  1. yo man! you wont ever get banned from this forum for opening up our eyes to this decent attempt at fucking the general public over... thanks for this man. i doubt any one this forum could do anything about it either way... but when the next person decides to check out a review for Trophy seeds, they land here and decide to not spend their hard earned moola on this crap. and you have helped the whole forum stay away from them.

  2. Dude I don't want to get in trouble on the forum but, president seeds is a reseller who sells tiger one bulk seeds. Literally the cheapest feminized seeds you can buy online. 100 euros for 100 seeds. He relabels them as president seeds. It's the same guy who owns zootly and simba seeds. His images of the strains are photoshopped and fake. His descriptions never mention any breeders. He is selling cheap marked down seeds from tiger bulk for R140 a seed. Here's proof. I really dont want to get banned off this forum but I keep seeing people have issues with there seeds.

  3. I tried President seeds as well. I went to a seed drop and ended buying a pack of gorilla Kim auto for that colours. The 2/3 seeds that germinated plants ended up stunted and provided me 20grams in total I know there is many factors (other than poor genetics) that could have caused this however, ran it with OG Kush auto from dinafem and they flourished under the same conditions so won’t ever buy from them again. The buds did look attractive though

  4. No idea what momo is, gonna have to Google that. My mother, my wife (fiance at the time) and myself were walking around the waterfront when my wife spotted BOB. Without thinking she blurted out ' there's our bong '. We'd been looking for a bong for awhile. Next thing my mother walks into the shop and buys it. Bring Our Bong is what you'd usually hear my wife say before a braai. BOB. But I'm gonna enjoy this new one [emoji16]. Thanks once again to all. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  6. Hiya @Cannabist, and other members reading this thread, not directed at @Cannabistalone... Perspective. From the consumers point of view now. We paid for a premium product, we expect one. Most of us have honour so we don't sit around plotting to rob seed banks, ja those arse holes do exist, I accept that, but then you have to accept that there are sum dodgy dealers/seedbanks/resellers? I think the point is this, imagine if they did replace the OPs seeds, then he would be here giving a shout out to these guys and others like myself would go check them out...A happy customer will send you other prospects. Also forums like this exist, so that WE can all help each other learn...why make the mistake yourself, rather learn from those more wiser than you, and nothing can beat first hand experience, good and bad... What ever happened to customer care? Ps, if I'm not mistaken the OP had a similar experience but was replaced by fast buds themselves, I stand corrected on this. That's what I call customer ❤ Personally I will only ever buy seeds that come in breeder packs, directly from the breeder, sealed with a tracking number from the breeder that you can go verify for yourself online, just like those from @Sacred Seeds, Merlin u rock man! See thats me giving a shout out to these okes, customer care was tops! But it was @Bakstein420 who told me about sacred seeds and so on and so on and it was @Stinger96 who told me about the forum in the first place, and so on and so on..

  7. As a seedbank, it's hard because there is no way for us to know what the client did. They could have done "x", non-germ and google after realizing the mistake, then tell us they did the thing they just googled. If the client is knowledgeable and has some social presence where we can see previous grows, we will replace. Maybe a good rule is to have a grow log here of each step.. What is great now is if it's someone's first time, we point them to the "free seed" offering and they get like 5 seeds to start and a super low cost.

  8. It's modugrow... Just took a glance at mine, I think the one in the pic is a slightly updated version and the mounting brackets look a bit better but it's the same light. I did a small write up on the unit not long ago. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  14. Many apologies for the delay in this prize announcement. We had a bit of a hickup waiting for a voting panel member who hasn't logged into the forum for a while. We eventually decided to discount his vote for this month and went with 6 votes from the voting panel, usually there are 7. And the winners are... 2nd Place @Onion This came down to a combination of votes for multiple of his/her pics that got nominated 1st Place @DamDave Well done guys. I'll be contacting you by PM shortly A big thank you to our competition sponsors @PASSTHEDUTCH & @THCSA

  15. Open manual is fun in the beginning... like a friend, she opened a guest house here. Na, i can hose water my garden. Guess how long it took her to ask to install a automated irrigation system? You have a range to stay in, below little addon effect, above even bad for your plants growth, 900 to 1100ppm. I would let a sensor do the job and try to keep it around 1000ppm during light cycle. And think into that direction, you would go skydive with a home made parachute? if, then stay rather on the safe side, get a product people recommend for indoor growing. Turning your gas on and off by hand is as weird as turning your light cycles on and off by hand... nobody does that over longer time before you get a timer for your plug.

