  1. Thanks guys. TerpLoc Bags are available here, but if you're going to order other things from Hydroponic.co.za then throw the TerpLoc bags in and spread the love. If your local grow shop doesn't have them, ask them to get in touch.

  2. We did a test with some hygrometers and they work exactly as advertised. Not always the case in this industry. Other great benefits are stealth due to being odour free and terpene preservation from being air and light tight. Anti-static properties prevents trichome loss. Does not require humidipacks. The list goes on. Gave away our jars since we started using TerpLoc Bags.

  7. Greetings Weed Lovers! Wow time really does fly. I will do an update over the weekend. Managed to get them all to the end with no major problems. This was my best harvest personally, not quantity but definitely quality. A lil sneek peak Rock hard nugs, pungent deliciousness, sticky icky goodness.

  8. Hey Fellow Growers, I've started a new grow recently and I'll be posted updates here. 2x Quarter Pounder Autos (3 day germination, planted 4/10/2020) 1x Slurricane clone (Not sure about the age) Not yet added: 2x Do-si-dos photoperiod (I'll germinate these when the autos go into flower so that I can flip them after I harvest the autos) Lighting - 130 watt LED quantum board 3500k from @growopz . I'll add my QB75 when they start to flower. Medium - Orgasoilux organic living earth blend. Nutes - Biobizz grow, seagro, molasses, biobizz bloom.

  9. @zolrooker They had a big shock when i transfered them to soil. Still stunted but at least all 5 alive. After the heavy rain last weekend im having ph problems and a few lockouts outdoor. The Dr grinspoon looks weird and hardly has any bud, but its loaded with seeds. Should make interesting crosses. Everything is pollinated.

  10. Yep exactly! I've already learnt so much from this grow, can't wait to see my results and see how the next grows turn out

  11. I have tried some of the 14g and 28g bags and they do work. I placed some very dry bud in a bag and after a day it wasn't that dry. They do work but find some of the zip locks on 1 or 2 bags are not as effective. The price is really good and was my deciding factor to try it out, cheaper than a Boveda and Glass Jar.

  13. So 22 days in I am very happy with the growth. But I am starting to see some issues with my wedding gelato. Not sure whether it is wind burn or the fact that I didn't PH balance my water for the first couple of feeds? I have started feeding Worm Juice with Calmag and slight molasses with a PH range between 6.3 and 6.7. Within the next week I will consider topping some of the ladies to start the mainline training. Franco's lemon cheese was killed in action - RIP so Chocolate Haze will fill that void. One day I will do a K.I.A run for all those ladies that didn't pull through on germination. 14. Hi folks. So I've been following the forum and learnt a lot from fellow growers. This will be my second indoor run so I thought I might as well start a little grow diary. I have a thing for running different strains and trying to experience some of the fire genetics on offer. So in this cycle I will be running the following: Wedding Gelato - Royal Queen Seeds Purple Queen - Royal Queen Seeds Upper Cut - Oni Seeds Glookies - Barney's Farm Old School - Ripper Seeds Franco's Lemon Cheese - GHSC Chocolate Haze - Royal Queen Seeds *(Back up)* I started germination on the 19th of September with all 6 feminised seeds going straight into peat pellets. No water or wet paper towels for me, I have had 100% germination success with seeds straight into pellets. For some reason I feel handling the seed less during germination might be better. That being said... during the transplant from pellet to pot I accidentally broke the tap root of the Franco's lemon cheese in half.. It seems like the lady started growing sideways and when I removed the pellet from the tray the tap root snapped in half with that said a Chocolate Haze went into a peat pellet as reserve and I transplanted the broken Franco's with the hope of recovery. To my surprise Franco's started growing a new tap root without any cotelydon showing yet. So nursing her back to health now. I cut of the gaas from the peat pellets before transplanting to the final pot as I feel some of the gaas might stunt root growth by not allowing easy penetration through the meshy material. So today will be day 9 since germination and I am seeing some nice 2nd set of leaves developing. I also did a soil tup up today to get some of that stem shooting some extra roots. I will be running a full mainline training exercise in 20l pots on all the ladies bar those that might not like the High Stress Training so much. Looking forward to sharing the experience and getting some experienced growers to impart some knowledge. 19th September 23rd September 28 September

  15. Hi guys. Im n new grower and started off from seeds i bought online. I needs some help and advice. Ive been going for about week and a half. But its seem like its going slow... im using a 600w HPS light with humidifier and regular watering. Seedlings are about 3-5cm high now. Is it going good or to slow( day 9)?

