Hey! I believe from our dispatch team that those freebies should be autos either way, it's only a matter of whether it's the one auto or the other5 points

Happy days. Happy days. Got a free seed! Little confused about it though lol. Seems to be either an Amnesia Haze Auto or an AK77V. So either an auto or not an auto [emoji848] that could produce a small challenge trying to decide how to grow it [emoji23][emoji23] Both strains look mad though, keen either way [emoji1786][emoji1786] Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk4 points

Very nice @Stinger96, do u know what strain they are, virginia or burley? @Totemic is spot on with the conditions they need. When tobacco is cured it can also be slightly roasted, or soaked in Rum, then dried and roasted slightly. First time i just used the dried leaves until somebody gave me some pointers about roasting leaves slightly. Soaked in some Alchohol and its possible to make homemade blunt wraps, trick is to let em dry out a bit but not all the way after soaking.4 points

Leaves are harvested bottom up as they become chlorotic. As in when they go yellow. I dry my leaves in the garage, hanging. After they are dry, they need a curing process just like our favorite flower.4 points

My mate puts a blanket in his tent, wets it down and puts his pots on crates on top of the blanket. He swears by it.3 points

Yeah, get them in the ground. Full sun. Very little to no nutrients. Water often, daily or every second day depending. Basically keep soil moist. If you want seeds then let the flowers grow until the seed stalks dry out. But if it's for the leaf, then you need to pluck off the developing flower stalks on the sides and top. Removing flowers will give you massive leaves. Leaving the flowers to develop the leaves are way smaller.2 points

I have a lot of loose seeds from over the few years plus a handful of seeds that I recently purchased off BnB. I am going to germinate all 15 of them and take the 12 best looking ones [or at least the 12 that survive] and pop them into 20L fabric pots with Gold Label 70/30 Coco/Perlite that I just recently discovered. The strains going into the gauntlet are: Zkittlez x Purple Punch - Ripper Seeds x3 Criminal+ - Ripper Seeds x3 Royal Gorilla - Royal Queen Seeds x1 Aurora Indica - Nirvana Seeds x4 Jock Horror - Nirvana Seeds x2 Grand Daddy Purple - Green Smoke Room Seeds x2 Seed drop 2 October 2020 Light cycle flip 17 November 2020 Harvest dates: 1x Criminal +: 14 January 2021 1 x Grand Daddy Purple: 14 January 2021 Everything else: 17-18 January 2021 Flowering times will not be a concern as I have a spare tent that will be used just as a drying tent. I also don't plan on cloning anything yet. When I am done with this bunch I want to decide on a regular seed strain, find a mother and really dedicate to that strain for a while, whatever it may be. So far we got some live ones popping up, the first 12 at least.. I'll update again when I've chosen and potted the Mighty 12.1 point

Yo, so I recently started my first indoor grow. I never had humidity problems when I was testing on bag seeds but since I started my first proper indoor grow(exact same setup as the test) my humidity had been between 35 and 40. What can I do to increase humidity without buying a Humidifier?1 point
-
Awesome! Have visited their store many times and have never been dissapointed.1 point

I have been experiencing the opposite issue. If the grow space is fairly small you can try putting a wet small towel in the grow space, that helped me increase humidity on a previous grow. I am sure some other members will have more sophisticated methods of achieving this [emoji14] Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk1 point

Funnily enough I've recently switched to tap water. (I leave the bottle open for 24hrs, apparently it helps evaporate excess chlorine, then again, maybe it does nothing)1 point

Thanks man! waiting another 2 weeks at least till the smoke test lol... but I have fun during the burping1 point

Hey Bud's, hope you all had a good weekend. Bit on the lazy side here but any update on the ACDC 50w plus spot lights. Anyone have current prices as I'm looking at setting up a dedicated area in the garage for veg. Area will be open as such but mouse proofed ish'ish, no poison. Resident owls have preference on the reservation. Saying that, so does the mole tearing up my small lawn patch. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk1 point

Generally its always cheaper to do something yourself. You pay for the convenience. Want to service your car, the parts are only part of the cost. The labour is the rest and if you're doing it at the stealerships they charge a hefty price per hour. Same applies to food, growing it yourself is a fraction of the cost to buying it in the shops. Coco is no different. Hydrating the coco, washing it and buffering it and mixing it with perlite is quite a mission and a hassle for sure. So naturally buying it ready in a bag will come at a premium price. As for it being less than R70, depends where you are sourcing it all from but a 5KG brick expands to around 60L roughly and those sell for over R70 for a decent quality brick. Plus you gotta mix in some perlite. So overall you could get what's in the bag for less, but I do feel it the raw materials would cost you more - unless of course you are bringing it into SA in bulk yourself. The pricing on the coco and perlite is similar to the pricing on the soil people sell. R180 for 30L of soil vs R350 for 60L of coco & perlite, which works out to R175 for 30L of coco & perlite. When you think about it, soil is dirt and some amendments.1 point
