Seedsman Lemoncello Haze

#1 - Some bottom buds, sugar leaves doing the most.

GERMINATION: My first three seeds went into baggies on the evening of 9th September. The first popped on 11th and the remaining two popped on 12th. They are in cups in Western Cape coastal, mountain soil, and the first has popped it's cotyledons. The remaining two look set to pop cotyledons later today or tomorrow. The weather is now suitably above 13 degrees most of the time, so the sprouts will be able to metabolize. Spring has sprung and new leaves are starting to show all around the garden. Of our local landraces, I favour the Transkei. It has a beautiful clean high, creative, sociable and euphorically energizing. I am hoping to do a comparative grow with a different batch of Transkei origin seed and if I get lucky I might get a male out of this grow. I have tried harvesting pollen and it is not easy for me, but I hope to get it right this season if I am lucky enough. I am going to grow in the dark loamy soil in the garden, which is on a mountainside overlooking a bay. I am strongly considering Hugelkulture with some homemade amendments. I will take some Myccorhizae samples from the fynbos and inoculate my soil before transplanting. Last season I developed my own basic kasteel combo bug control juice, which I will treat the leaves with as a preventative measure. I will feed with Lactobacillus, kelp, castings and chicken poop. I will also mix in some bokashi bran when building my pile. If I can get hold of a small quantity of alfalfa pellets I will mash some of those in too.

Hey all, So how about sharing some of your secrets, wondering if any of you guys have special mixes of stuff you like to use on your plants which you feel make a difference and how do you use it? I know some of the common stuff is kelpack, silicon, various nutrients via foliar spray, Triancontanol etc. Then you get the stuff like trichoderma which can help keep roots happy and mycorrhizal fungi as well which you'd generally mix in with the medium or apply via a "soil" drench. Your various bloom boosters, which is generally MPK. Curious as to what you find works for you and how you apply it.

Personally, all the mycoroot, definitely tops. I even go as far as to rub my seeds with mycoroot before planting, and then again for every transplant going forward. Additional silicon during veg, especially when topping more than once, I find very useful. EM Pro-soil I add to every feeding. Otherwise, I try not to add anything else whether I'm using BioBizz or GHE nutes. Apart from the above, I trust these nutes to be sufficient.

Yeah don’t stress then. Let them dry up now. Shouldn’t be a problem with the rise in temps. Pick them up first until you notice they are super light, you much rather under water than over water And then get a feel for the weight after watering. I would also suggest trying to get run-off only when absolutely necessary. Smaller plants really don’t use a lot of water

Just a lil update, they growing nicely with the one outside(15l pot) starting to show some purple (probably the cold) The biggest one(top left) and the 15lt pot are the same age and the top right is about a week or so behind.

If its coming right then monitor for now, otherwise let us know. Auto's in general can be weird I find, very finicky. Not all of them, but some for sure. I would also start feeding closer to normal nutes as the plants are starting to get bigger now and I am sure you're at a lower PH by now too?

Nice! Sounds like a lot of natural stuff, not too much coming from a store I think this could be a great grow! Eager to see how it turns out.

Cool could have been some fungal issue if the CopperSoap is doing the trick. Soil takes a bit of time to settle in, dont stress too much, they looking good considering, see if the issue persists. Looks like enough N there at the moment, new growth quite dark green.

@Teal Smith have you been foliar feeding with anything? Skme of the silvery speckled marks look a bit like thrip damage. Not sure what soil u are using, sometimes a "hot" soil can also cause weird issues. The new growth does look a lot better, i would keep a eye on the new leaves, care not to over water or under water.

This is not a diagnosis, but check out "tobacco mosaic virus". Rare but not impossible

It could be. I over-watered once, trying to get some runoff but they were still quite small so think I may have overdid it. But most never seemed to mind. It's strange

Thanks Psyclown. Yes am feeding closer to normal nute schedule now. Should I have lower PH than 5.7? It's been between 5.7 & 6.2

Looking good man! I've actually just ran out of my Veg nutes (Biotrissol) but have some slow release Bio Ocean pallets in as well.

