The way I grow has evolved around my breeding. The idea of breeding in a controlled environment, consistancy in every input is key to replicate expression. So considering all, I split the plants life cycle into a rule of 3. 0-3 weeks - Embryo to seedling 3-6 weeks - Early veg, plant is focused on root development. 6-9 weeks - Veg, Plant has reached sexual maturity and is building on itself. Flip to 12/12 9-12 weeks - Preflower. Florigen hormone level drive the plant into flowering. 12-15 weeks - Peak Flowering. In this time the plant is going to produce all the floral mass it can in an attempt to get pollinated. (Now you can push plants past this and get more yield, but you are altering the bud shape as fox tails, top bulging etc.) 15-18 weeks - Ripening phase. Any pollination in this time is unlikely to produce viable seed, as the plant has reached its peak and the last of the calyxes start to swell. 18-21 weeks - Harvest window. Short flowering varieties will be ready with milky trichomes at 18, longer flowering at 21.7 points

Day 69 into flower and most of the ladies got the chop today. I am very happy with how well they have progressed and definitely have some things I will adapt and change in the next run. Only plant still left to harvest is the Crescendo RBXV2 as I think she can still go a couple of days and drying space is limited. Hoping for a nice and slow dry of between 7 to 14 days followed by a dry trim. Purple Queen Chocolate Haze Wedding Gelato Glookies Uppercut Hang Time Lone Ranger4 points

Aweh @EvenSteven No not as far as I've seen, must be a trick of the light as I took the pics early in the morning, colour seems a bit off. 3rd pic is a Purple Stilton, they do discolour but I doubt our Northcoast temps are low enough for that currently. 4th pic is one of my Fruitpunch f4 girls, this line hasnt shown any purpling yet. So its not expected. 5th pic is a (Purple) Pineapple Express (Pineapple Express x Purple Haze), last years girls did go very dark with the cold snaps. Hopefully they do the same this year as I'm phenohunting this cross. It would be the cherry on top so to speak. Last years P.P.E.2 points

This ''1000w'' led only has a 70w power supply or driver. Its output is 70w. This 110w Quantum Board has a 100w driver. Its output is a true 100w. This 2000w led only has a 100w driver. It may have 100x 20w led chips. but they never run at full power. This 3000w is listed as having 5850lm lumens and Lamp efficacy: 90 (lm / W) = So its actual driver is only 65w. This cheap 14w 6500k ''daylight led bulb has a 14w driver pushing 14 x 1w leds to the max.2 points

@lloyd81, take a feather out of @DamDave cap here... I promise you... If you can dump 800 on that light... You can find a few hundred extra for aomwthing that growers actually back and have good results with. Those blurple lights are so old tech... I mean... It will work... But why buy a 34cm CRT TV when you can buy a 42" LED fullHD with surround sound for a few hundred extra? I mean... You can... But do you really want to2 points

Evening guys and gals... So another week later and allot has changed.. I was gifted a few clones and the line up in the tent changed somewhat.. I'm awaiting the MA to finish to free up some space for some more of the LGO'S, Nevil's Haze and Step Child clones. I move the clones out the tent at lights off and move them to my room under a LED light to give them some more vege time.. The following pics are of the line up in the tent.. Most of the plants are very small but my plan is to flower them out and then decide wich ones are keepers.. Just published this article about The Hempress, an interview i did a couple weeks ago. Lady run businesses powered by hemp. The Hempress was founded during March 2020, the first lockdown and worldwide pandemic in about 100 years. Jamey ‘jameson’ Ries started sewing much needed masks out of 100% pure hemp after her fulltime managerial job at a local restaurant had become redundant during the several months of lockdown. A friend of hers offered her a bundle of hemp fabric, and the rest is history. Proudly South African, lady owned and powered by hemp. The Hempress is celebrating one year of business in the next couple of weeks. I was lucky enough to get an interview with Jamey at a pub/restaurant in Bathurst two weeks ago. She lives and runs her business from Port Alfred, the Eastern Cape and has servicing clients with custom hemp products, supplied through her online shop. Read more1 point

Looking very yummy. Any reason you prefer to dry trim? Tried it before and it was a pita. Prefer to wet trim and we also mist the buds with water before to prevent scissor hashing.1 point

Eishh....You need to be real carefull when buying online as indicated in above posts by @Bay Seeds Many of these so called growlights advertised wattages are terribly overstated on the websites, especially the chinese cheapy lights. Another question...Is 45w enough? Wouldnt you need more watts/light/ppfd for 8 plants? My cloning dome smd strips are 45w. The vegging clones are using 200w (1×100w led flood and 2x50w blurples ) and I dont believe it will be enough to veg them all the way.1 point

