I do as little as possible. I do however spend time watering the plants every day. But mostly I just try to keep it simple. It starts with a good soil. This is my 3rd round of growing in the same soil this year. And spend money on good genetics. Buy clones from reputable people or try to find good seeds some where and grow regular seeds. You will see the difference. @Totemic just lauched some nice seeds at a good price check out his site or buy here on the forum.3 points

That sounds awesome @Prom , creating a real auto with swazi structure and perhaps even flavours is not impossible. You might have to work em to the f3's or f4's and then backcross back to some of the f2's, or even f1's again, selecting under the 24hr cycle will ensure you catch the auto gene along the way. If i had to plan a project like this, i would go swaz male to ruderalis fem (line 1) and then ruderalis male to swaz fem (line 2). Take some pictures of your swaz and ruderalis males used in the first f1's. When selecting males outa the f1 gen i would go for the boy closest resembling the swaz, but triggering under 24hr. With those f2's you will get an idea if the male carried over the structure, also one of the lines should conform quicker than others. I would then breed the winners from both lines f3 gen together to see what happens, then also f3 to f1 gen, etc. Prom's Swaz Autos bred in SA pappi3 points

What up 420Fam, I'm a long time reader of the forum but don't really post much as I'm more of an introvert and usually prefer to keep to myself. I have been growing for a long time but would still consider myself a "noob". Started off growing in a PC case ages ago when extreme stealth was still required lol Thankfully things have changed and now I'm able to grow out of a tent. Not the biggest tent, actually its meant for germination (Mammoth Prop 90) but its what I have and its doing the job currently. Currently vegging indoors and flowering outdoors. I am in the market for a new tent if I can find stock and at a decent enough price so I can do a full indoor run. My plants are already on the go and are at around the 22 day mark since going into the coco plugs. I don't usually grow autos as I have not had much success but the seeds were cheap enough to play with. They are exactly what the title states... Unknown autos so basically all I know is that they are autos but the strain is unknown. Details of Grow: Tent: Mammoth Prop90 (900 x 600 x 600) (Veg Only) Growing Medium: Freedom Farms Premium Classic Pots: 10L GrowBudz Fabric Pots Nutrients: Umya Pot Radix, Pot Grow, Pot Flora Additives: EM Pro-Soil, Seagro Seeds From: Groen Seeds Breeder: Unknown Strains: They shall be known as: Unknown Auto 1 (UA1) and Unknown Auto 2 (UA2) Lights: 1 x ModuGrow Bar @ 90w , 2 x DIY ModuGrow boards @ 20w each Light Cycle: 18/6 Right now lets get to what you all came here for... PICTURES!!! Day 1 - 2020/10/14 - Seeds sowed directly in coco peat plugs. No shot glass soak or paper towel method. Coco was soaked with EM Pro-Soil Microbes and dechlorinated water. Day 3 - 2020/10/17 - Seeds broke ground Day 4 - 2020/10/18 - Transplanted into the 10L pots Day 7 - 2020/10/21 Day 12 - 2020/10/26 - Was away from home, so missed a couple pics in-between Started getting some issues. Could be either the FF mix is too hot for them or the heat in the tent. Temp's were at around 27 - 30 degrees. Day 17 - 2020/10/31 Day 19 - 2020/11/02 - Plants seem to be taking of now UA1 in the front, UA2 at the back Day 21 - 2020/11/04 Please feel free to drop any comments or share any advice you may have. Thanks for dropping by peeps!!!2 points

@Dank I am not really in a rush and never made a auto.. I did some breeding years ago with Jack Herer and Pineapple Express. My goal is rather simple.. first, make a auto ^^ second, make the auto look as much as the original photo. The first batch f3 should be pure.. then I check if I like, if yes, I hand out some seeds to the board members.. beginner to gurus.. and with that feedback I decide, if I try harder or go to the Malawi. Swazi isn't a top terp weed, one of the reasons to start with it i would rate it as easier to get something similar. Right now just curious ^^ and bored My infant heart still hopes the government gets all legalized and I can open a coffee shop Then I would go a bit more bonkus rent storage facility, order a Moat ^^ and run 40 strains at the same time, employee 20 people not sure that is enough. I enjoy my legal growing very much Right now.. I test and try all the strains I ignored, and so much new coming out each year. When I have a better overview of what is going on out there, I am rather sure, I will go back to photos and pheno hunt my top 5. My seed order still in JoBurg. Went checking with Post Office.. Naa, backlog, sorry! As long not confiscated, all good first 11 strains to test. Never had Strawberry Pie, or Lemon Pie, or Orange Sherbet,... very long list.. I might be missing out hehehe so I first wanna get a better overview, then breed a bit more serious. Might come back to your Blueberry ^^ I enjoyed those very much, was also a first.2 points

