@wanna be dagga kop it really is not difficult to buffer coco. Perhaps I will put together a tutorial sometime with pictures - however when using coco you do need a decent PH pen. Will see if I can get a tutorial put up early November when I have a bit of time and am buffering some more coco.3 points

I just planted a fastbuds blackberry seed in a 20l Freedom Pot. This will be my first grow. I have access to both compost and worm castings so I decided to just try make my own soil from the get go. I went for a mixture of compost (there were definitely worms in the compost)and a half cup of worm castings for the bottom third of the pot, then I mixed compost and garden soil for about half the volume of the pot and I topped it off with 2 cm of sifted garden soil for the seedling to grow in. I dropped the seed in water over night and planted it as soon as the seed cracked. I've given it half a cup of water (the soil was still a bit moist) now I am just waiting for it to sprout. Temperatures at night is seldom less than 15 degrees and I bring it inside in the evening anyway. During the day (25 degrees today) I have it standing out in the sun in the morning. I'm hoping my soil isn't too rich for the young auto. I'll post some photo's if/when it sprouts.2 points

It is day 52 now. She would look pretty similar still if I were to let her finish, but I'm after the mature seeds. There will be practically nothing left of the flowers to smoke so no point pushing until trichomes are ready.2 points

Hey all Finally got my beans in the ground. My goals are are potency, flavour and yield and my setup is as follows: Outdoor on my balcony Strains - all Dutch Passion and bought from Trophy Seeds. 2 x Auto Blueberry 1 x Auto Orange 1 x Auto Daquiri Lime Medium: Freedom Farms Premier Organic Mix - the green bag Pots - 7 gallon Grow Guru fabric pots Nutes: Full Biobizz Line All seeds were germinated using the cotton pad method. One of the Blueberries took some time to show a root and it's currently in it's pot. I'm still waiting for it to break soil. I'm just misting with water and I've added about 2,5 ml of coconut water to the mix. Day One - 27 September 2020 Cheers1 point

I have a request for some help. Posting pics from my phone can potentially give away my location. I don't wish to drop a pin, on my grow show. How do i remove the exif file with the gps co-ordinates? Any help or ideas will be appreciated.1 point

Update before harvest! Week 10 day 4 Thrichome's half clear half milky, I decreased the light intensity, stopped watering and turned temp controller down to 23 degrees soooo let's hope it speeds it up [emoji2369]. Second run in the same soil with minimum amendments added was cost effective but also looks like the soil was a bit better. I'm not going to do a third grow in the same soil although I think it might work. Next batch of soil has been cooling for 3 weeks and should be ready to go. Must say I'm impressed with the Living Organics soil method, it was just a bit easier than bottled nutes (I'm not dishing bottled nutes) and il stick to soil for now. Hope you guys enjoyed the grow and will update as I harvest and final yield. [emoji120] Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk1 point

Bought a quality 4 light COB from Grow Guru a couple years back, one of the COBs stopped working. GG gladly honored the warranty and organized courier for replacement parts.1 point

The basic idea is to let your coco soak in the calmag solution for a few hours and then you give it a rinse or two and it’s ready Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Hey all, Here's an update on the grow. I attempted to FIM and play around with super cropping on the slurricane clone. I've only used LST before on my autos. But I'm really happy with how well she responded. Her last feed was on Friday 16 Oct which is the same day I fimmed and pinched. I just gave her a light dosage of seagro. Quarter Pounder Autos are at day 16 since being planted. A little stretch on the 1. But I'll keep a close watch. I'll most likely start some LST on the autos next week or this weekend.1 point

Thanks for this, I'm currently putting together a shopping cart for my next 3 auto grows.1 point

Spotted a seed sticking out a bud on my 90ltr Tub (dad is unimpressed with the 'immaculate conception') seed was still greyish around the edges &brown in centre but no 'tiger stripes' so gonna leave it another week Was wondering since I'm so close to harvest should I still bother with taking her to dark room daily? Im not gonna chop her completely, gonna let it regrow so maybe getting it ready to reveg not a bad idea? I'm not sure - any opinions anyone?1 point

