So I had a bit of a fuck up, due to the height of the plants and the weight of the colas... some plants fell down at the back of the tent and then some move fell over onto the other plants which pushed more plants over... a lot of plants had colas falling over so I had to get in there and try hang the colas up to keep them up until harvest which is not that long from now for some of the strains as some are very quick strains I believe. If I could get to the back of the tent, I could post pics of some other strains but you guys will have to wait a while. French Cookies, not sure I will grow this again: Frosted Apricots (I really really like this strain so far, hopefully the yield is good and smoke is good too): Exodus Cheese - big buds but lacking frost... This strain needs no introduction, the frost tells you what it is... Sugar cane: Blunicorn:6 points

@Budwizer hey brother. Thanx for the shout out. Finished up the trimming of the Crescendo RBXV2 this weekend. She was the last plant to get chopped at 71 day flower with a 12 day dry. She yielded 99 grams... Humidity went Karoo style the last couple of days in Gauteng. All in all ended up with a 320 gram dry trim weight. Will post an update on dried bud pics and smoke report shortly.. here is the Crescendo we finished up with just now..3 points

We launched out new look and feel and totally re-did our site. We had some funnies with duplicate orders and silly things so thought it would be best to migrate the products, clients and orders on to a fresh install. We have tried to put local seeds upfront and will be loading stock for the rest of the day. We have also dropped all the marketing and analytics tools so we are just focusing on word of mouth and a happy client base. No one likes to be tracked However will still use email marketing. Would really love some feedback, the good and the bad - In return will be giving away some local seeds to 3 randomly selected folk that give feedback. Will also be running a local seeds special next week.2 points

Hello folks. I'd like to see if there are any other sativa/landrace/heirloom lovers here. The weed that sends your mind on a trip while leaving your body in tact and sometimes giving energy. For me this type of high has anti depressant qualities and soothing on my psyche over long time periods - my "medicine". This topic is for discussion of pure sativa and almost pure sativa, anything knowingly hybrid with indica or high CBD plants is off topic. CBD is the enemy of a trip high. Thin leafed sativa landraces or heirloom plants are found mostly in the equatorial regions of the world from around 15Β° north and south of the equator. Its also thought that high altitudes can play a part in evolving thin leaved plants. I have found from my personal travels in southern Africa that coastal humid areas seem to have more thin leafed plants than inland areas. Since I live in a humid area myself, its tough to try and grow the inland plants here out of their climate because they are susceptible to powdery mildew. The popular thin leaf growing regions of the world are best separated into large areas sharing similar plant traits for eg. Thailand/Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam plants are very similar and share many common traits. Mexico/Panama/Guatemala/Honduras plants also very similar. Going further south in the Americas to Peru/Columbia/Brazil you start to see the change to broader leaf plants but its hard to get good examples of plants from these regions because cartels have been importing genetics since the 70s. There are quite a few isolated Columbian sativa that are pure that people have managed to keep around, but in the case of Brazil, I have yet to see one legitimate landrace sativa from there and its all "Crip" basically landrace x modern stuff. I guess this wouldn't be complete without some pics of the skinny girls. Here are some pics from other sativa growers, some friends of mine, some not. @Marijuana Seeds SA ye not questioning the credibility, just though we missed the boat on some packaging changes. e.g. Telling if we get old stock from looking at the packaging (Yes they have batch numbers aswell ). Like the old GHSC discs vs the black cards now etc..2 points

Let me lesson some concerns here Unfortunately we do not sell in retail packs as we ship our orders the exact same shipping method used by Nirvana Seedbank for their international clients. Due to the discreet packaging used, our seeds are packaged differently. But rest assured, our stock is fully legit and you are more than welcome to verify our stock's legitimacy with Nirvana directly at https://www.nirvanashop.com/about-nirvana-shop/official-distributors/ Hope that clarifies some concerns some may have2 points

it is very easy to over fertilize your ladies as is with the already tested nutrient solutions on the market. so as mentioned above, it would be better if you knew the ratios of the nutrients in the mix that you make so that you can adjust and improve on the stuff... but not knowing each product and mixing them together could produce much worse results than you were expecting. but if you do have a good understanding, you are likely going to mix something that will work well2 points

@Dr. Green Thumb never heard of it, not sure whether its organic or not. Got a link perhaps? Mixing nute lines is possible, but you should at least have a rough idea as to what you are doing.2 points

Hey guys! I am really looking forward to this grow. Objective is for personal breeding purposes. This will be my first time experimenting with breeding cannabis, any help is appreciated Currently growing Laughing Buddha (Barney's Farm) and Charlotte's Angel (Dutch Passion). Plan is to cross Novakane with these strains, as well as breeding Novakane F2 seeds. Novakane F1 seeds were sourced from @Totemic. On a side note, just a thank you from my part. The beans I ordered arrived swiftly, with a lot of freebies! The quality of these seeds are unmatched. Started germinating today, soaked 5 regular seeds for 30min in Explogrow. Afterwards transferring them to a 1:100 solution of Explogrow and pH 6 water for 12 hours. Am a fan of the paper-towel method, and have had great success placing said paper-towel inside a plastic bag on top of my router. Will do this next... As a side tip, if you going away or cant manage to be around for a few days, hit the plants with a good drenching of Neem, or AQSF, and then nothing (basically nothing) will touch it while you away. Preventative is always better than cure1 point
-
@Cannabist I assure you they are fresh from the breeders We continually rotate our stock with Nirvana directly to keep them fresh and ensure viability The packaging (for international clients) has always been the same (hence it seems old) as it is the most discreet and safest way so far. May I ask what you mean by GHSC discs?1 point

