Cocopopo Auto & Gelato Samba Auto - day 81. I've upgraded my light yesterday. Switched from the QB75 to the QB130. I'm saving the extra 75watts for the next run. So far, looks good.4 points

Hi Guys, I am new to cannabis growing, but have to learn fast. Many years experience in hydroponics, aeroponics and tissue culture. Busy building a commercial licensed cannabis facility. I hope to get some valuable information in this forum. TIA2 points

Welcome.. Here I will share my current flowering plants. They are local genetics except one: 1 x Choc Kush ( Totemic) 1 x Double stuffed sherbert (garden route genetics) 1 x KB7 (garden route genetics) 1 x Sherb breathe ( garden route genetics) 1 x Jacob's Ladder ( round table genetics) They have been in veg for a while and finally have space for the to flower. Jacob's Ladder below first time doing a scrog, will see how this play out. Setup is in the garage with a hill billy dang thang going on, size is 1.4 x 1.2 and running 3 x 400W HPS lights. Took clones from all the plants, and did not have space for the other 3 that was planned to move in together. They back in the veg appt doing their thing.1 point

So this is what my current feminized run looks like. Plants between 3 and 5 weeks of flower. I have 3 different chocolope NL phenos, and Chocolope NL #1 is the pollen donor, her one branch was treated and the other left untreated with STS. Then there is an OKC, Slurricane, And Green Crack. Pollination has started. ...1 point

High guys Last year's Indoor growoff, in my opinion, went relatively well. It was ultimately plagued by a number of issues that prevented it from being a success though. With what we have learn't from last year's indoor growoff I'd like to get your guys input on how we can iron out the issues and get it to run more smoothly. I would really like to keep the growoffs going annually but the amount of effort that was put in wasn't matched by participation and co-operation. It takes a lot to organise a comp of this kind, if the amount of effort that is put in isn't matched by participation then it just isn't worth the effort. Here are my thoughts on what didn't go well last year: People mainly struggled to stay in line with the rules and procedure. With big sponsors on board we had to lay out a procedure and rules, some disagreed with it but I felt it was necessary nor difficult to follow. To those that participated, were the rules too difficult to follow? How can they be improved? There were 2 sponsors who did not honour their prizes. Green Leaf Organics went, and still is, AWOL. Then Sustainable Village SA did not honour their prize. The distribution of seeds actually didn't go too badly, I feel we executed it pretty well. On the other hand many of those who received the seeds didn't actually participate. It may be best if we allow a diversity of genetics but this immediately taints the legitimacy of the competition to some extent. I'm of the opinion that if we don't have the same cultivar, the growoff isn't worth it. I know that even with the same cultivar the variety of phenos can be diverse, especially with a cultivar that is not fully stabilized but it just keeps things fair. There are more points and I will add them in due course. The point is to get this discussion going in the mean time. Would love to hear input from you guys1 point

Haven't spotted any more nanners I took a couple more pics tonight to check out the trichomes again. These were the clearest out of all the pics. Couple ambers here and there I rate. I think I will at the very least be taking these girls to the end of this month. Pink Mango Gelato Skywalker OG1 point

Really dissapointed to hear people would actually take the piss like that - forum should create a blacklist of somekind for these dodgy bastards but i would agree that having a requirement of 3- 5 grows DOCUMENTED on forum is a good way to deter that kind of shady behaviour at least then one can be more certain that majority of entrants will participate & more likely to log diary/follow rules (or atleast have no excuse not to log diary/follow rules) & as a result would be less of an effort to regulate as everyone should have a good idea of what/what not to do1 point

Yeah both are definitely ladybugs so no need to worry there, they like the king of bugmunchers so If these critters aren't already in abundance id suggest planting a few companion plants nearby to encourage more of them that way you'll dont have to worry about bugs infesting your grow/munching leaves as they'll clear out anything smaller than themselves - Indoor growers with spider mites commonly let these guys loose in growroom1 point

i agree with @Dank it looks to me like some sort or lady bug, maybe one still developing its colours. At any rate, if its not making visible kak... then leave it be, it might be chowing the bugs that do cause kak1 point

Just did the first transplant now. Didn't go as smoothly as I wanted but I'm sure she'll be fine. These are under a 240W Quantum @ 50% 24/7, with two oscillating clip fans on either side alternating every 12 hours :)1 point

Reading through your post and thinking about it. it makes sense to have an entry fee. You get respect for it, I am talking about the people paying the entries. It can be used for the distribution costs, so you dont have suppliers letting you down. Free does not work, people dont respect free. Throw the entries into a kitty of sort and make the winnings bigger or lets donate that as a community to the Dagga Couple/ Fields of Green for All. Afterall they are the reason why we can grow in the first place. I dont think you should eliminate newbie growers, but of course they need to be active in the community. Just want to say keep it up. I won 3rd prize in a comp on here last year, never expected anything and received my prize very quickly. Great community!!1 point