  16. Looks like a female straight onto training. How far along not sure not keeping track but planning on potting up to 40L soon and putting her in a partial greenhouse space I managed to put together. Also planning on working with this potted soil throughout the season. So let’s see how the first plant does...

  19. No smell at all. Completely discreet.

  20. @Aeradix Ahh nice! Now how well does it work in terms of containing smell? If you leave a bag with 50g of some strong smelling bud inside your car on a hot day and come back to your car 2 or 3 hours later... Will it really not smell at all like weed? I know if I even take 2 or 3g in a small ziplock and put it in my car, go to the shops before stopping at a friends place ... the car smells pretty dank. Keeping jars with boveda in a cupboard, you open the cupboard and you can smell its a bit funky. Similar case with these bags or does it really not leak smell at all?

  21. They do regulate both ways, but if you're in an extremely dry area this will be limited and a humidipak will help. Below is another nice picture showing the benefits.

  22. yup, @FreesoulGP, looks like you are indeed in the harvest window. the trichomes look milky to me so you should have a decent smoke if you chop now. Do yourself a favour though and try get something that you can get a closer up view of the trichomes for much easier identification. i have found that harvesting with little amber results in a smoke i am not entirely happy with. it is euphoric, but doesnt hit my quota of stoooooned that i like. so maybe if you like a bit of a stone to your high, hang off another week and see how it looks i used to aim for 10% amber, but now i like it a bit higher, 20% is good for my taste

  23. very good month guys! congrats to the winners and thanks to all those who entered!

  24. This is a good sign that you're near harvest, although keep in mind some strains will just keep doing this over and over and at some point you will just need to decide to cut. From your pictures I'd say you're in the harvest window, and with your desire to harvest at peak THC (for a more euphoric effect, as you say) I'd say you're good to go if you would like to harvest.

  25. I have found with my Virginia that the lower bigger leaves have a higher sugar and lower nicotine content when I harvest them yellow. Very much cigarette tobacco. The smaller top leaves are usually still quite a bit greener, and cure to that cigar taste without any roasting, just a dry and bag cure.

  26. Yeah, get them in the ground. Full sun. Very little to no nutrients. Water often, daily or every second day depending. Basically keep soil moist. If you want seeds then let the flowers grow until the seed stalks dry out. But if it's for the leaf, then you need to pluck off the developing flower stalks on the sides and top. Removing flowers will give you massive leaves. Leaving the flowers to develop the leaves are way smaller.

  28. So we are 15 days in since the 6 seeds were dropped in peat pellets. All the ladies are rooting very nicely. Franco's lemon cheese is almost there but not sure whether this shock early on will stunt the rest of her growth? The back up Chocolate Haze germinated successfully and was transplanted during the week. Still just sticking to very light watering every 2nd or 3rd odd day. Hoping the inherent nutes in the soil will last for 3 to 4 odd weeks. Stand out lady is already identified as Glookies. Super fast growth and very very tight node spacing. 29. Good decision on cutting the gause.

  30. Is that plant seeded? To me it looks as if it could possibly still fatten up a bit - although always harvest based on the trichomes and their colouring. That is how you tell how ripe / mature it is.

  31. update on my grow...all doing well. Autoflower almost ready for chopping. Think another week maybe? Fan leaves starting to go yellow....mus i chopp it when its fully yellow? Or when all the trichomes are brownish?

