  1. I have a lot of loose seeds from over the few years plus a handful of seeds that I recently purchased off BnB. I am going to germinate all 15 of them and take the 12 best looking ones [or at least the 12 that survive] and pop them into 20L fabric pots with Gold Label 70/30 Coco/Perlite that I just recently discovered. The strains going into the gauntlet are: Zkittlez x Purple Punch - Ripper Seeds x3 Criminal+ - Ripper Seeds x3 Royal Gorilla - Royal Queen Seeds x1 Aurora Indica - Nirvana Seeds x4 Jock Horror - Nirvana Seeds x2 Grand Daddy Purple - Green Smoke Room Seeds x2 Seed drop 2 October 2020 Light cycle flip 17 November 2020 Harvest dates: 1x Criminal +: 14 January 2021 1 x Grand Daddy Purple: 14 January 2021 Everything else: 17-18 January 2021 Flowering times will not be a concern as I have a spare tent that will be used just as a drying tent. I also don't plan on cloning anything yet. When I am done with this bunch I want to decide on a regular seed strain, find a mother and really dedicate to that strain for a while, whatever it may be. So far we got some live ones popping up, the first 12 at least.. I'll update again when I've chosen and potted the Mighty 12.

  2. Today my three Transkei origin plants went into their specially prepared holes in the ground. Their roots look fabulous and they went in intact and now look as happy as can be. My mystery purple plant is in a pot and has healthy cotyledons. I have set three more seeds to germinate. They are special phenos from a homey. Two are Durban landrace origin plants with different parentage and geographic origin. The third is a proper heirloom Transkei landrace seed. These three will also go into the ground when they are ready. Pictured here is my first ever batch of bacteria juice; then Holly, Molly and Polly in their new homes. I ended up getting the buckets from Mambos. The price was under R50 each which was what I was after. Alfalfa seeds (untreated, from Agricol) are ready for me to make my first batch of SST, but I will do that once the new seeds are in the ground too. For now I will just water the plants that are in the ground with tap water because the tank water is finished. They have plenty of living nutrition in their holes.

  3. Another update on my lady! She stretched quite abit this last week and the pistols are starting to push longer. I decided to do some LST to try and get the most out of this lady given the slow start and conditions. She looks promising!

  4. This is gonna be cool to follow! I enjoy the indigenous natural vibes going on here. In the earth as plants were intended. Local origin plants. And then a little science to spice it up and make the whole thing pop. Kudos. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

  5. Hey bru It wasn't rock hard dense but still pretty decent. What I did for the soil was I lightly dropped each pot a few times and added about 2 handfuls of living soil to each. Then i did exactly that...slowly watered. After about a week or so, they were fine. Harvest day for the cocopopo auto and gelato samba auto is today. I'll upload some pics after the chop. They're jut finishing their dark period. I germinated 2 Quarter Pounder Autos and planted them on Sunday. Also using living soil medium. I'll start a new diary for those girls The last picture is of the previous harvest.

  6. Now the humidity sensor kicks the fan on at the set range. At the moment I set it to 73 just before lights goes of, and when lights go on I set it at 53 again. I know the 73 sounds hight but if I put it any lower it drops temp to 12-18 when lights are of. Got to work with what I have. [emoji23] Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  7. @Slartibarfast keep in mind that the ambient humidity will be the lowest you will achieve in your tent. If you want it lower, the only way is with a dehumidifier. So best is to monitor the ambient RH of the room and perhaps even the house, then you know how far off the RH in the tent is compared to the room / house. Increasing the amount of air moving through the tent will help get rid of excess humidity in the tent. Any lower than the ambient humidity, you'd need a dehumidifier. I have decided to just stick it out and go with the flow as I do not really want to run a dehumidifier, so sometimes humidity is high during flower - just monitor for PM or spray something to help prevent PM from occurring.

  9. Sunday was one week for the trio. Fed one litre water with 1ml each of Root Juice, Acti Vera and Bio Heaven and Kelpack to each plant. Will water one litre water with 15ml coconut water to each this evening. Here's this morning's group shot. And individual shots. Blueberry #2 - The laggard Dashiki - My Daiquiri Lime Queen And finally, Agent Orange, my auto Orange baby! Feedback much appreciated.

  10. So this plant came up by itself on the site of last year's sativa grow. Some type of hybrid, the leaves are massive and the stem is thick and soft. I didn't get the stem in the pic but you can see the leaves compared with a more normal specimen next to it. So what kind of bush might this be? I'm thinking is letting it mature just to see what happens.

  12. My fan only worked on a temp sensor, at night after lights of the fan only came on a few times as heater took time to heat up the space. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  13. This winter run I added a humidity sensor to my exhaust fan and it's the first time I had no PM, looks like the humidity spiked when lights went of in the past and then my temp/exhaust fan didn't suck it out and it created a perfect inviorment for PM. That Sonoff sensors are just over R200 if I remember correctly. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  14. Yessir, will be using the GHE tripart along with that Gold Label coco/perlite mix. First round with the new coco I won't be adding anything else. Gotta establish some kind of baseline if this medium is good and I want to go for it again

  15. Nice, keen to see how the grow goes and how you find the coco. GHE tri part nutrients?

  20. Nice grow so far. Also thinking of adding more light to my grow. Will start with one QB75 and eventually get to 3. Should be a nice spread and wattage for my tent. Re the dry dry soil. What was said earlier is correct, if its super dry then it struggles to retain and all the water runs through. So what I like to do then, is water (say if you usually water 3 litres) 0.5 litres at a time, every 5-10 min till all 3l are done. That way you are slowly saturating the soil and you will come right. I have found with a lot of mediums if you just chuck it in, you almost see the soil 'avoid' the water like that special hydrophobic material or whatever it is you get. Good luck with the rest, looking forward to seeing more. From the plant you already harvested, how dense were the nugs? Looked like a lot of bud. My grow is also nearing the end. Not tooo much bud, but dense as lead.

Doing abit of every thing and learn from it. The below pic I topped about a week + ago and it levelled out with the surrounding colas Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk
