The buds have been curing for about 2 and a half weeks now. They have dried well and are all a pretty smooth smoke with each having their own traits. Skywalker OG (Soil) Definitely the strongest of the lot. Very spicy smoke and a heavy hitter to the head. I call it my "night-night" weed. Does not make for a very productive day and I would suggest as a pain killer or for insomnia. Great stuff for recovery or balms/tinctures. I made both a shea butter balm, vegetable glycerin and coconut oil. Super stuff. Aurora Indica (Soil) The best all-rounder. Fruity smooth smoke for anytime of the day. Very indica and body hitting, but not so much that you're couchlocked. Not so heavy on the head. Definitely has the best aroma of the bunch. Pink Mango Gelato (Hydro) The buds came out very airy unfortunately. What it does not have in bag appeal it makes up for in flavour. It is the tastiest smoke of the bunch and a heavy hitter. Hints of vanilla are noticeable when the jar is opened and the smoke is also light and sweet. Very frosty, but airy buds. I rate that pretty much ends the grow. Been a fun one and the bud is being thoroughly enjoyed thanks for following and I'll keep the updates going on the next one.6 points

In a previously loved soil. 20l fabric pot Re-amended very slightly, hopefully nothing that will make a unhappy environment for this auto.I plan on training this plant very slightly. Some LST and possibly topping. Will have to see how she grows. But seems like it’s very eager to reach up. I heard you shouldn’t do anything to Auto’s. And I’ve also seen people do weird and wonderful things with them. Will have to see how it reacts. Not the end of the world if she gives up. Starting this plant inside and moving it outside once I finish up in the tent for summer. I was planning on growing indoors throughout Jan, feb... but seeing how the temp is also having such an influence, considering having and small handful of plants outdoors rather. This replaces my plans of flowering the wedding cake x ss meeting in the 40l outdoors because she will probably reveg. So that’s finishing indoors rather. And my 40l pot will be saved for later in the season5 points

That's exactly it. The Samsung diodes found on most quantum boards are far more efficient than the older tech diodes which are found on blurple and some other led lights. So price per watt when comparing old led tech to new led tech may seem good, however its not Watts which grow plants. Its also not lumens which grow plants. Its the usable ppfd / par and when comparing the usable ppfd of an older led light to a newer led light it becomes clear which is the winner and which offers the best value for money. Especially after you've been running the light for a few years. A 120w blurple light may only have output equal to an 80w quantum board light for example (just an example, not actual figures). That extra 40w adds up in terms of heat and electricity usage over 3 years or so. MiGro actually did a comparison of a few lights based off this. The less efficient lights were cheaper to buy but long term they quickly fell down the list and the higher efficiency lights became the cheaper lights. 2nd topping done on most of the ladies. Again... the tent looks empty but all for the greater good. Overflowing with cuttings at the moment so had to make due with some DIY humidity domes Still haven't started with veg nutes as it would seem most of the bags of soil I bought was damn hot..... as you can see on the tips of the Upper Cut lady.. so only jiving with PH balanced water and some calmag. Happy Sunday everyone :) An update re the gnats... The extreme drying out and DE & then the H202 and Silicon Plus when watering seems to have kept the gnats under control. It's worth mentioning that both the H202 and Silicon have really low EC (full doses of both only brought my EC to 0.1), so worked out fine as I wanted to avoid any type of feeding while girls are finishing up. I noticed an especially big difference when I increased my usual low dose of Silicon to the recommended dose on the bottle. Some pots still have the larvae moving about when I add small amounts of water... This is day 5 since I discovered the larvae and so they should turn into gnats soon... But most of the girls are almost done now so so about to put them into their 2 days of dark. I'm thinking even if the gnats emerge they won't have much time to screw things up too badly. ...and the Margaret Roberts Insectacide for the gnats hasn't arrived yet. So the jury is still out on that one but I hear really good things. Next time I'll be adding cinnamon to the medium and hope to avoid this altogether.2 points

Ahh that’s disappointing. And around where did you land up ending flowering? Says 6 - 8 weeks? So nothing like the image? ☝1 point

