2021 Indoor Growoff Format, Rules & Guidelines ------------------------------------- Seed Drop Window - 8 May 2021 to 22 May 2021 Soft Switch Deadline (changing to flowering light hours) - 3 July 2021 Judging Deadline (only if you miss Soft Switch Deadline) - 7 September 2021 ------------------------------------- Growoff Format Growers will all be growing out the same feminized seeds provided by Totemic Cannacraft. The format is relatively straight forward - grow out all the seeds provided, document accordingly and your grow will be judged at the end. Your grow has to be performed Indoors Only and needs to be started during the Seed Drop Window indicated above There is no harvest deadline but instead a Soft Switch Deadline, which entails the following: The Soft Switch Deadline will be the 3rd of July, which gives you sufficient time to veg your plants and 10 weeks to flower till around the 7th of September. If you choose to switch before or on the 3rd of July, you may continue your grow till you are happy that your plants are finished. There is no harvest deadline. If you choose to switch after the 3rd of July, a Judging Deadline applies and the state of your plants will only be judged on how they are on the 7th of September. Each grower will germinate and grow out all 3 seeds till harvest but choose only one plant to be put forward for judging. Not all seeds are required to be grown out till the end, your chances of success will just be greater if you grow out all 3 plants. Each grower will be required to run a diary of their grow updating their diary every 7 days. Please see the rules thread for more details on competition rules Once all grows are complete the judges will then deliberate and decide the winners. Basic Rules Your grow must be performed INDOORS ONLY. Your plants may not be placed under the sun for an extended period of time. You are only allowed to take your plants out very briefly for photographing. This is a rule that is impossible to enforce so we have to rely on trust and your honesty. You may only grow out the competition seeds provided by Totemic Cannacraft. No other genetics may be grown out. If you attempt to use other genetics it will be identified and you will be immediately disqualified. Growoff Diary Rules & Guidelines Each participant is required to run a Growoff Diary under the Growoff Diaries board. Diaries are subject to certain rules that ensure this competition remains as fair as possible for all taking part. PLEASE READ THE BELOW RULES CAREFULLY TO AVOID DISQUALIFICATION Getting Started Create your own topic/thread underneath the Growoff Diaries board. The topic title must be your Username ONLY. For example if your username is John33 your topic must be called John33 and nothing else. This topic/thread will be your official Growoff Diary. Your first diary entry must be please be a shot of your Totemic Tortoni seed pack with all 3 seeds in. You can do this as soon as you have received your seeds. Those that received their seeds from 420SA and did not collect from Totemic will receive a unique Growoff sticker with their 420SA Profile name on. Please include this sticker in your photo along with your seed pack. Seed germination must take place during the Seed Drop Window. Please document your seed germination technique in detail. We need this information to determine accountability should germination not be a success, and whether we can replace your seed pack (courier at own expense). You can grow out as many of the 3 seeds as you wish. Every plant that you do grow will need to be documented in your diaries. You will be choosing your best plant at the end. Diary Update Frequency Diaries must be updated at least once every 7 days. Your diary will effectively begin from the day of germination so please record that day in your diary. Diaries with more frequent and extensive updates are most welcome. Your diary updates must be current and not contain images of your plants taken more than 1 day before you post your update. Diaries that are not updated in time will be flagged and will undergo a warning process which involves a 1st Warning once a diary has been detected as out of date. If the diary has not been updated within 24 hours of the 1st Warning, a 2nd Warning is applied. If the diary is not updated within 24 hours of the 2nd warning you will be disqualified from the Growoff, unless a valid excuse is given. If you anticipate a late diary entry before hand please notify @420SA, @PsyCLown, @Ill_Evan or @CreX as soon a possible and we will review your situation to accommodate for it. Forgetting to update your diary in time is unfortunately not a valid excuse. We recommend setting a reminder on your phone for diary updates. Diary Update Contents Please include all details of your grow In each update please include how many days/weeks you are into veg or flower. Please include images of each plant Please document your feeding and pest control regime. Please avoid taking photos where plants are lit up by purple LED light or the heavy orange/yellow spectrum of HPS bulbs. You may take plants outside for photographs in the sun. These rules are subject to amendments in the upcoming days

Its not a bad Idea to do that, but you can over do it easily with pot ash when amending a soil and that will cause your PH to go through the roof, I wouldn't go over 2% of the volume of soil.

I just love the leaf and bud structure on that one, It looks like the mother plant. She had this pig shit sweaty smell while the male was pure citrus and lemons.