The litle one's are comming allong nicely.. Smaller than @CoolJ 's I'm not sure what steroids he's feeding them but they 3 times the size..

Looks like the onset of a fusarium wilting. Usually caused by bad fungi, caused by over watering

Oh Yeah definitely bigger. The cocopopo is close to double the size of the sour diesel. The Gelato Samba buds looks like they might be small but I'm going to keep training her and give her a nice fat feed towards the end of the week and hopefully she fattens up a bit more.

@Dank In the beginning I wasn't and the problem has been there from the start. Recently, I have started foliar spraying, say the last week - with a weak dilution of nutes, and once with copper soap for PM and other mold/mildew prevention, and it has made things much better. I also thought thrips damage in the beginning but no bugs anywhere to be found. The other plants (the majority) are all looking great as well. Using Atami's High Porosity Coco, and it is slightly "hot". But not much, apparently. I also only started feeding nutes about 2 weeks in, and maybe what we're seeing is a N deficiency...? but not sure on that either. There's also the fact that I put some Mycoroot "granules" in the medium, and the roots on this strain could not be liking that. The problem seems to be under control, gets better each day that passes, and new growth looks good. So will keep an eye. Just wish I knew what I was up against, exactly

So guys, am I still worrying too much? They're looking a little better today but some still have this issue. Would love to know what it is so I can avoid next time....

Not bad bro. I will be happy if i get that from my sweet tooth. But also. The other 2 plants look much larger then the diesel did.

So I yielded 16g from the sour diesel. Not much but I'm happy with it. I started her under a chinese type blurple light for the first few weeks and since I'm only using a 75watt light and I've got 3 plants under there, I wasn't expecting much. I'm hoping to get a bit more from these two now. Hopefully, I can upgrade the light in the next few months.

Nice 1 brother. Seems like that LST worked out excellent on the autos. Looks about another 3 to 4 weeks maybe. Any estimates on the yield u expecting from the sour diesel? The auto im growing without training should be finishing around the 72 - 74 day mark. But obviously different strains. Im currently trying with the same strain. Started same time. 1 trained and 1 no training. I need to know the difference.

Eish u see im scared lol but 1ml per L is steep. Im use less than 0,5 on my 1st dose if I do, my plant's are busting and I dont wanna spoil ANYTHING

Day 4. Seed #2 has finally popped it's head above ground, it is looking pretty weird though. Almost like there's a membrane of sorts. #1 and #3 are chomping at the bits. I am giving very small amounts of water using a kitchen spray bottle on direct spray setting. Hoping for females now and thinking if I should do some sort of training when the time is right. Hey Everyone, Happy Sunday :) So some time has passed and the seedlings I was concerned with above have developed what seems to be a deficiency, or problem of some kind. It's only about half of the AK x Critical Mass strain that's doing this. See pics below. The GSC + limited LSD seem to be very happy though, and almost all of them are looking great! :) (will post pics separately). So it's something that only this one strain isn't liking.... All seedlings being treated the same with the same light and water, food, temp, RH etc. same same. (Temp @ 22 - 24 C and humidity between 55% - 65%) On deficiency chart it looks like it could Potassium or Magnesium deficiency but not sure about that... On some, the edges were browning a little, so snipped off the dead parts. But that happened only with 3 plants. I was advised to go easy on the nutes when working with autos, and since the coco was pre-amended by Atami (Atami High Porosity Coco), I thought 2 weeks without feeding (only ph'd water) would have been ok. Rather too little than too much, was my thought. But now I'm thinking that this could be a Nitrogen deficiency? and maybe they were hungry all along? I have stated feeding with low doses of nutes since (2 feeds, low - medium doses) and they seem to be looking a little better. Definitely a shade darker also. I've had my QB's on about half power, at 30cm above canopy, could it be that they need a little more light? I've kept the PH at between 5.7 & 6.2, fluctuating between the 2 extremes with a feed every 0.2, every other day (waiting for top inch of coco to dry) so no shocking changes. Only other thing I can think of is, this strain is not liking the Mycoroot I put into the coco before planting the seeds.... but not sure if that's a thing...
