So I enjoyed working with the Slurricane cut last year, and my small sample grow of the chocolate Gelato x Slurricane gave me really good phenos. Made me decide to do another run and hunt out a few male and female phenos to push the F2 generation. Going to be running them in a mix of 1l to 5l pots, FF premium, and Biobizz.5 points

So I decided to start a couple of new plants from seed. I want to see if the new genetics from Green House is worth a try. I am trying the Deep Candy CBD strain and the Cloud Walker. They look good so far. I was disappointed with all the previous stuff I have grown from them.5 points

Small update on some of the strains I was growing and some for a second time, this time was a bit better I think, but also could have easily sparked catastrophe due to a cal/ more so mag deficiency in my soil which caused me to lose the ghost train haze (caution was thrown to the wind). Never the less the other plants snapped back well. Morning folks. So this past weekend was topping and training time for the mainline. This is alway a stressful exercise as you do not know how the ladies will react to the high stress training. But I am very happy to report that all the ladies took to the topping and training like champs. I initially thought that the Tortoni #1 and #2 will be a slow growers... but it looks like they were just slow out of the blocks and now catching up to the big 3 ladies. Tortoni #2 will get her topping soon. The Bubblegum looks like it will be the smallest in the tent. A true representation of a stocky Indica... The Palomino and Twisted Helix really recovered super quick from the topping and will be ready for the next top in a week or two. From the 5 plants I topped and trimmed I was able to get 34 cuttings. And they all seem to be getting on with the rooting stage. I tried something different in terms of lighting for the clone dome and it seems to work. Got LED strips from builders for cheap and just arranged it over the dome.. Palomino Twisted Helix GSC Tortoni #1 Bubblegum Tortoni #2 Tent view Clones Improvised Clone Dome5 points

Week 10. Leaves on some of the plants turning purple. Chilly and misty nights have arrived on the reservation. Wish I knew more about the plant to explain what's happening growth wise but looking pretty healthy.5 points

Ok guys... can dump all my tables.... I was rather reluctant to use bio heaven from BioBizz... just price wise. So i made a test with the pheno hunt on some clones i took. Let 2 1.2x1.2 trays compete with each other. Same mother, same soil, same water, same diodes, same fertilizer setup, except one tray got additional bio heaven. I was surprised about the result myself. The tray with bio heaven not just yielded 15 to 20% more dry buds, the potency test at canabliss showed 20% more thc content too. So yeah... is kinda worth it. I got a product, SA producer, claiming it does the same... is next test i will do. More then 10 times cheaper as Bio Heaven... If you use FF Premium, just go with the table you get at hydroponics.co.za for BioBizz. I didnt use the activera.3 points

Clones are looking great man! one consideration i have found is at 100% RH, i tend to get all kinds of funky happening in my dome after a week or so. i keep the vents on my dome open , and lift the side of my dome lid up by like 1cm so that the humidity drops a little... to like 90% i have found the cutting root a bit faster, and dont get any funky on them if they need to be in the dome for a while longer. basically i try aim for just before condensation runs down the lid3 points

Looks like you just about on time there bud, can repot now. Good rule is wait till the leaves reach the ends of the pot at least. Cool man!3 points

good on ya mate I got home late last night, it was dark, went into the greenhouse to water a few things and saw this mother of fuck.... all the photos are screenshots from a video. just chilling on a leaf and I took my phone out, it knew I was checking it out so it made a run for it! anyone know who's dog this is? it's in my yard3 points

Nice, looks good. A 9w led bulb in a lamp would probably work well for the clone dome too, I normally put my clone dome into my veg tent and haven't had issues with insufficient light. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk3 points

Greetings everyone. Im excited to join the family, I've been around the grow scene for some time, grew my first plant about 16 years ago, had a YouTube grow series which has been taken down by YouTube a couple of times, also been involved in the international forums, moderatored a few, but I thought it was time to make a move on local scene since it makes more sense especially when discussing local products. I enjoy helping and giving advise as well as receiving it and discussing methods and techniques with others. Im not sure if i can add one of my YouTube videos on the forum so I ll leave a couple of pics of my grows2 points