Trust me you won't be dissapointed with this strain, you can go ahead and order more seeds so long cause you gonna want more. If you end up enjoying this take it a step further and grab Black Diamond, its insane!1 point

***Links Removed*** I was gonna upload but some files are 50mb+ so heres the links go bos First one is just pdf's, second is everything on tpb Dvd wise ultimate grow from jorge cervantes is good - get all 3 parts - 1st part is indoor 2nd outdoor 3rd is bonus with extra tips and fooling around On YouTube search "I grow chronic" and look for a dude with a greenface in sunglasses rocking a khaki 'brakpan' hat - seemorebuds is also great1 point

Yeah then you should be good, will post those PDFs in a bit1 point

@Psylecta I'm definitely keen on learning though, I got the biobizz nutes so I might as well use that instead of buying the premix organic soil1 point

Problems to try identify: 1. pH of the water or water+nutes is within 5.8 - 6.8 (ideal around 6.4 for soil), and run off is similar. 2. Three days after watering the bottom of the pots is dry. If this is the case then your mix is not holding too much water. 3. You are providing all the nutrients required. You have a good compost or earth worm castings for organic or you are using bottled salt nutrients that cover all the nutrient requirements. 4. Temperature is within 18C - 30C. 5. VPD is within limits, if you don't know what VPD is then google please. 6. You have no known pests in the area. Broad mites and other microscopic pests are sometimes a problem on stalled plants. Each type of infestation leaves tell tale signs. 17 days after sprouting you should have a plant around 15 - 20cm high unless there are problems.1 point

Eish dude I think you the only one who knew what it is lol everyone asks me wtf does Q9550 mean hahahaha Mine still works as well even still have the nVidea 9600GT Alpha Dog graphics card I purchased with it. At the time it was a good setup. The machine even came with a free 24inch Samsung led screen which I also still have lol1 point

Lol Yeah that's the not so fun part, you just don't know what you are growing. Its kinda aimed towards the people getting into growing who want to move away from bag seed and doesn't want to spend a lot of money on fancy genetics. The guy even says in the description don't ask what the are just enjoy the deal hahahaha. That's an amazing price for 5 seeds so I don't mind not knowing what they are as long as the bud looks good. There are quite a few seeds on his website with names as well lol so you can also check what you like. No breeder information but again at the prices his got them for I can let it slide. I assume his getting it from bulkd seed bank or similar.1 point

That's what I do yeah. Dry the bud out completely and sift the lot. The flower that does remain will become canna butter or oil.1 point
-
Yeah it is going to be interesting to sift through the F1s. The plants are very different to one another. The choc gelato has a larger trichome structure, while the sluri trichomes are smaller, on longer stalks, and packed in tight. The sluri is super stretchy, while the choc gelato is a short indica, with way tighter noding. Here is the choc gelato female currently still in flower, but cant take it on face value, as this new cross is a poly hybrid cross... Chocolope x gelato 33 x slurricane My goals here are to find that pheno that yields like the chocolope, frosty like the slurricane, and the terpene profile of the gelato...super tall order, but the fun is in that hunt.1 point
-
Yeah, that's why I decided to chop her. She's starting to spew seeds everywhere. It was a Chocolate Gelato male1 point

Looking beautiful man So was that a 64 day flower for Slurricane? Your leaf colour and structure still looks insane so late into flower. Your shits dialed in man!!!1 point

That is pretty small and slow in terms of growth. Being an auto, I would cut my losses and start over to be honest - the yield you would get from that would be teeny tiny. You may not even get enough for a single bowl at this point. Is the plant in a tent or open area? Humidity can be kept high by placing a plastic bottle over the plant when its small if the humidity is very low.1 point

