Hey, No need to worry about posting this here, we're happy to be transparent about this. Fast Ways has seemingly lost 3 of our parcels this year, out of the thousands that's been sent, it's not a common occurrence, but never excusable. And the worst part is that our attempts to get it resolved are similar to yours. The delay in email response is likely due to us having to reach out for updates from Fast Ways and then waiting for a response on their end. I wish we had control over the shipping, but once it's in Fast Ways hands, we really have no control over anything and we rely on them to do their job (which unfortunately they seem to be unable to do at times). We've had issues with both Courier Guy and Fast Ways, in fact we've had issues with every courier we've tried. There really seems to be no ideal solution to the problem. Let me assure you though, that you will not lose your money in this. We typically work with Fast Ways to reimburse the customers (it should be them doing it, as it's their service that is failing us both). As Prom said, if they arrived - they had the package at some point. Some idiots there either just lost it. I'll try and fast-track this for you with the team. But I am aware of this order issue, as I have seen the team going back and forth with Fast Ways trying to find out where the package is and how to proceed. Someone may have actually already contacted you - but I'll follow up now and drop you a private message with what I figure out. Apologies for this, trust me - I'm as annoyed with their service as you are.6 points

This might just, be the first reveging auto mother ever... This phenomenon might never before be documented... But this is the nice thing about the forum... all will be revealed in a few months time... I learn new things every day.. on the forum and off... 26 years ago when I had my first joint I never for the life of me thought that there is so much to learn about the plant... Not even talking about breeding...5 points

If the courier rocks up at your place, he had a way manifest. Clearly they had the parcel from B&B... or they wouldnt have shown at your spot. See no reason to drive to your spot, if there was no parcel to deliver and B&B still had to hand it over. Contact the courier and tell them to stop the crap. Driver might know the sender and decided that you dont go to the cops anyhow, and decided to grab the content. But good to know, Fastway off my list for reliable couriers. Hope B&B doesnt use those guys anymore. And Thanks for posting.. helps to find reliable services in SA, or just point out the no go zones5 points

i agree lol... mostly. from what i can see on tv nowdays is still mostly joints... noobs that have no experience notice these things and kind of have what they see on tv as an idea in their head about how to consume it. Joints and bongs mostly. so as a beginner i might be inclined to start of with a joint or a bong as opposed to heavy vapes that look like something out of a space movie. kinda makes me wonder what the next step is from there? intravenous injection?? LOL ok ok ok that was a bit far fetched. but one thing my ex has taught me, is that just because we know what may be the best/ healthiest/ tastiest/ most enjoyable way to consume weed. but without the journey of learning and experiencing the different aspects of weed, one can learn how they best enjoy weed. and for me, starting at the top isnt the ideal way to introduce weed to a new person. and i love the taste of burning marijuana ... the hot coal on the tip of the joint... the smoldering of a fat bowl in a bong... the deep taste of the smoke and the after taste aswell... the taste of the paper and the caramelized flavour of the burning roach.3 points

i agree with @Dank it looks to me like some sort or lady bug, maybe one still developing its colours. At any rate, if its not making visible kak... then leave it be, it might be chowing the bugs that do cause kak3 points

What's up everyone, hope you're all doing great! It's been a while since I've been active on here an this is why. About two months ago I finally took the big step to cut all ties and invest literally all of myself into starting up a business with a guy who's been wanting to do this for a while. I gave my current boss the word, put in my last months notice and this week is my last week before everything starts. This is nothing cannabis related so more detail on that later. I am not trying to tell you guys my lifes story so will try stick to the important stuff! To help give some perspective, I am 25 and I live in the first place I've been renting on my own. Without a fixed income and untill there's a good cash flow again to get things running everything has to be as cost effective as possible. I've been meeting with people and the best setup is about 10mins drive from my parents house, so I am moving back to my home town and living with the rents untill things are up and running. This is was not an easy desicion to make, but I am confident in a positive outcome. As for my grow- I will have the 1mx1m tent setup running, but had to take apart the veg boX I built, as there wont be space for it. (At first. hahah) I am busy harvesting at the moment, got the last plant of 4 hanging, other 3 are jarred up and being burped daily. Photos and info will be posted in my thread regarding the grow. Also took the 4 ladies out the veg box, put them in their 20L pots and moved into the tent. Now I have to move with all this hahah the new cannabis bill was just in time!! A few of you might know, in July I ordered a few things off digikey, some of the stock was out so I opted for a backorder, they told me 8 weeks however it arrived in 5 weeks. Got my box 25th of August. Now I just have to put it all together, but will do that once I'm finished moving. Last thing, I built a big hot house, for cacti spesifically, at my rents place which is still there and they've got a nice garden with lots of space. So will probably do some outdoor stuff again too!! The hot house isn't the best for cannabis, but will see what can be done! That's about it, I look forward to giving you all updates on the light build and new grow. I will be growing in a completely different climate so will be interesting to see how adjustment goes. Blessed people!3 points

