Who's keen to take part in our Indoor Growoff this year set to kick off late April/Early May? We're still in the planning phase but here's what we can confirm right now: Seeds @Totemic will very generously be sponsoring his fem genetics to all participants this year. You will get 3 x Tortoni Feminised Seeds How to enter We're going to be having a buy in/entry ticket purchase for every entry this year. The entry fee will be around R265-00 and will cover the following: Your fem seeds - No charge Courier Fee - R115-00 Handling/Packaging Fee - R50-00 Competition purse fee - R100-00 (explained below) A primary reason for an entry fee purchase is for commitment. If you've paid in the entry fee you are more likely to take part in the competition. In the past there were plenty of guys who took advantage of the free beans and did not actually take part in the growoff. We're hoping the buy in will rectify that. The ticket purchase will be handled through the 420SA Store. Competition Purse This year I thought it would be a good idea to have a competition purse which gets split into 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I will be handling the purse and will keep things 100% transparent. We are still in the process of perfecting the growoff format and I feel that if sponsors aren't willing to jump onboard with big prizes we at least have some decent monies to grow for. Let me know your thoughts on the purse format, yay or nay? If you are interested in taking part in this year's Indoor Growoff we'd like to get an idea of how many of you are keen To sign up please follow this link https://www.420sa.co.za/sign-up/2021-indoor-growoff/13 points

You dont have to ask me twice! im in!! I rate some of the purse could go towards trophies for various catagories, or at least 1st 2nd and 3rd? I for one would muuuuch rather have a display of my successes over a prize of sorts. The respect and recognition that comes with a Trophy is second to none4 points

And some indoor Gelato pics, they are 3 weeks behind in flower stage. As you see.. I run the same messy jungle with photos too hehehe They went dark 10 minutes after the pic was taken. The outdoor Charlottes Web sativa swinging Lady develops some very sexy colors4 points

Some pics of the outdoor Gelato's from the 17 Feb.. ^^ I still have the Ruderalis standing around.. and after 3 months.. they decided to flower. 12 weeks of very slow Veg.. ^^ not sure I want to work with those genetics. I look further for a timer... My inner voice tells me to flush the more Indica leaning Gelato plant end this week.. flushing Photos in Feb is a bit of a head scratcher.. I think I just follow my inner feeling and see how it ends. The Sativa ones, still strong flowering, 1,2 weeks longer.3 points

Just because I enjoy them so much. As a seed bank, Ace is second to none in regards to information provided on each strain they sell. Got my eyes on the Malawi & Panama Standard, sounds interesting staying over the pond right now and still test out more genetics from the US, was a fun trip so far. Beside, I still feel like a blind dude stumbling around in a forest full of candy. Need to see again where i am going Somebody runs into a nice seed bank.. please post a link. https://aceseeds.org2 points

Invest in all the stonks. Nah, there's more news coming from the grow club sector than from private home grows. The Haze Club put in their case to the High Court last week regarding the SAPS shutting them down. The way things are going, grow clubs will have more "legality" soon than growing yourself at home. In terms of private growing, right now you can literally do what you want as long as you're not selling.2 points

My opinion is that it's only the worms. Spider mites you will see walking around, check under fan leaves for spider mite eggs. I had the same worm problem in my first grow and had to also remove them with a tweezer very early in the morning. Im not sure if you can spray anything during flower but perhaps some Margaret Roberts or Ludwig's, I know one of them makes an organic spray for worms. Be sure to remove the worms asap otherwise bud rot will set in and you should not smoke that.2 points

Welcome to the life of a Cannabis cultivator... Stoney worms... Hate them... Some extra care and attentiveness will be needed in the weeks to come.. You did well by spotting them and removing them now... but you'll have to check daily in the morning and late afternoon especially... You need to rince off the worm poop.. it can cause bud rot.. Easiest way to find them is to check for the poop.. Easier to spot than these little worms... Don't give up bud... it's all part of the journey.. Good luck and enjoy..2 points

Howzit bud.. Good read.. You might have spider mites but in my experience if you have webs like that and it is from spider mites you will see them crawling all over.. I've seen guys remove them with a vacume cleaner. I honestly think you have a worm problem only.. But if I could see the plant infront of me I might think different.. Nuke MJ and keep a close eye on her.. You still have at least 7-8 weeks of flower if I am not mistaken.. Just spend time with her on a daily basis and check the underside of the leaves.. Have you sprayed her yet?1 point