Yip that's how I got my Nirvana seeds as well from Marijuana SA. I was admittedly kinda worried initially because it's usually a red flag if a seed bank removes seeds from original packaging and then repackages. The worry is that the original seeds are either swapped out for some random jutt or the off chance that a packer accidentally repacks the wrong seed and sends you something else. However after having grown the seeds, they were obviously the strains I purchased so I was chilled. My assumption is that this is Marijuana SA's solution to the problem of selling packs of 1, 3, 5 etc and stock management. What happens when you have two packs of 3 seeds but you have 3 customers that would take 2 seeds each, what do you do? There are plenty of seed banks sitting with single seed packs all over the place. For me I could work with a single seed especially if it's a strain I've really been looking for, but how many of me are there? Most often that seed is probably just going to sit there for a long time. For a newbie it shouldn't really matter getting original packaging, it's nice, but for me it really gives me confidence that what I've got is genuine and that I am not going to be wasting my time. TLDR; You can trust Marijuana SA that the seeds you are ordering are the real deal regardless of the packaging. Edit: Ironically was smoking some Aurora Indica while typing this, grown from a seed purchased from Marijuana SA so there you have it, full circle1 point

Hey @Cannabist they come in the cards, in disguise and that also helps keep them safe from damage. How do you get them in from supplier? I'd imagine in bulk it would be a different story, just a guess.1 point

Not fun loosing plants. Drop us a pm, we have a pack of mixed autos we can't sell due to being lost over a year ago and found in our store room this week, can't garentee they will germinate but pretty sure they will. Happy to donate them. Think it's mixed autos from 00 seeds.1 point

We will tidy up the site tomorrow, mainly the breeder logos, some styling and mobile view Have uploaded around 80 percent of the stock, mainly international. Hopefully by end of tomorrow all the local stock we have now will be up and getting motherland genetics sometime is the week aswell. Also happy to report that we are a now a monthly donator to Fields of green for all - just need to send them our bio and related to be up on their site. Wanted to hold off till new site is sorted. Have an epic night guys.1 point

not much to update, but thought I'd show the girls very happy to see the 2 that started stressing is getting their colour back and looking better every day. few burnt tips here and there. definitly too much N for all of the girls. I'll give them numbers as in order of apeal, they all got all the same nutes and only two reacted so strong, so might just be weaker genetics. Zkittly Zizi #1 top view structure Zkittly Zizi #2 top view her structure - growth was also stunted Zkittly Zizi #3 top view her structure - also stunted a bit here is the Sour Lemon OG her structure will probably give them another 2 weeks then put them all in 30L pots then tie them back a bit more1 point

@Budwizer thanx bro much appreciated. I am already busy with the second grow on my strain journey. Got the next batch germinated and will run a new 6 strain diary shortly. Running some @Totemic Palomino and Tortoni alongside some TH seeds Bubblegum, Garden of Green Girl Scout Cookies, Braincake by Ripper and Twisted Helix by Inhouse. Then on to some old school genetics supplied by @Golden-Goose for the next run. For the love of growing1 point

Week 9. A few additions to the cupboard, 240W light, exhaust fan and scrog net. Did the last top dress and switched to 12/12 today. Feed alternates between plain water and molasses/seagro mix. I'm thinking of getting a bloom booster for weeks 3-7 of flower, will probably go with this https://zootly.co.za/product/freedom-farms-fire-juice-500ml/1 point

I was working in the tent with the Gelato selection, removing abandoned fan leaves for ... an hour. When I left the tent, my right arm was rather sticky and the smell made me imagine to wrap a paper around it and set it on fire. Thank god, I still got my right arm without any burn marks .. those plants are part of the Gelato I tackle the potency record at Canabliss.. lets see if I fail 28 March ^^ is fat in my agenda No1 (Sativa Dream, at least to me hehehe) No2, i had em praying from start to finish (fingers crossed, about 10 days to go). But temperatures escaped me a few times over 26 (<10 times), never over 28. Winter harvest might have more punch... so far I am a happy chap Meet E, she is one of my favorites in my Gelato pheno hunt. And just if you ask yourself... if I don't have a goal, i get bored1 point

Week 8. Looking happy under temporary 60W flood light. Next step for the cupboard is to cut intake and exhaust holes, and lightproof the doors. I ordered an inline fan, ducting, and a new light this week. Carbon filters are out of stock everywhere1 point