Heyo! I’m logging this here, and for future grows for all the strains I’m growing. I was suppose to end off with these 2 wedding cakes, however, it seems cooking the temp and tweaking things here and there have been working out alright for now. Some days I reach 35 degrees. In for a ride but positive. Growing. 2 front - @1000Hills Nursery wedding cake x smeet (will finish off in this thread) Back left - unknown white widow (thanks @SkunkPharm @GGG) Back right - In-house - Frosted apricots (partial about this one, but we will see) Feeding Water, ssts, fish hydrolysate, Epic 5:2, malted barley This specific soil contains neem leaf powder. Back 2 in 40l Maxgrow fabric pots - started flower on the 1st Jan1 point

I see just to many posting single Bio Bizz components they use.. is a fertilizer system and should be used like that. So here is my guide to Bio Bizz to use in soil (recommended soil: Freedom Farms Green Bag, Premium Classic). For Autoflower, follow the light-mix / coco mix table as good as you can, with 2 changes to be more on the save side, if you start with the fertilizer. You need 4 products for soil: Fish-Mix, Grow, Bloom and Top-Max First change to the table: Start giving Fish-Mix when you got your first 5 finger leaf growing, not before! Second change: Only start with Top-Max, when your flowers are finger thick. And no guessing how much you put into your water, be as accurate as you can be! 1ml is 1ml.. not 1.5 or 0.7.. is 1! Lets make a theory run: You start the germination process with sterile water and let them pop and grow to about 2cm root. Plant in your grow medium. As soon as the plants show their 5 finger leaf (end week 2, if slow week three), you add 2ml Fish-Mix to each liter of water you feed. (I syringe feed till they have occupied the 11 liter pot, is my max pot size for Autos) If you run feminized seeds, the time table is not for you. But till now, you did the same.. go on feeding 2ml till they reach about 100cm, go up to 3ml per liter Fish-Mix. When your plants show the first signs, that they go into flowering, swap from Fish-Mix to Grow and bloom. Autos follow the table, feminized go 2ml/2ml of each. When the flowers are easy to see by eye, I have the next shift and go 3/3 of Grow and Bloom. As soon as the flowers reach finger thickness, time to add Top-Max to the party (1ml). This is not nutrition, is a enzyme forcing flower production.. and rather expensive ^^ So easy with it. You stay on 3/3 grow and bloom per liter from now on till end, you just add 2 more stages of Top-Max depending how your flowers grow. So the final weeks you run 3 Grow, 3 Bloom, 3 Top-Max per liter of water. Every 2 weeks, put a flush day. Water the pots with pure water till you have a very good run off! Is to eliminate concentrated fertilizer pockets in the soil. If you use saucers, never ever let the plants stand in water for longer as 5 hours. Empty by hand if needed. 2 weeks before harvest you drop the Grow and Bloom.. if you feel freaky and your wallet is filled, stay on adding 2ml Top-Max only for the next 4-5 days, then pure water till the end. (I recommend a 2 day total darkness stress and no water before you cut and hang to dry.. if you haven't tried, try, curing time drops quite a bit with that method, smoke is way smoother from the start) Autoflower, you can follow that table really 1:1.. but plants not following their grow schedule you will kill. So always use your brain.. giving a not yet flowering plant bloom.. will hurt her over time. She just doesn't need the P yet in those amounts. The sole difference between Fish-Mix and Grow is that Grow is 75% Fish-Mix and 25% molasses. So when you swap from Fish to Grow, you reduce N and add sugar.. just that you understand. The additional sugar is also a way to push the plants into flowering.. what means.. do not use Grow on early Autos!!!!!! You can use Grow from time to time on your feminized in Veg state.. but I personal stick to Fish-Mix only during the growing phase. And a last little add on.. for Autoflowers I recommend to use Root Juice from Bio Bizz.. you can already dump the seeds in a glass with Root Juice mix (4ml) and also wet the paper towels with it. It improves the grow of your roots a lot.. and bigger roots mean faster grow.. Autoflower depend on being fast in the first 3 weeks or your plant will stay rather small. Is additional cost.. and not needed for Fems.. they have enough time ^^ Hope that helped.. any questions.. just ask.. and I wouldn't use Bio Bizz for Hydro... Fish-Mix has about the same smell as fresh diarrhea after a day when you let the water stand.. soil you smell nothing at all from the plants.. never used it on Coco.. so can't say. Hope that helped a little NPK ratios: Fish-Mix: 5-1-4 Grow: 4-3-6 Bloom: 2-7-4 Always give it a good shake before you use it!!!!!!!1 point

