  1. My first crack at a New York styled cheese cake. I substituted a percentage of the recipes butter component with Dos-Si-Dos33(Barneys farm) cannabutter. Verdict: Gives you moderate effect. Tastes the bomb!.

  3. Been busy, kept forgetting to take photos. This is the veg tent on the 6th, looks a bit different now. As you can see I moved the autos to the back under the lowered light. aaaaand this is flower at the moment, bit messy - some very lanky plants this grow canopy isn't all that flat. There are not any dark spots, just the way my camera has taken the picture. I have been adding some plants to the flower tent as I feel they are ready, so they're at different stages. Some in pre-flowering and others are starting to form bud. Also some still need to stretch. Been dealing with some thrips and random bugs in the coco, I suspect its springtails. I feel I am winning the battle with the thrips though and you can see a little burn on some of the older leaves from some sprays. need to spend a bit more time and trim and neaten the plants.

  6. I wanted some Ace seeds so I ordered international from OAseeds since they offered courier delivery, got them last week and they shipped quite fast after the order went through with excellent stealth packaging. Also got Ortega from Mr Nice and Vitamin C from Gold Leaf Seeds, the rest of the seeds were freebies. Gonna be a lot of fun going through these seeds. I soaked an Orient Express fem last weekend and it popped up today just fine. Seedlings all looking good, once some of the autos in the greenhouse are close to done I'll probably start some Ortega and maybe Congo. The greenhouse seems to be doing fine with the new extraction fan, still stable and no signs of PM despite the constant rain. One of the circulation fans stopped working after load shedding so I still need to replace that. It's quite hard to take nice pictures when it's always cloudy though. Lost Coast Lemons doing good, but no sign of sex yet. The Northern Berry Gold is looking good, hope the lack of sun doesn't hamper it too bad. Glueberry coming along nicely. Hope the weather is less depressing in the future.

  7. GH has a range of terpene additives. They cost a bit and bring honestly NOTHING!!! The stuff you put into your feeding solution smells great.. but the results are just not to be found in the smoke itself. Tested the general Fruit taste on 3 different strains... no fruit taste at all.. nade niente nixo! We tested the Pineapple enhancer on Pineapple Express.. not sure it killed the taste.. as the 42FastBuds Pineapple Express where rather taste less. And I mean zero Pineapple taste.. potent yes.. tasty, not really, to be honest. Also tested the Pineapple additive on 2 batches on Pineapple.. both rather disappointing. We still have the Banana and Blueberry to test.. but after the Fruity and Pineapple results, not even in the mood to try, might ruin the flavors even, the Pineapple was so unbelievable tasteless. Nice idea.. but that product resulted in all tests as a waste of money.. so I suggest not to waste your time with it.. not cheap either... so when I think about the shipping cost.. I give this one to General Hydroponics for wasting my time and offering a fake product And a link to see what product we talk about.. if you want to try.. hehehe I warned you https://ecogardensupply.com/Flora-Nectar-Pineapple-Rush-1-gal.html?category_id=351

  8. I saw my gat a few weeks back. Tried germinating in tea bags. Read somewhere that it's great. After 2 weeks my plants still hadn't grown their second set of leaves. Thank goodness i managed to save them. TEA BAG'S ARE A NO GO! DON'T TRY IT!!! They are now 5 weeks in and loving life. As for straight up planting, FF and organics matter living soil is the tits.

  11. Glass is the way to go. Your worst enemy here is light/UV and fluctuating temps and high RH. Got a few jars stashed in a dark cupboard that was chosen because the temps and RH fluctuate the least. Some jars going on 10mnths now, some strains develop more flavour and smoothness with a longer cure.

  12. So Growmies... I'm not sure if this is the correct spot.. It's not a 420 friendly spot as per say... But this lovely lady started a Litle nersary slash Hydro slash coffee shop... I just love the idea that she has FF, Just Cannabis ext on her shelves for affordable prices.. I believe in supporting local and even more so when people don't just want to make a quick $. So plze if you in the Northern Suburbs of CPT, pop in and speak to Tracy.. Have a Iced coffee by Scorpio Coffees and browse through the Nic Nacs... She also have companion plants, pots, veggies and so forth available... Below her location... Check it out... 33°54'04.6"S 18°42'25.9"E https://maps.app.goo.gl/j1ZdVFGLxR7BYLTM8