  16. Sometimes a quick chat brings new points to think into. I got some input from the mentioned source, love Telegram hehehe You need to vent the room, you are not getting around it.. or you plan to use some kind of scuba tank and breather to work in that room (joke). Reason is simple. You shouldn't enter the room with a concentration of 600ppm of CO2 and above.. and you also shouldn't go over 1100ppm but stick over 900ppm for your light cycle, over 1100ppm it hurts more as it helps. What means.. you can't enter during light time and can only enter during dark time after venting.. or you vent during light and have to refill your CO2 ambient concentration to get the benefit back. The sensor has a rs232 interface.. if you connect it to a controller and a stepper motor, you could get it handled automatically. ^^ Was my suggestion to your regulator.. he recommends more a system made to work in combination, meter and release valve. Saver, more expensive. So directly spoken.. you walk into that room without thinking to much.. might be the last you do. The concentration you work with is lethal. Mhh.. I think I go that way when I have employees

  18. hehehe ok, 10 x 320 is sexy for that space.. 3200 is in the right number area. But to hang your lights correct, the Quantum Flux Meter would help.. pity not cheap those toys. Closed environments are tricky, as you really have to get all parameters right yourself. In any case log your humidity in a full grow to check you are in the green during the heavy respiration phase (dark time) when the plants have some size. If you can keep your humidity in the right area.. with that climate control ^^ should get some serious tasty weed As the gas can kill you, always work with a backup sensor. I would install one with a reading outside the door and one when you enter. If both show the same result, you can enter. Otherwise you better check before you work in that room. You can't smell CO2.. and you need to check that your lower part is ventilated extra well, CO2 sinks to the ground as heavier as the usual air mix. So place your sensors low. If your AC can handle the heat the lights will produce, you should have no issues.. depending on your humidity log, you might need an additional dehumidifier.. or your AC will have to switch to heating, to keep the temp stable. But if you run into humidity issues, venting the humid air to the outside, take in a fresh batch and get that cooled down again, is faster. I have very bad experience with mold and closed rooms. Perhaps I am just to much burned from that side.

  19. For decent veg you need to provide 300-600ppfd to a plant so it sounds like you are on track here.

  20. Golden words!!! After sales service is what retains the customer and more than that, there is no better advertising then word of mouth, so a happy customer will refer others and an unhappy one can potentially ruin your reputation. @DamDave wow dude! 22. That does look like a larval stage. As for the little ones, it could be a combination of overwatering and heat stress. Fixing that may be as simple as transplanting to a larger pot. It seems like rootzone issues really...

  24. With thrips you are going to have to treat systemically for a while. Thrips lay eggs inside the soft leaf tissues more often than on the leaf surface, so they are protected right up to the point of hatching. Thrips are the worst of the insects to get rid of...even mites are easier to control

  25. Thanks for laying down the facts bru. I don't like exploiting people that put effort in trying to sell their merchandise but this needed to be done. The only credit that i would give President seeds is their nice glass bottle packaging and beautifully edited images but that's it. Lets move on and support those that deserve to be supported! Happy growing chanas!

  28. Relatively new grower here, busy with my 4th grow. My first grow started Dec 2019 and harvest around April 2020 (made lockdown a lot more bearable!). I immediately followed with the second grow and both the first and the second were quite successful considering my limited experience and equipment. We still have some left of those harvests. Both growths were in 2 space boxes, one with 90w CFLs, and the other a 100w general LED floodlight; nursery potting soil, Nutrasol and some good old Eastern Cape bag seed. Grew like a charm with minimal setbacks. The boxes look like this: Then I decided to upgrade to a tent etc and some autos and bag seed. What an utter disaster! I narrowed my failure down to wrong soil, high temperatures, overwatering and probably two much nutes! Oh ja, there was also a bad case of thrips, which I then proceeded to worsen by spraying the plants with double the recommended dose of pesticide, due to a miscalculation. Two of them turned a lovely shade of dead, the rest, let us just say were never the same again. So, I decided to retreat and regroup. I realised that unlike the previous grows, I am fuffing around too much. Overcomplicating it. I looked into how to simplify my grows and let the plants do their thing. I ended up buying better soil; fabric pots; at least one good light; proper extraction; and I also decided to stick to photoperiods for the time being. I am now a few weeks into the new grow and it’s not looking bad at all. Well one's a bit "wrinkly", but should be fine. Two feminised Super Sativas and one Transkei. The one in the plastic pot is a Transkei regular that I managed to save from the previous grow. It’s really just there because I am stubborn. And curious. Cheers.

  30. Sounds good. I just have a couple of things I'd like to add, not sure how useful they could be to you though. Transplanting out of a fabric pot can be a pain sometimes because the tips of the roots grow into some of the fibers of the bag. I found that if you have a long blade or such, you can carefully run it between the fabric and the soil to kind of cut the root tips first, it'll make things easier when removing the bag and cause less soil to fall off the root ball initially. It just got a big tedious for me, its for that reason I went back to vegging in plastic - I also found that vegging in plastic develops a nice dense root ball for transplant and barely any soil is lost with no root damage. You could also drill small holes in the rim of the plastic pot for training purposes - it's much more rigid and works way better if you using HST. So yeah, I thinks that's it. Cheers bro, all the best. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  34. ^^ I just posted it in another post.. I got told you run CO2 concentration between 900 and 1100 ppm Yes, I agree, bud burn mainly happens when there is not enough air flow. My LED are just warm.. and I can keep my hand on all the time.. there is no chance to burn my plants, even they touch the light. The cooler your lights, the more efficient they run.. and the less they burn anything I run my lights during night and go dark during the day. Not nice to maintain, but I can run most of the time without AC support and stay below 26 even in Summer. If they get a tick to warm, is during dark time. But AC not letting it go over 28. Winter I try to stay around 20 dead. With every fuckup we learn ^^ or should learn. Don't repeat the mistake and your next run is smoother but the little burn is also not to tragic.. plant is short stressed, just keep them praying.

