I did some defol last night. Hard to see with the pics, I was in a hurry so did not try take the best pics possible. The autos look much happier this morning, especially the Gelato, not droopy anymore. Before: After:

Taking the CW's tomorrow.. happy with the stand of the trichomes (bud from the middle of the plant). As I wash.. I do not let the sugar leaves go to amber. Curious what potency level I reached.. the machine will tell But not taking the color babe.. she needs a bit longer

It’s some of John Kempf’s regenerative agricultural works. They have a academy called advancing eco agriculture... that quite informative. They’ve done remarkable things on farms across America. Its not all die hard organic, they understand the farm, soil analysis and if necessary supplement a foliar to bring nutritional balance up to scratch while remediating the soil which can take some time, but not terribly. the most interesting of all is that he suggest that plants generally only photosynthesize at 15-20% of their potential, this is field test, no way applies to our indoor plants. But surely we still only scratching the surface. He pulls at strings that suggest plants that are able to photosynthesize 60% or more produce such an amount of secondary metabolites that the plants acquires complete immunity - this is another discussion amongst doctors and professors high up in the food chain, proving pest/disease resistant can be 100% overcome by holistic nutritional management. Most interesting. Brix overload!

I'd say give her a few more weeks, if she is more sativa based then perhaps harvest closer to end of April. If heavy indica then early to mid april. She looks quite sativa like though, so I think mid to end April will be a good rough time to harvest her.

i killed one of these a few years ago.... and then i googled it and i was so ashamed of myself afterwards... completely harmless beneficial spider that eats goggas that eat your plants... its a flower spider and is a good sign

Week 6 Once again I've managed to jumble up the pics. I'm a little embarrassed about the indoor shots as they are pre water pics. I might be developing a nutrient deficiency on top of the bad pics. Slight yellowing of the leaf edges. Bottom leaves for now. Other than that plants are happy. Shade house looking good although I pulled the first male today.

Hi there community! Was wondering if anybody could help me identify this beautiful, bright yellow spider? Forgive the quality of the image, but I think you can still see him pretty well. Completely yellow spider, slightly crab shaped. Saw her a few months ago, it seemed to have disappeared, but seems she's been there all along. I think it's a female because this leaf was folded, as if to make a little cove for her eggs, which i think is what's happening in this image. (can see that little fluff beneath her) I pulled the leaf off and quickly realised it could possibly be beneficial, so I've put the leaf back for the time being. Is this spider beneficial? Should I leave or remove it? having little spiders hatch on my plant doesn't sound like the most appealing, unless it's here to help. In the southern suburbs area of Cape Town if that helps. Soo as some of you may have seen, I have decided to try out some autos again. I grew some back in 2019, decided to try them out again and some better genetics this time around (hopefully). This is what I will be growing, so far just one of each. I soaked them on Saturday I think, then they went into paper towel and last night they all had tails so I quickly finished buffering and getting the coco prepared and into 20L fabric pots they go! I was contemplating starting in 23cm pots, then moving to 20L pots but decided against it as I do not want to disturb them with a transplant as they are auto flowers. I put some myco and trich powder into the coco when putting the seeds down, this morning there was a little more growth and I am hoping for some leaves by the end of tomorrow. Here they are in their pots last night. I am thinking I will pop another 2 seeds in a week or two and increase it to 6 autos, might even go for autos. See how space is. I am also contemplating whether I just let them becomes christmas trees and do no training on these autos or whether I do some LST - what do you guys think? LST or no training?

What's good, good people! I always find hidden facts/myths so interesting and I am sure all of us have one or two we don't generally discuss, but might always be worth the mention. This thread is for those who have heard something, anything, to give it a mention. If anyone knows if it's fact or myth, guide us. I'll start it off... The whole "OG" thing. Most will know this to stand for "Original Gangster". In most cases of generic slang terms, that is probably what it means, but when it comes to cannabis and a whole bunch of other plants it was used to catagorise those genetics that where grown by the ocean, coastal tolerant plants. It stands for "Ocean Grown". It wasn't untill much later that a certain demographic adopted the word like they where the ones who created it (gangsters), when they happened upon the coincidence that the "OG" could also mean "original gangster" and they liked the sound of it so much and have over used it to the point where the majority of cannabis enthusiasts think the strain is called "Original Gangster Kush". which would be the worst name for weed in my opinion. Funny tag, it wasn't even the original gangstars that used the term, but rather the modern trendy soyboys who think they're intimidating everyone by not being able to wear their pants correctly.

