30 Days From Seed Got the girls repotted and transplanted into 20L fabric pots. The tent is looking much more occupied now with 12 plants! Feels just like it should. I will be using three 240W Quantum Board LEDs, one for every four plants. It worked really well in the last grow so how about we just triple it Starting off the QBs at ~120W each in the current veg stage and I like keeping them around 40cm from canopy. I find this is the sweet spot, but I always watch the plants for stress and try increasing power as we work towards the flowering stage. I am so much more at ease with the full LED setup over the HID bulbs. It's so much less "stuff" and looks super neat. I will consider myself a full convert after the success of this grow; I haven't just yet thrown out the cool tubes and ballasts2 points

I harvest day smoke at 10% amber and my evening relaxers or desert smokes at 50% amber2 points

So, Sober October was called to an end last night... Feeling great after this month's detox. Started a training schedule, and putt on some weight at the same time. Hope to keep up with the training in the weeks to come... Blazed up a spliff after 1month, some blue dream from my last harvest... like a noob, I didn't need much, only got to about halfway and it was more than enough ... Then went trick-or-treating with the offspring... Sweet tooth sorted after that Be safe bro's1 point

...maybe this is all on purpose to push the courts to finally make a ruling with regard to cannabis clubs and create a precedent before the law is officially implemented Precisely. If anything this case will bring certain definitions, argued in court, by people way smarter than my cooked stoner self1 point

This kak of not holding people accountable for their actions is bullshit and sets us back as a community1 point

Im sure it goes without saying but at the same time should anyone involved be, or have intentions of being a dodgy bastard, word will be put out to the community But I mean if you want it foolproof - sign agreements complete with ID copy - any shenanigans a case of theft by deception gets opened at copshop as purchasing seeds is perfectly legal, selling them isn't* (* you know what I mean - theoretically legal/grey area)1 point

Brilliant idea, i think everyone needs help when it comes to dream strains, especially since the Rand has devalued off a cliff I can picture some insane crosses happening once this gets off the ground proper1 point

@Orcanic Hey bud, I'm just finishing up my 1st auto grow now. My buds came out okay (a mix of LSD, GSC, AK x Crit Mass) though I don't have any final weights yet as they still drying. Some things I found handy along the way: I'd also heard that autos don't respond well to HST but I experimented anyways by topping and FIMming 1 of each just to see how they turned out. They were stunted for sure, and never produced as much as most of the normal ones that were not topped or FIMmed. Well, on those 2 phenos on these strains it wasn't worth it, at least. The topped one looked worse than the FIMmed one. Maybe on other strains it works better, IDK... I did however defoliate the plants a few times throughout the grow to keep the bottom tidy and clear for lower RH and better airflow (and easier watering). Also I removed any leaves that never looked healthy. All in all I'd say I removed the branches up to the 6th or 7th node, but not all at once, maybe 3 or 4 sittings. This is also called lollipopping. Also on training, I gently tucked the fan leaves under the bud sites so that buds are more exposed to the light. It's kind of like training but not quite. My plants responded well to this. If you want the bottom branches to grow taller, don't cut the corresponding fan leaf below it. This helps create an even canopy. All of mine were in 5L fabric pots, never transplanted. Seeds went straight into pots. Despite the small pots the yields per plant seem pretty decent. I must say it's a pleasure to handle them in the smaller pots, makes many things easier At the end I got fungus gnats, as is so common. It was a bummer, but lucky I harvested before they fucked things up. I hear adding cinnamon to your medium in the beginning stops them from ever laying eggs. to begin with. @DamDave says he's had good success with this. I'll be doing this next time Other than that keep your temps and RH on point throughout the various stages. Try not to let them fluctuate if possible. The more stable the better. Never let it get hotter than 26 deg C as it damages terpenes. Try keep it at 20 deg or close during flower and 45% RH if you can. Remember the 48 hrs dark at the end. I'm still learning. Some might disagree with a few of these methods but they seemed to help me. Happy growing man :) Below pics of autos, top 2 bottom: LSD25, GSC, AK x Critical Mass, GSC, AK x Crit Mass1 point

This forum is a great place to find growers who are close to you and to make new friends. For logistics, it makes sense to ensure everyone part of your group is relatively close by. Obviously trust needs to be built. The clubs have the different regions, so perhaps join there and see which other forum members are not that far from you and get in contact. Keep in mind that not every forum member can be trusted unfortunately and this is done so at your own risk.1 point

We have a good relationship between growers. I basically put out a message and the first guys that responded got in on the deal. I baught the seeds and when they paid we split the pack over coffee.1 point

Great idea. I can only look at the good genetics and dream. This route makes things a lot easier This has also sprung up a separate board idea now. Seeing as trust plays a large role the board will have to be restricted by a reasonably high post count. Of course the element of risk will still be there but that's up to you guys and where you take the collective buy after the topic has been created A member who wants to look for collective buyers for a specific pack can start a topic of their own and look for other members to join on the collective buy. Let me know if this something that would be worth setting up1 point

Generally its always cheaper to do something yourself. You pay for the convenience. Want to service your car, the parts are only part of the cost. The labour is the rest and if you're doing it at the stealerships they charge a hefty price per hour. Same applies to food, growing it yourself is a fraction of the cost to buying it in the shops. Coco is no different. Hydrating the coco, washing it and buffering it and mixing it with perlite is quite a mission and a hassle for sure. So naturally buying it ready in a bag will come at a premium price. As for it being less than R70, depends where you are sourcing it all from but a 5KG brick expands to around 60L roughly and those sell for over R70 for a decent quality brick. Plus you gotta mix in some perlite. So overall you could get what's in the bag for less, but I do feel it the raw materials would cost you more - unless of course you are bringing it into SA in bulk yourself. The pricing on the coco and perlite is similar to the pricing on the soil people sell. R180 for 30L of soil vs R350 for 60L of coco & perlite, which works out to R175 for 30L of coco & perlite. When you think about it, soil is dirt and some amendments.1 point