Is a bit of a repetition ^^ but light is for most the most confusing part. @Bakstein420 the Samsung diodes are just one, there are more producing LED diodes. For Samsung, stick to the LM301B or H diodes. The more important selection are the frequency ranges and board setups you can choose. They offer usually a range from 2500k to 6000k, pure white or combined with infra red or ultra violet diodes. I personal only go for 3000k 660nm, so included infra red.. but I avoid any UV on the board. That's to the DIY.. you pay a bit for your light from the shop as they (should) come with the hanging instructions. Distance for germ, veg and flower.. those are very important figures. To much light is especially bad during germ and most people do the mistake in this step. @Johnny You do it right.. ask and inform yourself as good as you can. Those lights cost.. but then again, Eskom will over take the cost of the light within a year. Look that you run the light in regards to your grow space. Going over 450 watt on a 1.2mx1.2m area is wasting energy, in my opinion. So what ever you buy, check that the lamp comes with instructions how to hang it for the three stages. It will reflect in your grow success.. Wish you the best of luck and may the weed be with you ^^ Read up here.. gives you an idea what shape of light you want:2 points

Futureponic, for some reason I seem to recall these being a similar design to the Magic Garden tents sold by Green Thumb Hydroponics. Not sure on the quality of them (Futureponic), just seen pictures online. However if the quality is the same as the Magic Garden tents, well... there are better quality tents out there for sure. Just because it looks the same, does not mean the quality is the same however it is not uncommon for suppliers in China to manufacture the same product and just put a different logo on it depending on who they sell it to. Is it an online purchase? Is there anyway you could physically see the tent before you purchase? Ideally check for light leaks as well although this is best done with a light inside the tent and having the tent in a dark room. Light leaks are a concern when it comes to tents, the quality of the tent is also important as you want it to last a long time. You do not want the zip to give in, or the stitching in the seams to come loose or even worse the polls or corner connectors to break leading to possible damages of your plants and even equipment. There have been situations where all of the above has happened to various friends of mine.2 points

price? links? if you have the space for the tent then you have to do it... its not a question anymore haha2 points

I literally just looked at the elements and thought of this maybe: Phosphorus - Has 2 'P's" so think P Potassium - Has 1 'P's" so think K - P**S Klap2 points

Need an easy way to remember what NPK refers to? Here's a handy quote: “Up, down, all around.” Nitrogen (N) for plant, foliage and stem growth (is the UP); Phosphorous (P) for root development and blooming (is the DOWN); Potassium (K) for ALL AROUND plant growth and blooming! I see a lot of these kinds of deficiencies/toxicities around, sometimes its the reciprocal relationships between the 3 basic cations that is off. THE three basic cations, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, compose the largest portion of the essential nutrient elements found in plant ash. ... of excessive amounts of potash will cause a very high content of potassium in the plant, but will lower the contents of calcium and magnesium.2 points

Im constantly calling Potassium - Phosphoruis & vice versa - Gonna rather refer to them as P & K in future, lmao is there any clever method to avoid confusing the names of the 2 - its like potassium deficiency i can spot a mile away but i always have this instinctive tendency to refer to it as phosphorus instead of what it is Potassium & vice versa, starting to get really annoying --- its like getting used to driving in North America after living in RSA all your life lmao....left lane, no right lane, ah fuck it, pavement looks safe2 points

Here is my first attempt at supercropping I am doing this to stop the taller Aurora Indica from getting too out of hand. It is also another first and if successful is just another tool in the toolbox of growing goodies.2 points

Beautifull plants as usual @SkunkPharmMany times less is more, many times we tend to kill our plants with too much ''love'' and ''faffing''. KISS.....1 point

This looks super awesome! Can I please attend classes to learn how to do this??? LOL! Looking Sweet man!1 point

I also struggle with this quite a lot lol I have found a way to remember it now much easier, I changed the spelling of "Potassium" in my head to "PoKassium" so the "NPK" abb becomes true for each letter. Nitrogen Phosphrous PoKassium Its stupid but it works for me My other issue, which is worse actually, is Sativa vs Indica, for the life of me I cannot seem to remember which is which lol1 point

