Day 47. I lost the one under the blurple to it being a male. The one under the QB75 seems to be having a bit of a growth spurt. She hasn't had any yard time the last 4 days and sharing the light with my Jack Berry which is on 12/12. Watering every second to third day now and not adding any feeds. Second plant is at 35 days and living outdoors in the shade house with 2 more planted two weeks later. They were taking a beating with the harsh climate on the reservation, much happier now. Very specialized, and very cool. That light baffle accessory is awesome; air passes through but light cannot. Usually I have a piece of ducting at an angle through my passive intake but a light baffle would save space and look way fresher.

Magic Garden tents from GT Hydro are not good. Have had a few friends who purchased those tents, the zips do not last and light leaks all over the material... including the zip. I have used Secret Jardin tents before, they are decent. I had that exact same Secret Jardin tent and it's good quality and comes with some extras such as a scrog net and you can choose where to position your fans for exhaust and they provide a passive air intake filter which you can choose the location of as well. Also the piece for the electrical cables, you also get to choose where on the tent it goes - they basically supply some nice fitment accessories and a device for you to easily cut out the perfect sized hole for the attachments. Very nice and clever system - works very well. You get a patch it as well, if you ever want to close up one of the holes and these accessories can be purchased separately. Stock is currently an issue in SA, I want to get a Bud Box tent but no stock yet. Mammoth is good too. I have heard decent things about the Mars Hydro tents as well. So depending on what you are able to find and pricing, go with the cheapest perhaps. Although I would not recommend the Magic Garden tent due to the quality - if it were to be used for drying your bud then it should be fine although I'd personally prefer to get a different tent for growing. Finally after a few minor logistical problems and you know, life, I am ready to embark on my second indoor grow journey courtesy of @Bay Seeds. Thanks bud. Grow setup: 6 x Glamberry from @Bay Seeds. 1m x 1m x 1.6m cabinet from @Wife's Shelving Unit's. She's still a bit peeved. 1 x QB75 bar from @growopz. 1 x 300w no name Chinese blurple, after investigation probably 100w gifted by a friend. Soil. 50/50 Just Cannabis and specially made soil for propagation mixed together, perlite, vermiculite and coir added. Soil into 10l pots, watered and left to dry out again. I'll be planting 3 now and the other 3 in 2-4 weeks time depending on the growth rate. I may have another light by then that above friend wants me to compare. He has a few on the way from China. Hey, if I can score a light I'm sure it will do as a veg light instead of CFLs Grow plan: I have rigged the lights so that I can put 2 plants under the QB75 and 1 plant under the blurple. I will be rotating the pots in their respective places so that the plants can benefit from the overlapping light. Then of course as much light as possible from the greatest light supplier out there, Mother Nature. I'm curious to see the difference in growth under the 2 lights. No two plants are the same and if they spending most of time outside, I don't know. 8/9/2020 07H30 - 3 Glamberry seeds into paper towel. 10/9/2020 Checked this morning round 6ish and 1 had a tail. What's the right terminology here bud's? 5pm all 3 were wagging their tails, seed #1 about 10mm. Can see myself naming these girls, gotta be optimistic guys. As soon as you need more than two ducts it can be a little costly or even difficult at times to find the Secret Jardin accessories or the correct duct size you are looking for. If one were to opt for more than two ducts I'd probably then rather suggest an alternative.

Well, the accessories are necessary as you need to make your own ducting holes in the Secret Jardin which gives you a very versatile means of sorting out your ventilation placement. The included net is also perfectly sized for the tent. I would say it is worth the extra R300 if the above is something that will benefit you.

@Q9550 how soon do you want to get this tent? Mars Hydro have a 1.2 x 0.6 on Hydroponics for R2400... so a little bit cheaper but no stock currently but I believe Hydroponic are expecting stock sometime soon(ish). But if you need it ASAP, then I doubt you'd be unhappy with the Secret Jardin.

Out of these choices I would go with Secret Jardin for the better material and zipper quality. It will definitely last longer than the Magic Garden tent. Although I am saying this as an owner of two Magic Garden tents but their condition is slowly fading and one day the zippers will definitely fail. I am already looking into replacing them after two years. But as @PsyCLown says, there's a real shortage in the country at the moment for the mid-high end brands. So if you can grab a Secret Jardin while they are still available then lekker.

I asked a similar question a while back and the guys seem to love the Secret Jardin tents.