Yeah, sometimes. Finding the right pheno from Ethos, in my experience, has proven to be quite a challenge. Seems one needs to purchase multiple packs of seeds. A lot of what I have tried from Ethos has been a bit disappointing and just overhyped in general. Never found that keeper pheno unfortunately.

not much happening right now, still recovering from the HST and settling into their new pots, growth is rather slow. still on 18/6, *since repotting them I've been giving only dechloronated tap water ph down to 6.0, will give 0.5ml/L fishmix in days to come. picking a leaf here and there everytime I open the tent.

Some updates on some of the plants still in the tent... The one Sugarcane I still have going, this one went into flower quite a while after the others. Here is the Bananium, don't think I have posted pics of it in flower yet. How do you guys think it looks in comparison to the Sugarcane? It has not been given the attention it deserves, but very keen to grow it out again and see what it can really do! When I get a chance, I will try take some pics of the bud which is dry and trimmed so you guys can see - will be the Exodus Cheese and LSP next in terms of bud pics.

Hey All I hadn't planned on doing a log or grow report on this when I started, but as this was my first time growing out an Auto and go at HSO seeds. So, I thought I'd give you a gathering of the images, all that I have in one place, and as the stuff cures, will write up a smoke report, if anyone is interested? Not the start, but around half way through flowering. Plant 1 Plant 2 Plant 3 The Group shot, 3 weeks before harvest The top of number 2, head in the clouds From the top looking down on number 3 Night of the chopping About 2 week in to the dry, and the 2 remaining plants, 1 and 3, then cleaned and put into jars as below The finished product, started the curing process and its oh so sticky and juicy smelling, it's no wonder this strain gets high reviews on the Terpenes, the citrus aroma is intense and pungent, plant 1 with a grapefruit flavor smoke and smell, and then plant 3 with an interesting woody lemon vibe. You could be a tester on the first batch. I'm loving the idea of growing these regular autos next spring and summer. A sea of purple autos. I'm honestly considering switching to only autoflowers. It's so nice being able to spot the males so early. I don't mind growing lots more smaller plants with more possible hybrids.

Sorry guys, not much to update on here - just harvesting as plants are maturing. Do not have much left in the tent anymore. Some dry bud pics, I always struggle to take nice bud pics though and these are not the best but hopefully help give you guys an idea. Frost on all 3 is pretty good, particularly the sugarcane (duh) and frosted apricots. Slurricane is also frosty but I feel a tad less than the other two. These are not macro photos, just taken with a cell camera and then cropped. These are also not the biggest buds / colas, just reached into the jar to take out what I could get. I will admit that weight wise, none of these 3 are exceptional yielders but not terrible either. I have had other plants yield less. I prefer clones that others have grown before just for some guidance and certainty if needed. But I love the surprise of seed. I was thinking of maybe doing 2 x @Totemic for the indoor competition but I am undecided as I already have those clones(and others) too many great genetic and too little time and space

Ez 420SA, I trust you are all ready for the weekend. As per the title this thread has been created with the hope that some of you with photography skills would be so kind as to share some love covering the photography of cannabis. As I'm sure you have seen, I have zero photography skills and even less when it comes to editing. Ek voel baie sleg daar oor, I mean the grow is looking good, but I can't seem to show this with my potato images. I have zero desire to hemorrhage my hard earned on a fancy pants camera and lenses and tripod and and and... For me, the money is better spent on improving or expanding the infrastructure of the actual grow or investing in FIRE plant material. I know this topic is covered in numerous articles on a plethora of site, but I thought it would be rad to have to discussion covering this topic. I think it may even be a rad option for members to add their pics to the thread so members can track their improvement, or outcomes after editing. The more you know... Thanks in advance.

Yes, the one in flower has a few clones, so it will live on, and sorry to hear about your misfortune on the germination of them. Outdoor will be awesome for this plant.

That is incorrect, the duration of light will determine whether the plants will be in veg or flower. What I meant is that a few led bulbs won't be sufficient for a plant to thrive during flowering and your yield will be affected negatively. It's worth a shot, however I'd recommend spending a bit of money on a proper grow light to assist with flowering to ensure you get some quality bud. Seedlings and veg plants don't require much light, different story when the plant goes into flower though. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Believe it or not bru, i found the advice on an organic gardening site. The bottle contains 25000 mites housed in vermiculite, so i sprinkled a little in the pot and held the mouth of the bottle on the leaves that are most affected. Just did the mom's this morning before work. I'll do the tent tonight.
