  2. For decent veg you need to provide 300-600ppfd to a plant so it sounds like you are on track here.

  3. You use 320 watt on a 3mx2.2m space? mhhhh how many micromol PAR you get on those heads? If you don't reach over 1200, the additional CO2 will have no effect at all. You will waste your money for zero effect. CO2 is the building block plants use to get their carbon from.. carbon based life form ^^.. If the plant gets a lot of light, the CO2 concentration will limit her grow speed. When you add CO2 in a artificial environment and add the light strength, you get more plant faster. The reason to use a CO2 generator system.. but that is more for the medical producers. Setting up a CO2 system needs more light as you had before or you had massively more light as needed (I personally do not think that your 320watt can produce the mmol to justify a CO2 generator). Adding the additional light will cause your ventilation and AC to most likely need an upgrade. Running 1300 watt light.. I use on a 1.2m x 3.6m area.. would have to go in the range of 2500-3000 watt light to make a CO2 generator reasonable.. getting rid of that heat.. I get gray hair right away hehehe AC costs to run will increase drastically. As said.. have fun and give it a try.. if you run a grow in a second tent with no CO2, you can measure how much money you blow for how much more yield.. and if you get to hot, you ruin your taste, so balancing the new CO2 system will take a few grows to dial in again.

  4. That's a rough one@SoloKush. Too many companies these days refuse to bear the responsibility of faulty products wether they be manufactured or live that they stock. Easy way of getting rid of old stock or a batch they know to be faulty. Your experience is precisely why I'm scared to order online. Due to covid-19 our small company has been closed since February last year and looking like we'll have to final curtain call in the next few months. Events industry hey. So my wife and myself have decided to go online with our nursery, events hire and a grow related department. My wife has a good name in the industry after 13 years of stella service second to none. What we've learnt is that after sales service is more important than the sale and make sure you have suppliers who will back you up. So to restore your faith in the supply chain be it a corporate or a start up I would like to offer you some beans. I've got a couple of Barney's Farm Violator Kush and some local breeders feminized and regular seeds to soften the blow. I'm Cape Town based so if you up county maybe share courier fees. PM me if you keen. Keep the faith brother, keep the faith. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  5. Yeah thanks bud. We've been having some cold evenings lately. I took a few cuttings a while back so I'm thinking maybe a winter grow and see what happens. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  6. If you do not run a lab like environment, I honestly wouldn't go that way. Will take you a bit to have all balanced and then you live with the cost.. as long as you do not want to break high yield records, I would stay away from CO2 additives, your cost go up (you need more light, more power, more cooling). If you go on out of curiosity.. nothing against, you only learn from trying.. just one very important rule: When ever you are in your grow room and you only start to feel a little dizzy, LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! CO2 can kill you faster as you think. Sensors can fail..

  8. How are you going to deal with humidity buildup? Invest another few K into a dehumidifier? Just how sealed off and isolated is your actual grow space. What is the size of the space around your grow. Ie. Is your tent in a room? How sealed is that room? Trying to seal off a grow space, and still cater for all the needed air exchange/minute, while keeping humidity and temperatures in range will be a feat on its own to dial in. Are you able to provide the plants with the DLI needed for the extra CO2...otherwise maintaining double ppm concentrations is a waste of money. Really I'm shooting in the dark here as you haven't shared details about your space, your lights etc.... It seems a super expensive, complicated move, for not wanting a higher yield...

