So I decided to grow some autos outdoors to replenish my stash while I mainline the Ethos ladies. I grabbed a 5 pack of Fastbud's C4 but lost 4 of the seedlings to heavy winds. The remaining survivor went in the cupboard to help her get established before facing the outdoor forces. I slowly introduced her to life beyond the wall till she started pushing pistils recently.3 points

Hello folks. I'd like to see if there are any other sativa/landrace/heirloom lovers here. The weed that sends your mind on a trip while leaving your body in tact and sometimes giving energy. For me this type of high has anti depressant qualities and soothing on my psyche over long time periods - my "medicine". This topic is for discussion of pure sativa and almost pure sativa, anything knowingly hybrid with indica or high CBD plants is off topic. CBD is the enemy of a trip high. Thin leafed sativa landraces or heirloom plants are found mostly in the equatorial regions of the world from around 15° north and south of the equator. Its also thought that high altitudes can play a part in evolving thin leaved plants. I have found from my personal travels in southern Africa that coastal humid areas seem to have more thin leafed plants than inland areas. Since I live in a humid area myself, its tough to try and grow the inland plants here out of their climate because they are susceptible to powdery mildew. The popular thin leaf growing regions of the world are best separated into large areas sharing similar plant traits for eg. Thailand/Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam plants are very similar and share many common traits. Mexico/Panama/Guatemala/Honduras plants also very similar. Going further south in the Americas to Peru/Columbia/Brazil you start to see the change to broader leaf plants but its hard to get good examples of plants from these regions because cartels have been importing genetics since the 70s. There are quite a few isolated Columbian sativa that are pure that people have managed to keep around, but in the case of Brazil, I have yet to see one legitimate landrace sativa from there and its all "Crip" basically landrace x modern stuff. I guess this wouldn't be complete without some pics of the skinny girls. Here are some pics from other sativa growers, some friends of mine, some not. I harvested the one outdoor Skywalker OG today. I discovered aphids doing their thing on some of the bottom buds. Luckily I had already let the medium dry out and had completed a 48 hour dark cycle as I was planning on harvesting it today anyways. Performed ye olde bud wash for the first time. Didn't feel to weird to do, especially knowing those aphids were about to eat schit.2 points

Cops will have a nightmare proving wet weight on your plants exceed (3-6kg wet) before your final 600g or 1.2kg dry weight, without tampering with your plants and infringing on your right to privacy.2 points

I'm doing my first autos outdoor currently. I may not be struggling with wind, but it is a bit chilly in the evenings. I myself am a bit worried they've been stunted a bit. Your plant looks lekker1 point

My first three plants are coming along well at the end of their second week. I am busy brewing the LABs and ordering buckets etc. Does anyone know where I can get 20 or 25 litre black buckets with lids in Cape Town that don't cost an arm and a leg? I am likely going to order from Jhb and ship because it appears that Jhb has more competitive prices. I'm making a banana tea for flower, and will feed with an SST kelp blend for veg. I'm getting excited to try all these yummy organics and see what results I get. The sun was out for a few days... nice.1 point

7 weeks in and we slowly nearing the last dash to bulk up hopefully. Girls are happy and the OKC is doing above my expectations. Feeding has been some Microbes, Fire Juice, K-POW and BIO-PHOS with rainwater in between. I'm feeding the above because it's the second grow I'm doing in this soil and don't want to find out girls was maybe missing some nutes. The feedings ain't that expensive when using minimal quantities anyway. Think il feed like this I'll mid week 8 and then they can look for what they need at the end and clean themselves up from the inside. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk1 point

A dehydrated leaf feels very thing and paper like, it will also tear pretty easily. A well hydrated leaf will feel very fleshy and lush... Feel the leaves just before you water and a few hours after, then you'll be able to feel the difference for yourself. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk1 point

Ladybugs and Praying mantises are nature's best predators against outdoor cannabis pests I feel. Spiders are also not bad but they weave webs on your tree. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk1 point

Mine is turning out quite okay, a bit bigger than I anticipated but it gives me some nice ideas for smaller spaces Maybe test your runoff bro... The curled leaves look to be indicative of a slight pH problem... I could be mistaken, but just check.1 point

A dehumidifier solved my problems and i haven't seen any PM in about a year now so i never tried hydroliq. Apparently the Americans found a cure for PM they call it a LAB solution. Have a look at this video apparently this solution eats PM and takes it away very quickly again i haven't tried it as i haven't had any PM recently1 point

please elaborate on this.. i am of the opinion that an auto is an auto and will not react to the hours of light it gets... it sprouts, it flowers, it dies.1 point

This little lady was my test subject, which I used to try out the germinating process and growing it before going out and buying seeds etc. I got lucky and it was a female (I think), but my other test subject turned out to be a male. So pulled that one out. She sprouted about the 7th of July, give or take. So she is about 9/10 weeks old. I know this isnt part of my official first grow plants, but if you can give any advice on her as well please Strain, it is either Kandy Kush or 24k Gold, not sure exactly as I didnt take notice which one was which when I planted them. So the one was the male which was pulled out1 point

Whatsup brothers An update on the grow. I think the seeds sprouted around the 27/28th of August, so the little girls are about 2 weeks old now going into their third week. The Platinum OG never made it through, so I only have the Banana Kush, Bruce Banner and Sunset Sherbet from this batch. Excuse the poor photography, hopefully I get better at it Banana Kush Bruce Banner Sunset Sherbet1 point

Nice thread @oldsandals ! Thanks a lot for sharing with the group. These kinds of strains hold a lot of potential, hope to see more growers preserving these old varieties with seed. Subscribed My most sativa strain is a hybrid Laos x Hawaiian - Hawaiian Snow Greenhouse Seeds1 point
