I use this as a preventative measure. So far it works. Edit:It's AQ-sf. A fungus that eats the powdery mildew fungus.6 points
-
I have been using aq sf for my grow and spray it as a preventative and so far so good. I also have some sulphur for just incase, but would prefer not to use it during flower, or at least only use it during early flower before the bud has formed. Milk works alright as a temporary solution, like if you get it late in flower - I'd be happy to spray milk to keep the PM at bay while the trichs mature so I can harvest. Would be keen to try some Seranade, but not available locally and have struggled to find stock overseas to import. @Chris Jay if the product works and works well, awesome. If it is safe to use during flower with little to no negative side effects, even better and has lots of potential for sure!5 points

I'm so pleased to have just received my order from @Marijuana Seeds SA and really cant wait to plant them. Original Glue Fem GSC Auto Sherbet Cookies Fem Blue Cheese Auto Grease Monkey Fem These are definitely going to be logged and photographed in every detail, and hope you'll all come along for the journey with me. Proudly supporting this company since day one and because of their ethics, and have always had outstanding service from them, so will continue to grow with them. Thank you Family,4 points

This is what I've used and happy, and much safer in flower, and best to keep it in the fridge to keep the stuff fresh too.4 points

You can always pull one out of your pic archives. As long as you haven't entered the pic in previous comps4 points

Rodelization would be an other option to get feminized seeds.. letting them overshoot. The flowers they form are not Hermi related and proper XX male flowers (Nature FTW) ^^. For a fast shot.. I still would go colloidal with 30ppm. 12v battery and a silver coin.. need a pen.. or buy it from a shop. Health shops have often 250ppm colloidal silver solutions.. just dilute 10:1 and you are good to go and play. Just remember! DO NOT SMOKE THE WEED YOU SPRAYED!!!! The material you sprayed is for the compost heap.. not your lungs! Washing has no effect.. you have to dump it!!!!4 points

Geez, this thread guys. @DamDave I started a grow diary a while back where I used some STS (Silver Thiosulfate Solution) - a combination of Silver Nitrate and Sodium Thiosulfate. It works really well and is easy to use. As Prom said, once you spray some on the plant, you gotta toss the plant and cannot consume anything from the plant. OG and it's meaning... Well we still see it now a days I feel, people calling whatever bud they have a specific strain as it sells and it is what people want. People buying a Levi shirt for a couple hundred bucks compared to a cheaper one from Woolies which does not have a brand name on it. Brands sell, the fact we see soo many BMW 116i and 118i is further proof of this. Kak cars and terrible engines, but they are popular as it is a BMW and more affordable compared to some of the better BMW's which have better engines. The name became popular, make up some BS and call it whatever and if it catches on good for you. Your strain, whatever it is, is now in demand as you are referring to it as a more popular strain. Perhaps this played a role in the name and the confusion?3 points

I still use the same.. Serenade I enjoy my bottle full of zombified mold eating bacteria I sprayed twice a half dosage for preventing starting Feb and mid Feb.. clean as they can be3 points

Recently purchased some seeds from @Golden-Goose. Good communication from their side and overall a positive experience! Looking forward to grow these strains3 points

it was quite a debate as to whether to include dried bud as part of this months theme. in the end it was decided to just have live budshots to see what the peeps can put on show. very likely to have a dried bud theme in the near future though, so keep an eye out on this thread man!3 points

With colloidal silver, getting the right ppm of silver in solution is an issue. Then the second issue is that one needs to spray the plant/branch daily for the first 3 weeks of flower... Then there is still a high likelihood that it didn't work... So no pollen. With STS, you flip to 12/12, you spray the plant once every 5 days, 4 sprays total, with the last spray on day 20, and you going to get pollen, a lot of it by day 35. So to get pollination timing right, the pollen donor goes into flower 2 weeks before the seed producers.3 points

@Bay Seeds was generous enough to send us a crap load of sample packs while we wait for their new stock, so to keep the generosity going, we will send out 5 giveaways and cover the shipping. First 5 comments will each get a pack. Seeds are 3 seed packs and a mixture of pure lemon jedi og, lemon jedi cross with strawberry couch and mandarin cookies.2 points

Mildew gone in two days! You can't really get rid of mildew with a single application. Is hard to beat but easy to prevent. Don't immediately pick off the infected leaves. You need them to see if the treatment is working. Early in the morning, spray the plant down with peroxide and water mix ( 1 shot glass of peroxide with 1 L water) . Try to not let the soil get too soaked by this. A fine spray over the soil is enough. Try to not let any of the sprays run into the soil from this point on. I cover the pot of soil with a black bag. Wait 15 min and apply Baking powder and water spray ( 1 drop dish soap 1-liter water with 1 heaped tablespoon of baking powder. Try to not let this run into the soil. This will cause a sudden change of ph on the leaf surface. Wait 30 min or for the plant to dry completely. By this point, the sun should be out. Spray a 40% milk and water solution. The protein in the milk needs sunlight to work. After this dries you should see a noticeable reduction in mildew. It might even look gone. It's not. The next morning, spray the plant again with the peroxide and water mix at half strength. Apply Milk spray at noon. Clean water at dusk. The mildew colony should be dead by this point. Keep the sprays out of the soil and the plant will be ok. Good luck.2 points