  9. Relatively new grower here, busy with my 4th grow. My first grow started Dec 2019 and harvest around April 2020 (made lockdown a lot more bearable!). I immediately followed with the second grow and both the first and the second were quite successful considering my limited experience and equipment. We still have some left of those harvests. Both growths were in 2 space boxes, one with 90w CFLs, and the other a 100w general LED floodlight; nursery potting soil, Nutrasol and some good old Eastern Cape bag seed. Grew like a charm with minimal setbacks. The boxes look like this: Then I decided to upgrade to a tent etc and some autos and bag seed. What an utter disaster! I narrowed my failure down to wrong soil, high temperatures, overwatering and probably two much nutes! Oh ja, there was also a bad case of thrips, which I then proceeded to worsen by spraying the plants with double the recommended dose of pesticide, due to a miscalculation. Two of them turned a lovely shade of dead, the rest, let us just say were never the same again. So, I decided to retreat and regroup. I realised that unlike the previous grows, I am fuffing around too much. Overcomplicating it. I looked into how to simplify my grows and let the plants do their thing. I ended up buying better soil; fabric pots; at least one good light; proper extraction; and I also decided to stick to photoperiods for the time being. I am now a few weeks into the new grow and it’s not looking bad at all. Well one's a bit "wrinkly", but should be fine. Two feminised Super Sativas and one Transkei. The one in the plastic pot is a Transkei regular that I managed to save from the previous grow. It’s really just there because I am stubborn. And curious. Cheers.

  11. @Prom oh lights off humidity does rise with the ac on but its not much coz of the ac , average increases of 5 to 7% which is lights on humidity is 50% to 58% depending on the light intensity so lights off it increases 56% to 62%

  12. @Prom 320 watt X 10 320watt panels = 3200 watt with an excellent spread over the area.. I do have 2 additional panels which I might put up in flower I'd think that would be enough.. ive gotten good results without Co2 , last harvest in a 150X150 tent I yielded just over a gram a watt and was running 1040 watts of quantum boards. The new space has a 12000btu air-conditioning unit as that space gets quiet hot as the sun hits it from the outside for most of the day like up until 4pm , also Co2 would be good coz of the generally high temps in the new space.. so with the heat the 10paneps and ballast give off+the natural heat coz of the location of the space. With all of that said its ultimately a sealed space so Co2 would be the only option the above are just benefits using Co2 but I think it all fits in.. Please I would appreciate all the tips and tricks you can give to me

  13. I agree on the @Daggafontein Genetics and @Totemic seeds. 100% germination on daggafontein although I've only planted 3. Totemic seeds 42 from 45 germinated. Another local I've had good hit rates with is @Bay Seeds. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  15. If you want to up your game in regards to terpenes and potency, get a quantum flux meter.. would do that before doing anything with CO2

  16. All good bud thanks for the offer. I'd probably gift them forward anyway. Got a lot growing and plenty lined up. Someone once said: you can't get addicted to marijuana but you can get addicted to growing it. That's me at the moment. Keep well Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  17. Unfortunately the Lost Coast lemons got the chop, the female was throwing balls. Transplanted most of the veg tent into the greenhouse, only the Orient Express left going now. Might be getting some testers next week to run that have priority. Orient Express is going well so far. Northern Berry Gold was looking nice in the sun, started leaning from the weight so I need to add some support. Loving the leaves on the Sakura. Alien OG going alright. Will be nice to have more more plants in the greenhouse, hope everything stays stable.

  21. Hi folks. Day 63 into flower and buds maturing really nicely. So I thought it best to ditch the "mature by eye" old school method. Since I can still learn much more. And rather use the little microscope I have to help me along the way.. I wil most likely start to harvest some ladies on 65 days and up. Purple Queen Glookies Chocolate Haze Uppercut

  22. CG x Slurricane in the first pic starting to develop some nice size buds. Pic 2 and 3 is the Bruce Banner I thought I had trained to death. I put it in the shade house to die in [emoji3522]. She bounced back with nice sticky buds and super sweet aromas. Number 4 is Glamberry x Lemon Jedi OG. Also looking good. Must say all shade house plants are loving the environment. 24. Look at the big picture... the WHO has a say... and now there is little reason NOT to legalize cannabis in SA. Law not done, lets hope our law makers act according to the vibe of the time and not just to that criminalizing draft... with my pheno hunt... the draft would give me 15 years in prison... even the 1.2x1.2 with all the possible mothers, only 2 plants survive, rest goes compost heap... the draft not counting breeding and hunting at all. Perhaps i am a optimistic fool.. i hope it gets legalized in SA

