Day 59. Not much yard time for the indoor one (first pic) the past week and less watering. Whatever was happening to the leaves seem to have stopped. Chopped off the dodge leaves. Plant is standing at 500mm. Outdoor ones standing at 300mm and 800mm and looking good. If you live in Cape Town you'll know they got plenty of water last couple of days. Tall one at 47 days and younger ones about two weeks behind. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk5 points

Howzit Fam Sorry havnt been updating as regular as i should. End of week 3. Ladies are doing well. Havnt been getting as much sun as i would like. But got them under 24 hrs of the floodlight. Initially had them about 12cm lower i have them now. Wansnt too happy with growth. So raised them. No pre flowering yet. As my grows go on. The flowering seems to be happening later and later. Watering 3 - 4 times a week. Plain water on every 3rd watering.(this was just me being abit lazy though).4 points

This morning already the supercropped Aurora Indica is already perking up. Looking a lot more level but still only just slightly taller, but a lot better.4 points

And that’s it. Took them down yesterday as the trichomes started turning amber. Been a fun grow Obviously didn’t yield much but will get a couple of joints worth. I’ll report weight if anyone is interested Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

Little Mexican Airlines is doing just fine. She seems to enjoy the hot days more than the C4. We had a small issue with leaf miners, but I yanked off those leaves and the never returned.3 points

What up 420 Fam. So these 2 ladies are in their jars curing now. With 62 bovedas... 6 day drying and so far 4 days curing. gona leave then to cure for about 10 to 14 days. Burping about once a day. PS1 around 13gz PS2 around 22gz So not too bad. Im happy so far. The scent is like a citrusy vanilla kinda vibe. Still not very distinct yet. Should be more defined after the cure. 10 weeks. From seed to harvest. Decent yield considering weather recently and my grow light. Theres what the nugs look like. Once again. Thanks for all the input and suggestions. ✌✌3 points

Hi Guys So i have been doing my research for led grow lights. I started off with a 22w QB with meanwell, however i still feel its limiting in certain factors. So i carried on the search. I then came across LEON and African Roots Horticulture. African Roots Horticulture have a 380W fixture for R8499 which boasts around 880-905 umol/s. LEON have a 550W unit going for around R8800 and is around 2.5mol per watt. The reason i ask you guys for your help is it is a large amount of money however i wish to buy the correct equipment from the start! Anybody use these lights by any chance? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers2 points

Bro that is a bus load of money for lights. First things first, what is your grow area? Are you willing to do a little import and diy? For that price I would rather buy some Samsung strips off Digikey and make my own light. Check the DIY part of the forum and you will find some nice builds. If you not into building your own then check out @Master_G he making some really nice lights at a very respectable price. I dont know the 2 suppliers you have mentioned so I cannot comment on them.1 point

07 November If all goes to plan, it's about two weeks before I will transplant the seedlings to their fabrics pots outside. I decided to mix the soil today and let it sit for the period leading up to transplant. I used a 150l rough tote for mixing everything. The mix consisted of 1 x 5kg coco coir brick, 90dm outdoor potting soil, roughly 15dm vermicastings and 15dm compost from my own bins. I eyeballed the vermiculite and topped it off with some Bio Ocean pellets and about half a cup bone meal. The total water used to hydrate the coco coir was 60l of tap water, to which I added 1000mg of ascorbic acid for chlorine and chloramine removal and let it sit for a while. Ph was tested to be in neutral range Update on the seeds: The first seed that popped on the 5th and got transferred to germination mix, is still underground. I usually plant them very shallow with taproot down and only the slightest of soil covering. I would have expected to see some action above the ground by today. 2 Other seeds also popped and have the taproot peeking out, but I'm going to hang back maybe a day with them before putting them in the soil. They seem to be a bit slower to respond than what I'm used to. Still amazes me to see how much water a single 5kg coco coir brick can absorb. This is 1 brick and 60l of water.1 point

I've been light on the nutes. I was trying to gauge the strength of the new coco. Didn't want to go and burn the shit out of the seedlings and they got a bit hungry Otherwise, looks like I have one plant that's getting a bit taller than the others, it is one of the Aurora Indicas. Out of the 4 planted this one decided to be a stretcher. I may just try my hand at super-cropping on this one1 point