So the companion plants are coming along really nicely.. Glad that most survived my hot soil. Curious to see if they really do what is expected and they attract beneficial Insects.. Spotted a new mantis today but I don't think these plants attract them though..1 point

Yes sir 45w. It's either that or 6 of these 300 led bulbs, no details on watts. https://m.banggood.com/E27-60-or-126-or-200-or-300LED-Grow-Light-Bulb-Indoor-Plant-Hydroponic-Flower-Veg-Lamp-85-265V-p-1733272.html?act_poa=POA7253567&cur_warehouse=CN&rmmds=detail-bottom-alsolike1 point

From someone who has only been growing indoor for a year. Started with cfl's first grow. I was happy, hey I smoked my own home grow even if it wasn't pukka shit. Started investigating led's with the help of the forum and very quickly invested in QB's entry level bars available from @growopz for a few hundred bucks more. Best move ever. My first few grows I maxed my cabinet with as many plants as possible, trimmed, butchered and mutilated them under 1 overworked QB75. Over time I added to my light set up bit by bit, not that expensive if you able to save a bit instead of going to the pub or buying that pack of fags. I now have 2 x QB75's and an extra 30 watts side lighting. Back to the lights. I learnt the hard way in some people's opinion but that's me. I know what I'm talking about now. Check what diodes as there are a few good ones then the not so good ones. Then stick to what the light manufacturer recommends concerning cover area. 35w needed for 1 plant. I stand corrected on this one. So yeah, try and get more details on the light. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk1 point

Yeah man, always a hectic ride, pushing the plants to their limit in that day 21-42 peak flowering period without pushing them over the edge, then turn down the lights a bit, dial back on the nutes and allow them to ripen.1 point

Currently I extend daylight hours for a Deluxe Sugar Cane clone, I got from @SkunkPharm. We aren't yet in winter, but it would obviously start to flower if I wouldn't give it 6 hours extra under a small floodlight. In two weeks I'll stop giving it extra light and let the sun do it's thing. I am curious how that one turns out.1 point

Day 42 Downhill from here, as they move into their ripening phase. 3 to 4 more weeks to go.1 point

Week 4 The indoor nine are starting to get real bushy. The outdoor 33 are a week behind so I expect they'll be flexing their muscles this week. All looking healthy. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk1 point

Morning folks. So at the start of week 6 of flower I can already start seeing the buds fattening up real nicely. Tricome development is also on the increase. The smell is also quite distinct and leaves me with a smile.. It is clear for the flowering progress that I will most probably do a staggered harvest. Purple Queen has a recommended flowering time of 56 days/8 weeks but I will keep an eye and probably take her to 9 weeks. And my special clone might go up to 11 weeks. Upper Cut seems to be setting the pace with Tricome, smell and bud development. Oni hit it out of the park with this strain. I am quite excited to wrap up this grow and savour all the different flavours (and truth be told I am itching for my next grow) Wedding Gelato Old School Purple Queen Special Clone Chocolate Haze Upper Cut Glookies Clones Top View Tent Front View Tent Side View1 point

First week into flower and the stretch is real Most of the bud sites are starting to form and I am happy with the light penetration on the canopy. I am very excited as this is the most packed tent I have had to date. I am also running some clones in the middle to utilise space and to add something something to the end yield. Might be a good indication of a possible SOG with clones for a future run. There's not a lot of training or defoliation left for me to do. Most branches have started to set so now it's all about keeping the environmental controls in line and to ensure sufficient nutrient balance.1 point

I would like to invite everybody to share their breeding projects here with the breeding group if you wish. How to Post: Create your titles in the following manner. (I am open to suggestions this is just my attempt at this) Kinds of threads Lineup - This is a thread where you can post about your projects, you can reserve the second post for pictures to upload for future updates if first post gets too long. I will pin the Lineups submitted by breeders. Lineup thread title - Lineup: YourUsernameOnly Phenohunt - This is where you can post your phenohunts from your breeding projects. Phenohunting thread title - Phenohunt: YourStrainName + Gen - Breeder: YourUsernameOnly Strain - This is where you can showcase your strains that you have bred. Strain thread title - Strain: YourStrainName + Gen - Breeder: YourUsernameOnly For now I think that could keep a nice organised forum about our breeding projects, suggestions welcome. Have fun.1 point