That's the point.. loads of "entertaining" material comes from monasteries. Those bored monks just had to entertain them self.. and you do not really need a laboratory to select good genetics. A person knowing what he/she is doing, can do that... I use a lab, as I am not one of those ^^ I just want to be sure that my 6 months efforts are not going to waste because of my incompetent taste buds. If the lab and the testing group comes to the same results.. I might skip the lab for the next ones.. just want to see how wrong I am. A proper pheno hunt you also should do with regular seeds.. not with feminized So those monks had centuries to select.. imagine their genetics in those mountains. So trading a seed.. yeah.. very stable genetics, you get a good shot.. I still would prefer a cutting from the plant I fell in love with, then seeds she produced. Is like humping Kim Kardashian and hoping you get a copy of her ^^ not happening (both ways.. she will not let you hop on.. and genetics wise hehehe). So the main question at the end is... does OG Kush actually comes from a Hindu Kush Parent? .. or the guys just had a brain fart naming it like that? Like Nirvana calls their Blueberry Cheese.. Blue Cheese. Blue Cheese has NOTHING to do with blueberries Can name you a few delicious French Blue Cheeses and none has the slightest hint of blueberries what so ever hehehe2 points

The product sounds too good to be true. Multiple uses, applications, bio degradable, safe to use, gluten free and organic kind of thing, but waiting to hear back from them geeks who sit in labs making chemicals. The cool thing is they are considering starting a cannabis brand.2 points

I do now, and thank you for the welcome brother, and compliment, always appreciated. @PsyCLown I agree with milk, and used it before, as a side note and precaution, please if you do use milk, use the low fat, so your buds dont get that sour milk / lactose smell we love haha. Unless you wash the buds afterwards2 points

By the way welcome back @StickyD420, you might not remember me as I got "upgraded" from fridgedoor to fridge. Always enjoyed your bud porn man.2 points

Not selling anything, YETTTT. Market research cant be banned? Just asking about what solutions you guys have to WPM, something that is rife at the moment due to the tropical storms hitting our east coast. Thanks for sharing @Prom and @Fridge.2 points

See it sucks growing on rock.. but rock makes clouds rise.. what makes them rain off the excess water. They grow quite active in the valleys and there are a lot of them.. region is huge! Any picture taken over the tree line has very little vegetation.. but the people do not plant on rock either ^^ I had Indian Charas and Nepal.. is about the same if you compare same quality, same earthy, same potent. Afghan I only had hash, very black and easy to form, same as Nepal hash. Is more or less same consistency and taste is also very similar. But ran into a little article about India strains.. Many botanists believe Cannabis sativa to be native to India. Sativas are also known as narrow-leaf drug or NLD. On the other hand, pure Indicas (Known as broad-leaf drug or BLD) originate from a small area. This area spans parts of southern Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and a tiny portion of south-western China. Therefore, many cannabis experts claim that what people call Indicas should actually be called Afghanicas or BLD in order to avoid confusion. I learned something in that short read too ^^ Reading is fun hehehe2 points

You and your dry area ^^ Is very wet in the Hindu Kush The Hindu Kush is one of the great watersheds of Central Asia, forming part of the vast Alpine zone that stretches across Eurasia from east to west.2 points

It has always been like this, as long as it is a picture your took and not one from the internet and provided you have not entered into any previous SOTM, you can use it. So if it's a plant you grew 2 years ago and the picture has not been used, go for it and enter it!2 points

Your calculation is correct, but his isnt wrong either. He just uses a 240 driver for 140 watt load with a dimmer. Without a light meter... yeah, ok, but why i would not use strips, but 2 288 V2 boards, around 32$ a piece, knocks 100$ off the bill, uses the full wattage of the driver.. still leaves you clueless what distance to hang... what is important using 24 of those Stripes, would be very expensive... using just 140 watts on a 1.2x0.6 is very ambitious, buds might be more on the fluff side2 points