The story I've read while researching the origins of OG is something along the lines of. Dude was growing or knew the breeder that was growing along the California coast, some real good stuff. So this dude was sitting around at a party smok'n up a storm and recognized his strain/flavour. Asks the question ' hey where's this stuff from '? Guy replies it's Mountain Grown. Dude answers back ' na, it's Ocean Grown, it's my strain '. Fack or fiction? There are so many different opinions but above and Original Gandsta are the two main arguments. The clones and the White Afghan Skunk seem to be doing well. The Sakura male, I have one female sakura as the other seemed to have hermed from heat stress probably so I chopped it. I'll try and store some pollen and maybe let it go to town on one of the crescendo clones. Norther Berry Gold doing good, PM seems under control but still watching out for it. Prepped for the tester seeds, hope all goes well on that end.

I'd chop it. If you have any other plants in flower, you risk pollinating them and any other female plants around you. Even the seeds would be useless as they'll carry the hermie trait.

Ill get more pics. But after googling it's a hermie. Strange if iys due to stress, kept everything constant but only noticed with extreme heat it struggled to keep moisture. So best to destroy this hermie?

That is most certainly always the case. And you really don’t want to under do it. Because that’s possible as well. Theres new studies done regarding the bud formation phase and fruit fill stage. That’s making headway’s in Agri at the moment. These are 2 different phases in the reproductive stage that make all the difference in yeild, from a commercial stand point. The way nutritional needs and hormone influences switch all during the flowering stage. Imperative information I would imagine. I think the plants will tell you, I havnt looked at a nutrient dosages on bottles, but I hear it works best to start at half dose and work your up up to full? They put just the right amount of micro nutrient chelates. These vital nutrients are responsible for the higher that usual uptake of macros, mn and fe primarily, they will make sure your plant is photosynthesizing till the very end. These Micro nutrients are very rarely available in your traditional living soil.

But then what is classified as just enough? Each plant will consumes nutes differently and use different ratios of nutes, some may use more N and Ca than others. Give too little, plant won't flourish as well as it possibly could have. Typically when feeding nutes continuously , they will build up with time. We generally feed plants far more than they need, it's easier to monitor the amount of nutes plants use when doing hydro - nutes are suspended in the water. I believe they do not use much nutes at all compared to what we give them or what the feeding chart states in the bottle. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

This is my first effort at LST, and I have done some defol. These are like Bonzai plants, super small. Never got to the bottom of it but I assume maybe they should have stretched more in the beginning? So probably too much light too soon. Can anyone comment on that? I also made the mistake of leaving a 5cm space between the coco and the top of the pot... when watered and settled it dropped even lower, so the bottom fan leaves just just made it out of the pot. Anyway there are 5 ladies here, four Moby Dick (Dinafem) and one Blue Amnesia XXL in the smaller green pot. I had to put the AH into this tent’s Autopot res because it was such a late developer compared to the other three. It was quite a lot of work getting them into an more or less LST canopy, once they were into flower a week or two I backed off and just let them do their own thing. The main cola still dominates as the biggest bud on each plant. A short while ago I did another defol to open up the airflow and get light lower in the grow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like Totemic said, use one or the other, Fish Mix OR Grow. I only use Grow when flower starts, see no reason for the additional molasses during Veg. That table is for Autos or a bit hara-kiri Photo growing.. they swap 12/12 to early to my liking ^^ You start with Bloom when your plants go flower, not before. To early Bloom isn't actually good for them, you feed to much they don't need and still will try to store. Stick to Fish Mix during Veg and swap Fish and Grow during flower.. I stick for the last 3 weeks to Grow only as I prefer the added molasses. I do not use feeding tables for Photos, I decide to add more depending on size and stage of the plant. Autos are a bit easier in that direction.. you can just follow a matching feeding table.

Bro choose fish or grow.... Not both. You are heading for N toxicity and lockout if you continue with both. Bloom only gets used from week 3 of flower... Are you using it already? The biobizz chart assumes a flip to 12/12 with first 2 weeks on chart equal first 2 weeks of preflower, and from week 3 on chart is day 14 of flower If these are photoperiod plants, then you stick to the week 2 part of the schedule throughout veg, but choose one of the veg nutes not both. Then from the start of your 3rd week of flower.. Day 14, then you start with bloom.. The chart also doesn't stop with the veg nutes, while I personally drop them from the start of the 6th or 7th week

So flower is going well, some plants already seem to be performing really well, others not so much. Some are merely average at this point, hopefully they improve but not convinced. LSP, so far appears to be a very poor performer. Possibly a very long flower strain considering it went into flower same time as the others but still loads of pistils and not a lot of bud, not much frost either. Sugarcane, looking superb as expected. Frosty AF! Time will tell how quick she ripens and how well she yields. Frosted Apricots, not bad but does not look anything too special to be honest. Looks more or less like the average quality bud. Not in the most prime position in terms of lighting though but doing well. I did not take pics of the others, some are a bit difficult to get to. Jelly breath looks similar to the Frosted Apircots, Slurricane seems to be a bit frostier but its really in there and I cannot quite get to it at the moment. lol All the above strains are around 37 days / just over 5 weeks into flower.

