I have a 240W QB up for sale for R3750 - brand new, will save you even more money then. Budbox make great tents! Can't go wrong there. You can get something better for the same amount of money.5 points

Hey Guys, I decided to do a "Sober October" as my tolerance break (got the idea from the Joe Rogan Experience). So no smoking or drinking for this month for me... Was wondering, when did you take your last tolerance break and for how long did you go??4 points

Aight. Well, if you got R9999 to spend you could save another R800 and get a bigger 1.2x1.2x2 BudBox tent which will give you much more reflectivity from the walls and a 250W QB over the 110W QB. Then find yourself a 5" Prima Klima fan and a 5" filter if you need one. This setup would last you much much longer than the combo offered by Futurama. My opinion is that the Futurama combos are for people who are too lazy to source quality alternatives themselves.4 points

I only do/did tolerance breaks when I had to go on educational trips for work. I don't smoke a lot. 0.5-1 gram in the evening and sometimes a one hitter as wake and bake. I feel I don't really build up a tolerance that way. In the beginning of lockdown I started to smoke non-stop and pretty soon I just couldn't get the effect I was aiming for anymore. No matter how much I smoked/vaped. That's why I decided to get back to my regular program.3 points

Nice thread man! Very good idea, I wish I could pull a whole month. I get by with 2 days every now and then. Good luck with it bro! Will be good to hear a review on the first smoke after a whole month lol.3 points

Thanks for the help getting to this point everyone. Proper seeds are ordered and will be delivered soon. Following advice from @Prom I will start growing those at the end of this month. In the meantime I decided to pop some bag seeds to do a trial run. The plan is to grow them for a month in some homemade canna soil I found at nursery not far from my flat according to a google search. I put their details in my Post about Durban supplies. I'll attach a pic . Checked this morning and 3 had sprouted already. 1 had a taproot that was already around 1cm long. Maybe there is something to this full moon thing after all! Moved the 3 sprouts into a seedling tray and watered well. The other 3 are back on the modem. Little tray of joy Settling in on the windowsill till the weather settles2 points

So the indoor ones are at that age. ESP the one growing side shoots. Still no indication of sex so assuming girls The ones outdoor is taking a bit of a beating with the bugs chowing one and wind is pumping today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

I've left plants in 36+ hours of dark because of the very same reason. They'll be fine. The critical part of flower is not interrupting a dark phase. Ie. The dark phase must not be less than 12 hours.2 points

Ages ago, i find i generally build a tolerance to a specific strain as opposed to general THC tolerance as switching strains usually does the trick (especially noticed this in Canada) as ive found smoking the same strain daily for a 2 weeks + you'll notice your consumption slowly start going up on the second week (at $10-$15/gram one keeps meticulous track lol ) but switch strains every week and you getting more bang for buck & enjoying variety at the same time2 points

Hi dudes. I generally prefer day time smokes that give me some energy, make me chattier and dont make me sleepy. I dont dig smoke that gives me super dry mouth or red eyes. I am constantly in search of weed that will induce the giggles I got more often when I was younger, and more recently only with Very strong edibles. The kind of weed that you find yourself having cleaned the whole house, washed the car and bathed the dog before thinking... I was just having a cup of coffee on the couch, how did this happen?? [emoji1787][emoji1787] Any favourites among fellow forumites that may meet these criteria? Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk2 points

As a daytime smoke with a bussy feeling I enjoy Bubbelicious and Hermanus. Evening smoke.. Chicolate Kush and Black Domina. Both daytime and nightime I enjoy Bubbleberry Glue and bubbleberry reg. Depending on what you do. This will differ from person to person. If you bussy.. the chocolate cush will keep you bussy but wance you put your ass on the couch it just might grow roots.2 points

Took a mandatory 2 mnth break from March this year for work medicals, only to get hit with Covid. Medicals got postponed to July, all told 5mnths break. Was not very lekker.... Didn't stop growing though and the comeback was epic.2 points

Why do you wrap the tap half of the pots? Help retain water? Plants will always only take what they need, in hydro the nutrients are just more readily available to the plant. In soil this is not the case. A bit late now, you want to do this earlier on. The way you train and work with your plants, will also determine the outcome. I find cleaning up a plant heavily underneath where light ill be limited will ensure more energy is put into the remaining bud sites and you then can end up with larger bud. Strain will obviously play a role too. Also pot size could be a limiting factor. Try with a 20L pot next time.2 points

I dont have the will power. Last time I stopped was a year back for a week, was in DRC and couldn't find any green.2 points

Just be careful not to take off too many leaves. Looking again, and it doesn't seem too bushy anyway. maybe even leave it be.2 points
-
I would not suggest doing anything drastic this far in, however, the plants look super healthy and if I didn't know they were 9 weeks in I would think they right on track. So I would say maybe doing a partial clean up of the bottom fan leaves, and all fan leaves covering buds for better light exposure, then a lot more patience. maybe about 3 weeks more patience... that and beef up feeding as well.2 points
-
Hi, I mainline my plants always and never used another medium than soil. You'll be fine. Keep in mind that your plants generally grow faster in hydro as you're kind of force feeding your plant whereas in soil your plants take only what they need and therefore grow a bit slower.2 points