I have heard of people using sunlight liquid as a spreading agent, but never tried it myself. I use a proper spreader from a bottle, an organic one - contains terpenes. Yes, you can use both neem and pyrol together. Use both at their lowest dosage to start with though otherwise you can burn your plants. No issue with mixing the two in the same bottle, easier when done this way. The sprays do smell a bit, so maybe spray the plants in a bathroom or shower which you can easily rinse the spray out of afterwards.1 point

BB is a fungus which attacks the pests, works on more than just worms though and if the bugs come in contact with other bugs it can spread to those other bugs. Quite sensitive the spores and have a relatively short lifespan, best to be kept in the fridge and used with dechlorinated water. @Wulf you could use both, pyrol is more a contact killer where neem can kill on contact as well as when consumed by the pest. Neem is perhaps better for prevention and pyrol for if you have a problem. I am thinking pyrol may be better as it does break down a few hours after being sprayed onto the plant. Do not use the full strength, start at the low dose otherwise you may burn the leaves on your plant. Make sure you get a spreading agent as well to avoid the spray from forming drops and rolling off the leaves.1 point

It's slightly less, but not by much, let's just say you can't touch it for more than a second lol Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk1 point

So I ended up going for another acdc floodlight to add to the existing 150w I bought last year. Here is where it gets interesting, the new module is bigger and the leads more spaced out for more or less the same price of the old model. Does anyone know what leds these things use? Mararet Roberts also has a product for worms. Contains the bacteria Bauvaria Baussinia that stops the worms digestive system, they basically die from hunger, but it does take a day or 2 to start working. Its a granulated powder that contains the bacteria, you mix with water and apply with a garden pump sprayer. I have used it with good success and its now part of my IPM as it can be sprayed dirimg flower.1 point

I have seen some seriously frosty phenos of the Deluxe with super low yields. So I do prefer the pheno that I have.1 point

Welcome! I created a thread a while ago asking a similar question, you can take a look here: https://www.420sa.co.za/topic/4423-some-of-the-better-autos-you-have-grown/1 point

Eish. Spider mites will also leave spots / marks on your leaves (similar to thrips). So monitor and see. I am sure you can hose the plant down to get rid of the poop, just with a gentle spray. With the plant being outdoors, I am always worried about spraying pesticides and the effect it may have on some of the good bugs. Perhaps get some pyrol, bring the plants in at night and give them a good spray with pyrol and leave them inside for the night. In the morning take them out again - for just incase.1 point

Ahh ok, I have all 3 of those in flower at the moment along with a very frosty pheno of Sugarcane. Please let me know how the other strains turn out in comparison!1 point

The webs I removed with ear buds and then did a bud wash after cutting the plant down. Im unfortunately not in a position to give advice regarding the removal of the buds, perhaps someone with more experience will help you with that.1 point

Older auto strains was not very good. I would suggest looking at all the newer auto's on the market lile fast buds and ethos. I would.also suggest you buy newer stock that just came into the country. The longer seeds sit on the shelves the less likely they are to germinate.1 point

I was three years ago on green crack not sure there is a auto. What you should easy find is a silver lemon haze, jack herer or any sour diesel in auto version. Their terpene profile should fit your search criteria, for sure more out there but those jump my mind right away.1 point

Not a lot of leaf on that plant, must be a pleasure to trim! For a sugarcane, one expects a bit more frost but that still looks really good and may be better to have a pheno which is quick to trim but has a little less frost. Looks tasty!1 point

Weather is crap ^^ Had some spare time, took the Nikon out Outdoor Gelatos ... happy buggers and very fast flowering, put them outside 1 or 2 Jan.. have to check.. not sure anymore. But going pre and flower stage, not bad for 4 weeks.. The bend one also doing what it should And Indoor Autos last days.. I think I had topmax on for a bit to long ^^ but can't complain about the cola sizes All plants are from the same genetics.. so all will go for Terpene and Potency tests. Indoor photos just went 12/12 9 days ago. Lets see.. ^^ Auto vs Indoor Photo vs Outdoor Photo.... same batch of seeds, 42FastBuds. Curious about the result ^^ 18 plants will go for test in total.. I hope the lab gives me a discount1 point
