  1. Had a wild weekend that started on Friday. Absolute havoc, chaos and mayhem with good people/animals. Ended up losing R100 bet on the sharks and lions match, bought a 3Kva lister engine and generator, and the bad news found out on saturday morning my foot is broken in two places and ankle is sprained. It started with a silly bike accident about 4 years ago. Anyway the good news is had a seriously crafty weekend, made just under 100 grams bubble hash on saturday, and just under two litres of 60% lekka liqqa on sunday. My fullmelt from 35 and 70 micron bags. Seriously impressed with the beetroot and cinnamon mash that I used. It tastes earthy ( beetroot) and sweet ( cinnamon ), came out clear, instead of a pinkish tinge I was hoping for . Below is our setup from yesterday at the local watering hole. My competitors ( copper pot to the right ) did not hold back on any of the bells and whistles. They were hitting about 75% proof, puts hairs on your chest.

  2. Weekly update. The plants are flourishing at different stages of growth and training. I have run out of Seagrow and must replace, otherwise I am still giving the plants SST in their water daily and feeding Epic 5:2 once a week, with foliar spray of Epic 5:2 every 2nd day with my pest control (BB/BT/Neem). Two Double Wild Durban clones have rooted. From the top are: Molly (Transkei origin in my soil mix) Purple Haze (Mystery purple thought to be haze in my soil mix) Inzane ITM (clone in Orgasoilux) Double Wild Durban 1 (in my soil mix) LC-18 x Transkei (in my soil mix) Holly (Transkei origin in my soil mix) Wedding Cake (clone in Orgasoilux)

  4. I may be a bit late, but I have a Fastbuds Fastberry that my cat damaged early on, and I threw it in the ground outside because I needed the space for something better / undamaged. Did not have much hope for it, but here it is 4 weeks later. Still some time to go, but surely a tough lady. At least 3 feet tall.

  5. Little LST coming along okish I think. Seem to have opened up the canopy a little at least. Into week 6 now. WW3 showing signs of flowering... SD lagging... Weird. SD was supposed to be the faster of the 2. [emoji2369] Sour Diesel WW3 Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

  8. Ok. So I am starting a new breeding project. My previous project was to feminize a Gorilla Glue # 4 with STS and collect some pollen. It took forever and very little pollen got harvested but I am sure there will be enough to pollinate 4 other plants. A welcome bonus was that there was a male in the room from a very potent mysterious strain I was testing and some of his pollen snuck into my STS area, giving me 100 or so regular seeds from my feminized Gorilla plant. I am sure there will be some interesting variations there. Anyway, on to the next one. I have popped the following 4 strains into some jiffy pellets last night; A feminized Gorilla Glue # 4 from the same family as the mother / father. These were quite potent and I would like to preserve this strain until I can find a true regular male for some fresh genes. A feminized Granddaddy Bruce. A feminized Wedding Cake. A feminized Banana Kosher Kush. I am sure there will be some seriously funky crosses coming from this. My grow area is in my garage and there is some boxes and stuff stored on the other side. Any chance of some viable stray pollen still lurking by the time these 4 reach maturity in two months? I have sprayed and wiped down most surfaces with diluted Jik bleach, unable to spray down the boxes for obvious reasons. Thanks.

  9. Hey guys so I ordered seeds from fastbuds themselves as they were having a sale (what ever you ordered they will double so if you ordering 5 packs of 3 seeds each they will give you another 5 packs of 3 seeds each free.. I couldn't resist! Placed order at end of August and seeds were dispatched.. a month later and still had not reached South Africa.. So I emailed and complained and they sent out a second batch of what I ordered.. and added a freebie pack.. Both packages arrived in November but due to our pathetic post office only got the slip to collect last week.. Anyhows I am sitting with a shit load of topshelf genetics from fastbuds.. If anybody is interested in any of these sealed packs at discounted prices pm me.. strawberry pie 4X 3seed packs Lemonpie 4X 3seed packs Gorilla cookies 4X 3seed packs Wedding cheesecake 4X 3seed packs Orange sherbet 1X 3seed pack