LOL i also battle with Potassium and Phosphorus to be honest the only way i get around it is by fast checking with google... takes me less than a min and then i know im golden haha. Does anyone else have any tips for remembering which is which?1 point

Hi there, Guys i read this thread I had a bit of a wobbly experience as well. Placed an order, that was stuck in processing (was sold out, but was in stock on site) Eventually got through to the owners, who apologised. and ordered new stock. The new stock took awhile to arrive. and was held back in customs. by this point i thought i was getting scammed as well. Eventually i raised my concerns with Craig. He apologised and found it reasonable if i asked for a refund. Later i got a call that he had made a plan with another shop which had my order in stock.. he grabbed those and shipped them to me. The boards arrived today. and i must say. im impressed. Bit of a wobbly experience but compromises where made. Most of the horror story issues arose when this shop was using a crappy courier. Since then they are using the courier guy. Tracking numbers work.. no address problems... and i got what i ordered. (albeit late)1 point

very good very good. plants are looking tip top bru. good work on the super crop, it turned out well! i would just remove one leaf in the mix - the one that when you first super cropped was covering everything. LOL i had a forced supercrop session the other day when one of my qbs fell after i adjusted it, and it smashed a branch properly... shame... luckily i had a trellis to hold up the broken cola... and now she has a fat knuckle!!1 point

You can always have a look at my lights. phoenixsky lights. I manufacture quantum boards locally. I specifically keep the prices competitive due to the rip off prices. feel free to contact me if you’re keen to chat1 point

@Bakstein420 Ladies looking lovely. Especially like the purple... looks like juicy grape/berry... Good luck with the final stretch...1 point

Also @Prom has had great success with quantum boards from AliExpress. It's all about the diodes bru. If it uses samsung LM301B diodes then your looking in the right place1 point

Little Mexican Airlines is doing just fine. She seems to enjoy the hot days more than the C4. We had a small issue with leaf miners, but I yanked off those leaves and the never returned.1 point

This morning already the supercropped Aurora Indica is already perking up. Looking a lot more level but still only just slightly taller, but a lot better.1 point

@Psylecta not sure a out the mark on the leaf but I'd say cut the bottom and largest fan leaf off the clone. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

I've been light on the nutes. I was trying to gauge the strength of the new coco. Didn't want to go and burn the shit out of the seedlings and they got a bit hungry Otherwise, looks like I have one plant that's getting a bit taller than the others, it is one of the Aurora Indicas. Out of the 4 planted this one decided to be a stretcher. I may just try my hand at super-cropping on this one1 point

a lack of potassium is the likely cause of the burnt edges. but being in freedomfarms and the plant not being huge, im not entirely sure. it could be a root issue, but the rest of the plant looks fine. maybe pick that leaf off and watch for signs of new damage1 point

30 Days From Seed Got the girls repotted and transplanted into 20L fabric pots. The tent is looking much more occupied now with 12 plants! Feels just like it should. I will be using three 240W Quantum Board LEDs, one for every four plants. It worked really well in the last grow so how about we just triple it Starting off the QBs at ~120W each in the current veg stage and I like keeping them around 40cm from canopy. I find this is the sweet spot, but I always watch the plants for stress and try increasing power as we work towards the flowering stage. I am so much more at ease with the full LED setup over the HID bulbs. It's so much less "stuff" and looks super neat. I will consider myself a full convert after the success of this grow; I haven't just yet thrown out the cool tubes and ballasts1 point

The pluto cut autoflowers are looking great. I could definately recommend them. My fastbuds grow were kak and I cut them down 4 weeks into flower. I did not take them outside early enough.1 point

Thanks for the welcome! I have actually been shopping for some DP to try and grow, it just sorta seems to be the right thing to do when one lives in the city it is named after... I have struggled to find commercial offerings though to be honest. The most legit looking one I have seen seems to be the Dutch Passion version. It seems odd to buy a Durban seed from a Dutch company though. I may just take you up on your seeds offering. There are clubs? And those clubs visit the farm? Sounds amazing!1 point

I would skip soil if you are growing indoor... BOOM I said it..... I love coco If you want the easiest way to grow, get yourself a nice brick of coco, 5kg one should do the trick... Get some salt based nutes, nutriplex or GHE is great, follow the directions on the bottle and it really is that simple. You will need a way to measure pH of your feed and run off... And I think that's it. 250w light... Led? Hps? Coco Bottle salt based nutrients PH pen along with pH down and up ammendments Grow weed lol Ask me to grow outside though... And soil is the way and the light son1 point
