let’s see how many tops comes out. Supposedly more than 2 Going for a acacia look Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

One of the ladies in my stable. Beans were gifted by a local indoor grower. Pineapple Express pollinated by a Purple Haze male. Pheno hunted a bit through the selection and this lady and her fruity boyfriend caught the eye. Smoke report is good-(my new favorite). Very smooth and tasty smoke with a funky 'chemberry' tang. Clear, strong and energetic with typical sativa cerebral effect.1 point

Added some chopped up branches and woodchips around the side of the raised bed. This is mostly to help promote good fungal activity in the soil as the wood breaks down over time. It also helps to minimize evaporation. I added some well aged leaf compost again and tilled it over. I will keep the soil covered with cardboard from now on to maximize microbial activity.1 point

Some of you guys might remember the daddy I chose last year, nicknamed "FruityPuke". This girl was selected from about 15 beans that got mixed up, mystery mom, FruityPuke male. The terps of this plant is a dirty berry, like diesel berry chem funk. She got the nickname FruityPoopz, a new potential mom in my stable, definitely going to make beans with her at the very least1 point

Expressing herself nicely this time of year. Aroma is full on Blueberry with this cut.1 point

I am not doing any breeding. Currently happy using GHE nutes - simple and effortless. Just works well.1 point

@DamDave, priceless... I also got one of these at home. Caught her doing HST and defoliation one day.1 point

I just try look after her cause she is pretty loud. How is the flavor profile on the Ethos selection. This particular cut is gassy and sweet, quite complex, best description i heard was, like rum a d raisen icecream.1 point

Just need to give some recognition where it's overdue . I've come across alot of growers who can talk the talk... And just 1 who walks the walk... He's the real OG and the best part is he is humble as fk. Thanks bro for sharing your experience with me and many others... Thank you for liking everyone's content regardless of it being one little stunted plant in a tent to a room full of fire. Guys... How's about a 'like' for @Dank1 point

She's starting to bulk up, otherwise happy. Its her half way mark, so it's all downhill from here. Currently on 5ml/l MKP. She will be fed only twice more.1 point