I don't think its a huge issue, but who really knows. Once this specific pheno flops on its back, hermies or turns into a photo-period then maybe there could be cause for concern. But as it stands, it just looks like another easy way to make money in this industry with multiple faces. They definitely had me fooled... however, suppose all goes well and this plant looks terrific, I would really not be able to complain - but then theres the smoke test too, just don't smaak the ethics. Now things would be 10x worse if I actually spent money on this seed, which I did not luckily. So its like ADIDAS - /// and ADIDDOS //

As a community we should just boycott bullshitters and people that that want to make excessive amounts of profit and deliver sub par product.. We all work our asses of to afford the luxury of getting wat we want.. and then to be scammed... not nice.. Important is that your happy with what you ended up with.. If not... JUST DON'T USE THEM AGAIN IF THEY CAN'T CORRECT THE ISSUE... and make sure everybody else is made aware that they should be wary and alert....

You sent 6 bud. I fucked up one germinating and one male. Four still going strong at different grow/planted times. Popped those BB3TNRF1's into water the other day. 26 hours later, ready for soil. Simmered up some sugar leaf in butter from yesterdays harvest and figured what the hell might as well make dinner

Looks like damage from pests. I was thinking thrips, but could be spider mites too I guess. You really need to take a close look at the underside of the leaves as the pests are very very small and will look like a small speck of something (white, red, black etc.) Here is an imagine, as you can see it is zoomed in. Look how small that thrip is: If it is pests, which I think it is, then pyrol works really well. Neem can work well too if you already have it. I have even used a mixture of pyrol and neem together. For spider mites, here is a picture to help you out: When you spray the pesticides, make sure you get underneath the leaves as well as mosts pests like to hide under the leaf. You will need to spray all your plants as well. Best to use a spreading agent as well to ensure the mixture stays in the leaves and does not bead and roll off.

Awe always check them daily, but this is the first time I've seen chewed leaves, never had issues before so I was immediately alerted and bingo, an asshole - here's the k@nt

Day 38 and 26 for#4. Still the same routine as far as watering and yard time goes. Water when thirsty and outdoors as often as possible. Back left, middle right and bottom left are #1, #3 and #4. Still no sex showing unless I missed something and 1 and 3 are female. They are on 12/12 now if they want to share the cabinet with my Jack Berry (centre) and Strawberry Cheesecake (back right). I stopped the LST very fast. Let sleeping dogs lie for now, only my 2nd indoor grow and I want to play around with autos!! #4 has been left to do it's own thing and looking good. I planted the last 2 seeds, once again thanks @Bay Seeds. This time: into water for just under 36 hours (I wait until seed drops to bottom of glass), onto soil in 10l pot and covered with mainly coir. 3 and 4 days later broke soil. 5 out of 6 not bad considering I probably FCUK'd up #2 myself using the paper towel method. Day 30. Plants have spent most of the week indoors due to some weird ass weather on the reservation. The QB75 and the Blurple seem to be on par as I'm not seeing any difference between the two plants. Still putting this down to them spending most of the day outside when possible. Did some LST to #1 and #3 by mistake, don't ask. I think they looking good so I'm gonna leave sleeping dogs and not fuck around anymore. #4 is at 18 days. Same grow. In soil, water when needed, outdoors as much as possible and indoors under lights the rest of the time. This one I'm gonna let grow naturally, well, you know what I mean. That little cutting sharing the pot with #4 is from the Jack Berry (last pic) by the way. Quick question or two: I have not seen any signs of the plant being male which is good but at what age should an auto start showing sex? And if I put an auto into 12/12 will the plant automatically go into flower or stick to it's auto clock, if you know what I mean. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Day 25. Everything still looking good. Plants routine hasn't changed. Outside on average 10 hours a day then in the cabinet for 8 hours. Watering when needed, on average every 3 to 4 days. I tried my hand at LST'ing my Jack Berry and some other plants and when I looked back I had trained the 2 Glamberry as well. Holding thumbs. Day 18. Other than the one seed that didn't make it the remaining two seem to be doing their job. Minimal water as and when needed then roughly 10 hours outdoors and 8 hours under the lights. I've planted another seed, #4. This time no kitchen paper etc. Into water last Friday, into soil the Sunday and broke soil Tuesday. 10 days old now. I'm not adding nutrients at the moment, still not sure if I will. Off topic. Think I'm in trouble with the missus. Day 4. Seed #2 has finally popped it's head above ground, it is looking pretty weird though. Almost like there's a membrane of sorts. #1 and #3 are chomping at the bits. I am giving very small amounts of water using a kitchen spray bottle on direct spray setting. Hoping for females now and thinking if I should do some sort of training when the time is right. Okes, there are local products that do the same as "Serenade". There is no reason to go and blow cash on a product that isn't even registered in SA. Second of all, both "Serenade" and the below local product are organic fungicides, meaning they contain organic bacteria which assists the plant with fending off conditions such as powdery mildew. They are meant as preventatives. You use it before you ever suspect a problem. If you have PM one year, then just get the below product and use it the following grow. PM is a bitch and is easier prevented than dealt with. Lastly, the overall health of the plant is also important. A healthy plant is less susceptible to disease and pests in general.