  32. Coming together slowly. I'm now stuck on the ventilation component, but I have time this afternoon to do some reading. If any of you have a good link or two to share, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks for all the assistance and advice so far! This community is very different to the 'various FB pages I look at.

  33. For awesome grow results. Try a very diluted seagrow foliar feeding but only between 7 to 10 am and then after 5 pm. As the receptors underneath the leaves are then open to take in nutrients And try burning a small candle near your plants . The candle produces Co2 which the plants love. But please dont put the candle too near the plants. The heat may scorche them. I had a 7 cm grow for a week. Where i normally avriaged on a 3 cm grow. Try and see the improvement Sent from my SM-A700F using Tapatalk

  35. Hi guys just an update on my plants. I had an additional led light....but seem to burn my leaves and then i switched it off. My autoflower(northen lights) flowering looks good. Think about 2.5weeks in

  36. Thanks for the info. Theres other guys that said i must go lower than 1000w.... soo jaaa its a bit confusing thats i used ma the inbetween 600w MH lamp and then HPS for flowering.... Havent heard of quantum boards yet...will do a bit of google on those

  37. Update on my seedlings. Its day 17 now. Its still seems like my seedlings are slow. I transplanted some of them into a better mix. Mixed 50/50 seedling mix with pertile. Only transplanted half of them so see whats the difference. I took pictures on past sunday. Seems like the ground is drying out to quick now! Pushed my finger deep but barly felt moisture. Watered the previous day..... I dont know what can be the fault. Humidity-40-60%, temp 21-27C , have a fan thats runnig for fresh air. Light is on a 18 hour shift 6 dark. Hp levels say between 6 and 7. The ones without the pertile mix looks healthier Can someone assist please?

  39. Im using seedling mix that i bought. I did buy pertile for my next batch. What type of medium must i use to get ultimate growth? I have one auto strain....the other 3 swazi gold....dont know if its auto or photo...
    1 point
  40. Yikes, yeah those pots are too big, too wet, and the medium isn't superb.

  41. Are they auto strains or photo?... Also, I would suggest to mix in some Perlite if you plan on using the same type of medium for your next grow Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  42. Okay.....i went back to my lighting and yes MH is currently runnig. So my mind was confused.... Im useing seedling mix i got from the nursery where i planted them in thats mixed with another type of potting material( very fine and fluffy). Didnt use small pot bags....planted them straight in big ones. They do have drainage holes I am also only watering them when they get littlw dry ontop. And then use the misting spray for inbetween. I have a humidifier running that brings the humidity up to 70%. But it fluctuate between 30 to 70.... I dont have a grow tent. Made a diy setup hahahaha

  43. It's the other way around actually hehe. MH for veg because of the 6000k colour And HPS is for flower for the very orange red 2700k light Good for having both bru!!
    1 point
  44. Okay thank you for the assistance. I do have the MH bulb also. On the internet they say the MH must be used for flowering stage....thats why i have the HPS bulb on currently. The other thing is i did keep the light on 24hours but someone said i must do 18hours light and 6 hours darkness. I will def top the swazi when its got a bit bigger
    1 point
  45. That's fine for distance. Try getting your night-time temps up in the 20's during veg. If you're not worried about electricity costs, you can tune your lights to 24hrs in veg to help with the temps. Also, patience. The seedlings are probably working on their roots when you don't see much leaf development, then all of a sudden you see a boom in growth. Just keep them happy for now, definitely get those night temps up for now. I also assume you know a 600W HPS isn't the best for veg but if you need one bulb for a whole grow a 600W HPS will do it. Just beware you may have stretchy plants in veg by using the HPS bulb. MH bulbs keep the plants nice and short. Swazi is a sativa so it's already a stretchy plant by nature, so you will definitely have to top or something to tame her indoors.

  46. Its about 1m high to 1.2m high. The temp ranges from 17 at night when light is off to 25 when loght is runnig full day. Currently i have swazi gold ( 3 seeds) and 1 Elixir CBD Auto.....