Images of this strain look pretty insane - a bit on the photo shopped side (boosted contrast) but even so seems legit - am definately following this one! Keen to see how your lady grows out!1 point

Day 45. Something caught my eye as I was closing the cabinet last night. Woke up and she is a male. Lost one to germinating and one to being male. One under 12/12 with my Jack Berry, and four in pots in the shade house now. Climate a bit harsh here for outdoor pots. I'll update on the others shortly. Off to pub for a spliff and tequila in memory of #3. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk1 point

Yeah diagnosing can be tough at times, probably the only reason i got all my pdfs on desktop from getting mixed up 50% of the time or needing to double check - just one of those things I guess1 point

@Psylecta I thought the same but I water with tap water and my pH is on point growing in a fresh batch of FF green bag. Couldn't understand why that would be an issue. Turns out P and K excess can manifest as a cal/mag defiency to name a few. My fault finding skills when it comes to cannabis are terrible, so I could be way out. I flushed with some epsom salts followed with a low strength feed and she seems to be doing ok.1 point

1 week into flower white widow fruit spirit master kush lastly Girl Scout cookies , having troubles with this girl , she’s clawing like a bitch ,going to have to give her even less nitrogen as I just can’t seem to get her nice and healthy and get the clawing to stop Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

The Mexican Airlines is slowly doing its thing. Fastbuds recommend taking it easy with nutes so I have only given her half strength feeds every 3rd watering. Apart from that, not much to report back about. I am really enjoying growing autos outdoor and I'm quite surprised I haven't had issues with regards to the elements or pests (touch wood).1 point

Good afternoon 420 fam. Had a problem with the C4, I usually feed lower dosages than recommended, but tried to up the flower nutes. I'm pretty sure I ended up with a potassium/phosphorous excess. Fan leaves started looking like this. She seems to be doing ok though and i have returned to lower dosage feeding. Not sure if its the strain of the hot days here and there, but getting some foxtailing. Buds have a strong berry smell. Even the lower buds dont look too bad.1 point

So they both yellowed out their fan leaves a dnd the tips of the sugar leaves also browning. Wonder if I overfed them a bit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I have not used predatory mites myself, but have had a friend who has and it works but don't for fungus gnats. The mites are also not instant, it takes time.1 point

https://growingexposed.com/2016/04/25/interiors-project-3/ https://medium.com/@darrenxinyi/special-triacontanol-products-for-cannabis-7c2285259902 Literally took 1 minute to find this. I think there's sufficient info in these links showing triacontanol as an ingredient in bloom boosters and it's benefits. I may have made a mistake with mentioning big bud, I should have said alot of the leading bloom boosters because that was the point I was making. Why would I need controlled group testing. I'm doing it for personal knowledge and for those interested. I don't plan on writing a thesis on triacontanol. We are here to learn from each other and not prove each other wrong. I don't question anyone's growing abilities here cos quite honestly it's very easy to grow. I started this thread to show something I found interesting. I tried looking for answers on dosage and never found anything concrete. Hence the testing. I'm going to flower these out and check the end products quality compared to how it usually is. One thing I take out of this is my keepers that stretch like crazy always mess up my canopy and fall over. I now may have found a way to limit their stretch. I don't document things like this cos it's often testing that's started spontaneously when I have extra plants. I always veg more plants then I need and move the best to flower. The remaining get given away, tested on or culled. I'm always offering clones here to whoever wants. I'm all about sharing so give me a chance to share without trying to prove me wrong and if I'm wrong be cool about and let me know.1 point

I never claimed it was illegal, so not sure where exactly you pulled that out of. If you make a product you need to state its contents, this how things get their approvals from the governing body, really nothing more to it. Everything I’ve looked at about bud candy mentions nothing of the compound but a mix of pk with amino acids etc. I never asked about your yields, nor do I actually care. I was merely curious if you did a control group test of these hormones to see if there was a definitive difference, unfortunately if you have no control group the results are subjective. Anyways keep well.1 point