Day 38 and 26 for#4. Still the same routine as far as watering and yard time goes. Water when thirsty and outdoors as often as possible. Back left, middle right and bottom left are #1, #3 and #4. Still no sex showing unless I missed something and 1 and 3 are female. They are on 12/12 now if they want to share the cabinet with my Jack Berry (centre) and Strawberry Cheesecake (back right). I stopped the LST very fast. Let sleeping dogs lie for now, only my 2nd indoor grow and I want to play around with autos!! #4 has been left to do it's own thing and looking good. I planted the last 2 seeds, once again thanks @Bay Seeds. This time: into water for just under 36 hours (I wait until seed drops to bottom of glass), onto soil in 10l pot and covered with mainly coir. 3 and 4 days later broke soil. 5 out of 6 not bad considering I probably FCUK'd up #2 myself using the paper towel method. Non the less, I'm happy. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk1 point

Keep the youngsters on the wet side. To much would be a standing water swamp... give a few ml a day. Put a moisture dome over to keep humidity high and prevent total dry out of the top soil. Keep it warm.1 point

I think it germinated (or at least I hope so). I'll put some more effort into the photos when it looks a bit better.1 point

What up 420 fam. Update time. Start of week 9. So far so good. Been doing the same thing all the way through. Water every 3rd day. Following the chart for the 2 thats flowering. And winging the nutes for the other 2.1 point

I got 5 more seeds. I'm obviously hoping this one works out, but hopefully I will at least be able to identify some specific things to change next time round if it doesn't. I'm still waiting for it to sprout, but I will be sure to start uploading some picks as soon as there is something to look at.1 point

Hopefully the soil isn't too hot, with an autoflower you really want everything to be perfect otherwise yield can be heavily affected. Not much room for error with an autoflower. Good luck with the grow and keep us posted on how it goes.1 point

Auto's, what a strange game. Some respond well to the manipulation, while others are really slow out of the gates. Amnesia Haze - Day 25. Responds well to the manipulation. Stardawg - Day 25. Not liking the manipulation that much. Do-si-Doh - day 25 also not liking the yoga to much. Opinion/Crit/Advice always welcome. Personal opinion: I started the LST to soon, and was probably to aggressive on the laaities.1 point

Sunday was one week for the trio. Fed one litre water with 1ml each of Root Juice, Acti Vera and Bio Heaven and Kelpack to each plant. Will water one litre water with 15ml coconut water to each this evening. Here's this morning's group shot. And individual shots. Blueberry #2 - The laggard Dashiki - My Daiquiri Lime Queen And finally, Agent Orange, my auto Orange baby! Feedback much appreciated.1 point

If the courier rocks up at your place, he had a way manifest. Clearly they had the parcel from B&B... or they wouldnt have shown at your spot. See no reason to drive to your spot, if there was no parcel to deliver and B&B still had to hand it over. Contact the courier and tell them to stop the crap. Driver might know the sender and decided that you dont go to the cops anyhow, and decided to grab the content. But good to know, Fastway off my list for reliable couriers. Hope B&B doesnt use those guys anymore. And Thanks for posting.. helps to find reliable services in SA, or just point out the no go zones1 point

Topping can be done but is stressfull, all depends on the actual genetics , most of the autos i have tried dinafem, advanced genetics, seedsman usually start preflower by week 3 doing anything thereafter will stunt, if veg could be stretched a week or two longer it should be ok with topping, LST is still best for autos personally, it must be adjusted every day and some light defoliation can do wonders in the long run, i feel topping an auto is a waste, rather do it for Photos the results speak for themselves with the plants i have grown. 11/9/2020. Day 1. I'm gonna be using days instead of date from here going forward. 3 seeds into 10l pots and I put a dome over them. Not sure if this is the correct thing to do but I'll be monitoring them. Had to put the light off to take the cabinet pic, just in case you all think I got a regular light bulb in there. QB75 is 500mm above plant. Blurple is 400mm above plant. I'll have to figure out correct heights, open to suggestions here bud's. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk1 point

Seed packaging is something that i'm looking at right now. To me its really about getting the seeds in the hands of the growers, so it makes little sense for me to spend a fortune on packaging, having to transfer that cost onto the consumer. But then there are those that like packaging from a collectors point of view. Practically though, packaging needs to protect the seeds from the elements, crushing, and tampering. So whats the middle ground? What packaging do you want?1 point