I was working in the tent with the Gelato selection, removing abandoned fan leaves for ... an hour. When I left the tent, my right arm was rather sticky and the smell made me imagine to wrap a paper around it and set it on fire. Thank god, I still got my right arm without any burn marks .. those plants are part of the Gelato I tackle the potency record at Canabliss.. lets see if I fail 28 March ^^ is fat in my agenda No1 (Sativa Dream, at least to me hehehe) No2, i had em praying from start to finish (fingers crossed, about 10 days to go). But temperatures escaped me a few times over 26 (<10 times), never over 28. Winter harvest might have more punch... so far I am a happy chap Meet E, she is one of my favorites in my Gelato pheno hunt. And just if you ask yourself... if I don't have a goal, i get bored2 points

I think we all having issues with powdery mildew at the moment, from Limpopo down to the western cape I have heard and seen. Guy showed me his plants yesterday, I actually want to record him saying sativa, its unique. He was so excited to show me his towering plants, and bang, it had powdery mildew all over the leaves, not trichomes. So strangely enough the day before another contact called me, saying I have someone you must meet, so went over and started chatting. Conferenced called into 3 other contacts talking about CBD oil ( blah ), cultivation ( cool ) , licensing ( blah ) and a new product that is especially fit for powdery mildew. So bottomline is wanted to ask what you guys use to combat powdery mildew, copper sulphate, hydrochloric acid , milk, good ol' Margret Roberts? Are you aware of the health implications of some of these products? How do you use it, when, during veg or flower? Would you consider trying a new product that could be launched soon and has multiple applications/benefits for hydroponics and water systems?1 point
-
Yes, but only during Veg and most get it during Flower. Great prevention spray thou for indoor. Need 2 max three till you swap to 12/12. Also.. prevention, I go 50% of the recommended. A full blast can stress your childs.1 point
-
i see a lot of other things mentioned , but not copper soap. i have had huge success after a single application of the stuff1 point
-
Yes you can use it, diluted. And you can even pH your water and spray that, as it cant live on a certain pH, high or low. But the best is to prevent and not cure, as with wpm, most of the time when you see it, it has taken hold and inside the plants system, therefore m6ch harder to stop or fight.1 point

Light proof is a bit difficult, but panty hose could work (a few layers). Would probably be one of the easier options.1 point

these mountains?? the wettests it gets is the flash flood when the ice melts here's a map to show rivers, dams and well everything looks like minimal rivers and dams, most water and glaciers are on the side of the Karakoram Mountain range, which is not part of the Hindu Kush Mountain range. so I don't think they would've called it Hindu Kush if it came from somewhere next to Hindu Kush. but who knows, not me....1 point

Hi to all my family, I'm new / back, and want to firstly apologize for suddenly going dark and after gaining such momentum and friends and family, went silent. It's not an excuse, but I lost my job before C19 and then that hit, and unfortunately I was weak and not finding work, put me into a mild depression, and it's been hard but I have slowly picked myself out of the hole and starting to pick up the tools and pieces again. This place was one of the only places that made me feel at home and I have really missed you all, those I made close friends with and the conversations and adventures with the new members who came after me that I've missed out on, has been the hardest part of this all for me. Time has come for me to put my full attention behind cannabis and this community, and that is what this time has taught me, it's my passion and dream to grow, meet like minded people, get educated and help educate, all for the love of Cannabis. Thank you for reading, blessings. StickyD4201 point

Very smart packages, sort of craft like too. Been happy with the seeds thus far, growing since Jan 25th, in veg the Juggling Canon Balls, and RooiBaard reg. Was for some reason caught by the pretty pictures of President seeds, and almost bought some last week, then decided to stick with GSR and my favorite @Marijuana Seeds SA and then saw the post about President on here, so very happy with my decision and choice. I'll be making a post about my seed that arrive tomorrow from Nirvana/ MSSA and cant wait to get those in the ground and review them. I've also started trying Autos and like them, and want to try the other local guys and guys here too, as you got to support your family. Wpm is mad right now for sure, every garden I see is full of it, especially outside and even normal vegetables that dont usually have it either, its crazy. I once had that bad indoors, and now I know what to do to avoid and so happy it's never got to me again. Very interested to hear about that new product, as I saw I think something nickel the other day which is the new neem or AQSF.1 point

I've smoked some proper Super Skunk back in the day that was very good. I know lots of guys still reminisce about the old Super Skunk. MSS - Massachusetts Super Skunk was a power strain that was used in the creation of Sour Diesel. Just remember, there is Super Skunk and then there is Super Skunk. The same can be said of many strains. White Widow, OG Kush, Chemdog/dawg. Breeders make claims. Those claims aren't always accurate. Sometimes they lose parent stock. Sometimes they simply lie about the origins of a cross. Especially if that cross contains an elite clone only like Chem 91. I've grown a few Nirvana strains, and have had fire from them. I've never grown or smoked Wonder Woman though. Their White Rhino was mind blowing. This was a good couple of years back now, so I have no idea what their gear is like now. Shot for your post bud. Keep them coming...1 point
