  5. Here are some macro shots of the tent. I'm happy with the variation in phenos. Im seeing and smelling, chocolope, gelato 33, and slurricane dominance in one tent.

  7. Sup 420SA fam, high time for a update. Had some issues with my phone corrupting photos on the SDcard. The hedge behind my plants is constantly gooing down leaves and old flowers. I put up a shadecloth to help catch some of it, also acting like a bit of a windbreak. Plants had way too much shade in the middle of the season due to the hedge. Campaigning with the landlord to trim them a bit this winter. I see my pictures uploaded sideways. Damn this phone

  8. You sure it's not just a male plant? And if it is hermie... Why would you want to get it's pollen at all? Only thing to do with hermes is chop chopa!!!

  9. The seed stores are basically resellers. They sell you the genetics they brought into the country. Its not exactly legal. I had the same issue with seeds I got from B&B. 4 of 10 came up. Luckily one was male. Did a small seed run and now I have hundreds of fresh seeds. No need to buy shit any more. If you do seeds once you will be hooked to the process. You don't need to start a new seed bank with the seeds just enough to keep you going.

  10. Last week I headed down the garden route to meet up with some like minded cannabis growers/breeders and it was a treat. My first stop in PE was the low light of the trip, disgruntled customer outside, damn expensive shop, very charming and knowledgeable shop assistant, but a damn weird owner. Rather leave the name out of this post and move onto the good stuff. Next stop was Turtle House, awesome setting and shop, lots to see, do and buy. It is primarily a legal shop selling a bunch of traditional medicines, teas, bongs, coffeeshop and growshop with a little library. Amazingly found a book I was published in, Cannabis Indica by Mel Thomas. Really did give me a hop in my step and quickly bought it. Next stop was to an activist and organic grower, medical user, OomBoom. What a wonderful experience, beautiful garden using permaculture principles and very knowledgeable too. Had a cup of green tea, some tasty joints and bought a couple of his very well branded tshirts. Next stop was St Francis Bay. There are two cannabis shops, one for CBD/THC medicine and the other other a CBD Vape Club called PineApple Express. It was a good time to stop and buy some craft beer from The Brewing Company, delicious pale ale.

  13. IMG_20210220_1202483120×4160 1.54 MB Stayed overnight at a very old friends house, had drinks and joints catching up during the evening with our family. Went for an early morning wake and bake walk through forests outside the town of Plett. Walked by Wiskey Creek Gorge and smoked it up. https://www.instagram.com/p/CLiwx9ysPSQ/ In the morning my friend wanted to take me to the local canna social club just down the road from him. Damn we drive through the gates of DankiPa farm, smell and see a beautiful garden on a hillside with a coffee shop overlooking a river and the sea. A simple signup form to become a member and as a member you reimburse to the Club the plant management fees in exchange for the produce. As per the constitution of South Africa.. Their cannabis garden is unreal. Organically grown outdoor variety of strains from original exodus cheese through to strawberry sherbert and a variety of pure sativa’s. Many of the plants are grown from clone by a seasoned master grower and his team. They manage a large space with many upliftment projects on the go. They have a local community of ladies rolling joints, providing them a sustainable salary, delivering perfectly rolled pre-rolled joints for club members to enjoy with a view. A couple joints later, we were late for lunch. Back through Port Elizabeth on the way back home and went to the Pottery coffee shop, nursery and social club. Their membership processing is a bit longer, but you can buy a day pass. I walked around their fully stocked shop of a headshop, custom glass rigs, bongs, grinders etc, also have a inhouse produced nutrient solutions and small growshop supplies store. I enjoyed a cup of coffee while speaking with the very talented owner of the social club, who was definatley in high spirits about the success within the community about this slick venue. Two cups of coffee and off to the latest growshop to open in Port Elizabeth with a dude from Sunshine coast Genetics. The Gro Bro The Gro Bro is a friendly, welcoming smile, clean shop, packed with indoor and outdoor products. The owner Hugo is a gem, keen to answer questions, show you around, talk about the best products for your growing needs. I was introduced to him via Sunshine Coast Genetics, another gem and had a lekker long conversation about growing cannabis, preventative maintenance, nutes etc. Loved the fact that he specializes in organics, his preferred method, however he does stock synthetics too for the commercial dudes. Saw many top brands in the shop, GH, Biobizz, Dirty Hands, Organic Matters, Umya Nutrients, the trim bin bag, some futuristic life time warranty grinders made from medical grade plastic endorsed by Snoop!!! And then my favorite, a top shelf of Fullmelt Filtration Bubble bags. I was sold, I knew this is my new favorite local grow shop. If you in the area, looking for knowledgeable service with a smile, Hugo at the Gro Bro is your man. 10 Frank Street, Newton Park. I will be back for sure. A couple more pictures of views over Buffalo Bay and some clones I collected along the way. *: By The Way Port Elizabeth has just changed its name to Gqeberha a couple days ago. So any mentions in future I mean Gqeberha. The Map route I travelled, from the sunshine coast through the garden route of South Africa.

