@Onion I’m a bit late to the conversation but I agree that there is some ‘BAD’ parts of the bill. As an example if I have a child, I’m not allowed to consume THC otherwise I’ll go to jail for 15 years exhaling out my window can get me into trouble as well. Safe to say those ill intended anti-cannabis neighbours will call the police for every J you light in your yard. maybe the way they meant to draft it was that to say you should have exercise caution when consuming cannabis with children in your household which parents already do with things such as cigarettes, alcohol, electrical equipment, etc. These are terrible provisions and I submitted my opinion(through public opinion on the govs website) regarding these and a few other provisions.3 points

They have, currently are, and will continue to be in existence regardless of whatever the "law" has to say. Most clubs are underground, facilitate a small number of members and are often affiliated with a hydro store. THC and C3 are "public" club versions in the way that they openly invite members of the public to participate in the club, albeit in the guise of "privacy". THC knew they would get raided or have their operation halted at some point, but they got all the legal backing that it almost seems like a honey pot situation where they poked the SAPS bear to make a move so they could force a legal precedent from the courts and officially make cannabis clubs legal for everyone. I am sure there are some really passionate growers just waiting for the opportunity, and I think these public clubs need some more competition other than the well established black market, in terms of quality and affordability. I don't doubt THC will be successful in their pursuit, as I understand the SAPS raided with no warrant and destroyed private property, thinking that it was just another "dagga lab" for them to show off on Twitter as another "roaring success story". Unfortunately they fucked up this time. GG well played.2 points

Everything i write is my personal opinion and has nothing in reference to the 10 commendment what so ever extraction can be done in many ways.. and i havent tried all of them, but a few. If you look to extract without any solvents, heat press. This one comes with a bit of investment... and waste. For THC products, beside hashing my preferred method. CBD i wash with butane gas, as i try to get out as much as possible. Test and then do the dosage. Syringe, capsule, depends what is wanted. I prefer gas to alcohole because of the result purity. Just when i look at it, i prefer the honeybee. Some people even wash with acetone. The challenge at the end is for all washing methods the same, you have to remove the solvent and end with a concentrated substance. That you get lab checked and dilute after to the concentration to consume easy. All worked as it should, should be a rather clear liquid. The most pure THC substsnces i ever saw were white crystals with a yellow touch... the darker your end result, the more junk you have in your solution. Honeybee should look exactly like honey after washing. Golden, see through, very sticky. Avoid to get it on your hands. The potency of your extract depends on the potency you got in your plants. So harvest is key.2 points

With autopots, I don't feel a buffer is needed. Do keep us posted on how the grow goes :D. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

I hope my seeds germinate. I’m in the process of germinating 8 x Dynafem Auto’s. My plan is as follows: Soak seeds for just 12hrs; Place them into prepped Jiffy Pellets in an incubation humidity dome; Let them germinate and move them in the Jiffy directly into the final medium (Freedom Farms F1). This way the tap root will not be at risk of possible damage, and the root will immediately have access to a decent medium in the Jiffy. Anyway I followed my plan and today I prepped the Jiffy’s and realised once I had the seeds out of the cups, that I didn’t know which way round to place the seeds in the Jiffy hole! Both ends looked the same, especially after soaking for over 12 hrs. So if the seed was placed upside-down then some of the roots might grow upwards out of the medium into air, considering the plan was to keep the jiffy’s in the dark. So after puzzling a bit I’ve decided to place a small screw-in LED light bulb high over the clear incubation dome in the hopes of giving the newly germinated seed some sense of which direction to grow in. There is around 10mm of F1 on top of the seeds at present. (So the light shouldn’t effect the seed adversely, right?) It might not be too late to get the send out and into paper towel... but I’m not keen to stress things out. Any opinions? Thanks guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

They not worth it IMO. I had about 3 x 100w versions and they cost about R100 each. They get very hot and after about 2 months or so they start burning out. Rather get an LED flood light from ACDC.1 point

I imagine dry ice could help drop temps a bit but how much does one need a D how long does it last for and how much does it cost etc? No way to regulate temperature with this method, but perhaps a quick fix if one is needed. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

My temperatures are also getting a bit too high at moment(28-30 Cape Town) during the day when lights are on. I’m considering getting dry ice and placing in front of my fan as a quick fix on hot days. Apparently it does work and can also increase the co2 in your tent. Obviously I’d also need to invest in a AC at some point but it may be something to look into as well. I’m a newbie to growing so take my advice with a pinch of salt and maybe do further research should you consider it.1 point

Great thanks for the support guys. I will certainly be asking for advice soon and do updates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Formula 1 has coco & perlite in it, and then some organic stuff like worm castings which I suppose make it a hybrid between soil and coco. You still need to use salt based nutes with it (GHE floro). I was going to go coco perlite but it was suggested that the F1 offers more of a buffer for a noob grower. I’ll follow the recommended nute schedule but at 50% strength and keep an eye on the ladies. Thanks for the comments guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

It's real sad to me that we are so quick to floor somebody else.. I really think some more appreciation and les criticism is the way to go.. Im not taking sides here and I am a new bee as so many others... Sometimes we need to be straightforward and to the point but this guy did not want to sell a 4k light for 10k.. Come on man.. Represent... don't go over the edge just because you can... Have the 420 spirit for Pete's sake...1 point
