Little update on the bag seed pilot project... Struggled to find a sunny spot that got enough sun at the flats while trying to keep then discrete. Having to move them at lunch from one side of building to the other. Seem to be doing nicely. Fashioned a little camoflauge/wind break/ easier moving contraption with an old chopping board and some garden decorations I found laying around. Made moving them easier and seems to be stopping the bugs from getting at them a little. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk4 points

Biobizz/freedom farmz 9ish hours of direct sun. And the rest was was my veg light . So 24 in total. Up until last Saturday. . . Had to put the new seeds in the grow space. Watering every 2 days. Ok so things are looking a bit better, ph is back to normal. Our tapwater tested at 8.2 yesterday. The Dr Grinspoon looks shitty but has the best smell of all my plants. Like smelly armpits but in a good way. Loaded with seeds.2 points

In flowering for about 4 weeks and new growth started at the top of the cola on three different bag seed plants. It is under a 50w led grow light, it was a bit close too the plants but even one of the shorter ones did the same thing. There is not much air flow and a general 'potassium rich' synthetic nutrients (3.1.6) has been added to the feed 2 week ago (low doses, and recently increased). Tbh I don't trust the nutrients, but i don't know why.2 points

Looks like it's revegging, what's your light cycle like? Light bleed into the grow space can also cause it. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk2 points

Hey, anyone use TerpLoc bags to cure their bud after drying? Here's a link to it if you haven't heard of them before: https://hydroponic.co.za/hydroponics/terploc-grove-bags/ Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk1 point

True, I heard about them on this forum beginning of the year and ordered from them, the service was AMAZING, they responded to my emails within 2 minutes and had my order the next day. I was very surprised to see them turn out this way. Anyway, i was reading through their T&C's and it says orders could take 4-5 weeks to arrive. You can usually dispute bank payments with bank or pay gate for up to 6 months, so i'll wait and hope i guess.1 point

Quickly try reverse the EFT or payment. It is so sad how things have turned out, looked so promising when he first hit the scene.1 point

Or, you read a review and search the seed bank for the breeder and every single item is out.1 point

Nice! The plants will finish at the same time, however growth may be a bit quicker with coco and fertigation vs soil and no nutes or nutes and watering every few days. Keen to see how it turns out and what the results are. Variables play a role too, but it will still be interesting to see.1 point

Yeah nothing annoys me more than spending time going through selection, then when you find something all options are out of stock or only 10 packs are available1 point

I bought from them. Service was way better than some of the banks on that list. Another thing is they actually have stock.1 point

I can't believe Cannabist have the audacity to have a link on their website saying "feeling a bit weary , no stress ask members on 420SA about their experience" and it leads me here. Put in an order with them a month ago worth R2000, a few days later i check out the reviews on 420 just for interest and i realized that everything had gone to sh!t, they haven't responded to my emails or whatsapp. I'm sitting here with pots filled with soil , everything's ready but nothing to plant. Out of 13 local seed banks I chose Cannabist These guys should be closed down , they can't run a business like this.1 point

Does not look as if you have a proper tent, so it is 100000% dark when the lights are off? Does any light leak in? Perhaps from a window, under a door etc. etc. If the plants are not getting 12 hours of more of darkness, they could be revegging.1 point

That is new growth since you got the cuttings? If so, awesome! Slowly start to increase the nutes as the plants grow. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

Few forum members reporting good experience with groenseeds.co.za - havent personally given them a go since they so new on the scene but with regards to affordability/price they pretty good - these guys could end up being a go to for newbies & cheapskates alike1 point

HARVEST TIME!!! - 2x large hybrids (Pot a & wheelbarrow) Plant growing in 90lt tub has reached the end of its journey & I've snipped off as much nugs as I dare - now I leave her and hope I didnt molest her too much Didn't think she was gonna yield too much, but there's quite alot of nugs on this lady Top quality for a run of the mill bag seed (check the trichomes) Yield (I'm guessing 250g) My fingers & subsequent hash ball (heavy dank smoke - first time I taste hash with a pineapple/fruity flavour, makes u cough like a bitch) After Molestation The plant in the wheelbarrow also got a partial chop as it was also beginning to reveg - harvested roughly 60% - yield below1 point

@afternoon blazer haven't harvested mine yet, she's much smaller - think i maybe planted 4 months ago1 point

@PsyCLown I'm hoping that the high dose of Pyrol I gave 2 days ago will kill the adults as they emerge (if all the other stuff doesn't already), or soon after, soon enough before they can lay more eggs. And as a double stop, apparently Pyrol kills eggs on contact too, so that should catch them also. I may need to spray the surface with it again in about a week. Another idea I had was buying predatory bugs and introducing them into the tent. Not sure if you've had experience with this? or if there is even a bug that'll work against gnats... But I'm thinking this would probs work better for pests that sit on the leaves and stems rather than under the medium's surface.1 point

I got rid of the thrips you gave me with a mixture of Pyrol & Neem... I think I only did one or two sprays and never saw a thrip again.1 point

We did a test with some hygrometers and they work exactly as advertised. Not always the case in this industry. Other great benefits are stealth due to being odour free and terpene preservation from being air and light tight. Anti-static properties prevents trichome loss. Does not require humidipacks. The list goes on. Gave away our jars since we started using TerpLoc Bags.1 point