Howzit bro. Yeah in theres alot of back and forth with training Autos. My first grow. I let her just grow. On the 2nd grow now. And decided to LST 1 auto and let the other 2 grow. So that i could compare the grows. As mentioned above. Autos start pre flowering early. However another member is growing some autos and doing some topping. @SoloKush. Im waiting to see how his plants turn out. To get an idea. The 2 autos i started for the experiement were started the same time. Normal grow is into flowering already. I only did a defoil. The lst grow is barely starting pre-flower. Same genetics. Not sure if the lst slowed it down. Pics 1 and 2 is the LST Pics 3 and 4 is the normal grow. Started same time.3 points

I agree there is lots of shit out there. I think if your starting out and you dont have the cash. You go through lots of shit before you realize that you have to pay for good genetics.3 points

Thanks for the response @Biltong and Budz. Even when a solution seems nonexistent, communication is always important. @wanna be dagga kop I am sure BnB will sort you out3 points

Ya fastway isn't my preferred courier, always had good service from CourierGuy. Probably because their depo is round the corner from me.3 points

Topping can be done but is stressfull, all depends on the actual genetics , most of the autos i have tried dinafem, advanced genetics, seedsman usually start preflower by week 3 doing anything thereafter will stunt, if veg could be stretched a week or two longer it should be ok with topping, LST is still best for autos personally, it must be adjusted every day and some light defoliation can do wonders in the long run, i feel topping an auto is a waste, rather do it for Photos the results speak for themselves with the plants i have grown. yo! who uses HID currently and why are you still using it? im very interested in CMH DE lights, but my word the electricity and heat scares me haha what are your thoughts guys2 points
-
please elaborate on this.. i am of the opinion that an auto is an auto and will not react to the hours of light it gets... it sprouts, it flowers, it dies.2 points

Also if u want a good fast cheap solution. I heard great things about the fabric shopping bags. Specifically the woolies 1z.2 points

yea i get that you are talking about Auto trait. and depending which trait is dominant is the way the offspring will turn out. If the Auto gene is dominant over the photo gene you could experience 75% auto and 25% photo in F1, from there you select the best male that flowers under 24h and the best female that flowers under 24h, mix em , and if you chose the right autos with the dominant gene and not recessive gene, then your ratio could improve to something like 93% auto and 7% photo in F2. so you are right in saying you would need to get to atleast F3 before you could reach your 99% Auto outcome. i was just disputing crossing a photo and auto result in only photo offspring2 points

So far I have managed to keep my entire outdoor grow seedless, and am roughly another month away till harvest, but past few days I've noticed a ton of bees hovering around the plants which didn't bother me much but today spotted a few really hanging around the most resinous buds, with one landing on a branch and quickly flying off, which leads me to my question - has anyone had a sensi crop pollinated by bees? Ive heard of plants being pollinated by the wind so surely not farfetched to think bees could too (I don't keep males at all so I'm not sure whether bees feed off male flowers - don't see why they wouldn't) If it is a risk whats a good step to take to dissuade the bees without harming them or forcing them to relocate2 points

The one pheno I have is definitely a keeper. It did not strech t much in flower and already has the biggest buds in the room. The other pheno has the same terps but I can see the buds are not as compact but that could be that the light is a bit iffy. Getting a new light on friday for that side Of the tent. That first pheno must be the Ghost OG side of the genetics.2 points

Hey bro. Not sure what those little guys are. Have you noticed any markings on the leaves or any patches being eaten? Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will stop by and comment.2 points

Sounds like Fastway lost your parcel, I would be putting pressure on them. @Biltong and Budz2 points

Hi @GGG , im afraid cutting just the one cola at the back will direct the energy to the whole plant. The rest of the screen will dwarf that corner. You can also trim whats below the screen to push the energy into the main buds. Plants have a way of filling up the space in flower, a big consideration with scrog is the headspace + anticipated stretch.2 points
-
Really good question @GGG. Mainlining might level the canopy but then you will need to deal with the monster bush that will form as a result As @Bakstein420 suggests, super cropping will slow down the growth, level the canopy and increase yield to that branch without vastly increasing vegetation.2 points
-
What about super cropping? You could keep that cola but slow it down so the others can catch up?2 points

Ultimately it would come down to the plant - if its a fast grower and very healthy and takes time before it goes into flower, then you may be able to get away with topping it. If not, then I would avoid it as that could just make matters worse and stunt the plant and decrease your yield. Due to the uncertainly with autos, if I were to grow some (or when), I will likely just do LST and not topping or any HST.2 points