  10. Further development! Took some general pics and some bud shots of some notable looking delights. I want to write more but I've really not been doing much special right now. Since cleaning up the lower canopy, work on the grow has been pretty min apart from watering every few days. I decided to do less trimming in general and keep more larger fan leaves (within reason) on the top half of the canopy as I have usually in the past been quite aggressive with it. I do feel shorter strains can benefit from more trimming during the grow, especially ones with very short internodal spacing. It worked out really well for me in the past especially when doing topping and mainlining. Although since trying the al natural 'no hard training' (minus the one supercrop of course) method and keeping the bottom half canopy clean I haven't felt I've needed to trim as much leaves as before. 13. Lets talk how to make easy hash. I will keep it more on the simple side, some decisions you simply have to make yourself, other steps are give and are rather a must. But as none of the steps are rushed, a rather relaxing procedure. First step is getting your grids.. which ones, I leave that selection to yourself, as not in the mood to hear: bought the wrong sizes because of you! I use 2 max.. (Google, decide, you can always reorder), I know people using 4 (i just think is a bit over done, if you consume the stuff and don't want to sell in different qualities. Depending on which "take" i rub, i skip the fine one completely, only use the fine one with take 1. I use a cheap Car massage system and put one side of the grids (rather firm connected) on one of those vibrators, set to max. This is not needed at all, I am just a lazy fag ^^ And you need a hard, very smooth surface below your grid.. mirror/glass works best. Once you have the grids of your choice, next order you have to do is dry ice (www.dryice.co.za, 20kg, R816 + shipping, 3mm pellets) and some clean silicon kitchen gloves or non powdered (like always when you handle weed) medical gloves. The dry ice will last 2-3 days, so order that best to the date you want to use it. When you store it, wrap some additional blankets around and place it beside your air intake for the tent Free CO2 generator. There is no need to put your dry left over into the freezer. You just wait 10 minutes longer with wet material, the dry ice does what it says.. it drys very quick ^^ and no liquid left overs. Material I use are fluff buds and material from dressing the A class buds I want to keep. Those are the GSC fluffies, made no pic of the WoW material i hashed, but looked 1 to 1 the same. GSC gets bubbled. In your bucket with the material you dump some dry ice pellets and shake it in in steps. In a 10 liter bucket I drop around 4 cups of dry ice. The 20kg box you get is HUGE ^^ would guess you can easy do 15 huge trees with that box. I had 5 Wonder Woman total. Used not even one quarter. Once it stops "steaming" the water is gone, mix carefully and check that none of those pellets enter your glove.. or you will end with a freeze burn, dry ice is -80C. When you take a bud out and squeeze it.. it should just crumble to dust.. ready to go. Take a hand full out and rub it firm in between your hands. the dry ice pellets will help you get the material fine. Don't take to much, but you are also in no rush, all will stay super cold. No need to dig in your fingers.. just move it gentle without any down force over the grid, that way your fingers stay warm. What falls through looks more like a fog. Depending how long you work the more you change quality. I work each batch around 60-90 seconds. Keep the material, you can do more than 1 take. First will be super sticky and very easy to form a ball, third to fourth will be more powdery and demanding a heat press to get some potency out. When done, remove the material into a second container and rub on a next batch with your hands till done. The fine grid will have collected 90% of the pollen you filtered out. I add some dry ice pellets to that pollen and let it cool down again. Then use a old credit card to gently move it over the fine grid with as little down force as possible. When you are happy, you put the batches in bags. To work with the fine grid, the lower you get the temperature, the better will be the result. (was take Nr4, so a bit greenish) The left overs from 2 10L containers And the result of the first take You can use a pollen press, your hands (gloves) or leave it in the natural chunk it forms by gravity inside the bag. Depending to that, color will change. But is very soft and very sticky... If you have a phone call and have to leave during a batch is on the grid, add some dry ice and let it cool down, that way you don't mess up your grid. Cleaning the grids, any soft brush will do.. if you cool the grid down with some dry ice, you get it rather clean.. just careful.. very cold things like to break way easier. Freeze burns hurt.. keep that in mind before you get one and don't "rub" down when you work the material.. only slide it gentle over the grid. Rest.. good luck and have fun

  15. Keen to find out whether anyone has tried making their own Charas & whether its even worthwhile for the average backyard grower to attempt If so how many plants you have to rub to make say a gram of cream? Hows the smoke with regards to strength & flavour?