Haven't done the 3rd topping as yet but just had to share this good news from bad news. So firstly I lost the Wedding Gelato mother.. but she gave back with 3 little baby cuttings that all took root. Secondly, as I was doing the 1st top mainline training on the Chocolate Haze I took one of the mains too far and it got a small little split in the stem. Taking for the knowledge of fellow forum members and se YouTube videos I wrapped the damaged stem with insolation tape to try and limit stunting. As I was watering the clones today I saw a huge bulge forming under the tape. I took of the tape and to my surprise had a huge knuckle that formed. So from my mistake, remedied with a quick fix, I was able to do my first supercrop while still aiming to mainline that stem. Should be super interesting to compare the supercrop side growth against the normal stem. Clones also moved in to the big lady tent. Full tent Supercropped Chocolate Haze1 point

It was so hot in CPT today that my temps got to about 28.5 in the tent, any tips for hot days? Should I turn the light down or just hope its not hot for that long? It's has been about 24.6-25 since the start of flower (and the start of spring/summer) But otherwise, here are some update pics :D I am using a half dose of bio bloom once a week, starting today lol1 point

HARVEST TIME!!! - 2x large hybrids (Pot a & wheelbarrow) Plant growing in 90lt tub has reached the end of its journey & I've snipped off as much nugs as I dare - now I leave her and hope I didnt molest her too much Didn't think she was gonna yield too much, but there's quite alot of nugs on this lady Top quality for a run of the mill bag seed (check the trichomes) Yield (I'm guessing 250g) My fingers & subsequent hash ball (heavy dank smoke - first time I taste hash with a pineapple/fruity flavour, makes u cough like a bitch) After Molestation The plant in the wheelbarrow also got a partial chop as it was also beginning to reveg - harvested roughly 60% - yield below1 point

What up Gromies Small update. End of week 9 So the winds this week screwd me over. There were some casualties, but the strong survive. Lost the bag seed and the non flowering auto. . . So wasnt loosing any sleep over it. The 2 flowering ladies are doing well. Will check Trichz tomorrow. They super Frosty. Watering according to the chart for Nutez. Biobizz/freedom farmz 9ish hours of direct sun. And the rest was was my veg light . So 24 in total. Up until last Saturday. . . Had to put the new seeds in the grow space. Watering every 2 days. About a liter per plant. Did a defoil yesterday.1 point

So the C4 is carrying on, nearing the end of the 3rd week since she first showed pistils. Buds are building slowly and I have just started to introduce Topmax to the party. Flash and no flash main bud:1 point

Ages ago, i find i generally build a tolerance to a specific strain as opposed to general THC tolerance as switching strains usually does the trick (especially noticed this in Canada) as ive found smoking the same strain daily for a 2 weeks + you'll notice your consumption slowly start going up on the second week (at $10-$15/gram one keeps meticulous track lol ) but switch strains every week and you getting more bang for buck & enjoying variety at the same time1 point

My current grow is using 19.1 kw/units per 24h. I'm running 1000w(600w + 400w) lights in my flower tent and a 200w light in my veg tent. The fans are pulling 88w. You need to work out consumption in order to work out cost so the best thing to do is break your grow down to each piece of equipment that is using electricity and work from there: I'm gonna use my grow as an example here: Firstly it really helps to measure what each device is actually pulling and not go by the indicated wattage for the device i.e. a 600w HPS may use a little more than 600w, especially with magnetic ballasts. My 600W HPS and 400W HPS are collectively pulling a total of 1115w and not 1000W. If you have a prepaid meter it should be able to tell you the wattage being used in the house. An easy way to measure each devices true wattage is to have the device off, check the current wattage use in the house in the meter and note the amount, then turn the device on, note usage and work out the difference. Here's how to work out total consumption: The formula is : Device wattage X time(hours) device is on Flowering Lights: 1115w x 12 = 13 380 Veg Light: 200w x 18 = 3600 Fans(2 extractor fans and 2 oscillating Fans): 88w x 24 = 2112 We then add these totals together: 13 380 + 3600 + 2112 = 19 092 So that gives me 19 092 watts which is the total number of watts my grow uses every 24 hours. Or 19.1 kilowatts, or 19.1 units... whichever way you wanna look at it. To work out cost Formula: Total daily usage X Price per unit(kilowatt hour) Daily cost: 19.1 x R2.44 = R46.60 Monthly cost: 46.60 x 30 = R1398-00 Hope this helps1 point

So the C4 has started producing nanners at the end of week 8 of flower. The buds don't seem to have added much size in the last week or so, with weird airy growth on some bud tips. Not sure if i should chop her down as trichs aren't quite where I want them, or should I let her go for another week and pluck the bananas as they appear?0 points
