So I have cut the LSP now too. The Blunicorn is starting to look pretty good too: The Jelly Breath will likely be cut in the near future as well. Tent is starting to empty out now. French Cookies is not looking great, but it will be bud none the less I guess.

Pluto Cut Ja no I wouldn't do this strain outdoors again I heard Ethos could be finicky and that only the most perfect environments will do and I can see why. Out of all the outdoor plants I've grown this Pluto Cut has come out the worst. A lot of the plant is littered with powdery mildew, while the other outdoor plants I have are all sitting pretty. I will say though, the actual buds are very sticky and smells very pleasing. I am going to have to give the buds a proper wash at harvest. (sorry about the sideways pics, they are being automatically rotated as I upload and I've tried long enough to fix it )

In my point of view you approach the topic from the wrong angle. To many people wasting resources and sell crap, that needs to stop... is more my approach There are the right ways to do something and the rest is wrong. If you produce grow lights, but not even invest in a lousy 10k quantum flux meter, what is all to provide the needed information, then you do not really care what you sell and just look for a fast bug. is like a seed bank storing their beans in desk drawers and not climatized cabinets... or you design and produce engines without a dyno to check what kw your product has. A grow light comes with distance to hang... germ, veg and flower... point. Then you know how to use your light. Light is one of the most essential inputs you give at indoor growing, to much or to little is not good for your plants... if that wouldnt matter, wouldnt care if light producers hand over those numbers or not, but they matter, so they belong to each grow light... just advertise "home made light" if you dont give about and just sell some stuff. But then... nobody would buy. Half finished product, that is what a grow light with not accurate numbers is.

Tropic Banana #2 outdoor grown nuggies, tight trim vs loose trim. Not much Banana in the no2, she is very nice tho, smells like a old rag in a mechanics workshop, lol. Smokes is nice, potent erb, very gassy and earthy, but more like a diesel gas.

I've had good growth with seedlings at 20cm @ 25% strength, once the true leaves are out 25cm @ 50% then kept it at that height until flower, raised to 40cm @ 75%. Light bleaching started at 10cm. Anyone else noticed an increased need for CalMag under LEDs?

I run into so many people "growing" indoor and hardly get over 30g a plant... that is more indoor hibernating they do nothing wrong just use the wrong light or simply to weak. You change that factor and suddenly they grow awesome dense buds. Light has more importance compared to fertilizer.. is my opinion. Instead of using a "cheap" light, put the money you waste on Eskom into a jar and wait till the jar has enough for the right gear.. is a total win/win at the end, plants more happy.. you more happy. If you have no buddy helping you to setup your first indoor system, you will not get around reading for a few weeks. Isn't as expensive as most think.. just do it right or it is a barrel with no bottom money wise.

Greeting peeps Mate of mine introduced me to this forum a little while ago and today is the day I say hello, I have been active on international grow diaries but I would like to spend some time with local peeps Started having some fun with autos Septemberish last year, the first grow hit me with a multitude of problems (pests/soil etc) but this time things are going better. Currently doing a indoor/outdoor mix Plants are outside during the day (weather permitting) and inside at night in a tent at night This will probably be my last round of autos before diving into some photos Currently growing Sweet seeds: 2 x sweet gelato auto, 1 x Big devil auto xl Zkittles auto (maybe) (mother was seedsman, no clue what she germinated with) Sadly all my Fastbuds seeds/seedlings all died (yes those nice seeds from trophy we have read about) Looking forward to joining the community

Best to use pollen fresh. Had better success drying or dehumidifying my pollen before freezing, stays fluffy/powdery, but prefer rice above flour though. Plants have a pollination window when the tips of the pistils are just starting to brown, but its best to chuck more than once to increase your chances.

That would be correct. I imported mine from the factory though.

i have also battled with storing pollen. tried with and without flour... everything seems to cake up or mold eventually. even pollen finer than talcom powder when i stored it eventually stops being powder like. from my experience, a home grower should make and use the pollen in a short amount of time - as its harvested for best results. my best result is using pollen that was still powder, but was 2 months old... i must have used about a quarter teaspoon of pollen on a plant only to yield 4 seeds.... which were all male in the end hahaha. fresh is best!