  25. I also want to add.. I changed my inliners from the cheap shit ones.. to silent TD 500. Was a bit investment BUT.. to my surprise, my energy consumption dropped A LOT! The 4 6 inchers I had before used 630 Watts on the plug once spooled up. The 4 TD-500 draw 174 Watts.. that is a word for 24/7 running gear. I have them running only on medium, but that is just a nick less air moved compared to the old ones. My humidity control is still very good.. I just use 450 watts less electricity A TS3000 running for free. Yes, the TD-500 set me back 12k.. but that should be back in the wallet within a year. Eskom also announced a price hike 1 April, we go 16% up I started to order some solar panels ^^ will convert as much as I can. Not sure why I pay for electricity and have load shedding for years and years.

  27. My first thought here is thrips as you said, from a bug infestation point of view. What lights are your plants under? Are your plants getting enough light to utilize a full dose feeding schedule? How have you been feeding with the biobizz? Every watering? How often do you fertigate?

  29. Hey man unfortunately co2 meters are all gonna break the bank haha. Sounds like you have all your other limiting factors out of the way? Your plants are getting more light than they can use... Nutrients on point... Airflow and no watering problems? And have you sealed your tent 101%? Youre trying to push yourself to the next level in your grow? You are reaching breeders yeild markers and feel you have room to grow more? Then I think you are on the right track... But if you are not meeting all the above marks... Co2 is unfortunately not going to bump your yeilds up by that much. Co2 is a dangerous gas as it can displace oxygen in the room and raise the co2 to an uncomfortable level if you don't have a meter that can regulate your supply. Im not trying to discourage you... But I also don't want you to waste the gas and your time and not see a marked improvement in your yeilds

  30. Started smoking around the age 16 ,we were a bunch of friends that just wanted to experiment, we started with taxi rank weed , here in durban anything green was called dp after awhile we got to know about Swazi weed. Eventually as time went on I learnt about a higher quality weed which was grown indoors called 'skunk' back then in was R60 a gram but you had to buy a R300 banki to make it worthwhile for the dealer to come through, 300 bucks was a lot of money at the time so all the buddies use to put together money to buy skunk on the weekends. Now I grow my own because I seriously cant be paying 150 a g .weed also helps with my anxiety(excessive coke use in the past) and I love growing and blazing.

  31. Just because she's developing so nicely, I feel I need to share another picture of the lady. She really starts to smell strong now. Edit: I also feel, I need to support local upcoming businesses. This plant has been grown in "joumasesoil" soil. Check it out on instagram. I believe they'll start selling their soil soon.

  35. Hey Guys... So I ordered 20 Strawberrypie from Trophy.. Only 6 out of the 20 germed properly, I have had a 97.5% to 100% germ rate withbfastbuds seeds so far and I have germed a shit load of them.. 14 seeds were clearly duds as the other 6 are perfect.. I also germed afew big buddha cheese autos and afew gorilla cookies fastbuds and all germed.. So these 14 are clearly duds.. This is their response: Hi there. We are just the logistics department in charge of packaging and sending out parcels. We don't have grow experience but what we do know is that seeds are not guaranteed. As with anything in nature it unfortunately cannot be guaranteed. From our side Seeds are kept in the right condition for storage (temperature and humidity as well as away from sunlight and everything that is required) there are millions of factors that could have contributed to what happened. Well I'm frustrated at this.. any suggestions? I had 2 seeds out of 5 from sacred seeds that didn't germinate and they offered to replace those seeds with absolutely no issue.. no that is excellent service.. So am quite disappointed with Nico with this.. Guys pls beware and speak with the seedbank before ordering.. 3k seeds down the drain