Broke out the 'ol tripod ( @TheUltimateNoob, @afternoon blazer ) and took some trichome and bud shots to see where we are with harvest. The outside lady (Skywalker OG) is one dirty girl dust and bugs will definitely be on the flavour profile if I don't do a wash. Will be the first time I do a bud wash so that will be interesting. I rate in terms of harvest, I think I will begin the flush, do that for a week and harvest sometime closer to the weekend. Inside we are still maybe looking at harvest at the end of the month. Buds are getting orange hairs and the aromas just keep getting better. The sugar leaves look insane and I am very happy with the progress. Slowly working towards that harvest day opening the tent is an event every time now and the aromas are quite amazing. The Pink Mango Gelato has a very distinct and sweet smell with the resin producing a sharp vanilla smell on the fingers I'm super stoked on the progress. The outdoor baby is also looking classic. Not super huge buds but the shape of the whole plant I really like I feel like I had so much more to post about in the past and usually posted whenever I ran into snags, which were plenty and often, but now not so much2 points

Just for the fun of it ^^ #1 "Lighthouse" (Royal Gorilla Automatic) #2 "Ladies abused by Eskom" I agree that the picture wasn't hard to take.. getting those 8 Blue Cheese Autos to this point, a real effort grow Not there yet 1,2 weeks to go2 points

Eeeeeey guys been kaaaak busy with a really exciting venture that I hopefully will soon reveal. As for this grow, everything is smooth sailing. Probably why I haven't really had much to say, literally just waiting for more development from the buds Just been taking a couple leaves off everyday just to open up the colas as much as possible. even from the bottom nugs I'll be getting some decent popcorn. The main colas on the big plants in the DWC are just getting bigger and bigger2 points

Been a while since the last update, still building on the initial flower production. Things have been pretty breezy so far. Not sure how vegans work... But I really don't think you should be splitting ends over your home grown... If you had any idea what has been put on the weed you bought, you would probably never smoke again.... And no dissing your lifestyle choices... But this forum is dedicated to helping you grow the best herb possible... And I don't think you should be forcing your views on your plant... You have a problem with WPM... Unfortunately you will need to deal with it head on or it will get worse. There is a product called AQSF, which you could use instead... But not sure how vegan friendly it is1 point

yea, that link @swumsent has some pretty interesting arguments full of words like "Semi-Auto" and "fast" "crappy genetics" and it would seem that not alot of info is out there about them. but they seem to have a place, or at least they are gaining popularity. i mean, i would love a fast auto flowering high yielding plant ... but in the same breath, i can get a Fast photo flowering high yielding plant instead1 point
-
went to trusty google and came back with some ideas... seems my thinking of breeding the auto gene/ all genes is flawed... seems there is no ON OFF button when it comes to genes... they can mix and change. so where your auto flower can flower in 20 hours of light... but will reveg from 21h kind of vibes... very interesting... breeding the auto gene to express itself @18 hours and flower in conditions from 18 hours down... but if shes a keeper you could push her up to 24 hours and take cuttings like you are doing. i can only imagine the sheer volume of plants and phenos one would go through to find such a plant.1 point

So I initially didn't wanna post this here but I'm doing so to hopefully get a quicker response from you guys. My seeds was supposed to be delivered last week Tuesday, courier(Fastway Couriers) pulled up at my place, looked in the van for the parcel and couldn't find it. Since then I have been in contact with fast way and Biltong and Buds but nothing is clear as to me getting my seeds. Fastway says I must contact Biltong and Buds and Biltong and Buds say I must contact Fastway. I'm honestly highly annoyed with this situation at the moment because it feels like I'm the only one running around and trying to figure out if I'm going to get my seeds. Email repliers are non existent from fastway and biltong's email replies takes 1 to 3 days to reply. Reason I bought seeds from you guys is because you guys have great reviews and I have friends who have bought seeds from you with no problem at all. I just want to know what's gonna happen moving forward, am I going to get my seeds, am I going to get a refund or am I going to get nothing?1 point
-
Thanks for the reply. Got some seeds from a buddy at work. No idea what(type) they are. Half of them were grown starting straight in soil and the other half using paper towels. Once the germinated placed them in Freedom Farms Premium Classic growing medium. They seem to be going strong. Had to cull one as it was a male and was starting to form pollen sacks. Only using good old mother nature's sunlight. Roughly 8weeks old.1 point

Found the bastard. Shot @Stinger96 It was literally the only nanner I could find, right on top of the main cola on one of the Skywalker OG plants in the fabric pots. Plucked it with some fine tweezers and now on the look out for any more popping up1 point

I find your comment interesting about not spraying in flower. I have a plant that just started flowering (bout 4 weeks in) and I noticed a small wpm problem that returned so I sprayed with Pyrol because of the neem oil in it that kills the spores. Can I still let it grow and harvest?1 point