No difference between autos and photos to my knowing. 3 weeks... give it more time

oooh I see the high hat peeping out behind the tent there! awesome man, I wish I could still be making some noise, but my set has been packed away for over 2 years now and when it was still out I didn't touch it for almost another 2 years. never letting any of it go though hahah got a Ludwig set with few Gibraltar upgrades and add ons. shit to have anything stolen, but your drums dude that's like having your baby taken from you. I am not even interacting with mine and would absolutely loose my shit if I had to loose it! your autos look amazing man, I haven't even had the courage to take on a auto run. said I was gona, but never did. still getting to know the ropes on the nutrient schedules and shit of photoperiods. I feel you have more room for error and all that so taking on autos you have to know what you doing. and it surely looks like you do.

I'm no guru but I'm chucking in my 2c. Buying a light from someone like California Light Works at what, R10000 plus. Yes I would expect instructions and more. Buying a light at 4k and a bit with all the boxes ticked, you work on a guide line for hanging distances. My first light was semi custom made using the latest diodes etc. Not mentioning names as I don't want to stir the pot but man, wish I could kit out my entire grow with his quality. @silverdelange aha I see, garage setup, do you have tech telling you the RH and temps close to your plants? Also very important here, good air circulation, like a fan blowing the stagnant air between the leaves and branches of the plants and sufficient fresh air for the plants? hows the breeding regime working? I assume there is a CS or STS thing going on if you're crossing fems, which means you will not be able to smoke the buds of the plant that you're treating to make pollen anyway, you might aswell dust that whole plant with DE. only if you not gona smoke the buds. the plants you wana smoke I will say make a 50% Neem mix and keep spraying the plants weekly to keep the bugs away, till say about 3 weeks before harvesting then you will NEED to wash the plant with water 24hrs after you spray it with neem. just to change the taste of the leaves and make it unfavourable for the buggers, don't let the neem sit on the buds. You will also NEED to wash the buds once dried. a 3 phase dunk bath with baking soda, citric soda and clean water to get rid of bugs and the neem that'll still be on the buds. don't wana smoke that. hope this helps bud, fuck can't loose a breeding project to a couple of bugs!

Contact the shop, which sold you the light... is not a grow light, if you don't get those numbers.. is just something that produces light ^^ Grow lights you get INSTRUCTIONS with it, how to use it, or is just not a grow light.. or anything can be a grow light. If somebody sells lights without those numbers.. STAY AWAY!

You got no hanging instructions from light it up? Contact them and ask... they should add that to the package, very essential information and belongs to each light sold. If they dont tell you, let me know and i build quick a setup and measure it for you. Dont buy lamps without the distances provided to hang them... is like buying a car without odometer.. turns the object into junk, if you cant use it how you should. Driving without knowing how fast you are... will get expensive over time. Hanging distances for germination, vegetative and flower are part of a good light.. a light without those information is a bit useless....

Hey man! Sounds like you have it all figured out, should have good success. Just made me realize I forgot to mention malted barley in my mix. The barley seeds will sprout if broadcast over the soil or mixed in, So I wouldn't stress too much about that, you want to add a decently layer of mulch for it to benefit your soil as a ''mulch'' so just keep that in mind. Also having a thicker layer of mulch makes you more susceptible to over watering issues, so just be careful there. Inoculating with beneficial would be best practice every month or so, this is only to make sure there is an abundance even in the case of dry downs, which in my mind would only be in very seldom scenarios. Pot sizes make a huge difference, especially in amended mixes, 20L is a good place to start, but I would advise against repotting more than once. So if you planting seed, straight into 20L, if you getting clones (what ever they coming in) straight into 20L. I've learnt with much trial and error that potting up (in living systems) almost always works negatively, probably largely due to stress but more so due to the substrates having the majority of the exudates and regions of the soil colonization, majority happening during the veg period, after that a significant amount of relationships lapse and sugars are pushed into the fruits. Organic practices do not have a guideline/chart, going by feel is essentially what you would have to do. So just remember, achieving the most nutrient cycling is what you want to do, that soil has a bucket load of nutrients. Good-luck and keen to see the grow!