  17. So after 2 weeks and a day hanging in the garage... I chopped the plants and trimmed off most of the remaining leaves. FASTBUDS Sour Diesel yielded 14g dry President seeds WW3 gave me 19g dry. Had another 5g mixed from both plants separated for fear of rotting that seemed to be ok. Roughly 38g off both plants... not as much as I'd hoped, but considering the rot issues I cant complain too much! Forgot closeups of the Diesel. Here are some of the WW3. Sorry for the shitty quality... tapatalk reduces them unless you pay and it's a toil getting pics onto my PC from phone. Think this one was the Diesel actually. Will get better pics next time I check on them from their Terploc bags. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

  19. Just published this article about The Hempress, an interview i did a couple weeks ago. Lady run businesses powered by hemp. The Hempress was founded during March 2020, the first lockdown and worldwide pandemic in about 100 years. Jamey ‘jameson’ Ries started sewing much needed masks out of 100% pure hemp after her fulltime managerial job at a local restaurant had become redundant during the several months of lockdown. A friend of hers offered her a bundle of hemp fabric, and the rest is history. Proudly South African, lady owned and powered by hemp. The Hempress is celebrating one year of business in the next couple of weeks. I was lucky enough to get an interview with Jamey at a pub/restaurant in Bathurst two weeks ago. She lives and runs her business from Port Alfred, the Eastern Cape and has servicing clients with custom hemp products, supplied through her online shop. Read more

  22. Yeah man, always a hectic ride, pushing the plants to their limit in that day 21-42 peak flowering period without pushing them over the edge, then turn down the lights a bit, dial back on the nutes and allow them to ripen.

  25. Next was a quick but way overdue stop in Knysna to meet a cannabis artist and activist from Cannabiz Art, Marylou Botha, a cannabis warrior. It was an awesome experience to finally meet her and her family in wonderful surroundings. Drank coffee in crooked handmade cups, smoked delicious weed and caught up on cannabis culture over a couple joints. She also kindly gifted me some of her handmade cannabis soap. I also got to meet a breeder known as Garden Route Genetics. Josh has been breeding for 15 years and kindly gave me some top strains, Black Kronic and Lilac Kronic. Next stop was in a town known as Plettenberg Bay. Its a buzzing town with so much on offer including great beaches, outdoor trails, shops, sun, sea, restaurants and cannabis activities. First stopped off at a very cool Hemp shop, Simple Seed, in the high street. Really nice selection of CBD and hemp items, from textiles to through to soaps, balms, scrubs, CBD oil, hemp hats. The owner was informed about all his products and knew lots about the benefits of hemp.

  26. How much light you have in the tent? Is a first that i see a feminized auto do that.... and in my personal opinion, i prefer Nirvana over Barnies Farm genetics, if we have to go dutch. For autos, go fastbuds or mephisto, you know you get decent material and not super complicated to get either. if you just wanna play around... have fun.. i wouldnt waste to much time on it. I would take the hermi out of the tent in any case...

  34. That Deluxe is so much better than any auto will ever be. That clone just needs a bit of size. That plant tripples in size when you switch it to flower. 200% strech.

  36. @Fridge I see man, well then let me help kick off the pro's and con's list of the options mentioned by @CreX get photos with the bit of extra physical labour from carrying in and out every day and a possibility of a normal harvest. or get autos, harvest a little less How about @StonerZN you got any other plants outside, or might that option work for you?

  37. @Chris Jay As in all cases, the knife will always cut both ways, or in this case "be able to" cut both ways. I just invest my hopes and energies where I think it needs to be. Hopefully legislation passes in our favour, if only our damn "leaders" can pull their heada out of their asses. In that case I don't invest too many hopes, because that's will just bring a person down. way down.... so I am fully aware of the limbo show. keeping in mind, though, how far we have come. like you said with all the cannabis infused products and such. I see cannabis products in every second pharmacy I go into. I have to say, I am almost certain we gona be the ball in our hands soon, we just gotta keep playing the game!!!

  38. Currently I extend daylight hours for a Deluxe Sugar Cane clone, I got from @SkunkPharm. We aren't yet in winter, but it would obviously start to flower if I wouldn't give it 6 hours extra under a small floodlight. In two weeks I'll stop giving it extra light and let the sun do it's thing. I am curious how that one turns out.

  39. I heard that vegging plants inside and bringing them outside once you want them to flower works, too in winter. But I still need to try that. Edit: @CreX re-reading your suggestion, I see that's what you meant by needing an indoor setup, right?

Just met the brothers and had a lovely time with them at their awesome venue. They have one of the most organised gardens I have ever seen, welcoming, knowledgeable with some top strains.