The time it's gonna take to reveg properly will disappoint you lol... The plant won't flower well if you keep them that small as well... Advice is to let them reveg and let them get bigger... As well as try separate the plants, each into their own pots.2 points
-
Leave the thread, no need to delete it. It's a source of information for others. I generally let the plants veg and settle after a transplant, before I flip to flower. I'm not actually sure how much the roots will grow and recover now with the plant revegging and going straight back into flower. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

Sadly I wouldn't even be done with the testing phase(starting in November) of my new crosses by then. Even my choco NL f5 run is only half way. Only the female has been selected. I'm yet to select my male, and that's only happening in January or February. For an indoor growoff next year around March, I could definately provide seeds.2 points

@felix2000 Not an 'official' one but i guess I could create one for the siamese twin seeing as its showing signs of being female already i won't have to worry about the pulling it out a week from now & abruptly ending the diary. But been thinking maybe it better to do one grow diary for whole garden and highlight different training methods etc etc Last night started working on training one plant to grow in a spiral formation with wire ties so far got it bent about 45deg at first node & second nodes, busy shaping 3rd & gonna keep offsetting each node at 45deg from the last forming a spiral ladder/spring shape as its grows, hope it works out like I have in mind, besides looking f%&king sick the shape will allow for light to penetrate everywhere without having to defoliate (I think)2 points

Hey all Finally got my beans in the ground. My goals are are potency, flavour and yield and my setup is as follows: Outdoor on my balcony Strains - all Dutch Passion and bought from Trophy Seeds. 2 x Auto Blueberry 1 x Auto Orange 1 x Auto Daquiri Lime Medium: Freedom Farms Premier Organic Mix - the green bag Pots - 7 gallon Grow Guru fabric pots Nutes: Full Biobizz Line All seeds were germinated using the cotton pad method. One of the Blueberries took some time to show a root and it's currently in it's pot. I'm still waiting for it to break soil. I'm just misting with water and I've added about 2,5 ml of coconut water to the mix. Day One - 27 September 2020 Cheers1 point

Hi, I have mainlined a Kush x Cheese grow in Freedom Farms soil using a 10l pot. I have been feeding it nutrients on a weekly feeding schedule but am finding that the buds are just not getting all that dense. Attached are some pictures from it currently at 9 weeks of flowering. Would mainlining a soil grow hinder the plants growth at all? Or does it look fine and maybe it's just genetics? I have a Sour Diesel grow in the tent with it that was only topped and it looks to be fattening up quite well. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk1 point

What area are u in? We could reccomend grow shops in the area. Maybe u could do some shopping at the shops for the individual items.1 point

That's interesting to me and I think about trying that this grow. But they also only sow the plastic lining into the top half of the pot right? Otherwise it would kind of defeat the purpose.1 point

I can always recommend Inzane in the membrane. But I always get red eyes when consumed enough. No matter which strain I use.1 point

So I agree with what most of you are saying here, but I think the common thread is that everyone is different. I have a mate who is notoriously bad on cannabis. It just affects him the wrong way. And recently I convinced him to try some edibles, but being the big guy he is I opted to give him a 10mg dose over 2.5 or 5...and well it still didn't sit well with him. Eish! So it can often also just be down to the person. But I also feel like smoking it would be better in terms of the effects coming on. And for them to apply the same concept as edibles (just shorter). i.e. have a few puffs, give it 10-30min and then see how you feel and then you can always do more. I feel like that is more reliable than edibles for the first time where it can take hours based on numerous factors.1 point

Thanks! I did defoliate before flowering and 3 weeks in. I'll leave it be then Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk1 point

I dont think you will change much about the plant at this stage. Bigger bags and wrapping the top half of your fabric pots with cling film seems to be the answer for me.1 point

Thanks bro, I really appreciate it. I haven't paid them a visit in like a month but I'm gonna go there real soon, will let you guys know if there's anything worth telling you about. Would be dope to have somewhere to buy seeds without having to pay delivery fees [emoji23] Yeah one day bro. These pro lighting rigs are starting to get into the price range of cars[emoji85] I should have mentioned that they're tucked in the side there, that was my bad.. I actually spotted it just driving pass the area one afternoon and decided to stop there... The guys thought I came to ask if they sold weed [emoji23] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk1 point

Legend Ultimate Noob. A quick glance at their site seems to show them having all I need more or less. Doesn't matter to me where I get it from if the prices are right (they seem fair at first glance) so will gladly visit and mention you. Will be in a week or 3 as I finalise my shopping list. Thanks for the recommendation!1 point