Morning folks. So I finished up with my second indoor grow and was quite happy with the results. So now it's time for my 3rd grow running some local genetics along with some international and established strains.. it's @Totemic time I learnt a lot from my last grow and have switched up a couple of things.. Soil - moved from Royal Gorilla to Freedom Farms classic (Very happy with this decision.. FF is a super stable soil with a very nice inherent nutrient balance) Seedlings - germinated in peat pellets as normal but for the seedling stage had them in 10cm pots for rooting with a subsequent transplant to the 20l fabric pots Nutes - I still have Seagro but decided for this grow I will only be running the BioBizz line (with some calmag throughout and molasses for flower) Lighting - for the seedling stage I only had my HLG 100 on and only flipped on the additional 300w grow bar rig 4 weeks into the veg stage. Genetics - so as stated I wanted to give some local heroes a go and half of the tent will be local. Seeds originally planned for the run: Totemic - Palomino (germinated within 3 days and growth is ridiculous - will most propably be the star of the tent) Totemic - Tortoni #1 (I initially thought this seed didn't germinate as it took quite a while for tap to show - 6 to 7 days) Totemic - Tortoni #2 (because I thought I lost the 1st Tortoni ) Inhouse Genetics - Twisted Helix Garden of Green - Girl Scout Cookies TH Seeds - Bubblegum G13 Labs - Raw Diesel (dud seed did not germinate... ) Ripper - Brain Cake (whack mutant plant. Not sure if it's the seed or initial rooting problems but it will be chucked..) Initial growth points towards 3 stand out ladies - Palomino, GSC and Twisted Helix.. the other 3 are stacking very tightly and will probably be bushy little ladies.. Germination was done on the 2nd of March and first topping and training for mainline will commence shortly. I still haven't introduced nutes yet as the leaf colour still looks spot on.. damn good soil that is!! Hi Guys Please see link if you are looking for insects. This is a good site to start. Stop spraying you plants woth chemicals. You will smoke it one day and you need it to be clean. Also remember if you extract your plants you concentrate those chemicals and they are not good for you. I am only posting this here cause sometimes you feel its to expensive to buy them. Please buy together and share delivery costs. https://livingseeds.co.za/garden-supplies/ipm-intergrated-pest-managment1 point

Howdy all! new to the platform, this is my 3rd grow, second indoor grow ever and I and optimistic to share my winter grow, I've got a 5x5 which I will be using as veg & flower. Picked up some beans (5 fem Cheese from Greenhouse Seeds Co), from @Cannabist they also blessed me with some free Cherry Gelato CBD Fems and @Bay Seeds reg f1 hybrids. I might plant one of those CBD as I am a medicinal smoker. I am planning on running 2-3 plants. I Listen to a lot of growing podcasts like TheDudegrows and enjoy all kinds of plant growing! I've got 50+ houseplants and also enjoy growing extremely wicked peppers. As for my setup 5x5 (not gonna use the full 5x5 area this winter grow) Living soil (looking to do a buildasoil recipe) Lighting Ive got a blurple, some 36W full spectrum t5 led tubes and some full spectrum smb chips I am hoping they will get me through some time in veg I will be building a qb from digikey or buying one in the next month or so. Hoping to hear from all of you when I start my grow journal and looking forward to share my journey!1 point

no sweat man, i use a little RH meter inside the dome for a few days until i find the sweet spot and make sure RH doesnt drop too low, then the meter comes out and is used for curing again haha1 point

Hi bro. Thanx for the tips. Yeah my cheap clone dome unfortunately doesn't have vents so I "burp" the dome daily and empty the dome from any run off condensation. My previous clone runs where I didn't do this I also got that funky/vrot situation. I will definitely do the 1cm lift to also help get the RH to that 90 mark. Thanx for sharing1 point

Exactly the same one, they do a great job of dealing with larva from fungus gnats & nutrient cycling as you mentioned. My indoor plants are healthy but last season outdoor was a nightmare with pests and the nematodes would of helped greatly. Let me know if you come across anyone selling it1 point
-
Which one? me too but a very specific one.... heterorhabditis nematode, they say they put these in the states not for any type of control (althought they will be the only ones alive) but for the sheer amount of nutrient cycling that species can do. But whose to know, I always wonder... if there are springtales in my system and its a sign of a healthy system, where did they come from? the diversity can explode just by adding EM throughout the soil food web. Maybe its time to get a scope1 point
-
Yea they not a bad range. With coco you will have to Supplement cal-mag during the whole grow due to Cocos cation exchange capacity or the plants will show calcium deficiency. Umyas Cal-Mag does a good job1 point

