Hello all, I am a new member and very excited to have the opportunity to expand my knowledge base. My interest is predominantly from a medical and technology perspective. Growing up I was taught that weed was really bad. My wife was diagnosed with cancer and the big investigation began, this is where cannabis entered my life. Six years later, I don't have a wife, but I'm hopefully a little wiser. All I can say is that we have been lied to, cheated by and unfairly been labeled by society, especially by those who don't have our best interests at heart. My business is predominantly supplying a range of equipment to the polymer converting industry. One of the exciting possibilities is the extraction of oils using ultrasound. The positive is that it's very quick very clean and very effective. The negative is that it's expensive. That's me in a nutshell4 points

it was time I had enough of the blurple, I keep getting busy for like 5 min before remembering to switch it off, then I look out the tent and everythings dark and it's an instant headache. anyway, think the girls recovered well from the stress put the scrog net up, might do another layer depending on how they grow out in the next few weeks put the flower light in, still on 18/6 maybe 3 weeks I'll flip to 12/12 wire management here helps me sleep like a baby at night3 points

Light wise you dont have to worry at all with autos. You can put em on a timer and what ever Eskom does, Eskom can do (PM way more a danger during load shedding). They are in no way photo period dependant. Use the power you saved for cooling and your terpenes say thank you when you smoke the weed.3 points

So i found 3 females in my pack I did kill 5 seeds from the pack being brave and stupid while drunk trying a new method of germination. I will be growing these out in 2 x 1.2m tents as I made cuttings from the mothers. Is it cool if I post pics here of the grows? One tent will have 4 clones of Headbanger #2 the other tent will have 2 clones of Headbanger #5 and Headbanger #7 each.3 points

Ay bud! welcome to the community!! terribly sorry to hear about the wife man... loss in any form is a real life melter . tell us more about this ultrasound extraction method2 points

So quick update, no pictures. Life has been crazy, will try take some pictures as soon as I get a chance to. I have harvested the first Sugarcane as well as Slurricane and Frosted Apricots and the Exodus Cheese. Jelly Breath is likely to follow sometime soon. The Lime Drops were culled a few weeks ago as well as I wanted a bit more space in my tent and was not happy with the way they were looking and had stretched and were falling over already in the pre-flowering phase.2 points

Sweet the clones will be going in the tents today or tomorrow depending on how much I can get done2 points

Yes, but extra light means extra heat, and I've already got a heat issue. I can't afford better ventilation/AC. If you look at the relevant information, you'll see that the possible benefit of all that excess light 1000+ is usually only able to be harnessed by experienced growers. I dunno, I guess I have to disagree with you, if you think a pretty freshly hatched plant needs much more than around 400. The middle two are getting more because they're closer to the light, around 575. The top bud, if you look at the pics, is only about 2cm taller than the rest of the canopy. So I'm super stoked with between 700-800 for my canopy at this early stage of flower. I've grown autos on all variations of lighting schedules, and have never personally noticed a difference. I dim the lights and do 24hrs for the convenience atm. I'm not making any claims. During shedding when on different schedules, there were often 2x periods of darkness per day, one of course, random (whether or not this could cause an auto to go into flower early was a concern, is it valid, not entirely sure). Running 24, it's one less variable I have to worry about. Do I want to change back to 20/4-18/6 and save some cash, deffo. Would I just go back to 24h when shedding kicks in, yes, so I leave it there for now. I appreciate the concern tho! Edit: Ok you've convinced me, going back to 18/6!!2 points

So upstairs we planted red clover and alfalfa to let the soil rest and recover after the lemon jedi cycle. A few random seeds germinated and we just let them go. We harvested the skunk1 and a few others. I lose less seeds if i dont trim.1 point

I have read so many reviews in the last couple of days regarding this strain but unfortunately its a bit above budget. Hopefully next year but its awesome that you stock such a strain. quality genetics dont come cheap unfortunately. and if youre sitting on quality, you cant let it go for cheap!!! hows the flowers man? should have maybe grown out a male to polinate a female and then you would have had hundreds of headbangers to try out hahaha1 point

Howzit bra, yoh you can grow ne? Grow goals for me, but I see baking there, and that's my jam. Edibles all day over here! Welcome1 point

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to the community for this shit behavior on my behalf. While I stand by what I have mentioned it's poor forum to not substantiate the claims. @Naughty.Psychonaut The intention was not to shit shit on your methods or your experiment. I've obviously upset your groove/offended you. I'm sorry dude.1 point

If the top bud gets a bit more... doesnt matter much. Just cant use the extra light. But the lower levels enjoy a bit more. I measure on the canape... not the top cola. With HID systems you worry heat and bleaching, LED not really. Good ventilation will keep the buds close to the light cool. With autos, doesnt matter what Escom does. 24/0 is a bit of a waste. Even autos enjoy a exhale phase.. they dont grow during that time, light or not. 18/6 or 20/4 works best in my experience. Only worries you have with autos during Eskom outage is your ventilation stopping and humidity going up. Even Eskom would go lv6... autos wouldnt get confused light wise. But as i ran 24/0 grows too... cant tell people not to do that. i cant say i measured more yield on 24/01 point

800 micromol are about the smalest amount to give them during flower... 400 is for veg even low. Potency will suffer with that little light. 400 micromol during flower will produce fluff buds... you need more light, bro go max on the dimmer and see how much more you get. As long as your buds dont bleach You took the pic after dark time? Leaves look a bit droopy.1 point

Thanks for the warm welcome bud. I'm growing indoor at the moment but keen to get some outdoor going next season. Running a small perpetual setup using coco/perlite. Just finished up a harvest of Runtz Muffin and Blue Cheese, Runtz Muffin came out really nice. I'll add some pics. Currently day 11 of my next flower run which is Slurricane 9, Queen Anne's Revenge and Forbidos. Want to do a few runs with these to try get the best out of them. Got in clones of PuTang and Platinum Gorilla the other day to add to the run after this.1 point

Aweh gromies, The crux of the outdoor season is upon us. Plenty of chopping and trimming allready going on. 1-3. Pineapple express lady getting nice and heavy. 4-6. WWxCheese also getting very lekker. 7-8. Sativa leaning pheno Fruitpunch lady bringing the goods, nice dense pungent nugs. 9-10. Verrryy Fruity bagseed clone cut from a revegged mother from last year. Strong haze genes. 11-12. One of the Bubblegum girls getting into the fade. Not a heavy yielder, but lots of flavour. 13. The Blue Cheese clones in our guerilla outdoor setup under the lights.1 point

End of week 3 of flower. The one on the left is still stretching. I'm using Activera and Fire juice only now. Can't help but start planning the next one already :) I'm thinking 2 x heavy yielding autos in 15 litre pots...1 point

So I had a bit of a fuck up, due to the height of the plants and the weight of the colas... some plants fell down at the back of the tent and then some move fell over onto the other plants which pushed more plants over... a lot of plants had colas falling over so I had to get in there and try hang the colas up to keep them up until harvest which is not that long from now for some of the strains as some are very quick strains I believe. If I could get to the back of the tent, I could post pics of some other strains but you guys will have to wait a while. French Cookies, not sure I will grow this again: Frosted Apricots (I really really like this strain so far, hopefully the yield is good and smoke is good too): Exodus Cheese - big buds but lacking frost... This strain needs no introduction, the frost tells you what it is... Sugar cane: Blunicorn:1 point

So took this pic last night quickly, this is what the flower tent looks like currently - looks a bit overgrown to be honest. lol The original plants are around 4 weeks into flower, bud is starting to form, frost is starting to build up and the tent smells delicious!1 point