  13. Been a busy past week, harvested a couple plants and after giving them a bud wash, they are drying. I transplanted my two Pure African sativa autos from Green Smoke Room after three weeks in the veg tent into the greenhouse and didn't seem to see any slowing of growth. My Alien OG from Green Smoke Room is trying it's best to become a Christmas tree, just a super wide plant. Trump's Cookie Jar auto by President seeds still chugging along taking it's time. Dosidos auto by Barneys Farm looking good, want to start another properly soon. Three new autos a few days old, Purple Merkel by President Seeds, Black Cream auto by Sweet Seeds, and Lavender Best by bulk seedbank. I started these seeds out soaking in a cup of distilled water for around a day and then just putting the seed into a popcorn bucket with half seedling mix in the top and organics matter living soil in the bottom half. I like these popcorn buckets as they are tall and easy to cut drainage holes into and when you want to transplant you can just cut it off easily without disturbing the roots. The seedlings all came up after two days and were given some explogro to help the roots. They will be transplanted into the greenhouse after three weeks into Organics Matter living soil. Light in Veg tent is a Liontree 100W LED double barrel advanced.

  22. Very well camouflaged, I guess this is the whole purpose though. lol Not sure if pyrol would work for that pest, perhaps a mixture of pyrol and neem. Otherwise you could try beauveria bassiana - but keep in mind the effect it may have on other bugs nearby.

  24. Grasshopper types are difficult cause you dont really want to spray any insecticide on a plant you will be consuming later. Not sure if neem or pyrol might work as a deterrant. Other than building a nethouse or tunnel to keep them out, otherwise daily inspection does work.

  25. @PsyCLown Yeah the plan is to have 2 x 10L pots. I measured 30cm from the highest the light can go and I get about 80-90cm max plant height, from soil. That's why I'm practicing training on the bag seed gals, trying for an even canopy. But if the Totemic seeds don't pop for whatever reason then I will just hope at least 3 of these are female and flower them in the cupboard. @Bakstein420 I hear you about humidity. It gets to 60-65% when the lights are off, highest was 74% on the first night but the fan was off, lesson quickly learned. What extractor do you use and do you use a carbon filter with it? I'm thinking of getting this fan, https://growguru.co.za/products/in-line-duct-fan-td-silent With acoustic ducting it should be on the quiet side. Is running the exhaust back out into the same room advisable? I would prefer not to have a suspicious duct hanging out of my window permanently. As far as nutes, I plan on using dirty hands inc. elemental blend as a top dressing in FF living soil, with tea every few weeks. For the current plants though I'm just using Nitrosol and Seagro.

  26. Lemon meringue. As I said above, this was a really awesome experience, totally uplifting, laughed my ass off and just had a good time. For me personally it would definitely give bubbelicious a run for its money, bubbelicious been my personal favourite.

  28. Agreed.. but if your soil mix is to hot things turn out badly... For beginners this is not advised..? I've gone straight into FF Premium Classic before and they love it.. It's just when you have expensive beans you tend to over think and screw up.. just my opinion.. When you just don't give a shit and JUST DO IT.. it works out fine...

  29. Good call bud.. I had the same last season with a real lucky strike with a great Swazi Pheno on Bag seed I've had for more than 10 years.. Picked the wrong spot and she did not get enough sun... Could kick myself... Will not plant straight into soil if I'm not certain she'll get full sun all day.. But I also harvested early and had a good amount of some real surprisingly good buds.. You saved a good amount and that will keep you bussy at least for a while.. Enjoy.. looking forward to the next one..

  30. You gotta keep em dry in flower and make sure there is good air flow. I also noticed alot of caterpillars and moths lately, they could also be the culprit.

  31. Just always add silicon first when mixing your nutes, then immediately pH back down to normal levels. Silicon is super alkaline and will 100% raise the pH of your feed and may cause deficiencies out of nowhere if you're not careful. I also only really recommend silicon for veg and preflower. I cut out additional silicon apart from the base amount in late flower.

  32. I am happy with the growth on most of the plants. They seem to be recovering well and new growth is explosive! This weekend I want to try and move some over to flower, not all are quite ready for flower so not all of them will go into flower. A quick picture I snapped last night, starting to look more like plants I typically have in my tent

  34. Started some new seeds, Dosidos auto from Barney's Farm, Northern Berry Gold from Green Smoke Room, and a Glueberry OG auto from Dutch passion(the Glueberry OG I harvested previously had a wonderfully strong berry/coffee liqueur smell, will be nice to see what it's like fully cured). The Purple Merkel, Lavender Best and Black Cream auto are around a week old now. This Alien OG from Green Smoke room has a wonderful fruity smell. The Pure African sativa's stretched quite a bit. The Trumps Cookie Jar auto seems to be getting a bit of frost and a little bit chunkier. Took a tester nug from the recently harvested and dried Sweet N Sour Mephisto, took a few hit's from my lotus vaporizer and it was a very nice strong relaxing euphoric head high, definitely gonna have to ration this one as I keep craving for more. Now to wait patiently for it to cure.