Running umya, Been giving them the nutes a few days after popping out the soil. Decided to try the umya feeding schedule and seems to work well. Just halfed the dose for the seedling stage.1 point

Thanx man. Yeah I popped the clones from the previous run into the veg tent and had some issues with excessive light. So this time round I thought to just give them enough time to settle then on to the tent for further rooting. Hopefully I get rooting from all the cuttings.1 point

Good news on he topic, hydroponic.co.za will be selling bugs soon too, supplied by Koppert i believe .1 point

I believe the reason you do it in a certain order is to ensure you do not have the calcium react with other nutes (I think the potassium, stand to be corrected). They can end up binding to one another and precipitating out of the solution I believe. If the calcium is chelated (such as calcium edta) then it should not be an issue. I recall reading somewhere that kelpak works better as a foliar spray though? Also the benefits are only on new / young plants, as they get older it is pointless continuing with the Kelpak. I do not think it will cause issues, I use GHE nutes and personally I'd just add it to my nute mixture when watering.1 point

Tropic Banana #2 outdoor grown nuggies, tight trim vs loose trim. Not much Banana in the no2, she is very nice tho, smells like a old rag in a mechanics workshop, lol. Smokes is nice, potent erb, very gassy and earthy, but more like a diesel gas.1 point

Thanx man. Will be cool to see a shit load of Totemic beans being run in different environments and set ups. Will get some good feedback. I will follow along when you pop those Totemic beans1 point

Yes, FF green bag and BioBizz... I have some Plagron shipping ^^ and want to test that.. just for fun. No supplier local.. I wouldn't wanna depend on Post Office. That is rather simple.. as I like to feed rather more then less. I watch the tips of the leaves. They tell me when to go water but at the end is learning a strain.. not learning to grow. You can do a dialed in grow on your first run of a new strain you test.. but that is rather unlikely. In general you need a few to get all the "special" parts of the strain. But my general routine is daily. I lift each pot to know who needs water. If I have the same strains in a tray, I usually just lift the most thirsty and not so thirsty. That tells me to mix a bucket or no. Tray feeding makes the feeding simple.. not helping to really get a perfect result. If you aim for the best, you have to give each plant a few seconds of your time a day. The Gelato I played with now, has its own tricky part.. can't over feed them or they revolt. So cut down 25% nutes on those an had a very smooth sail. never gave 4ml of anything.. beside the flowering stimulators As I feed each time i water, I expect more to run into over feeding issues, then under feeding. So the first change is always pure water. That deals with the over feeding symptoms for your feeding solution. Next 2 you can run into is Mg and Ca deficiency... you find pictures on the web.. Ca can also relate to white dots forming on the leaves.. not as easy to find, so I add it. Internet pictures should be your first go to. Or make some close ups and post here.. if in doubt. Not often you run into Fe issues.. fresh soil, you never ever should. Mg comes up most, if not one of your NPK culprits. Ca behind.. Fe.. you really have to use strange stuff Once you grew a strain for a few times, you will actually learn yourself what to do and what they dislike. Is the reason I run grow sheets.. to know where to look, if I run into troubles. Once I am happy with my result.. I also don't run a grow sheet anymore on that strain and just use the information i learned before.. I am just a amateur at the end and have fun with what I am doing. When you start racing a car.. you don't hop in and after 2 laps you challenge a F1 Pro. You do laps and improve, the more you do on the same track, the better you become. The more tracks you drive, the better you get on those tracks. And dude.. you will crash some cars, if you want to become a professional racing driver Experience helps... after a few hundred plants.. thank god, some mistakes I learned to avoid My first go to is always the internet picture section.. you know how your issue looks like.. search and trust your eyes. On the way you learn a lot more as just how to solve your issue. You read and judge if it just makes sense.. common sense is all you need growing weed. Indoor you can mess up a lot more as outdoor.. strange but true Crap light.. crap results. Crap ventilation.. crap results. Crap climate.. crap results. Indoor you have to check a lot more factors then outdoor... so you just add those to the indoor checklist for the strain1 point

I added a bit of wood ash, and 10l of well aged leaf compost. I have this box of EcoVit lying around, so added roughly 250g before mixing again. After some tilling i gave the first water, mixed EM ProSoil at about 1ml a liter. Drainage is very poor at the moment, but to be expected with the clay present.