  35. I have also heard some not so great feedback from Trophy seeds and I try and avoid them, only use them if they have a pack of seeds which cannot be sourced locally from other seedbanks. Curious as to what Fastbuds say when they reply to you. Hopefully they will make a plan to sort you out.

  36. @Prom oh lights off humidity does rise with the ac on but its not much coz of the ac , average increases of 5 to 7% which is lights on humidity is 50% to 58% depending on the light intensity so lights off it increases 56% to 62%

  37. Don't you think a carbon filter and exchanging air would be way cheaper compared to close the room 100% and use a CO2 generator? You can't even use the cool temps of the nights in that system.. as you better insolate that chamber to not have the AC go berserk during day time. Cooking climate in a single room is no easy task.. in most cases venting is easier to get rid of excess humidity. If the AC keep the temp more or less stable within the day / night cycles, yes, that can work.. but is no cheap system to run. Log your humidity and check how it behaves when you watered your plants and it switches to nigh cycle.. if your AC can compensate that.. yes, should work.. otherwise, closed room.. mold will call in a rave ^^ I made my biggest step towards better weed with gaining control over my lights.. and before I would think into a CO2 generator, my grow flat will have perfect climate control.. and I mean 1 degree fluctuation during flower max. With the South African wall constructions, at least where i live.. I might have to build something proper insolated to get that goal going without building my own private Koeberg Power station But as said before.. if @SoloKush is on a mission.. then follow the path you see in front of you trying new stuff takes the boredom out of the routine of growing. Just treat that gas with the needed respect. Rest, enjoy the trip ^^

  38. Check that your temps not going over 30 in any case.. 26 is the last bit of the sweet spot. Na, can't be the autopot res.. the plant would show deficiency on all buds and leaves.. not just the endings. MORE air ^^ if your LED are able to do that, do yourself a favor and add another fan. Baking your buds ruins the flavors 100%.. keep em cool, then distance is not your issue as fast. If your LED gets just hot, add a cooling fan to it.. worth it I wouldn't trim, that is just damage that will stay. you get it off easy with a trim brush when you dress the buds

  40. That's a rough one@SoloKush. Too many companies these days refuse to bear the responsibility of faulty products wether they be manufactured or live that they stock. Easy way of getting rid of old stock or a batch they know to be faulty. Your experience is precisely why I'm scared to order online. Due to covid-19 our small company has been closed since February last year and looking like we'll have to final curtain call in the next few months. Events industry hey. So my wife and myself have decided to go online with our nursery, events hire and a grow related department. My wife has a good name in the industry after 13 years of stella service second to none. What we've learnt is that after sales service is more important than the sale and make sure you have suppliers who will back you up. So to restore your faith in the supply chain be it a corporate or a start up I would like to offer you some beans. I've got a couple of Barney's Farm Violator Kush and some local breeders feminized and regular seeds to soften the blow. I'm Cape Town based so if you up county maybe share courier fees. PM me if you keen. Keep the faith brother, keep the faith. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  41. If you do not run a lab like environment, I honestly wouldn't go that way. Will take you a bit to have all balanced and then you live with the cost.. as long as you do not want to break high yield records, I would stay away from CO2 additives, your cost go up (you need more light, more power, more cooling). If you go on out of curiosity.. nothing against, you only learn from trying.. just one very important rule: When ever you are in your grow room and you only start to feel a little dizzy, LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! CO2 can kill you faster as you think. Sensors can fail..

  42. How are you going to deal with humidity buildup? Invest another few K into a dehumidifier? Just how sealed off and isolated is your actual grow space. What is the size of the space around your grow. Ie. Is your tent in a room? How sealed is that room? Trying to seal off a grow space, and still cater for all the needed air exchange/minute, while keeping humidity and temperatures in range will be a feat on its own to dial in. Are you able to provide the plants with the DLI needed for the extra CO2...otherwise maintaining double ppm concentrations is a waste of money. Really I'm shooting in the dark here as you haven't shared details about your space, your lights etc.... It seems a super expensive, complicated move, for not wanting a higher yield...

  43. I hear you guys, and well done to those that made their goals! I just broke my Feb detox, it was going ok till a few days ago I get a message that there's Tallymon and Tropicana Punch in the mix that I "have to try", couldnt help myself! Weakling! I don' think I was fully committed though, will have to get in the right mindset next time, this shit is not easy. Since lockdown I've been smoking too much for my pocket and tolerance.