  17. Hi folks. So the last couple of weeks the plants enjoyed a nice little last vegetative growth spurt and showed some nice leaf colour. Hopefully the nutrient balance is now on par... I topped up the pots with a layer of fresh soil and cleaned the bottom 3rd of most of the stems to try and focus all the energy on the top bud sites. I flipped to the 12/12 light cycle yesterday so hopefully between 65 to 75 odd days I will have a healthy heavy harvest Full tent

  19. Started some new seeds, Dosidos auto from Barney's Farm, Northern Berry Gold from Green Smoke Room, and a Glueberry OG auto from Dutch passion(the Glueberry OG I harvested previously had a wonderfully strong berry/coffee liqueur smell, will be nice to see what it's like fully cured). The Purple Merkel, Lavender Best and Black Cream auto are around a week old now. This Alien OG from Green Smoke room has a wonderful fruity smell. The Pure African sativa's stretched quite a bit. The Trumps Cookie Jar auto seems to be getting a bit of frost and a little bit chunkier. Took a tester nug from the recently harvested and dried Sweet N Sour Mephisto, took a few hit's from my lotus vaporizer and it was a very nice strong relaxing euphoric head high, definitely gonna have to ration this one as I keep craving for more. Now to wait patiently for it to cure.

  21. Weekly Update:All of the plants are starting to push now which is making me happy. I am still contending with hoppers and now we can add bolworm and aphids to the mix. I have been monitoring the infected plant, Holly, the big Transkei origin plant, and hand picking the worms. The aphids haven't made it onto the ganga yet but they have heavily infected the nearby weeds, which I have been pulling and throwing away. The hoppers are everywhere. Spraying once a week with BT/BB/Neem. Feeding daily with Seagrow and SST and weekly with Epic 5:2.

  22. @Fridge B - B - B - Bingo The Gelato is about 1 mile ahead of the next ones Problem is that you have to import ^^ Customs just grabbed my FastBuds order so send the guys a msg to pack 30 seeds max, declare them on the manifest and put a letter with: free samples, value zero! hehehe and see what customs do. If it goes past, FastBuds also knows how to send into SA otherwise I ship to my German address and take em with over Xmas The mess they do with seeds.. I ordered when the draft said: unlimited seeds and seedlings you can posses. Hope they fork out the law soon, so we know what we can work with, at the moment customs them self seem rather confused. The Fedex seeds I declared.. went through zero problemo. If you look for something tasty and local available. Nirvana still have some good genetics in their selection on Autos. The Bubblelicious is a very sexy smoke, fruity and if you let it go late, kicks like a donkey. I made a "few", over 30 plants total of those, and they all ended up about the same with no heavy pheno swings. Like the FastBuds Gelato, very stable. The Blue Cheese (Blueberry Cheese, who ever gave the name Blue Cheese should get shot) from Nirvana is also a very aromatic smoke but.. you get some super tasty ones and some rather boring ones, I would say your chance is 50/50 to end with a good one, plant 2, 3 to be sure ^^. Their Blueberry Kush has some veeeeery sexy phenos in... problem, 1 out of 4 ^^ I made a few, got 4 really really awesome smelling and tasting plants, the others were just average. And autos you can't keep.. so the more stable strains are more fun to grow. HSO Sour Diesel or NYC Diesel.. is what I call proper Diesel. If I look for Diesel, I always go HSO. If you look for a Sativa dominant plant.. and you like the taste.. BINGO! ^^ Have so many people loving the weed.. I put it up, also Sativa dominant ^^ Royal Gorilla Automatic from Royal Queen Seeds. It won a cup.. you understand why, when you taste it. Is a bit a weed you don't get the taste to often and when you are done with the joint, you always ask why so fast. Very smooth silky smoke.. (edit. also very stable strain, tasted no difference per plant) Still want to sneak into Mephisto.. but that is for next year.. doing FastBuds this year.. didn't had a bad strain from those guys yet.. just grows and tastes.

  23. @zolrooker They had a big shock when i transfered them to soil. Still stunted but at least all 5 alive. After the heavy rain last weekend im having ph problems and a few lockouts outdoor. The Dr grinspoon looks weird and hardly has any bud, but its loaded with seeds. Should make interesting crosses. Everything is pollinated.

  24. My last 600$ order from Fastbuds got taken by customs.. got a love letter from SARS Fastbuds resend in 30 seed packs now.. and declare the seeds.. with a fat sticker on, free samples, value zero... that should fit with the draft.. lets see When I send them the scan of the SARS letter, they asked right away, how we send it next? ^^ That's when I went for the 30 seed version. Just takes a long time with post office.. I guess the law is done till the seeds reach customs. Last order was June and I got the letter in November.