Quick update on the autos... OG Kush. I am really liking this auto so far! Pluto Cut: LSD-25: Gelato... I really hope this is a once off or it starts to haul ass. Not that impressed with it in veg so far. All of them together:

Last weekend I went to the hydrobiz stash and dash thing since it was nearby, cannaclone was giving away free clones to everyone who showed up at the end. I got 3 Crescendo clones by Ethos and 1 Dirty Banana by In House. Very nice people, but it was kinda funny that someone called them to complain while we were waiting that most of the rasta bricks you had to find to win a prize were found by people who showed up early. Transplanted the Orient into the greenhouse, I'm loving this plant so far just super healthy and vigorous looking. Northern Berry Gold auto still going fine, hopefully will be able to harvest in a few weeks with no problems showing up. There was a little PM on a few leaves of the Glueberry OG auto which was worrying, think it might have been from when the power went out for a whole day as they had to replace a cable and it was raining. Been thinking of also switching the greenhouse to positive pressure. The Sakura's are looking good, pretty sure the one on the right is male. Decided to try out some tomato cages for support. Very vigorous growth from the Sakura's, quite impressed and I really hope I get a nice cherry pheno.

A quick update on my auto's, the OG Kush has been the fastest growing auto and has now started to go into pre-flower / stretch and is pushing pistils. Below is the Pluto Cut which has also been doing really well! The Gelato below is by far the slowest growing out of all the autos, hopefully it is happy to veg for longer to catch up in size. Could just be a bad seed, I have more Gelato seeds so will see when I run some autos again how it compares then. Last but not least, the LSD-25 is below which is growing slight faster and bigger than the Gelato but not quite at the same rate as the Ethos autos. A picture of all 4 together:

So last night I culled the Cookies & Cream as it turned out to be male. It has since been replaced by 2x Lime Drops (finally) which were put into flower last night and now the flower tent is FULL! .... until harvest. This will be a staggered harvest as I am sure you guys noticed I have been adding plants into flower in batches.

Update my side. Just took the plant outside. She's looking power so I've deemed her strong enough to brave the outdoors.

So took this pic last night quickly, this is what the flower tent looks like currently - looks a bit overgrown to be honest. lol The original plants are around 4 weeks into flower, bud is starting to form, frost is starting to build up and the tent smells delicious!

This particular auto will be grown outdoors with Organic Matters Living Soil and BioBizz nutes.

Did some defoliation last night in the flower tent, was much needed for light penetration and air flow. A very mess grow indeed, but this is what happens when you start with lanky plants which need to be trained and are quite tall already. The smaller ones in the front are a bit better as those were a bit smaller when I received them. Tent it starting to smell quite nice and I came out with my arms being a bit sticky after trying to get to the back to get rid of excess leaves. I love the smell of cannabis plants in flower.

So I finally finished setting up the flower tent properly last night as my fans arrived and I had cable ties (I use a looot of cable ties in my tents, seriously useful things they are!). Took some pics as a quick update. This is what my flower tent currently looks like, still got space to move over a few more plants once they are ready The top of my flower tent, as you can see its 4x 240W QB's and 2x 30cm box fans and lots of rope ratchets and cable ties. lol Veg tent, with the autos and cuttings. The baby plants at the back of the veg tent, still a few weeks before they will be going into flower.

Indeed it is! Such an awesome tent the Bud Box is! Mammoth can't come close in terms of quality, even the Secret Jardin DS and HS series are not on the same level as this BudBox in terms of quality - the material is great, poles are 19mm and powder coated black, corners are metal and they all clip together nicely.

Got my seeds sitting in the dome since yesterday should be able to get a concurrent grow going. I'll be doing my 3 x Pluto Cut plants outside.

I am happy with the growth on most of the plants. They seem to be recovering well and new growth is explosive! This weekend I want to try and move some over to flower, not all are quite ready for flower so not all of them will go into flower.
